TL;DR: Players are experimenting with various builds in Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty expansion, focusing on styles like stealth netrunning, melee combat with katanas, and hybrid approaches. Key attributes to consider include Body, Reflexes, Tech, and Cool, with many players recommending a mix that maximizes survivability and damage output.
Many players are opting for a stealthy approach, combining netrunning with pistols or throwing knives. This build focuses on high Intelligence for quickhacks and stealth perks, allowing players to disable enemies without direct confrontation. A common setup includes:
The katana build is popular for its fast-paced, aggressive gameplay. Players recommend maxing out Reflexes and Body to enhance melee damage and survivability. Key features include:
This build combines tech abilities with melee combat, allowing for a versatile playstyle. Players can utilize both blunt weapons and katanas effectively. Recommended setup:
For those who prefer a more straightforward combat approach, a Body/Tech build allows for heavy weapon usage while maximizing armor and health. This build is effective on higher difficulties:
A build centered around quickhacks and smart weapons offers a unique tactical advantage. Players can disable enemies from afar while remaining mobile:
Regardless of the chosen build, certain cyberware options are universally beneficial:
Phantom Liberty opens up exciting possibilities for character builds in Cyberpunk 2077. Whether you prefer stealthy netrunning, aggressive melee combat, or a balanced approach, there are plenty of options to explore. Experimenting with different combinations of attributes, perks, and cyberware will allow players to tailor their experience to their preferred playstyle.
Haven’t downloaded the expansion yet but planning to do so in the near future, I think this will be my 6th playthrough since release. Here’s what I’ve played as so far:
1st- Fem V street kid using primarily pistols and netrunning (Rogue was her childhood hero). Did the Rogue ending with V becoming an Afterlife legend
2nd- Masc V Corpo killing machine, Jack of all trades with heavy guns and mantis blades. Opted for Nomad ending with Panam
3rd- Fem V techie Nomad, Apache helicopter using hover cyberware, smart/tech weapons and ultimate quickhacks. Temperance ending after storming Saka tower solo
4th- Fem V corpo, assassin with Sandy relying on cool and silenced pistols+headshots. Devil Ending :(
5th- Fem V Streetkid, a non-lethal Batman/Catwoman hybrid using netrunning and a monowire. Stormed Saka Tower solo, V stayed in her body and became an NC legend
I have a really cool looking male V that I’m going to use as a streetkid, but I’m not really sure what playstyle to roll with, especially with all the perk trees being redone as part of 2.0. I like being stealthy and using quickhacks, but think I’d like to rely on support/crowd control quickhacks rather than damage dealers. I’ve also noticed that full auto weapons are kinda underwhelming in my experience, so maybe go more into blades/melee? Clearing out a place poppin shots with pistols is super satisfying though.
I’d appreciate any suggestions. Also I’m going for the challenge of playing on max difficulty. Thanks in advance, chooms!
You need to do a Body-focused run and try out the new blunt weapons tree. Makes sense as a streetkid as well starting out beating people with a baseball bat, getting gorilla arms later, and turning into the hulk later on.
Sounds fun, never played a style like that
So probably invest 3 in body, then the rest of the initial attribute points into cool and reflexes I imagine? Or maybe one into tech? Just give me a guideline there and I’ll be able to decide on the perks for myself.
You'll always want to get Tech to 20 because of the perk that lets you install more cyberware. I personally would say your final leveling should be 20 Body/Reflex/Tech, everything else into Cool.
I would say if you want to stay true to Streetkid then I guess a Body/Cool/Reflexes build makes the most sense, though I have struggled with Melee weapons and Body add ons like Mantis/Wire etc. I realised late I undervalued Cool and Reflexes having focusses on Int/Tech/Bod so now trying to spend my final 15 or so points getting above 9 on those!
Difficulty setting was interesting for me, I started on Normal (I'm a bit of a newb, played through once, then got 20 hrs in before starting a new on 2.0) but I have found I have had to increase to Hard and now Very Hard else it was just too easy.
I tend to go nuts on side gigs so end up having high attributes/lvl/SC quite early compared to the story line, I read that the NPC difficulty is supposed to scale with the player but I found it just got too easy. Sorry for going a bit off your topc here I just wandered if you find the same!
Assuming starting from scratch, what build / general playstyle is everyone gonna try out?
I've done:
Unmodded Corpo Male Handguns & Cold Blood complete,
Modded < ;) > Fem Streetkid Quickhacks & Breach 2/3 done,
and intend to maybe do nomad blades fem v for PL. ~ but still not sure 😅
Female netrunning/pistol/stealth corpo. Im thinking it's a spy thriller, so this build fits.
I made a build that but I also put some points into blades because I am shit at stealth but I still wanted something ninja-like
oh yeah choom you know the way
Stealth Assassin (silenced pistol/ trowing knife →Corpo
Assault Focussed→ Streetkid
For Nomad I don't know yet
Tech Snipe
It’s somewhat pointless to ask this before we know what the overhauls of patch 1.7 exactly bring.
In terms of character, I’m gonna be a Fem V nomad for the first time with a hero complex. She’s gonna be the dark avenger of Night City whose heart breaks because she can’t save everyone; the hero Night City needs but doesn’t deserve.
Good ol’ fashioned Sandy with handguns route.
Fishmonger with double specialisation in underwater welding
I finally got my hands on PL and completed the prologue, but realized that my "Crank Sandevistan and slice everyone" build isn't that fun to play, actually is kinda boring. Due to the spy theme of the missions, I would love to respec into a build that leads to a more tactical gameplay with a bit of stealth and a slower paced gunfight.
Tell me your favorite builds of this theme!
Thread 542 with the same title.
I'm so sorry, I barely enter this sub
Stealth netrunner with pistol/throwing knives build. You even get snipers in this if you want.
Reflex for dashing, tech for cyberware, then maybe projectile launcher for moments you need it since you can use relic points to upgrade it in PL.
I was playing around with the character planner for the time I'd play for the second time. With Phantom Liberty and 60 levels worth of attribute points, one can make a character that has 20 in three stats, 18 in 4th and 3 in 5th.
I am pretty much set on Body and Intelligence being at 20 and Reflex staying at 3 (not a fan of spray and pray guns and katanas), but cannot decide on the rest. Cool is good because I like handguns, but Tech is good for Armor and cyberware perks.
Which one do you think is better to prioritize?
Tech because the tech checks in-game are far more frequent than the cool checks.
Cool doesn't need to be maxed out to be super stealthy, but tech does simply because it gives you access to doors that allow you to be stealthy more effectively.
If you prefer stealth then cool, if you prefer to go guns in then tech.
