As far as the gifting you can drop your gun so he probably just swapped his loadout and let you pick up the m4. which might have also had some attachments to mitigate recoil, m4 is also a pretty low recoil gun anyway maybe youre just better than you realised. I think a lot of the points you've made can be rationalised but it is a bit sus with everything together especially that early in the game unless the player just had ridiculous map sense and knows where all the loot is to begin with

What you’re talking about isn’t even possible with hacks. There’s no hack to parachute in with a gun. It’s just gun skins and he landed at a good spot with a couple floor loot weapons.

You can change weapon camos in the lobby before entering a game. Those are just the weapon skins. Same as you would pick up in the beginning with no attachments.

Find Cod Narco on YT and enjoy some entertaining homework:). Some of the stuff is mostly appropriate for experienced players and sweats, but it is a great channel for tips and tricks. + he’s got a good voice guy to do the narrating, making it more entertaining.

Don't go to marked areas, try to land in outlying houses in between the marked areas. Bots usually appear there so you can rack up kills. Memorize the map. Know when to run and when to fight. Stay low until you hear there's half of the teams left or better yet, last 5 teams remaining. Also check COD Narco in youtube for BR tips. Aim for at least 5th place always.

I started playing 3 finger claw (lil hard to adjust from thumbs) & it was huge; movement & aim greatly improved, couple games away from Legendary now. My tips: knowing when to use hip fire vs. ads, picking your gunfights & patience is key

You are not a professional player,so dont rush into a fight thinking you can kill them all....play smart and patient,always try to find cover and eventualy you will get the kill...winning is better than sacrificing yourself for the most kills in game...dont forget the objective is to be last man standing...also it helps if u play with some normal people(try building your own team)....avoid tryhards since they will make your life miserable...and the last one,dont forget its only a game....have as much fun as possible and if you lose learn something from it and load up a new match...

If there were competence, then the stats would have never been hidden in the first place. No stats would… they fail to be transparent with their players and balance their game. There’s a reason why some of the biggest clan in the game or direct stab at the stupidity of the devs

Master, Grandmaster and Legendary ranks in MP is when you start to face off against real players.

Hone your skills in normal MP before jumping into ranked. Choose a gun you like and a playstyle that suits you, and then perfect it.

Take it from someone who has regularly been legendary 10K+ and sometimes even leaderboard level, honing your skills is a must.

Man you started playing 3 days ago, you’re not doing anything wrong. You’re doing good.

But for context, from Master onward you play against only real players (I think if you lose a few in a row you play vs bots)

Most real players been playing for YEARS, or intensly for months. They have muscle memory on their sensitivity, probably play 3 to 8 fingers, and just more practice/game sense so can predict you easier.

That’s normal, as like if you play a game of chess vs someone with a higher elo, or a sport vs someone who has been playing for years.

You’re doing good even getting to that in 3 days most players dont touch ranked that soon.

This is totally optional, but I’ll drop it here just in case.

If you do quickly want to become quite competitive in these lobbies and dominate. I would do the following:

1. Search up Hud + sensitivity + settings from some good players - either comp players or maybe streamers like Rebalo, Coscript, Vague, LittleB, Space.

Any of them will do, if you can choose one based on your preferred playstyle even better.

Pros will likely be better and also keep in mind your sens is kinda linked to screen size and a lot of the streamers play on iPad so you might need higher acceleration

You can copy their hud code/sens

Some tips:

• Try to switch to a 4 finger or at least 3 finger hud at least. Personally the sooner the better imo as you just get past the learning curve.

• Go training mode - practice flicks (basically shooting bots while ads locking from target to target) and tracking (shooting them while mlving)

Maybe try use this calculator too: https://aimcodm.web.app/ as it’s meant to help with muscle memory + then you know you got a good ratio.

To get used to the hud/sens, play vs bots on shipment and other pubs. It’s worth it. You can learn from how you die in ranked, but in terms of building up aim it’s good to play vs bots in pubs. Try to unlock advanced UAV and use it vs Bots to learn spawns too that will help you predict enemies.

Maybe what I am describing here is overkill, and maybe its something you implement bit by bit over weeks/months. But just play however you find it fun, and you’re doing great already.

A lot of players who played for years don’t do a lot of this, so you can get extremely good quickly with these tips.

Also optional, maybe more advanced practice movements but I would do the hud thing first.

Just keep playing. You'll get better over time. If ranked is overwhelming, it's good to play some public matches from time to time. I still get trashed sometimes, and I've played since day one.

When you start you play bots. You are finding the real players. Keep it up.

You get an animated emblem called “Dj Double Kill” for playing 50 matches in Vondel, which is another secret challenge.

Kill 25 Operators (other players, doesnt work on dmz bots) with melee weapons - gets you a tonfa blueprint (cant confirm this on my own, but heard of it.)

I also executed an operator on Vondel and it was a secret challenge that rewards you the "Let's Go Clubbing" execution. Hoping someone writes up a summary of all these secret challenges soon.
