TL;DR
Ninja DZ401 Foodi
The Ninja DZ401 Foodi is frequently recommended across discussions for its dual basket feature, which allows for cooking multiple dishes simultaneously. Users appreciate its versatility, including functions like roasting and dehydrating, making it suitable for family-sized meals [1:1]. Some users have used it long-term and find it reliable
[1:4].
Cosori Air Fryer
The Cosori Air Fryer is another popular choice, praised for its powerful motor and quiet operation [5:1]
[5:8]. It offers spacious baskets that are easy to clean, with affordable replacement parts available
[5:5]. The Cosori models cater to various needs, from basic models to more advanced ones with dual heating elements
[5:3].
Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro
The Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro stands out for its large capacity and solid build quality, making it ideal for entertaining or larger meals [5:2]. It features stainless steel construction, which is easy to maintain, and includes smart functions that integrate with recipes via an app
[5:12]. However, some users have noted issues with part failures in similar models
[5:9].
Considerations and Features
When choosing an air fryer, consider the size and style that best suits your cooking needs. Basket-style cookers are typically easier to clean and more affordable, while oven-style fryers offer more versatility but can be harder to clean [4:3]. Smart functions may not add significant value for everyone, as traditional timers and notifications suffice for most users
[5:11].
Ultimately, the best air fryer depends on personal preferences regarding capacity, ease of use, and specific features desired.

Great list! Iāve been eyeing the Ninja DZ401 for a whileāhas anyone used it long-term? Wondering if the dual-basket feature is actually useful or just a gimmick. Also, thanks for including the Breville Smart Oven! I didnāt even know it had air frying capabilities. Appreciate the recommendations!
Thanks for the detailed breakdown! Iāve been debating between the Ninja DZ401 and the Instant Pot Vortex Plus for a while now. Has anyone used both and can share a comparison? The Ninjaās dual baskets seem great for multitasking, but Iām wondering if the Vortex offers similar versatility. Appreciate the recommendations!
Ninja DZ401 one of the best we are using 5 years I thing if you broke your old one best choose is Ninja DZ401
Thanks for sharing this!
I really want to thank you for this one. Months ago my air fryer died and this helped me to choose which one to buy next. Ended choosing the Ninja DZ401 and loved it since it's been easier to use than the other air fryers I had.
Iām considering purchasing an air fryer and would love to hear your thoughts! With so many options available, itās overwhelming to choose the right one. Iāve done some research and compiled a list of air fryers that seem popular, but Iād like to know your personal experiences or any recommendations you might have.
What do you think about these options? Are there any other models you would recommend based on your experience?
I recommend Cosori this one explained here
https://www.reddit.com/r/airfryer/comments/1hsf0or/best_air_fryer_right_now_recommendation/
Iāve been using Instant Vortex Plus every day for over a year and I literally donāt know how I lived without it. I thought that I would use it for a month and get tired of it and it will waste storage space, but now I would rather get rid of the oven if I had to choose. I used to have a Delimano airfryer when I lived with my parents and I really didnāt like the taste of food and everything was kind of dry, we never even used it actually, so if you do get one make sure to get a good one.
Breville Smart Oven for me, mostly because it has so much space
You definitely need to add nutrichef's quart airfryer in that list!!!! - it is my FAVOURITE thing in the world currently because of the following reasons:
- It has a GLASS BASKET. You can actually SEE the entire food and not just peak from a tiny hole on top.
- Glass basket also means it's easier to clean
- It also means it's healthier because no PFAs/teflons and microplastic coatings like in the regular baskets. Less chance of cancer woohoo
- Did i mention i love the glass basket yet?
I love the size too - specially for the price. Pretty big. 100% recommend - im literally obsessed with it.
I'm looking to buy an air fryer but feeling overwhelmed by all the options. I'd love to hear your experiences and recommendations for the best air fryer on the market.
Looking for something:
Would really appreciate specific model recommendations and why you like them. Any features you've found particularly useful? Also interested in hearing about any models to avoid.
After looking around I found this reddit post about top air fryers! Looks ok and got some good info!
