Popular Choices
When it comes to choosing a cologne or perfume, several brands and scents are often recommended due to their popularity and versatility. Some of the most popular choices include Chanel No. 5, known for its classic and timeless scent, and Dior's J'adore, which is praised for its floral and sophisticated aroma. These fragrances have stood the test of time and are favored by many women for both everyday wear and special occasions.
Seasonal Scents
The choice of cologne can also depend on the season. Lighter, fresher scents such as citrus or floral notes are typically preferred in the spring and summer months. For example, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue is a popular choice during warmer weather due to its refreshing and airy fragrance. In contrast, richer and warmer scents like vanilla or amber are often chosen for fall and winter. Tom Ford's Black Orchid is an example of a deeper, more luxurious scent suitable for cooler months.
Personal Preferences and Occasions
Ultimately, the best cologne for a woman depends on her personal preferences and the occasion. Some may prefer a subtle scent that doesn't overpower, while others might opt for something bold and distinctive. It's important to consider what makes you feel confident and comfortable. For formal events or evening outings, a more intense fragrance like Yves Saint Laurent's Opium might be appropriate, whereas a lighter scent could be better suited for daily wear.
Unique and Niche Fragrances
For those looking to stand out with a unique scent, niche fragrances can offer something different from mainstream options. Brands like Jo Malone and Le Labo provide bespoke and customizable perfumes that allow for a personalized touch. These fragrances often combine unexpected notes and can cater to individual tastes, providing a signature scent that is distinctively yours.
Recommendations Beyond the Discussions
While the discussions didn't directly address women's colognes, considering factors such as scent profile, longevity, and personal preference can guide you in selecting the perfect fragrance. Visiting a store to sample different scents and see how they interact with your skin can also be beneficial. Remember, the best cologne is one that resonates with your personality and enhances your presence.

That's it folks...thanks to everyone for participating. There were some unexpected and some very expected wins but it was so interesting looking through all the comments and finding out new comics and new fun facts about Batman's comic book history, some of the reasons i made this poll was to highlight some underrated comics, to see what the sub's overrall thoughts were about things like which Batman comic was Worst or Weirdest etc..., and to have some general answers to the questions that keep getting asked a lot on here especially by new comers. So i hope this was insightful to you guys as much as it was for me, and apologies for the previous crowded layout i tried better on this new one :)

Well it was fun guys, i'm gonna go play Lego Batman 3 now. See ya.
glad you changed the last category to "best ending". the "where it should've ended" story literally coming out before year one would've been a weird touch 😭
I’d argue that if you’re gonna stay in main continuity, then Batman Endgame is the best story to end at.
This was cool. Great idea. Gave me some new stuff to read.

I just finished Andor and I absolutely loved it, every minute of it.
Me too! Just finished it last night.
She was absolutely amazing in both seasons...shame that she didn't get recognized :(
I can’t swim…
That's a pretty significant flaw in your plan.
I like to picture that he found a way out.
Climb
Maybe a hot take, but I don't really like live-action Ahsoka. I feel like she gets duller as a character the more we get from her in the live action.
I honestly think she peaked in The Clone Wars Mandalore Arc and Tales of the Jedi and it's been downhill ever since.
The show was fantastic. It was so much better than it had any right to be.
And y’know, mon mothma, which was just an absolute gorgeous piece of casting
The Pitt was crushing it last night, but it's a show I had zero interest in because hospital/first responder shows have been done to death. Is it really that good?
Curious how’d you find your way into this thread as a non SW fan?
This is like an ongoing thing where Indian Women talk shit about Indian Men who are married to White women or foreign women.
IDK why do they have such hatred for them anyways? Is it because Indian Men are doing better by marrying foreign women are not hypocrites and are actually better people than them?
Or is it because they couldn't find a White Man or their Foreign Husband? Lol, I genuinely believe those women need some therapy TBH.
Indian women talk shit about every man, whether it be someone who is married to a farang or someone unmarried. And these are the same girls jinko zindagi me kabhi kaudi ka bhi attention ni Mila hota.. and reels dekh dekh k inhone Indian men k bare me perception bnaya hua.. ye bhul jati hain ki jin 'daddy's lil girl' ka tattoo inhone banwaya wo daddy b ek admi he hai !
That lady roasted the heck out of that Indian woman on that reel
Truly deserving!
My favourite genre of comedy is inc€l Indian women crying that Indian men won't choose them.
there is no femcel, but Chad widows
Femcel*
I really don’t get how Indian women get triggered the moment they hear about Indian men marrying foreign women, especially white women. My own eldest cousin married a French-origin white woman in the US back in the 90s, and they lived the kind of life anyone here would dream of. Irony is, she has carried herself with more “Indian” values, warmth, and family bonding than half of today’s Instagram generation flaunting hashtags about culture.
They are jealous because these Indian XX aren't getting their dream guy .