Staying at 3 of reflex is deciding to be crippled, I can't imagine not being able to dash in this game
Body, tech, reflex all the way
Most (or maybe all) of the best builds have Technical Capacity at 20 for the 50 points of max cybercapacity given by the Edgerunner advantage
I used to run a Crit Revolver build on very hard, being able to pop heads all over the place and even put alot of hurt on strong enemies on very hard while also being able to take a hit or two if needed without dropping dead instantly.
"Unfortunate" i havent even finished the game yet, im close to the last mission but with the new patch 2.0 my build got kinda busted, no more popping heads, no more tank & spank.
So it got me wondering what ya all are going to run, maybe i can snack a idea since i probably start over .. and im no sneaky hacking person, im more like the in your face kinda guy xD
Would be nice to get some ideas :)

I went with a classic Netrunner build. High intelligence with some bitchin tech. I ain't got time for that stealthy bullshit, so I am getting my reflex up to 9 and getting some sweet rifle and blade skills.
Reboot Optics gives you a higher head shot damage, and cripple movement increases melee damage. So even though Netrunning is my bread and butter it is not the way that I flatline chooms. I am just rounding out to level 20 so I am starting to get some cool cyberware to maximize my 15 tech ability. I plan on using tech to fill in the gaps of the build like increasing my melee damage or gun perks.
If a Netrunner is a wizard build, I am building a War Wizard.
I changed my original character into net gunner since they got the synergy with smart weapons built in. PLUS, I the launcher is viable now so when things get dicy, just blow 'em up! Putting some points into reflex though because I still want to leap off a bike, launch a blast, then hack whoever's left...😂
Going for a Body/Tech build. Big gun and explosions. Gonna try Very Hard.
Yea I was thinking about this also seems fun!!
Sandy + optical camo slicing everything with a katana. I play aggressive stealth.
Aggressive stealth is the best stealth. No survivors.
Full Body and Tech. Beefy enough to survive very hard especially swapping between blunt and an LMG
thats sounds interessting,
I'm gonna be replaying cyberpunk once Phantom Liberty drops, and I'm looking for build suggestions.
Previously I did a sandy katana build and had a lot of fun with it, and it looks like they've changed a lot of the mechanics around melee combat and the sandevistans, but I'm also interested in netrunning as I've heard good things from it.
What are y'alls favorite builds and gimme a sales pitch on why I should try em out : )
Fairly early on in the game (got other stuff taking my time), but I'm loving... let's call the build "Surprise Borg Pyromaniac."
Max tech with a bit in body and cool. Get tech as high as reasonably possible as early as possible. You really want as much armor as you can get and several skeleton pieces give extra armor from high Tech (mine was over 500 before i got Johnny's Chip). Put points in cool and body depending on weapon focus, although you probably want some of both.
Combat loop goes as follows: the ganggoons are walking along, patrolling the area, and they come across a body. Gasp! There must be a ninja around! They start searching and what do they find? A borged out solo with more armor then god, wielding a shotgun/pistol, while hearing the tink of a grenade at their feet. After that, things start to get messy.
This build allows the sneaky that people love from stealth builds, along with the action of high explosives going on every few second. If you get cool high enough to make pistols good, use Comrades Hammer and blow stuff up while you wait for grenades to come off cooldown. If you prefer focusing on body, grab a tech shotgun, max your health and Regen, and laugh maniacally while standing in a hail of bullets while you throw explosives with abandon. The Pyromaniac perk seems BUILT for this play style, where you blow up everyone, including yourself, while being too heavily armored to CARE.
Blunt/gorilla arms is dope now. Basically its 20 Body, 20 Tech Ability, 9 Reflex (for Dash) If youre playing on console and can only respec once, make sure to save reflex/dash for last, i respeced cause i wasnt using it, but i can see it being useful at later levels. Prioritize getting body to 20 then boosting medkits with the left tree of the tech ability stat second. Protip: the character creation screen doesnt let you make a stat more than 6, but you can just make body 6 at character creation, leave the rest unspent, then immediately put them into body when the game starts. They dont make this clear, but you have to get the blood pump cyberware that gives you a special type of medkit, the entire middle tree of Body is kinda based around it. The game is very generous with money now so right after the end of act 1 I just did a couple NCPD blue blips and had enough to immediately get gorilla arms, double jump legs, blood pump, beserk instead of quickhacking, and some armor.
Beserk makes you invincible, then when thats over, normal mode fught until you need to heal, then when you heal with your blood pump you go into adrenaline mode, with 100% mitigation and higher crits, and the guys you kill during this mode make your blood pump recharge faster. During this youre crashing into people, jumping on the ground making shockwaves, and throwing bodies to kill them as well as the people youre throwing them at. Im only like level 13 and I already have all this ability. Its a lot of fun.
You don't need to get the blood pump cyberware. It's an option, but the Max doc is a stronger one time heal. All of the healing item related skills also apply to the normal healing items, and the Bio monitor makes them apply automatically, essentially turning them into a heath bar extension.
Im using the katana and sandy build, but you can add some more flavor to it now.
My build lets me use the kereznikov when jumping from my motorcycle, I can deflect bullets, dash and air dash, the finishing moves restore health... Had some points left to invest in the Dead Eye skill (best one for silenced pistols), and the Body skill tree, giving me the ability to grab someone and throw them across the room.
Lastly, added the projectile launcher for crowd control.
For me, it's what makes practical sense in-universe.
I'm V, a merc by profession who does odd jobs here and there to make money but still has to get around town. Sure in-game mechanically I have Hammerspace and can carry a melee weapon, an assault rifle, shotgun, a sidearm, infinite ammo, throwing knives and grenades. But what would make sense in the real world for the variety of scenarios I could run into and find myself in?
Needing to be inconspicuous as I walk into areas to take out a target, have meetings with people, ride around on my sweet Akira motorcycle, walk around Night City, and just shoot the shit with my choom Jackie at the bar. I need to be reasonably armed in the dangerous Night City but not draw attention to myself by open-carrying any longarms. So a pistol/revolver it is. Better to be armed even if I'm disarmed so some sort of cyberware weapon. What has utility to me outside being a weapon though? Gorilla arms. I can open doors, carry more, etc. and my unarmed brawling is still lethal if I find myself in a pinch or having to give up my pistol to meet with a fixer or contact.
Basically, the David Martinez/Spike Spiegel build. Gorilla arms & pistols all day. If I know I'm walking into a situation needing serious heat, I'll take my car and bring along a primary firearm or melee weapon stashed in the trunk or back seat depending on the situation. But for my day-to-day it's what I can practically carry and conceal on my person.
K this is how you rpg an rpg
I like to go into a gig or side job carrying just my Unity & Gorilla Arms and as I clear out the enemies start using whatever guns they drop if need be!