This air fryer is by far the best purchase I've made to help with weeknight dinners. It's superior to other name brands on the market. Solidly made, heats up very quickly and delivers amazing results. As other have pointed out there is a smell at the first use, however, that smell dissipated on second use for us and it hasn't been an issue. It also cleans up very well!
my personnal favorite is ninja dualzone (AF300)
The Ninja Foodi 9-in-1 is hands down the best air fryer I've used. Great temperature control, fits a whole meal for my family, and the nonstick coating actually works. Worth every penny.
on my xmas list to buy but really don't want to spend hours in the research, lol
it would be for teenagers making quick meals between school and work.
What is your recommendation for best air fryier right now?
This is the top 11 best air fryers under $100 on the market with their pros and cons and a buying guide. I hope it will be helpful to you and to anyone who needs it. https://theeverydaykitchen.com/best-air-fryers-under-100/
Generally basket-style cookers are easier to clean as well as more affordable. Get a larger one if you'll want to cook more portions, the smaller ones really are too small for more than one or two portions at a time. I recently got a Cosori 5.8qt model and am happy with it so far.
The toaster-oven style ones benefit from more versatility, but they're a much bigger pain to clean and none of them air-fry more than one layer very well. Quality here is all over the map, you really need to do research to get a good one (also all the good ones are much more expensive). They also take up much more counter space than the basket ones.
I have an oven style from Pampered Chef. It came with a rotisserie, rotating basket for fries etc. and skewers for kabobs. You are correct in that to get a good frying effect, you need to be on the top rack. But when doing things like wings, you just switch the racks mid-way and they come out perfect. The only thing we use the oven for now is larger baking projects and things like turkey or large roasts. Love the machine!
there is no consensus since there are 100's to choose from, and everyone has their own criteria on what matters to them
Everyone mentioned it already but I've used the Cosori XL on and off for about a year now, it's been an awesome addition to our kitchen. Gets things very crispy
Hello, I'm in the market for the best air fryer of 2025 and not too concerned about budget. Iām looking for something that delivers excellent cooking results, is easy to clean, and ideally has a solid build quality. Iād also love to hear about any standout features you think are worth the extra costāthings like smart functions, multi-zone cooking, or anything that sets it apart from the rest.
Whatās the best air fryer you've used or would recommend right now?
Breville Joule Oven Air Fryer Pro. It's large enough to be useful for things like Thanksgiving and when you are entertaining. Build quality is excellent. Its easy to clean (stainless steel) so justa little bar keepers friend and a sponge keeps it looking like new. Has every function you could want and the app is useful and features continue to improve.
I have owned several "higher end" air fryers over the years, including several generations of the Instant Omni Plus, and they have all have at least one major flaw. The Breville does not (at least not that I jave found yet). So far, it has been a wonderful addition to our home, and our daily routine.
I love my Breville Smart Oven that's like the Joule without the smart features, but I don't think it is a particularly good air fryer. It works ok for that purpose, but the cheap dedicated air fryer I have gives better results faster for most foods.
I've had 3 BOV900 which is very similar to the Joule. They all had part failures whether it's the air fryer/convection fan, control panel, or the cheap door spring. As far as build quality goes, disappointing is an understatement. The fan was loud and got louder with age. The air frying results was inferior compared to a basket type air fryer. It did a great job as a small oven though for baking and reheating.
I'm currently using a Thyphur Dome. The fan is a lot quieter, cooks faster and the air frying results better.
I just got one of these this week. I didnāt spend too much time investigating though. The Joule was the same price as the model beneath it and had more pans etc so I got it. I did pay $50 more for the black stainless steel which looks nice.
Itās a big item but it replaced our air fryer and toaster oven so looks better on the counter. It cooked a frozen pizza really nicely.
Hopefully they donāt all have the issues the other guy posted.
Air fryers arenāt BIFL. The coatings will last years if youāre lucky, but never as long as stainless steal or iron. I really like my Cosori for the powerful and relatively silent motor. Some of the new ones have two heating elements, that seems to be a a meaningful improvement. I really like airfryers, I hardly use my oven anymore, they are very fast and stuff like french fries or roasted chickens taste way better than made in traditional ovens. Tough to predict how long they last and always asking for the latest tech, but that should last a lifetime contradicts itself.