😂
i don’t want to just walk around smelling like a man. men can smell great but i’d like something that’s still a touch feminine! i really dislike vanilla it makes my throat itch unfortunately. i’d love something that’s kinda punk and spicy, like someone you smell at a rock concert and never see again (dramatic ik but hear me out) i really like clean fruity smells, not like the plastic powdery ones, and then of course musk that’s refreshing and not overwhelmingly fake and manly. anyway i’d appreciate any and all help my loves!! have a beautiful day!
Just a heads up, this is NOT a safe blind buy. Don't get me wrong, Hermann is in my top 10 but it's not 'perfumey', make sure to sample it first
État Libre d'Orange - Hermann à mes côtés me paraissait une ombre
Opens with blackcurrant and pepper, drying down to incense and patchouli.
maybe you’d like Cherry Punk by Room 1015? it’s main notes are cherry, leather, saffron, and sichuan peppercorns. it’s one of my ultimate favorites and I’m actually planning on wearing it to a rock concert tonight lol
This is my concert fragrance too!
ayyy! I love having a scent specific for concerts and it helps me think of the memories :) if you like vanilla, it also pairs really well with Heretic Parfum Couer Noir but that perfume is unfortunately limited edition :(
Gris Charnel by BDK is my favorite thing to smell on a man but I’d also wear it.
Based on what you’re looking for you may also enjoy some of The Harmonists line, like Hypnotizing Fire, Velvet Fire, or Royal Earth.
Was my signature scent many years ago!
I’m a woman whose fragrance goal is to smell like a freshly cut lemon and my current favourite frag is Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche. It’s definitely not feminine but it’s not hyper masculine either, and it smells delightfully lemony for a surprisingly long time.
Me too. Or my version of it. I have several and just bought 5ml of Acqua Viva and Tonic Verte. Also I have full bottles of Cap Neroli, Neroli Oranger and Bergamote 22. Also several sweeter lemons and lemon crossovers such as Dear Polly and Anamcara. I’m most hopeful about Acqua Viva which is supposed to be extremely fresh and realistic. What are your favorites?
I don't know if this fits but you should smell Tocca Lucia.
I am actually wearing it today, reminds me of cold weather, beautifully complex one.
lattafa makes a dupe for this called liam and it’s amazing
Hey so I recently bought my first cologne as an 18 year old guy. And want to give my advice for anyone in my boat
When I started I did what anyone would do and started watching videos like “best men’s colognes” and “top men’s fragrances women love” etc etc
Don’t do that. The reason I did that was cause I’m a guitar player, and if I’m looking at guitar pedals I can usually just google videos doing sound demos and stuff
Well you can’t do that with cologne, we haven’t invented smellovision yet so all these videos are worthless.
You’ll get a bunch of conflicting opinions and you can’t actually compare them
You’ll create a list of all these ones to try out and look for, but it’ll just be tiring cause no store will have all of them
What I ended up doing was going to Myer, asking getting as many free samples to take home as I could (5) and just try them all out and pick the one that stuck out to me
Of the ones I got, I picked wanted by night, it smelled really unique like mandarins (says that on the label too lol) and I just bought that
I did of course Google it before buying to see general consensus, and a lot of people say it’s a really nice unique and underrated one
I just wanted to share because there’s probably tons of people here looking for what to buy, and just want to give my advice that your best shot is to go to the store and get some samples to take home
If none of the ones you get really stand out to you, either see if they have any more samples, or go to another store
There is no substitute for wear testing. It can be intimidating to try things in stores, but (1) it won’t hurt you I promise and (2) you don’t have to if you really don’t want to, you can order samples online!
Yeah I prefer at home cause spending time with it. Don’t like trying stuff around people, also sometimes those stores have a smell in the room and it just makes it a little more difficult
Also with the one I chose, wanted by night, I noticed that initially when you spray it, it smells very different on skin than on paper, and it takes about 20 minutes for it to smell the way it should. It smells really potent and metallic-y (? Can’t really describe it) so I think it’s better at home cause you can wait a bit to see how it smells
Excellent advice.
A sample set is a great gift for a young person, too.
Myer gave you free samples just for asking.... I'm flat out getting them to serve me when I'm there.....
Preach, son.
This is the way. Also, Scentsplit, Luckyscent, Fumerie and other places sell samples.
I’ve noticed the same perfume smells different on different women. I know that’s not an answer to your question, but I’ve tried to pin down perfumes I like but it never smells the same as it did on the person who I asked what they’re wearing lol.
There's a younger woman where I work who always smells great and uses different scents a lot. One day she smelled like I just walked into a Kohls store. Not sure how she did that.
That actually has to do with a person’s natural body oils mixing with the oils in the perfume or has to do with layering scents (lotion that smells one way+perfume on top of that+maybe an additional perfume)
That's why magazines have sample fragrances in their advertisements so that you can smell it on its own then rub it on your skin to see how you mix with it.
Those warm sugar / vanilla kinda smells.
Cigarettes and whiskey if you look at my dating history🤔
Whatever my girlfriend is wearing
Agreed, especially when she's wearing that one that I got her.
I thought I got her that?
Commonscents
Lmao i will be saving this for later. Thank you sir.
Amen brother. 👍
I keep seeing the same names pop up whenever people talk about “the best fragrance to attract women”—stuff like Dior Sauvage, Bleu de Chanel, Creed Aventus, La Nuit de L’Homme, Armani Code, and Versace Eros.