Do you have your build posted somewhere? This sounds like so much fun
Body to 20, taking the middle tree all the way up and at least the bottom of the right tree, Technical Ability the same for the Edgerunner and cyberware perks, Cool to 15 or 20 (left tree for pistols). After that it's up to you! Reflexes for Dashing shenanigans, left tree of Tech for grenade spam, shotgun tree in body for big fights, etc.
Pop some shots with the pistol and rush to punch them in the face! It's a blast. Sandevistan all day.
So need some build recommendation to many on youtube and the internet as a whole.
Wanted it narrowed down so im asking seeing what specific other players enjoy and going from there so hit me with your favorite builds be it video or your own if you can give a build planner for it and gear breakdown would help.
Knife throwing with katana for backup, combined with all the mobility / stealth perks available. Makes fights frantic and fun - and sometimes quite hard even at higher levels (looking at you, Ribakov ;).
All of them, honestly! Right now I'm running a throwable blade aggressive stealth build. Once you get the movement down everything works like a dream.
an overclock/smart weapon build with synapse burnout as your main weapon and yinglong to speed up the upload time with the Militech Paraline is super fun
the 100% quickhack crit chance cyberware from phantom liberty makes it so even one synapse burnout can kill an armoured minotaur solider in one shot
another build i loved was with the chainsword xmod 2 and the chimera core melee weapon mod (both phantom liberty) with the apogee sandevistan, that obliterates Maxtac
I really want to replay the game and explore more, I bought phantom liberty but haven't played it yet.
My past playthroughs were sword+pistol, and maxxing into annihilation lmg+shotguns. This was before the big perk system rework I haven't played in a long time.
I plan on playing on the hardest difficulty but I don't want to fall back into my old run and gun playstyles. Should I go stealth, netrunner, sniper, what's something fun to try for a long time?
Netrunner and smart weapons, especially smart smg’s
Shadowrunner with Arasaka cyberdeck + with smart weapons for when shit hits the fan. Or semi stealthy throwing knives with cyberdeck.
I'm curious what kind of builds are everyone gonna do once phantom liberty drops cause the build I wanna do is the wesley snipes blade build a katana and two pistols
Quick hacks, and Blades with a preference to Throwing Knives with Monowire implant. Ninjitsu for staying out of sight.
i’m just gonna keep using the malorian idk what my build is lol i just picked up whatever looks the most badass
Motoko Kusanagi build: quickhack based (focused on blinding, deafening and paralizing quickhacks), optical camo, smart submachinegun .... and katana for flair. Katana is actually not a Kusanagi thing, I just simply like using it for finishing off enemies after paralizing them.
So back before being updated I'd usually do on of two sort of builds, Shotguns and Sandevistan or net running and pistols. So far I've been doing a fusion of that in 2.0 and phantom liberty by using a sandy and pistols specing in reflexes and cool. Using focus/deadeye sandy and kerenzikov to have a lot of time slowing effects at once.
But I since I'm still not entirely familiar with 2.0 I'd rather get some help from the community to get good idea of what to do.
How would you make a tanky Sandevistan and shotguns build, (got the idea from a Maine from edgerunners build on youtube)
And a net runner with pistols and mantis blades? (Don't care for monowires despite the synergy with quickhacks.)
Finally how would you make the ultimate time lord? What're all the perks that help with being faster than everyone else and having everything nice and slow for you.
Putting points into Body will help with both of those builds. All the shotgun perks are in there for the sandy build and since they added overclock, extra health from the level 15 Body perks will give you more ram for the netrunner build
Ah didn't realize that. Don't netrunners also want to use smart weapons too?
Yeah all the smart weapon perks are in the Intelligence section so theyre easy to get if youre netrunning and some of them synergize with overclock
So I just got back into cyberpunk after it's 2.0 update and a lot has changed. I decided to do a different playstyle for my run with my starting attributes being 5 reflex, 6 tech, 5 cool, 3 intelligence (int) and 3 body
I'm trying to be sneaky without net running as my first run was and my second was brute force (pre 2.0)
I'm looking for help on how to maximize my use for stealth, mobility, handguns, and snipers. I'm not using smart weapons but tech and power weapons are on the table still.
P.S. Any feedback is welcome and thank you for the time anyone takes to help me out.
About to do the same what build did you go for? Struggling to find one I can make without being level 60.
Sorry for the late response, I hope your run is going well or went well.
What I ended up doing was focusing tech for stealth based cyberware and cool to utilize it. Mostly using suppressed pistols or snipers to maximize my stealth capabilities.
I also focused reflex to make myself mobile so if thing went loud or forced me to be aggressive I had a good katana and sandevstain to dice enemies.
I put the rest of my points into body so I could open doors, hijack cars, and give myself more health and regen.
At first I used mantis blades, but once I got byakko they were basically useless so I got gorilla arms to "max" my body.
Sharing some photos of my Phantom Liberty build. This game is stunning and I'm so glad to see it getting the respect it has rightfully earned.
Could you share what mods you're using for the jacket/pants in the first pic?
Jacket: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/7701
Pants: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/5119?tab=files
The cyberdeck on the left leg is from this mod here: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/9345
Thanks
Amazing! These clothes are all mods right? It pisses me off so badly that apparently there isn’t a full-chest body vest like this in game. Can’t even work a tacticool outfit properly lol
Yeah they're all mods unfortunately. The base game is great but I've played through it enough to warrant a change.
Hey look more great V outfits.......... and it's mods.
For fucks sake.
Cool pics but not a build....
Well ackchually
what's up gurl?
what time you start your shift at Jig JIg?
Wondering what everybody was enjoying the most or is maybe looking forward to play for Phantom Liberty/1.7?
On my first two playthroughs i did some variation of Shotgun Hacker… the second one was probably the funnest. Only debuffs in the cyberdeck, lots of tech and some body, Satara and grenades.
On my third, i tried a Sandy build because of Edgerunners, mostly Katana, Sniping whenever possible, and Burya (i love this gone so much, and Comrades Hammer is kind of too strong).
For my next one, its probably gonna be Int/Reflex/ very low body, with a lot of hacking and stealthy takedowns.
Any more stuff i should try out? Never tried berserk, it sounds a bit less fun in theory.
I tried berserk once but honestly I just didn’t vibe with it. The game in its current iteration really doesn’t allow for tank builds. I’m optomistic that will change though. Looking at some of the footage from Phantom Liberty I couldn’t help but notice that the numbers seem to have gone down drastically and that the player was getting hit frequently without sustaining significant damage with their cool/reflexes build.