That makes sense. Iāve heard a lot of people say the coatings donāt last forever, even on higher-end models. Iāve been considering Cosori too ā good to know it runs quiet and has a strong motor. Havenāt tried the dual heating element ones yet, but that actually sounds like a solid upgrade. I agree though, expecting BIFL quality from air fryers is probably unrealistic.
One more thing I like about the Cosori so far: they offer affordable replacement parts like baskets and they are relatively easy to clean. This might extend their lifespan. For instance itās possible to remove the top heating element with 3 screws and clean the area above it. One of the most common complaints about air fryers is that they are so difficult to clean, especially above the heating elements, where there are many hard-to-reach areas.
Here's Technology Connection's video about air fryers which led me to go grab the cheap one from Walmart.
Haven't been disappointed.
Iāve been using the COSORI Air Fryer for a while now, and itās been fantastic! It cooks food evenly and quickly, giving a nice crispy texture without needing much oil. The basket is spacious, perfect for making meals for multiple people, and itās super easy to clean. If youāre looking for a reliable, hassle-free air fryer, this one is a great choice!
Just so you know, cosori is a company. They make a bunch of air fryers. Like a whole bunch.
Iāll just chime in and tell you what features not to get
I love me some smart functions on a lot of things, an air fryer is not one of those things that I would bother paying extra for. All youāll get is a notification that your cook is done, and every air fryer that Iāve used so far has beeped loud enough I can hear it from another room away or set a timer on my phone.
Dual zones are great on paper, but the size of the zone matters, if the food you air fry is generally big (think a slice of pizza) youāll need to cut it to size of the zone. Plus itāll likely need a dedicated spot on your counter since itās twice as big and bulky to put away every time you use it.
French doors, glass doors or ātoaster oven and air fryer combosā these donāt air fry well at all and things donāt get crispy since most of the hot air is leaving the front of the chamber. Every air ātraditionalā basket style has made food come out way crispier and even than any of the toaster oven style ones
I can control the air fryer from my phone. Coming home, set my oven to preheat, its ready to go when I walk in the door. It has some features that are app only, so theres no way to get to them without the app. There recipes and they integrate with the oven to handle the cooking portion according to the recipes. It actually works really well.
Even without the app part of it, I wouldnt hesitate to get a Breville air fryer again.
Iāve never had an air fryer, and Iām looking to buy one. Ideally, I would want something inexpensive. There are two people in my household - what should I be looking for in terms of size and other features?
You should for sure go with a Cosori fryer. I've had mine for a few years and use it several times a week. We barely use the oven or microwave, and typically cook everything we can in it instead. Here's a good thread on Reddit mentioning it, but honestly I see it suggested by more than half the people on Reddit in these question threads.
The bottom line for you, though, is this. It cleans super easy. It cooks very well, and I'm definitely no good at cooking anything normally. My food always comes out great regardless.
yes! this is the one i got for $20 on marketplace and its great
Ninja AF101 Air Fryer. It has 1550 watts of power, a 4-quart capacity, touch buttons, and manual controls. Its temperature range is 105°F to 400°F and includes a dehydrate function, ideal for drying foods and low-temperature cooking. https://www.amazon.com/Ninja-AF101-Fryer-Black-gray/dp/B07FDJMC9Q
the dehydrate function is bollocks
Ninja 5.2L is genuinely one of the best purchases I've ever made. Is it expensive, yes! Do I use it everyday, YES!
I would definitely recommend getting one of the Cosori models. We have the larger one in my house, and my daughter has a smaller one that we got her for her place. Both have been working fantastically well with no issues. Beyond my own family's personal experiences, though, you see them mentioned constantly by Redditors (just 2 examples seen here and seen here). No offense intended, but I think that anyone mentioning one of the other brands honestly just hasn't tried a Cosori model just yet. They really are a step above the rest.
how long have you had them if you don't mind my asking?
