TL;DR For an affordable Cadillac, consider the Cadillac ATS or the Cadillac CTS. Both offer a blend of luxury and performance at a reasonable price point.
Cadillac ATS
The Cadillac ATS is often recommended as a good entry-level luxury vehicle. It offers a sporty driving experience with its agile handling and powerful engine options. The ATS is known for its sleek design and comfortable interior, making it a popular choice among those looking for a luxury car without breaking the bank. It's a great option for someone who appreciates driving dynamics and wants a car that stands out in terms of style and performance.
Cadillac CTS
Another excellent choice for an affordable Cadillac is the Cadillac CTS. This model provides more space and comfort compared to the ATS, making it suitable for those who prioritize a roomy interior. The CTS also boasts strong performance capabilities, with several engine options available, including a V6 and a V8. Its sophisticated design and high-quality materials make it a compelling choice for anyone seeking a luxurious yet affordable vehicle.
Considerations Beyond the Discussions
When selecting an affordable Cadillac, it's important to consider factors such as your budget, the features you value most, and the type of driving experience you desire. Both the ATS and CTS have received positive reviews for their performance, luxury features, and overall value. Additionally, researching used models can provide even more affordable options, as Cadillacs tend to depreciate quickly, allowing you to find a well-maintained vehicle at a lower cost.
the volvo
If your going Volvo C30 I’d go for the T5 if possible or D5, Brera is very unreliable but are stunning cars
Alfa electrical problems are described by the Alfa owners club as “part of the charm”
Volvo.
The c30 is an amazing car. Owned it for a good while now. Got good power and insurance is pretty decent compared to even 1 litre cars, you get much more for your money.
It’s in our DNA that bigger=better
European per capita GDP: $44,387 USA per capita GDP: $85,810
This more or less tracks with disposable income for all income brackets.
Unregulated capitalism and weird gas efficiency laws.
They're compensating
As a driver of a 4 door pickup, I have zero issues with parking or visibility.
I got an old sedan with a broken alternator that I want to donate to an organization. I know there are plenty out there to donate to. I just want to know what my options are. It would be best if they could come pick it up for me and tow it away.
If you know of any places that take cars and could tow it from culpeper, VA , please tell me in the comments! Thank yall so much
Better off selling for cheap on Facebook or offer up. Sell it cheap and it will be gone quick. Donate the money or portion if you want. Tax write off isn't what a lot of people think. Plus the charities also get pennies on the dollar unless they process and sell the cars which almost none do.
Many charitable organizations use the same back end service provider (https://careasy.org/) to handle the actual logistics of getting the car and moving on to the next step (sale, auction, disposal, etc.) So, pick an organization that you'd like to support and there's probably a link on their website to donate your vehicle, or go through the link above.
I donated a car a few years ago using this service and it was all very easy. I know people at the nonprofit that benefitted and they confirmed that a high percentage (80%?) makes it to the nonprofit. I set an appointment, the pickup driver came to me, loaded the vehicle on, gave me a receipt to show it was picked up. Later, when my car did get more than $500 at auction, I was sent a receipt for tax purposes showing the actual amount. (If it's less than $500 you can just deduct $500 with no receipt).
Also, avoid Kars for Kids. Gets very low ratings for the amount that actually gets to the charity.
I donated one last month to cars helping veterans . They came and picked it up at my house
NPR takes car donations.
I live just outside of Charlottesville and donated my car to the Purple Heart Foundation a few years ago. It was no longer running and they towed it out of our barn. I recommend the careasy.org the other commenter mentioned. It was really easy to arrange!
Thanks so much
Automatic? Then mechatronic rubber seals.
^^ this or torque converter
Hardy Disc or ABS Sensor?
I had a friend in my backseat, who tripped getting out of the car and pushed the door open, hitting the parked car next to me. I have a green car and the green paint transfer is obvious. It’s late into the night and I’m not sure what to do. Do I leave a sticky note on the car? It’s apartment parking so I know it’s my downstairs neighbor. Should I go to them tomorrow? Should I just give them my insurance Info? I want to do the right thing, I just don’t know what the right thing is,
They always used to say, That'll buff right out. But that was in the days before clear coat and thin sheet metal that would flex enough to make that kind of dent happen. Take it to a body shop and get an estimate. After it comes in at $1500 and a week in the shop because the whole panel has to be straightened, sanded, painted and clear coated, tell the cat that you'll give him $200 if he'll just live with it. Otherwise it's insurance time.
I'd be remiss if I didn't say that it looks like your car was still moving when your back seater stepped out of the car and "tripped". People frequently trip when they step out of a moving car. The insurance adjuster is going to know that before they're within 10 ft of the car. LOL
Accidentally reversed into someone’s car one time, no major damage but a scratch. Body shops he took it to quoted $700-$800 for all of the stuff you mentioned. I offered $250 for it and he was like bro you need to make it right, which I told him I would do cause it was a scratch.