Yes, i‘ve seen that too! Theres that scene of the player eating like 2-3 SMG mags while hopping around a staircase. Had a yellow health bar though, might be armor.
Honestly I really like the idea of regenerating armor as an alternative to a high body stat. In my ideal cyberpunk every build should have an answer to overcoming the same problems.
Don't you lack damage on headshots with sniper rifle ?
i came up with a better one with one different cyberwear
I want to do this. What cyberware have you installed?
This is real Cool, but I cant look at a build without a generic intro song and an ad for Manscaped. Can you put a couple of extra slides at the beginning?
Yup. this is pretty pretty similar to my build, but I went full in on projectile launcher skills instead of grenades
I took a look through every build in this tierlist, but none of them particularly appealed to me, either through not being the gameplay style I wanted, or not taking perks that I absolutely do want.
I want a build that has high Cool, Tech, and Int, and I'm less worried about body or reflexes, but it seems every build out there prioritizes either body or reflexes and drops either tech or int. I'm playing a corpo and want do do a stealthy sniper build, and I'm not concerned whether its tech snipers or smart snipers (though i probably wouldn't take talents for both). Also, I'm playing on normal difficulty.
I own phantom liberty, so I know max level is 60 now, I'm just wondering if I'm overthinking this and if I should just go with the flow, or if I'm gimping myself a lot by not upping my body and/or reflexes enough to compensate for the weakpoints of the skillset I have in mind.
Plenty of ways to do a stealthy netrunner/sniper type build. Are you actually wanting to do a lot of hacking z or just use the deck for utility?
Open to either! My priorities are stealth and sniping. My 1.0 build was a pistol / reflexes build with lots of cold blooded procs and a sandevistan, so i'm looking for something a bit different.
If you're just using your hacking to shut off cameras, distract enemies and take control of elevators you can get by with minimal investment into intelligence, so you can just invest heavily into cool tech and body and put enough points into reflex for air dash. Start by maxing out cool, and you can pretty much stealth run through most of the game
This is just my opinion, but I think INT naturally pairs with BODY, because of Overclock. Overclock borrows Health points to use as RAM for hacks. So, I want to have lots of health and quick health regen if I’m dependent on Quickhacks. Also, you need some survivability, and body helps with that. I’d consider this a tanky netrunner build with INT = 20, BODY = 20, and other points divided among TECH, COOL, and REFL depending on whether you want to maximize armor or critical chances and damage. Pair this with Monowire arms and Smart weapon perks if you want to just barge into fights to hack and spray smart gun fire at enemies,
You can use a Cyberdeck with a stealth build, but for most stealth play you don’t need higher INT or Overclock, because you have plenty of time to regen RAM while you maintain stealth. I’d prefer to max COOL and Reflexes for a stealth build, because (1) reflexes help you move fast and air dash to maintain stealth, get to vantage points and cover, (2) COOL and REFL boost your critical damage and critical chances, respectively, so they pair naturally. BODY and TECH both help you get into inaccessible areas by opening doors and gates, but I’d lean towards TECH to fire tech weapons from behind cover, so maybe COOL = 20, REFL = 20, TECH = 20, INT = 18, and BODY = 3? Or INT = 15 and BODY = 6? I’d probably go with Gorilla arms for the stat check boost to force open some doors, or projectile launch system for when you break cover. Then perk up for tech weapons over smart weapons, because neither smart nor tech weapons can be silenced, but I find it easier to use tech weapons behind cover. You can use smart weapons to bend bullets around cover, but only after you expose yourself to get target lock.
That 2nd build sounds pretty cool! The first build isn't exactly what I'm going for since I ideally want to maintain stealth as much as possible, especially with optical camo.
Do you think there's room in that 2nd build for throwing knives? I ideally wanted to use monowire since it fits the aesthetic. Also, I didn't realize tech and smart weapons couldn't be silences, that really throws a wrench in my plans. I'm totally okay using a power sniper, but that explains a bit why the stealth builds i see don't usually invest in those perks.
The first build is mostly explaining why you would pair INT with BODY.
Yes, the second build would pair nicely with knives, or even katanas. One trick to the builds in Cyberpunk (at least after 2.0) is that you can re-distribute your perks anytime you want (except when you are in open combat), but you can only re-distribute your Attribute points once (and I almost never do). So, if you pick a certain style of Attribute points, you can re-distribute your perks to optimize for different styles of play.
For example, it’s smart to add some car perks before any car races Claire, or any car thefts for El Capitan, but you probably want to shift those car perks to combat skills for more difficult missions that don’t use the car.
Likewise, re-distribute your perks, cyberware and clothes for the boxing side missions to maximize melee combat. I also typically use a Sandevistan for the two shooting range missions, just to get a little advantage over the competition.
Or there is a certain mini boss who is only vulnerable to melee attacks (swords or blunt weapons), so I would re-spec my perks to Katanas if I had high REFL or blunt attacks if I had high BODY. And once you’ve memorized the game, you can perk for a stealth build for most of that mission, then re-perk for melee combat right before this mini boss.
If you have REFL = 20 and COOL = 20, you will have the perks to maximize at least 2 weapons:
* Perking both knives and pistols / sniper rifles is great for stealth, but maybe not so great for open combat.
* Perking assault rifles/SMGs and Katanas is great for open combat, but not good for stealth
* Perking some combo of pistols or knives with assault rifles or katanas gives you a little of both worlds. Take people out quietly, but have something ready for when you break stealth.
Not trying to be a dick, but if you're playing on Normal your build does not matter at all. Pick whatever you want, you'll cake walk through. The game is far too easy on anything other than VH for a build to matter. In fact it's the only time your build must be well put together to succeed.
You can get through 100% of the content with a silenced pistol and no skills whatsoever in pistol or stealth on a Normal playthrough.
You’re overthinking it. Go with the flow. When it gets too easy, up the difficulty.
What do you suggest remaining play through (phantom liberty content and act 3) should I Re spec to?
I’m too bored and tired of killing everyone and getting blames by fixers lol
handcannon/revolver build. sandy + kereznikov headshot machine
It's fun for just a little bit to spec into stealth pistols and time-warp cyberware (Sandevistan, Kerinzikov, and Kerinzikov boost system) and just headshot your way through an entire gang before they even realize you're there. It also gets boring really fast because it's pretty OP. Put gorilla arms on and you can RP as David from the anime.
Why don’t more people use gorilla or mantis blades in the game, as in any other npc? It’s crazy how much damage you can do for just 12 cyberware capacity
FR. The way I like to play is to move at speed. Stealth take-down one to two up front, silencer the next few or until discovered (remember, moving fast), and then mow through with SMG until my ammo runs out. Then it's fists until next Friday. It works well for low level, take cover to reload and heal if need be, whip out a shotty to blast through if I'm feeling desperate.