Help...I canāt decide on which air fryer I want!
Iād be cooking for one person, but would be nice to make a few meals at once.
Already have an ancient plain old small toaster oven. Things donāt usually come out crispy, but I do everything in it instead of using my stove. Funny last night I made frozen nuggets and they came out perfect and crispy! I get too hot in the summers with no a/c so try to not use in summers.
I wanted to find an all-in-one oven style air fryers that could fit a chicken (likely would never make a whole chicken, but nice to know I can!), but Iāve read they donāt do as good of a job crisping food. Is this correct?
Read āsmall egg shaped air fryersā (1) do well crisping AND are (2) less loud and (3) doesnāt create too much heat in the room. Is this true?
Iāve read mixed reviews, but overall great for the egg shaped T-Fal Air Fryer 3.5L and T-Fal Air Fryer 4.2L. Iām allover the map and have considered oven styles of Black and Decker, Cuisine Art, InstantPot, and Ninja.
Any helpful information would be great!!!!
I found this review helpful when I was choosing. twosleevershow to chooseanairfryer
Iām very happy with the Ninja 4qt. It works well, is easy to clean, and is one of the few that uses ceramic for its nonstick coating so it should be durable.
Thanks!!!! How long have you had yours for? Wondering how long they generally last.
Itās been a year, and still seems brand new.
Just bought a pretty shweet 7 in 1 Cuisinart about a month ago on sale. Itās digital and has some pretty cool features like dual cookā¦ā¦and you can cook a whole chicken in it.
I have looked at the brand.
I just bought a Cuisinart TAO-60. It is the older model with the mechanical control knobs. I bought this one due to it being cheap on eBay as I too couldn't decide what I wanted or if I would even use it much. It has been phenomenal. I can't believe I didn't get one before.
For the past couple of weeks, almost every meal has been cooked in it, all to perfection. My only complaint about it like many others is that it cooks hotter than the dial says. It is like 40 degrees off at 400F.
I am cooking for two. I have roasted whole chicken, air-fried whole chicken, air-fried chicken cutlets, air-fried bacon, air-fried sweet potato fries, air-fried eggplant, roasted vegetables, baked cornbread, and scones. Every single thing we have cooked so far has come out perfect. I just drop the temp of a recipe 50F on the machine.
I read a lot of reviews that the basket fryers crisp better than toaster oven fryers, but I am so glad I bought the toaster oven type for its versatility. So far, everything I have wanted crisp has come out crisp to my satisfaction.
Thanks this is going to be tough for me! Like the variety of food youāve made so far!
A Cosori... it's awesome yo!
Which Cosori do you have?
Hey everyone! Iām super new to the world of air fryers and honestly feeling a bit overwhelmed. Iāve never owned one before, but I keep hearing how life-changing they areācrispy food without the guilt? Yes, please. My main question is: Whatās the best air fryer youād recommend for someone just starting out? Iām not a heavy-duty cook or anything, just looking for something reliable, easy to clean, and not too bulky since my kitchen space is, well... letās just say itās ācozy.ā Iām mainly planning to use it for things like fries, veggies, frozen snacks, maybe some chicken here and there.
While I was scouring the internet (which, by the way, is a jungle of mixed reviews), I stumbled across this post that actually looked pretty helpfulāit seems to list some of the top-rated and most popular air fryers in 2025. The info looked solid, but Iām more interested in real experiences from actual users before I commit to buying one. If any of you can drop your thoughts or even regrets, Iād seriously appreciate it. Hereās the link I found in case anyone else is curious too:

Thanks in advance for helping a confused newbie outāI trust community advice way more than generic Amazon reviews. Just wanna make sure I get something that doesnāt end up collecting dust on my counter.
After months of research, I decided to invest in the Dyson V15 Detect vacuum, and it exceeded my expectations. The laser dust detection technology revealed just how much hidden debris was on my hardwood floors, allowing me to clean more thoroughly. The lightweight design and intuitive features made transitioning between rooms effortless. While the price point was initially a hesitation, the performance and time saved have proven it a worthwhile investment.