He didn’t like my offer and I told him alright let’s go through insurance and than he was like “never mind man I’ll just handle it myself.”

The car was full stopped. My friend was wasted.
Unrelated, but designated drivers save lives. Good on you.
What kind of cash should I offer them for something like this?
They should get a repair estimate price that you'll handle.
That doesn't look like a cheap repair, ngl. Insurance maybe the way to go. Just have to check your options. If you can afford a lump sum payment, it may save you in the long run. Even if insurance does an inspection, if you decided to pay it out of pocket instead, you still can. The owner will most likely just have to show proof of the repairs to the insurance company.
Why isn't your friend who caused the damage offering cash? It's kind of a shitty friend if he walks away with 'not my problem' attitude. You broke it, you fix it.
Well if you tripped getting out a car I wouldn’t talk to you, I would talk to the owner of the car.
good on you for doing the right thing. but your friend should be paying, not you.
My friend was here visiting and they did offer me money to help. But I would still need to go thru the motions of this and not sure of that,
Nice!
Pretty cool!
That ridiculous bouncing car...
Not for sale… these cars must be driven!
Nice pic. Shows how low it sits even next to a vette.
I agree but to add to that the vette is on a raised part of the showroom floor
That ceiling has seen better days.
a month ago my 2013 kia forte officially was declared undrivable. my stepdad, (who drives a 2011? escalade) just surprised me with a 2010 3.0 CTS!!! im SUPER excited. anything i should know/look out for! im a safe driver and im incredibly careful; rarely speeding over 5mph over, consistent with maintenance… overall its beautiful and im so happy!
I also went from a Kia to a Cadillac last year. My engine finally seized in my 13 optima. Had it repaired under warranty and almost instantly traded it it for a 24 CT5-V. Dealership low balled me but i didnt care. I needed a CT5-V lol. Such a great upgrade.
I also love Deftones. I'm going to see them with Syndrome of a Down and Polyphia on Sept 5.
Not sure if your model has the CUE infotainment center but my 2010 XTS did. If you do and have have CUE problems, you can get replacement screens for around $100 on the internet. Replacing is a big PITA but you can do it vs paying a stealer or mechanic big bucks There are a bunch of YouTube videos on how to do it.
Nice , just keep it clean.
Congrats and enjoy! I have a 2011 CTS V and don’t want to get another car. Love it even for the age
Picked this up last night. I couldn’t pass it up. It just showed up yesterday morning this is my first time owning a Cadillac. I was looking for a daily but something fun and something my family can enjoy. I kept going back and forth with this and the is500 both different cars and power I know, But man I loved the interior in this and I was shocked how fun and quick it is and sounds amazing.
You will love the 3.0 TT. I wasn't sure when I first got mine (CT6 Platinum) it's been rock solid. Great power and trouble free. Oh I forgot, gets over 30 mpg on the highway too.
Amazing looking car! Congrats. I want to test drive to see how I like it, but all dealerships around me don't have a CT5-V available. Not even one. These cars are very popular and my guess is maybe people order them without even test driving
There is about 4 in Houston now that I seen. I wasn’t too big on white but I showed up and this was just coming off the truck with the black wheels the seats etc. I test drove it and was like yea this is the one. Love at first sight. I test drove the BW was also white it was used but I couldn’t justify to pay 95k this was worth it the speed the luxury it all had what I needed. Wait till you get one you like and go for it!
Yesss! Sweet CT5-V!
It’s a wonderful car. Love mine and it’s a head turner. It’s rare to see a V badge Cadillac amongst the sea of the Germans.
I love how good they look, but also how unassuming they are, especially the Blackwing models.
They are very if you know you know cars.
HELL YEAH 🎯🏁🇺🇸
I’ve had the good fortune to drive BMWs, Mercedes-Benz, and a beautiful jaguar Van Den Plas that for my Money gave me the smoothest ride I’ve ever had but there’s something about Cadillac that I just love.
I purchased this 2015 CTS with 75,000 miles on it for $11,500 in February . I drive it once or twice a week and The owner was a parts manager at a Cadillac dealership ….I have the Carfax report and Everything has been done meticulously at the dealership. It even smells brand new. I will continue the meticulous maintenance. It’s good to be back !!!!
I love that view, the Cadillac makes it that much more beautiful
… miss my 2015 Red Obsession CTS still and rue the day I was brow-beaten by my wife to switch to Lexus WHICH I HATE. Goin’ back to a CT5!
I don’t get the Toyota/Lexus hype. Sure they’re reliable but they just suck to drive
…. transmission CONSTANTLY hunting for a shift!
Those darn wives 😂
My grandma used to buy all her cars at Mark Christopher
That must be a nice memory, grandmothers are special
A hack i learned to keep the car always smelling new is to get Chemical Guys new car scent and spray a clean rag with it and keep it under the drivers seat
Excellent idea. Thank you so much.
Im going to have to try this now!
That's quite the steep hill, California?
Yes, sir south Pasadena