I did a knives only build. It was fun. But after about 45 hours or so now I just play like a wild man. Sometimes axe, sometimes knives, sometimes explosive pistol, and sometimes suicide.
Gotta keep it fresh
I played a lot with maphack (ping) and tech snipers for easy game. The "fun" factor might be debatable
The stealth version of that is Ping with Buzzsaw and a silencer. The fun factor is definitely debatable, lol.
Literally anything, they're all strong
What's better, high dps but low dmg or low dps but higher dmg?
High dps means high damage
This is probably highest constant damage you can do without being dependent on sandevistan or staying at distance picking enemies using sniper from stealth but doing 100k damage. All are good game allows you to play how you like.
I love strength builds. I start engagements with the shotgun for the bonus speed but usually do most of the work with my fists. Even on very hard beserk + speed bonus means most enemies go down with a single punch.
Yes have berserk installed but didn’t find need of using it yet maybe in PL there will be some mighty enemy with million health.
Still weaker than my 300% crit chance with 1000% crit damage I kill everything in one swing including smasher
Best damage I’ve found was sniper rifles around 80-150k crit depending on enemy level and difficulty.
I think lower dps = more fun. Fighting gets boring at high levels, so if you deal less damage it becomes slightly more challenging.
Literally why I kept a few low level katanas on me, ima a sandy katana user and one shotting everything is boring…
Yeah I agree low health plus sandy and a katana is fun as fuck really makes you feel like a bad ass who can die with even the slightest mistake
Is the color modded? Haven't seen a red and black version.
Nah it’s in the base game, (ending spoilers) >!after you beat Adam Smasher he’ll have an access token that you’ll keep after being returned to before the point of no return. You can go to the Ebunike afterwards and unlock a room with this token that has a crate with the crafting specs for this gun inside.!<
My reasoning is that different missions requiere different approaches, I don’t think a stealth build will help that much against Adam Smasher or Cybepsychos or a pure strength build will no much when a gif requires not alerting enemies, that’s just my opinion
I always go for balance and the only question is which attributes get to 9 and 15 first. After that, sure, one or two of those get to 20, I can't even remember. Those level 20 perks are really specific and generally not that useful when I play
I focused on increasing my cyberwere capacity first and the one that unlocks more hands cyberwere
Yeah I typically go for increasing cyberware capacity and usually end up focusing my cyberware on reload and quickhack upload speed first, with other stats coming second (in general)
Respectfully; You’re playing the game wrong. The majority of the level 20 perks are all amazing.
They are amazing for their specific cases. Some of them I've found to be extremely useful for my playstyle, too. But I don't believe in playing a game "wrong", especially when we're not talking about anything insane here 😂
Which ones would you say meaningfully alter your playstyle, rather than just making a very specific combo overpowered?
I think there's an argument for edgerunner, but that's also going to necessitate putting at least 15 points into body, and probably wanting higher mitigation too - so you've dedicated a lot of attribute points to boost your cyberware capacity.
Ticking Time Bomb can be cool, but has the downside of being AoE so causing collateral damage (and getting the NCPD on you).
Really beyond that, all of the top tier perks are tied to a specific weapon type or playstyle, which are very powerful - but I don't think they mean "you're playing the game wrong" because for the most part you play the game exactly the same, but just do more damage.
In comparison, the level 15 perks in every tree are absolutely vital to let you use a broad number of playstyles - overclock is unquestionably more important and fun to use than any of the level 20 Intelligence perks. With PL, you can get all perks to level 15 and one to 20, but if you want two or more attributes at level 20, you have to sacrifice the arguably more useful level 15 perks in another tree.
Even if you go balanced you are sacrificing some perks. Not enough to spread around. Mostly the center trees and maybe better in an area or two. Builds let you have multiple saves and you can load up stealth killer or Rambo
Would be nice if PL added max level cap so you could build a super merc
Min/Max-ing can take the fun out of things, i say play how you want to...but dont waste perks in stuff you don't need. Usually every build has some sort of gun stat included though.
I sneak kill cyberpsychos
Correction, sneak debilitate until I talk to the fixer then go back and head shot.
One of the builds of all time, easily.
I'm not asking for the most OP build. I want to know which one will best utilize everything PL has to offer including new weapons, mechanics (if any), etc. I finished cyberpunk before 2.0 and I'm going back to play this DLC. My previous build was based on mantis blades + sandevistan.
My recent build is based on a Chaotic Arson V with a fire based arsenal (Errata, Thermal Projectile Launcher, Psalm 11:6, Fenrir, pyromaniac perk maxed, etc). I might get a Berserk Sandy to add to the chaos but I’ll wait until after I rescue Saul because it’s easier to stealth rescuing Saul with quickhacks.
Isn’t fenrir electric damage? It used to be fire damage. Anyways what’s your cyberware? What stat bonuses did you focus on getting for that build?
right at the top of my head i would go either with a techtronica build, trying to use most of those weapons.
or maybe a tech run, given that we get very cool tech weapons in the DLC, raiju, rasetsu, reeds weapon, etc.
IMHO I think strength shotgunnin gorilla armin quaking is OP AF with full out tech you are unstoppable. Next is Netrunner with monowire hide and let your hacks spread and blow people up (I use detonate grenade and contagion/overheat combo trust me try it results are explosive lolol). Stealth and blades feel very underwhelming to me Im getting wrecked with my sandy dagger throwing ninja maybe I just need more chrome idk but it feels like crap. What are yalls fav builds so far? ****BTW I play on very hard on all my saves and ive got 3 saves so far number one in my opinion is a strength tech build dummy OP. Number 2 My main save a netrunner who used to use hack and SMGs to blast people away IYKYK. 3rd Blades/stealth and dagger throwing feels so squishy again maybe im not playing it write.
For blades, I found Berserk to be more effective and just don’t sneak. Slap a cyclone mod on a Katana and grab the Cyberware that reduces cooldowns on kills. There’s another blade mod that’s really good but I don’t know how to spoiler tag. It’s a really fun build.
Hmm very interesting I love how you can actually mix cyberware now. I honestly believe cyberware is what makes or breaks builds now instead of perks
Apogee sandy with sword and axolotl is pretty busted. Pair in the frontal lobe thing that refills a cyberware charge and you almost never have any down time. Heal on kill with biomonitor and adrenaline makes you nigh invincible.
See this is what I've been saying to people cyberware builds are the new perks. YOU NEED CYBERWARE and you need to READ!
Oh yeah, the skill trees are just gravy on top. The chrome's the real build. Just go tech, reflex and body on this and you're a human tornado.