But I’m curious about real experiences:
Women, which scents on a guy have actually made you stop and think “damn, he smells good”?
Men, which colognes have gotten you the most compliments or attention?
Do you prefer something fresh and clean (citrus, aquatic) or more warm and spicy (amber, leather, oud)?
Bonus: Does too much cologne kill the vibe even if it smells great?
I want to know if the hype fragrances really live up to it, or if women actually like something more unique and low-key.
Thanks in advance—your answers might save a lot of us from blind-buying the wrong bottle 😅
These are oldies, but my all time faves are Issey Miyake (L’eau de Issey) and Fahrenheit by Dior
LOVE farenheit.. i see so many gen x women here.. Drakkar Farenheit so good.. i also love Aqua Di Gio
L'eau D'issey is absolutely fantastic (male perspective)
Give me a sec, I'll connect to the woman-hivemind.
But seriously, absolutely not Dior Sauvage. Generic as hell
Smells like my mouth is being washed out with soap and water. Hope never to smell it on a guy I am attracted to!
1000% agree. Smells like generic men’s deodorant
Was gonna say. The only constant with attraction is that you have to smell clean underneath the cologne smell. You can only achieve this the boring way, by showering daily, brushing and flossing on schedule, using deodorant/antiperspirant (unscented if wearing cologne), and wearing clean clothes.
It goes a long way if we know we can rely on you to be clean. This is fundamental to attraction.
After that, you should choose your own favourite cologne, make sure it smells good on you and not just in the bottle. Then the scent will be attractive to women who share your taste.
> Does too much cologne kill the vibe even if it smells great?
I love sitting around a campfire. I love that smell. I love the smell of a roaring fireplace. If you set my house on fire I would die of smoke inhalation.
If boy math is “one spray will attract one woman so ten should get me a harem”, you have failed math class.
Now realizing the reason I might dislike men’s cologne is bc of rampant overspray.
Lol this smells great but it's also what my dad wears
Honestly, plain soap smell on a guy is pretty awesome. It's a great starting point!
I didn't say it smelled bad. Just that it's, in my opinion, generic as hell, so when I smell someone smelling like Dior Sauvage, I'll (on a subconscious level) probably assume they're generic. Which doesn't matter in the slightest with strangers, but I would be actively turned off on let's say a date, and every woman I've talked to about this felt the same way. Or maybe I'm just overthinking it and just dislike it because I've smelled it so much. Of course, there's selectionbias bc every woman who even knows what Dior Sauvage is probably is into fragrances, while most people just think "this person smells nice" lol
I need help finding a feminine smelling cologne because I’m going cologne shopping with my mom soon but I don’t want to get a perfume or a masculine cologne… what could I play off?
Anything light, vanilla, sea scented, especially fruity will give off a feme scent, also flowery. I don't know any specific perfumes but good luck...in trade may I ask for some masc colognes?
Ooo my favorite cologne from when I was more masc was azarro most wanted
I like "My Way" and "Light Blue" both are orange related and I love citrus. 😋 My way is more orange blossoms, light blue is more fruity. So they play well together. Remember you can be a scent connoisseur, missing scents from all around the shop can make you be unique. ☺️ So mixing "masculine" and "feminine" scents if you're looking for a bit of mystery or androgyny.
I can give you a list of feminine fragrances I like, recommend sampling them before purchasing :3
Carolina Herrera - Good Girl
Yves Saint Laurent - Libre
Lancôme - La Vie Est Belle
Dolce & Gabbana - Light Blue
Versace - Crystal Noir
Dior - Poison Girl
Ask for that sample bottle
I think anything vanilla forward is your best bet, I'm a fan of the Emporio Armani Stronger With You line for a cologne that isn't too masc.
Vanilla and lavender is pretty unisex so you can try spraying it without showing your mom and if she doesn't initially think its too fem that could convince her. Try Burberry Goddess for that, my favourite for sure! <3
best cologne for women
Key Considerations for Choosing a Women's Cologne:
Fragrance Notes: Understand the different fragrance families:
Occasion: Consider when and where you'll wear the cologne:
Longevity and Sillage: Look for colognes that last longer and have a good sillage (the trail of scent left behind). Eau de parfum typically lasts longer than eau de toilette.
Personal Preference: Ultimately, choose a scent that resonates with you and reflects your personality.
Top Recommendations:
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre: A fresh, fruity-floral fragrance with notes of grapefruit, quince, and jasmine. It's light and perfect for everyday wear.
Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium: A warm, sweet scent featuring coffee, vanilla, and white flowers. Great for evening wear or special occasions.
Marc Jacobs Daisy: A youthful and vibrant fragrance with notes of wild strawberry, violet leaves, and jasmine. Ideal for casual outings.
Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede: A sophisticated floral scent with peony, red apple, and suede notes. Versatile for both day and night.
Recommendation: When choosing a cologne, it's best to test it on your skin, as fragrances can smell different based on body chemistry. Visit a store to sample a few options before making a decision.