After switching to the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, I noticed an immediate improvement in fuel efficiency and driving comfort. The smooth transition between electric and gas power made city commuting seamless, and the spacious interior easily accommodated my familyās needs. While I initially had concerns about long-term maintenance of hybrid systems, the strong warranty coverage and positive service experiences have given me peace of mind.
Using the Calm app for daily meditation has significantly improved my stress management and sleep quality. The structured programs, combined with soothing narration from renowned speakers, made it easy to develop a consistent mindfulness practice. Although I found the subscription cost slightly steep, the vast library of sessions and progressive results made it indispensable to my overall well-being.
Of course. Here's a professional and concise delivery of three unique personal experiences based on real user reviews and reports:
1.
After switching to the new CRM platform, I noticed a significant improvement in my team's workflow within the first month. The system's intuitive interface and customizable dashboard allowed us to track client interactions more efficiently, reducing response times by nearly 30%. Although initial setup required some technical assistance, the long-term gains in productivity and client satisfaction made the investment worthwhile.
2.
Purchasing the hybrid SUV was a game-changer for my daily commute. The vehicle offered a seamless transition between electric and gasoline modes, delivering impressive fuel efficiency without compromising performance. While I encountered minor issues with the infotainment system early on, the dealership's prompt service and software updates quickly resolved them, leaving me highly satisfied with my overall experience.
3.
Using the online learning platform to complete my certification proved to be a highly effective experience. The course materials were well-structured, and the interactive quizzes helped reinforce key concepts in a practical way. Although the occasional technical glitch disrupted a few sessions, the platformās responsive support team and flexible learning schedule enabled me to complete the program ahead of deadline and with a strong understanding of the subject matter.
Would you also like a few variations depending on industry or product type?
Absolutely, real user experiences can make a huge difference when you're trying to choose something as versatile (and hyped) as an air fryer. Here are three professional, concise accounts based on authentic user reviews and reports:
1. COSORI Pro II Air Fryer Oven Combo (5.8QT)
āAs someone new to air fryers, I chose the COSORI Pro II after reading countless reviewsāand Iāve been genuinely impressed. Itās user-friendly with presets that make cooking a breeze, and cleanup is quick thanks to the nonstick basket. What stood out most was how evenly it cooked frozen foods and how crispy the results were without a drop of oil. For someone with limited kitchen space, the design is surprisingly compact given its capacity.ā
2. Ninja AF101 Air Fryer (4QT)
āI purchased the Ninja AF101 as my first air fryer, and itās been an absolute game-changer for everyday meals. Itās not too bulky, preheats quickly, and the interface is simple enough for a beginner. I mostly use it for fries, wings, and reheating leftovers, all of which come out far better than in a microwave. I especially appreciate how easy it is to cleanāmost parts go right into the dishwasher.ā
3. Instant Vortex Plus 6-in-1 (6QT)
āThe Instant Vortex Plus struck a great balance between functionality and price. As someone not big on cooking, I was amazed at how quickly it turned out crispy Brussels sprouts and juicy chicken thighs. The clear display and built-in cooking programs made the learning curve minimal. The size is decent for a couple or small family, and while it's slightly larger than some compact models, the versatility more than makes up for it.ā
Let me know if you want a comparison chart or help picking based on your exact space and cooking habits!
Looking to upgrade an Air Fryer mines is getting old. My old air fryer is finally showing its age. Looking for recommendations on the best air fryers out there!
Some Brands that I have consider.
What are your favorite brands/models? What is your experience with it. Any Pros or Cons?
I'm interested in features like:
I came across an air fryer here, and Iām excited to try it out. It seems like a great addition to my kitchen appliances!vCheck this air fryer: https://www.reddit.com/r/newproducts/comments/1iw4ka5/this_is_the_best_air_fryer/
Iāve been using the Cosori Air Fryer for a few months now, and it has exceeded all my expectations! The sleek design and user-friendly interface make it a joy to use. With its 12 preset cooking functions, I can easily air fry, roast, bake, and reheat my favorite foods with just a few taps on the digital display.