Hey im using your build but i dont really wanna go with katanas because my first playthrough was with them and they are kinda lame for the roleplay... i want to use pistols but i specifically wish for a pistol that melts through max-tac like byakko does cuz im a bit of tryhard... do you have any idea if there is something at least close to that in the game aside from PL guns?
A bit late but comrades hammer is a tech revolver you can craft. It doesn't go through walls but you can charge it and do more damage. It has one shot and it's explosive. Paired with the hand cyberware that makes reloading makes your next shot have an emp blast it's insane. Then add the tech weapon perk for bolt shots and your a god. I upgraded it all the way and basically I one shot everything in the game. If people are too close sometimes I take out 2-3 dude in one shot. Reloading speed is the only thing I focused on for that build since you only get one shot. I used it on my netrunner tbh so I always had tools if nothing else but I think with a sandy or beserk it would be better.
I dunno my builds pretty much the same since before 2.0. Actually feels abit weaker since instead of skills buffing overall damage we just get alot of skills increasing weapon effectiveness. I've just gone with all the skills that better my healing, cyberware capacity and increasing smart gun effectiveness.
I run around with the arasaka smart submachingun that uses explosive rounds. Activate my sandy and shoot everyone and watch them explode into little pieces. I don't play on the hardest difficulties but I don't really like that side of games. Someone being a bullet sponge doesn't entertain me. If there's no reasonable explanation for them being extremely tanky then they shouldn't take 4 mages to die.
Basically what I'm saying is on normal difficulty my build makes me feel very powerful whilst also not making the enemies obsurdly hard to kill. People explode Infront of me. I'm zipping around crowds of enemies with ease. I can run super fast and It takes a very strong enemy to take me down eventually.
But from my previous experience before 2.0 when I did a netrunning build. Because you can do it all from stealth most of the time it seems the best way to go. You don't need loads of armour or health and you don't need to heal much because noone knows you're there and they die pretty easy to quickhacks
It's funny because I feel like they really balanced out the harder difficulty imo the enemies aren't harder to kill I'm just easier to kill. My original build as a tech netrunner I was only in tech to craft/upgrade felt very forced I wasn't stealthy at all I ran in dropped a contagion and used problem solver to unload legendary short circuit on bitches I loved it but now I love using my monowire and hacks still running in like an absolute cyberpyscho lmao
Yeah tbf I do feel abit unkillable at times. It's a weird feeling for me in higher difficulties I notice that enemies take alot more to kill and I'm easier to kill. Normal makes me feel like a can shrug off the usual street thugs but get abit overwhelmed against the higher tier bad guys.
Normal feels like a good difficulty and even on very easy maxtac out me straight into the ground. It's just weird from a lore perspective because how tanky can cyberware really make you????
Hey im using your build but i dont really wanna go with katanas because my first playthrough was with them and they are kinda lame for the roleplay... i want to use handgun but i specifically wish for a handgun that melts through max-tac like byakko does cuz im a bit of tryhard... do you have any idea if there is something at least close to that in the game aside from PL guns?
To be honest aside from Pride and it's not something you can really have a playthrough with. I don't see which other pistol could get through maxtac. I don't play often with pistols though so I could be missing something. You always have the option to stun lock them with sandy + emp then grabbing them but straight up shooting them with a pistol may be quite rough
Hey, everyone! Finally bought the expansion today and planning to do a 2nd playthrough.
In my first playthrough, I made a gunner street kid (pistol, smg, AR) just getting skills like focus, reducing recoil, and faster reload speed.
What build do you guys recommend and fun to use, specially in expansion?
headhunter + hansen’s knife and gun, combine with maxed out cool and middle tree reflex and sandy and optical camo for basically a ninja that kills everything in a blink of an eye before being detected, but can also melt bosses
First run, I did a katana and smg run.. Enjoyed it, but this time through, I'm doing no-guns on purpose; nothing but quickhacks and monowire. Having a blast.
Nehan + satori, use chrome compressor and kerenzikov or you can also make a netrunner blackwall build (endgame stuff though)
I just wish you were able to get that smart shotgun earlier on in the game.
You can use auto shotgun as well it kicks a punch just requires little more accurate aiming.
Build. Looking for feedback and improvements. Tanks!
That's awesome, Doom is good.
But, what about monowires!
You'd do far more damage just dropping berserk and abusing short circuit on crit.
I just got the game updated with PL for PC after playing on ps5 for years. My old PC/monitor combo caused migraines when I'd game. The graphics and lighting (finally can use ray tracing) still blow me away. And the cosmetic mods have been so much fun too. I'm mostly using hair and clothing mods right now. I usually play mage/netrunner builds and control the battlefield before getting close to enemies, and I finally am going to do a run with melee weapons/bats/hammers/shotgun and a sandevistan. I usually hack through cameras and hack the gas canisters to explode, bait or use sniper/silenced pistols. Any recommendations for builds/weapons combinations and cyberware for my streetkid brawler V?
There’s a perk that lets you add random modifiers to your cyberware (it’s in the cyberware tree and looks like a mad scientist). Best taken early as every upgrade lets you reroll the modifiers.
You can get close to 90% reduction in reload speeds, increase stealth damage modifiers and greatly reduce how quickly enemies spot you.
Yup, two perks, in sequence. Driver Update, which gives you two different stat modifier options on upgrades, and then Chipware Connoisseur, which increases it to three choices for cyberware tier 3 and higher. I sprint to 9 tech so I can have those.
I don't know if this holds true for everyone, but any tier 1 cyberware I had prior to getting those perks doesn't receive their benefit. I have to buy replacement 'ware, and then it works fine.
That might be because Tier 1 kit doesn‘t have two stat modifiers, let alone three.
As I said in another post my favorite build is the sandy kitana with double throwing knives for more range.
It takes some getting used to but dashing in between enemies and either deflecting bullets with your kitana or popping sandy and cleaning out an entire room is very satisfying.
Yeah i might try this but i gotta ask.
Do knives get blade bonuses when you use them as melee weapons? Like not throwing em.
It might not seem it at first, but a Sandevistan build is still very good for stealth if you want to/need to for a gig. A Sandevistan really enhances optical camo because, obviously, it stretches out the time that it's active, plus since time is slow, NPCs don't react to you as fast, so you can scoot past someone with camo + sandy active that would have normally detected you with just optical camo. The big thing is cameras which you can no longer just shut down by being in line of sight. However, if you get your repair up, you can manually shut them off when you run up to them. You can do it without sandy active if you're quick enough, or with sandy active if you want to make it easy.
I figured I'd want optical camo and I may just try removing cameras with a silenced pistol. I had no clue they could even be manually shut off!
