TL;DR The Alfa Romeo Stelvio is widely regarded as the best SUV from Alfa Romeo, offering a blend of Italian style, performance, and luxury.
Alfa Romeo Stelvio Overview
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio stands out in the SUV market for its distinctive Italian design and sporty performance. It combines the elegance and flair typical of Alfa Romeo with the practicality of an SUV. The Stelvio offers a range of engines, including a high-performance Quadrifoglio variant that features a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, delivering exhilarating power and handling. This makes it a top choice for those looking for an SUV with a sporty edge.
Performance and Handling
One of the key highlights of the Stelvio is its driving dynamics. It is often praised for its sharp handling and responsive steering, which are not typically associated with SUVs. The Stelvio's chassis and suspension setup contribute to a driving experience that feels more like a sports car than a traditional SUV. This is particularly appealing to drivers who prioritize performance without sacrificing the utility of an SUV.
Interior and Features
Inside, the Stelvio offers a luxurious cabin with high-quality materials and advanced technology. The interior is designed with both driver and passenger comfort in mind, featuring supportive seats and intuitive controls. The infotainment system, while sometimes noted as being less advanced than competitors, provides essential connectivity and entertainment options. For those seeking a premium feel, higher trims offer additional luxury features and customization options.
Considerations for Tall Drivers
For taller drivers, the Stelvio provides ample headroom and legroom, making it a comfortable option for individuals over six feet tall. The seating position is adjustable, allowing for a personalized fit that enhances driving comfort on long journeys.
In summary, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio is a compelling choice for those seeking a stylish and performance-oriented SUV. Its combination of Italian design, dynamic driving characteristics, and luxurious interior make it a standout in its class.
Best Picture alone tells me they don’t have a great grasp of this stuff; no way Netflix gets four nominees, especially when two of those movies weren’t even that well received and the fourth (Train Dreams) might not even be a campaign priority for them
The novella for Train Dreams is great, the reviews at Sundance were great, and I assumed they were releasing it in November to have it compete for best picture. If anything, I thought that would be the most blatantly Oscar-y movie they have. I agree that I'm unsure if both Frankenstein and Jay Kelly will be nominated for BP though.
i think frankenstein has a much better shot at a bp nom than jay kelly, just based on vibes
I'm not saying they shouldn't or won't prioritize it tbc, there's just no indication that's the case currently. I don't really expect that to change when it was an acquisition and it has the least starpower behind it (meaning the relationships they value the least). Jay Kelly didn't go over super well but they're probably not ruling out Clooney or Sandler and the Baumbach/Gerwig relationship is super important to them.
I’m personally gonna give Frankenstein a fair shot but idk why anyone would think based on how it’s been received that it has any shot of a BP nom.
Reviews are good but admittedly not great, it got runner-up in Toronto, there's a ton of affection for GDT in the industry (see Shape of Water winning in an insanely stacked year, Pinocchio winning Animated, Nightmare Alley getting a BP nom), and it's going to get boosted by its strength in below the line categories. I don't think it's a super strong contender but won't be shocked if it squeezes into the 9th or 10th spot. Gold Derby's got it at 14th currently but that's behind three movies I think it's definitely stronger than (Jay Kelly, Springsteen, Rental Family).
To be fair, Nightmare Alley also got a tepid response, but managed to pull of a BP nom. Though that one benefitted from a well-timed endorsement by Martin Scorsese.
Best Animated Picture is probably going have Zootopia 2 instead of Elio. Also wondering if Ne Zha 2 has a chance. Winner will probably be KPop Demon Hunters. If I'm wrong I will kick my own ass.
Forgot that best casting is now a thing. Not a bad idea for a category, ngl.
I think Timothee is a safe bet for a nominee. The academy loves that twink.
I think springsteen is getting on there. They've been loving music biopics. doesn't matter how poorly they do critically. smashing machine seems like the rock is going for actor so I think that gets in as well. this has been a fun season so far though. last year was a mess with Emilia Perez, and then the backlash over Anora winning, and then all the mess around the brutalist and ai. This year so far seems like it's mostly good or great movies but theres still a lot of race left so who knows.
This is the availability bias at play, there are music biopics they don’t nominate every year and not every year has a music biopic in the lineup
I saw Train Dreams last week. It's a great movie, but I'd be shocked if it gets Oscar attention.
Disappointing to not see Delroy on the best supporting list for Sinners

That's it folks...thanks to everyone for participating. There were some unexpected and some very expected wins but it was so interesting looking through all the comments and finding out new comics and new fun facts about Batman's comic book history, some of the reasons i made this poll was to highlight some underrated comics, to see what the sub's overrall thoughts were about things like which Batman comic was Worst or Weirdest etc..., and to have some general answers to the questions that keep getting asked a lot on here especially by new comers. So i hope this was insightful to you guys as much as it was for me, and apologies for the previous crowded layout i tried better on this new one :)

Well it was fun guys, i'm gonna go play Lego Batman 3 now. See ya.
I’d argue that if you’re gonna stay in main continuity, then Batman Endgame is the best story to end at.
glad you changed the last category to "best ending". the "where it should've ended" story literally coming out before year one would've been a weird touch 😭
This was cool. Great idea. Gave me some new stuff to read.

Just had mine replaced on my 2017 this past month for this exact issue. Almost 3000$, is there any way to get a refund or even begin to go about that?

That’s super funny. I literally emailed NHTSA the other day directly about this and they told me it’s still under investigation. For like the past 2 years it’s been open… I’m glad that I could help lol
My favorite part is when they talked about a recall but didn't say what the issue was. Has to google the recall number
And I just had to pay to have mine replaced :(
Ah finally. Had my 2017 replaced under warranty thankfully.
this has been a common problem in these model years. took them long enough to issue the recall. hopefully those that had pay for repair can seek reimbursement.
Got my fuel pump replaced on my 2018 last month? Think I can get a refund on the service now that it’s a recall? 😅
Absolutely. Call the dealership and speak with a service manager.
About time this became a recall
