TL;DR
Popular Flight Search Engines
Several popular flight search engines are frequently recommended for booking cheap flights. Google Flights is often mentioned due to its user-friendly interface and comprehensive price comparison features [1]
[5:4]. Skyscanner is another favorite, praised for its ability to show a range of cities and dates, although users should compare prices with airlines directly for assurance
[5:1]. Kayak also appears as a reliable option for booking through third-party sellers or directly via airline websites
[5:2].
Hidden Gems and Lesser-Known Options
Travolic has been highlighted as a hidden gem, offering some of the cheapest prices available [2:1]. FlyingCarpet.travel is another site that offers great deals and easy booking
[4:1]. Mighty Travels can provide an overview of current cheap options, allowing users to book directly on airline websites or through platforms like Kayak
[5:2].
Tips for Finding Cheap Flights
When searching for cheap flights, flexibility in departure and arrival locations can lead to significant savings [2:3]
[2:5]. Booking in advance, avoiding weekends, and choosing late-night or early-morning flights can also help reduce costs
[3:2]. Additionally, checking smaller regional airports instead of major hubs might uncover cheaper last-minute options
[2:3].
Group Discounts and Special Deals
For those traveling in large groups, contacting airlines directly or authorized travel agents may yield group discounts [3:5]. Some airlines offer deals on extra luggage weight or other perks, which can be beneficial for budget travelers
[3:7]. Using credit cards that offer discounts or accumulate points can also provide additional savings over time
[3:4].
In conclusion, while Google Flights and Skyscanner are excellent starting points for finding cheap flights, exploring lesser-known sites like Travolic and FlyingCarpet.travel can sometimes yield better deals. Flexibility, planning ahead, and considering alternative airports are key strategies in securing affordable airfare.

thanks for this good information
Flights feel crazy expensive lately and I’m honestly lost on where you can buy cheap flights anymore. One day I see cheap airline tickets and the next day prices are more expensive. it makes no sense.
I know people say to check google flights but I’m wondering if there are better cheap flight websites people are actually using? Like what’s the best cheap flight site ?
And do you stick to one flight search engine or do you jump between them?
Basically trying to figure out the best way to find a cheap flight.. flights, apps, or random hacks. Any advice would help me and prob a ton of others too.
Most people don’t realize why cheap last minute flights are so rare. Airlines actually make way more money cranking up last-minute prices for business travelers or people rushing to family emergencies. Those groups will pay sky-high fares no matter what, so airlines have zero incentive to slash tickets to fill empty seats for budget travelers. That said, there are a few exceptions. Tourist-only destinations (think Canary Islands, Azores, smaller beach resorts) sometimes drop prices right before departure, especially in low season. Hardly anyone urgently “needs” to get to a beach, so if the plane isn’t full, tickets can get cheaper as the date approaches. You also see this on subsidized routes - like Spain ↔ Canary Islands or Portugal ↔ Azores. Since the government props those flights up, airlines can’t really gouge too hard without looking bad, so deals sometimes pop up. So yeah, scoring cheap airfare last-minute isn’t impossible, but it’s the exception, not the rule.
One thing people forget about last-minute flights in the US is using smaller regional airports. Sometimes the big hubs (JFK, LAX, ORD) are crazy expensive last second, but if you check surrounding airports you can stumble on way cheaper options. I’ve flown out of Providence instead of Boston and saved like $250 on a ticket. Same with Burbank vs. LAX.
If you ever need one hit me up
Work with a travel agency. Anyone who needs flight booking or tickets should text me. Lower than you think.
It’s not always convenient, but if you’re flexible on where you depart/land, you can find some surprisingly cheap airfare even close to the date.
I found a hidden gem and always recommend Travolic i have been using momondo and google flights but travolic has really the most cheapest prices
So the title . We are a large group planning to go to isb to khi for work thing and was wondering if there are apps or websites which gives a discounted deal on airline tickets if we book a month before or something Thanks
This 💯
I had to change my airblue ticket, super convenient from their website.
Those universal ticketing sites are only worth it for long haul flights, not domestic.
The difference is of only 1-2k its better to get from the airline website. My workplace books for us and alot of times due to timelines I have to adjust the flights and they do it literally without hassle.
Honestly, all of them are lame advices. For price, timings, everything, just run a search on sastaticket. There's rarely any difference in the prices on official sites versus saststicket.
OP, sometimes you get good deals if you pay via card, check which card is offering discount on Peekaboo app. And even if there are no discounts on card, still pay via card to accumulate points. These points can be encashed for actual money which isn't a lot, but it's still something. I have to travel frequently for my work and that's what I do, have managed to accumulate a decent amount of points, also got exempted from paying annual fees on credit card.
last time, air blue cancelled my flight 3 times.. on both ways lol
Try flyJinnah ? Mere sath tou luck hi rahi hai they have deals going on can bring extra luggage weight or something 😂
Better call the airline(s) helpline to find if they do group discounts. Some travel agents who are authorised by airlines also offer group discounts. Best to check.