Yup, at 15 Tech you just have to get close enough to interact with them and it's a single button press to turn them off.
a Recon Grenade does wonders especially at T5 as the radius is tremendous, Honestly don't care much about the other nades when I can just run up and shotgun everything to bits
Try throwing a frag at someone’s chest then shooting it. Great for Elites.
Become V! The master of steath and ambush fisting! Sneak up behind your opponents and fist them to death! Ram your gorilla arms deep into their bodies before sneaking away before they figure out what happened to them!
I think I will definitely be doing this to some Scavs
The new skill tree overhaul and rebalance is exciting but pretty overwhelming. What are the perks and chrome that are too good to pass up? I have a Nomad that was focused on pistols and blades, and a Corpo focused on netrunning and stealth, both at or close to max level pre-update.
Also, it seems like the Malorian 3516 can no longer pierce walls?? That was the one redeeming thing about the gun. Is there a Tech perk that restores this functionality? Or maybe a way to mod it via save editor or something?
Dash, from reflex, is so much fun. I just love the hyper mobility. I utilise dash and kereznikov never feel I need a sandy. Oh, And don't forget the fast vehicle exit perk.
Tech way into edgerunner is basically a must have. And since you're now deep in tech, highly recommended throwing a few points to the health usage perks on the left. And tech weapons while you're at it, the 'dont auto fire when charged' perk is outstanding.
P s pretty sure I've seen a mod on the nexus to restore Malorians bullet penetrating. Take a look!
Ooh, I'll check those out. I also saw perks for deflecting bullets and blitzing towards the target with blades, so I am looking forward to being an anime protagonist.
Found the Malorian mod too, thanks!
Bloodpump.
I used to use the Biomonitor for emergency heals, but it looks like the Bloodpump is a better option and has a lot of cool perks associated with it. I'll definitely try it out.
To be clear it replaces your health item and gets the same buffs as health items do from perks. It's a combination of bounce back and max doc.
Dash/Air Dash perks. And Reinforced Tendons.
20 points in reflex is a must have for every build for the super fun air dashes. Reinforced tendons is also a must have. Get it asap. Best cyber ware in the game next to sandevistan.
If you’re playing on pc, I highly recommend the cyberware-ex mod on nexus website that allows you to install a cyberdeck and sandevistan at the same time.
i loved this mod on 1.63. im glad they updated it. planning to play through once in 2.0 before i mod it up again, but ill definitely be getting that one back
Blunt weapons got some love and I've always found them to be very fun to use. You can get a 'finisher' where you pick an enemy up over your head and throw them at other people for massive damage and a very satisfying splat sound.
So i heard many people say intelligence is the worst, i see that differently, because i like those quickhacks you can do and recover alot of ram. Also i wont touch cool at all because i just dont find anything interessting in that. Now i am swinging between technical and body cuz they seem to have the best perks in my eyes.
I know everyone has other builds so this is more like a subjective question, but what is in your eyes the best build? I would like to go with something strong and fast while maintaning the ram coverage with intelligence, and also this time i wanna do a much better build due to me still being in my 1st playtrough and i aint level 50 (or 60? Idk, i havent downloaded phantom liberty yet). So what would be the best investment for the description and my wish be?
The best build is the one I have the most fun with, which varies. I like to mix up different things so it doesn't get stale.
Smartguns using contagen and the shingen is ridiculously fun.
Sometimes I like to go stealthy, because knives are cool (see what I did there?)
Other times (like now) I bonking things with blunt weapons. Not a fan of berserk, but sandevestan or chrome compressor is fun.
There is no shortage of builds, so I tend to pick up a theme or skill or weapon I want to build it around, see what others have done, then modify as I see fit.
If you want a versatile build, I'd leave int at 3, then 15 in reflex (and maybe cool), put as much as you want in the others. You don't get overdrive, but you can play around with high body, tech, reflex, and maybe cool builds.
Int is an all or nothing thing. Either go 20, or stay at 3. Middle grounding a Cyberdeck is pretty bad. Go all in or not at all. Dedicated netrunning builds are probably the strongest in the game, but can get boring if you want gameplay variance. It's a Skyrim Stealth Archer build.
Max out one stat for its bonuses to your weapon of choice. Tech 20 and 15 Reflex should be in every build purely for quality of life. The Cyberware Capacity from Tech matters so much more than perks, and the mobility Reflex provides starts to feel essential after playing with it for a while. Mainstat 20/Reflex 15/Tech 15 would be a good template for where you are right now. Body and Cool at 4 so you can get tier 1 perks.
Eventually get 15 Body for Adreniline on every build too, but that only really matters for the endgame gauntlet, so I'd look to achieve it by like level 60-65.
This.
I’ll die on this hill 20 on int and tech and 15 on everything else and you can get access to most things and change your approach whenever you want by reassigning perks
For me reflexes is the most important. Even if youre netrunner, melee, or gunner it's just nice to be able to get in and out of combat quickly.
I did a combo of Intelligence (20), Technical Ability (20), Cool (15), Body (15), and Reflexes (10) for my last run, as a super stealth agent worthy of the NUSA. (Jackie’s Nue works as a placeholder with a suppressor until I get Her Majesty)
I used the Arasaka cyberdeck and Her Majesty with optical camo, and the quick hack order of tier 4 memory wipe, iconic reboot optics, and iconic sonic shock to get undetectable but non lethal takedowns mixed with one shotting in optical camo. If I need to kill anyone completely I just add one bullet to the head as they writhe in pain on the ground 🤣
10 in Reflexes is good enough for base dash so I can get the benefits of the relic tree branch that helps you stay out of combat. I use gorilla arms for the +6 to Body checks on doors with the 15 Body, allowing me to use all force open door options as needed. Cool gets me some improvements for the pistol and I like the vulnerability side of the relic tree to target the weak spots.
Bosses can seem more difficult at first but if you add a synapse burnout into the middle of the above quick hack list you can bring them down in over clock with the full queue after two or three queues. It’s a fun mixed style build with utility and varied options to approach gigs and missions to help prevent boredom.
I'm sort of a stealthy netrunner? And while it's okay I want the game to be more than okay. And TBH I don't want to spend time experimenting finding out what builds I really want to go with. I find the netrunning and hacking kind of cool like but I don't think I'm loving it. I keep stopping the game and not playing the next quest thinking I'll research and change my build but not really getting around to it. Can peeps recommend a more fun approach to the game?
I do like stealth. MGS5 is an all time fave. I've seen some YT videos where people are zipping all over the place katanaing the shit out of people. I got the leg tendons and really loved the jumping aspect opening up the game. I played all week without really chasing stats or perks cuz nothing is exciting me in the trees. What builds/weapon combos do you guys just love to death and why?
sorry if it's cheap but I don't really have a ton of time after work to invest and I want to get the most out of the game I can. Thanks all!