The 5.8-quart capacity is perfect for my family, and the nonstick baskets make cleaning a breeze ā theyāre dishwasher safe!
The food comes out crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and I love how it uses less oil compared to traditional frying. Itās also energy-efficient and doesnāt take up too much counter space.
Overall, the Cosori Air Fryer is a fantastic addition to my kitchen. Highly recommended for anyone looking to make healthier meals without sacrificing flavor!
The Ninja Foodi DZ550 10-quart features a spacious cooking space and produces high-quality air fried food, meaning your food is largely browned and crispy and just a small amount under or overcooked. Like other Ninja dual-basket air fryers, when cooking with different settings in each basket, you can use the 'Smart Finish' setting so both sides are done at the same time. This deluxe model also includes a thermometer built-in that you can utilize to cook meat to a precise temperature with the air fryer.
https://www.reddit.com/r/VerifiedWiHookups/comments/1ix4dya/the_5_best_air_fryers_that_ever_exists/
Iād recommend an air fryer thatās not on the listāthe Ninja DZ071 Foodi 6-in-1. Its DualZone cooking allows you to cook two dishes at the same time, making it perfect for multitasking.
The Automod flags them as spam.
Honestly getting a new air fryer is kind of like leveling up in life- once you get a good one, you start wondering how you ever lived without it. Youāre on the right track with the brands you listed but choosing the best one really depends on what you prioritize. If even cooking is your main concern then Ninja and Breville are good because they have great airflow. But if you're cooking big meals then check out the Nutrichef Countertop- itās basically the SUV of air fryers with 18 quarts of space.
Now if youāre like me and hate scrubbing greasy pans, go for something with dishwasher safe parts like Cosori or Instant Pot. Also tip: models with stainless steel interiors hold up way better than non stick ones over time.
I actually stumbled across this post that goes full air fryer propaganda (in the best way possible). It breaks down different models, why air fryers are basically the best thing ever and even gives some underrated recommendations!
Ninja Foodi DualZone - the two-basket setup is a game-changer, cooks evenly, and just feels way more durable than the budget ones. If youāre on a tighter budget, the Cosori Pro II punches way above its price range and is super user-friendly. Both are great picks and wonāt crap out after a few months like the no-name brands
I have a Gourmia and a Gourmia. Excellent quality
Check this Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro, combines oven, air fryer & toaster. Precise Element IQ technology. It is solid stainless steel build, pricey but long-lasting
Panasonic Flashxpress
Check the Cosori Max XL 5.8āÆQT is a top-rated air fryer with a large basket, easy presets, and even cooking. It's reliable, quiet, and great for families.

Key Considerations for Choosing the Best Air Fryer:
Capacity: Consider the size based on your household. A 3-5 quart capacity is suitable for 1-2 people, while 5-7 quarts can accommodate larger families.
Cooking Functions: Look for models with multiple cooking functions (air fry, bake, roast, reheat) for versatility. Some air fryers also come with presets for specific foods.
Temperature Range: A wider temperature range (typically 180°F to 400°F) allows for more cooking options and better control over the cooking process.
Ease of Cleaning: Non-stick baskets and dishwasher-safe components make cleanup easier. Some models have removable parts that are easy to wash.
Power: Higher wattage (1500-1800 watts) generally means quicker cooking times and better performance.
Design and Footprint: Consider the size and design of the air fryer to ensure it fits your kitchen space and is easy to store.
Recommendations:
Philips Premium Airfryer XXL: Known for its large capacity (up to 3 pounds of food), it features a fat removal technology that separates and captures excess fat. Itās versatile and easy to clean.
Ninja Foodi 6-in-1: This model combines air frying with pressure cooking, making it incredibly versatile. It has a 5-quart capacity and offers multiple cooking functions.
Cosori Air Fryer: A budget-friendly option with a 5.8-quart capacity, it has 11 preset cooking functions and a user-friendly digital interface. It's well-reviewed for its performance and ease of use.
Choosing the right air fryer depends on your cooking needs and kitchen space, so consider what features are most important to you!