is there any simple website out there to book flight tickets?
Oh the simple solution! Mighty Travels is handy to get an overview about what is cheap right now. Just punch in from/to (can be regions) and it comes up with a lot of recommendation. Book on airline website of via Kayak.
Google travel, Kayak, Travelusave, Skyscanner, Skiplagged.
I personally like google flights to look for prices and then book direct.
Good job
Skyscanner is the best! Great UI and you can see a variety of cities across multiple dates! It does recommend third-party sellers a lot, so be cautious and always compare the price with the airline directly for more assurances
Hey fellow frugalists! New to this subreddit and wanted to start traveling as a whole but want to stay on a healthy budget. Are there any good websites/apps you all recommend for finding cheap flights? I only bring a bookbag for a carryon and a small duffel bag with all my clothes if that matters.
Not sure if it’ll help with my question but currently looking to travel from Atlanta, GA to Philly!
All answers are appreciated!
Definitely Mighty Travels Premium. You can search all available routes from/ to anywhere continent an/or lei-flat equipment. It’s what I wish Google Flights would be
The best is probably Kiwi
Best cheap flights:Scott’s Cheap flights;Skyscanner;Kayak Good luck
You should try Southwest Airlines. Right now they’re running a summer sale. Two checked bags and a carry on are included with every flight all the time, not just during the sale. Great airline. Book online and you can change flight with no fee.
I love this one Here cause they have a lot of cheap flights I couldn't find on others.
seem like a spam account, wouldn't click the link
Any specific day for better rates ?
Skyscanner, Google Flights, and Hopper are top picks
Has anyone ever used one of those websites that advertises ridiculously cheap flights and travel deals like Scott’s cheap flights or other websites like that where they say they will teach you travel jacks and you can travel for almost no money? Do these sites actually help? Has anyone successfully used a site like this to save a bunch of money?
I think Skyscanner is always a good website to look at when trying to find a cheap flight as they show loads of options from different airlines and you can order them however you like whether that's the cheapest first or less stops etc.
I use this all the time. Only issue is that they don't support Southwest Airlines, which can often be the cheapest.
still a big fan of Kiwi.com
I am a subscriber to Going (used to be Scott’s Cheap Flights). I have scored $75 r/t fares to the USVI from an airport in my region and $350 r/t fares from my closest airport to Ireland. The subscription fee paid for itself a few times over.
Secret Flying is pretty good and free too
That's usually the one I check most too. Most of the time I don't need a flight there, but for the price I am almost tempted.
I did find a £25 return to Jordan (from Europe) flight, so instantly booked it after seeing that. Would be stupid not to for that, so just flew hand luggage 😝
I got UK to Bangkok for £340 with secret flying a couple months back, definitely recommend it
Which airline out of interest?
I have a Goings subscription and have used it a few times. Best deal was a flight from San Francisco to Rome under $360 RT. Not my home airport, but I made it work and saved a ton of money making it possible to actually make the trip feasible.
Going.com is only for the US btw :)
Hey fellow travelers,

Drop your successful (or unsuccessful!) sites in the hotels post as well as here. Let's make this community's collective knowledge work smarter, not harder.
Happy travels!
Destinaholidays.com was successful for me. Price match around $600 saved total on a $9k trip. Found this website from skyscanner
Wow. Added. Thanks
Flighthub worked for me 2 months ago
Added. Thanks
kissandfly.com failed
Added! Thanks
https://www.travelgo.com/ failed too. Forgot to mention
This should be added to the sidebar
Hopper.com is successful. Funny enough, that’s what powers the Capital One booking engine, yet I found a better price on it.
lol.. Added. Thanks!
Just looking to escape for a bit to any place decent but airline tickets are skyrocketing right now. I’ve heard there’s apps or websites where you can check for cheap flights to random places.
Mighty Travelz is great at finding deals to destinations I never had on my list.
use expedia, well known, well trusted, and full refunds

I know some pretty good sites and resources
From Australia, cheapflighthunter.com.au (like Scott's Cheap Flights/Going, but from OZ)
Best cheap flight ticket websites
Key Considerations for Finding Cheap Flight Tickets:
Comparison Tools: Use websites that aggregate flight prices from multiple airlines and travel agencies to find the best deals.
Flexible Dates: If possible, search for flights with flexible dates. Prices can vary significantly depending on the day of the week or time of year.
Set Price Alerts: Many websites allow you to set alerts for specific routes, notifying you when prices drop.
Incognito Mode: Search in incognito mode to avoid potential price increases based on your search history.
Budget Airlines: Consider using budget airlines, but be aware of additional fees for baggage and other services.
Recommended Websites:
Google Flights: Great for comparing prices and flexible date searches. It provides a user-friendly interface and powerful filtering options.
Skyscanner: Excellent for finding the cheapest flights across various airlines and travel agencies. It also offers a "whole month" search feature to find the best deals.
Kayak: A comprehensive travel search engine that compares prices from multiple sources and offers price alerts.
Momondo: Known for its user-friendly interface and ability to find hidden deals, including budget airlines.
Hopper: A mobile app that analyzes flight prices and predicts the best time to buy tickets.
Recommendation: Start with Google Flights for initial comparisons, then check Skyscanner or Momondo for potentially lower prices. Setting price alerts on these platforms can help you snag the best deal when prices drop.