If you go on YouTube, and search for a “cyberpunk, 2077 builds” you will find hours and hours of content that will happily help you.
They don't really. Like you said there's hours and hours. I want people's bias opinions and why.
Cyberdeck, pistol and a knife.
Keeps it challenging for a long time in game. Eventually you'll be just about unkillable but the fights are a blast
triple throwing knives.
Yea tried this and its pretty fun and good. Works perfectly along with stealth and netrunning too.
Two words my friend; Gorilla Arms.
I play fairly balanced, with high Cool and Body (right now 15 each) and then fairly good everything else (all others currently 10 but I prioritise Reflex).
I call it a 'Solo build' because to my mind it's the closest to what a Morgan Blackhand or equivalent would use. Geared towards diplomacy, conventional stealth and suppressed weapons but also very capable of fucking things up with maximum, inelegant violence if necessary.
Before I got Phantom Liberty a couple days ago, I used a build centered around the Sandevistan and Mantis Blades. I stopped when I got Phantom Liberty because it felt like it was extremely weakened. Now, I just use guns, mainly Erebus.
What I mean by weakened is the Mantis Blades used to (before Phantom Liberty) not take a lot of stamina, attacked quickly, launched far, and was perfect for taking down cyberpsychos early game. With the Mantis Blades, you could just stun-lock bosses or cyberpsychos without any crazy abilities. All it took was time.
I could be very wrong about the Mantis Blades being weakened, I'm not completely sure but I know something is different.
I'm doing mostly stealth using the death & taxes and hawk guns (non stop one shot head shots) with a bit of net running thrown in. Super satisfying
Similar style, but I use the Kyubi-XMOD2 +Cetus and Yinglong. Overclock + system collapse + AR when I want to be stealthy, SMG/Shotgun when I want to be done quickly.
will try this in my corpo play through, what shotguns do you recommend choom?
Guts is good for most of the game, then the dezert/dezerter (don't remember the name). 1 shots most non-bosses in the game. Pair this with the Apogee Sandevistan and the room just turns into a red mist.
UNBRIDLED GONK POWER
Katana + Netrunner, for Very Hard.
Katana bullet deflection is so satisfying.
Probably just Netrunner, but I spec into overclock and keep myself just away from flatlining. If it’d have a name, it‘d probably be Edgerunner
My new favorite build is a netrunning pistol-wielder. I’ve got the option to Contagion entire armies of dudes or walk in with silenced, fully leveled pistols for quick headshots. Or both at the same time!
I refunded at release, now I'm back to try it (with Phantom Liberty).
I love fast-paced gameplay with a lot of movement and speed.
Some weapons that seem cool are throwing weapons, smart weapons, katanas ... Net runner hacking and Sandevistan usage seems pretty cool too.
Please help me choose! I would like it to be fun (and powerful).
My favourite bulid was a stealth netrunner that allowed me to basically take out everybody from 10 kms away, but it is no longer possible unfortunately. But stealth netrunners are still awesome.
Although from what you said, it seems to me like you’d prefer my second favourite bulid, an i infinite speed katana bulid. It works by equipping a katana and using a sandevistan, which by itself is a powerful combo, but if you use a specific katana, and some cyberware, you can basically achieve infinite sandevistan time with increasingly faster attacks culminating in a ridiculous situation where you can just hold left colicky and solo an entire max tac squad
Throwing knives is by far my favorite build.
Once you get the build online it’s great for combat and for stealth - getting into a fight with a bunch of dudes (like the supply drops in phantom liberty or doing the NCPD side missions) it is a blast to one shot the bad guys with thrown head shots.
Sword builds come close.
Net runner is incredibly powerful but I felt disconnected from the game play due to spending so much time menus; probably the strongest build though.
Just got back into a new playthrough after waiting for all the DLC and updates to come out. What are some of y’all’s favorite builds now that the game seems more customizable? My very first playthrough at launch was knives and swords and thinking about going back to that this go.
I'm going with stealth netrunner this time and quietly taking out enemies one by one by queuing sonic shock and synapse burnout is ridiculously fun.
Recommend down the line putting points into smart weapons too. For those times where stealth isn’t an option smart weapons has perks that apply to the overcloked mode. Definitely makes a difference and makes you feel less helpless when things go loud and you hacking just isn’t enough.
That’s what I’ve been doing. I’m a netrunner who uses smart guns. Makes the game pretty simple.
Fist only 😂 so let me recap since the 2.0 update I’ve tried 4 different builds, netrunner/revolver, shotgun/granade, netrunner, smg and they got boring after 30-40 hrs, now I’m doing fist only well until I made it to level 10 just got the gorilla arms so it’s much easier playing on normal but fist only was a bit hard until gorilla arms
I can’t wait to try pure fists it looks so fun
Yes very fun I’m using the electrifying gorilla arms 😂 it’s a bit hard until you have access to them but I guess you can carry a side arm for those that are a bit harder to punch
Last night I was just not having fun with my build so I removed all my chrome and respeced everything.
I was at 20int, 20Reflex, 20 tech, 12 body, 9 cool. I kept the int, relfex, and tech but dumped the cool. I went entirely to body for the last few points.
I put a ton of perk points into Int, for Netrunning, a little into Body for health regen, Reflex for mobility, and Tech for Tech weapons and Cyberware. I now run around with my Monowire on very hard and can clear out most groups fairly easily. I'm running a militech paraline to help with even more Monowire damage. Currently the Monowire is equipped with Cyberware malfunction, but I'm thinking I might switch that out. Maybe reboot optics or something.
I went really high into body so that I could use Adrenaline and other great in-combat healing options to further boost my Cyberdeck's overclocking. I get to both Netrun and run into the middle of combat.
To start a combat I might run, jump scan the area for the largest group and hit them with Contagion, overheat. I then run up to them and finish people off with Monowire.
Cripple Movement for monowire makes the most sense, just take the tier-5 version and read it line by line.
lol just read it. I think it was made for Monowire.
Punching people, picking them up, then throwing them at other people. Some people look at the number of grenades left. I look at the number of bodies on the ground.
I'm with this guy, nothing like treating a corpse as an explosive bowling ball. Great addition to 2.0
knives
Did use a sandevistan for most of my play through but switched to the chrome compressor because if iconic cyberware as you can see
Lmk anything i could change
You must really like pistols lol
Get rid of titanium bones, adreno trigger, revulsor and the iconic in the hands slot as their gains aren't that good on pistol and put in some better cyberware, also can you tell me what the middle piece is in the circulatory system?
Threatvac i think it slows down time when health drops dk
