TL;DR The "best" Ferrari car is subjective and depends on personal preferences, but popular choices include the LaFerrari for its design and performance, the F12 Berlinetta for its elegance and V12 engine, and classic models like the F40 and 288 GTO for their iconic status.
Modern Favorites
Among modern Ferraris, the LaFerrari is frequently mentioned as a top choice due to its design simplicity and speed [1:4],
[3:4]. The F12 Berlinetta is also highly regarded for its elegant design and powerful 6.3L V12 engine, making it a standout in the GT category
[2:2]. It was the last Ferrari designed by Pininfarina, adding to its timeless appeal
[2:6].
Classic Icons
Classic Ferraris hold a special place in enthusiasts' hearts. The F40 and 288 GTO are often celebrated for their unique designs and driving experiences [4:1],
[4:3]. These models represent an era of Ferrari that focused on raw power and minimal electronics, appealing to purists who value a more traditional driving experience
[1:3].
Performance and Rarity
Performance-wise, the 812 Superfast is noted for its V12 engine and track capabilities, offering a blend of GT comfort and high-speed thrills [1:1]. The rarity of certain models, like the 70th Anniversary Aperta, adds to their allure, with some considering them the fastest Ferraris available
[5:1].
Personal Preferences
Ultimately, choosing the best Ferrari can depend on individual tastes. Some prefer the rawness of older models like the F50, which features a naturally aspirated V12 and manual gearbox [1:5]. Others might lean towards newer models with advanced technology and hybrid systems, such as those found in the LaFerrari
[1:4].
When deciding on the best Ferrari, consider factors such as design, performance, historical significance, and personal connection to the brand. Each model offers something unique, catering to different aspects of what makes Ferrari cars so revered.
For me it’s the ferrari california and the ferrari enzo :)
F430 spider… just simply the rawest, most beautiful of the F cars. And also, because I just bought one
Damn congratulations man
The 57 250 Testarossa. Curves, glorious sound, pure drivers cars, no electronics, what's not to love?
The current production cars are too gummed up with electronics everywhere and flappy paddle transmissions.
La Ferrari. Love it’s design and simplicity. Fast. I wish they redo it but they won’t
F50. The last pure Ferrari supercar ever built, in my opinion. Raw naturally aspirated V12 mounted midship and a manual gearbox. No turbos, no hybrid, no paddle shift.
812 superfast. Before that the f12 berlinetta.
V12 NA engine, insane exhaust note, front engined, a GT car in the truest sense and a monster on the track.
I will be surprised if the next incarnation doesn’t pair the excellent engine with the hybrid system from the La Ferrari to wring out even more power.
Plus they’re not nearly as common as the pistas, 488s and 458s you normally see floating around Sydney. So the rarity makes it all the more enjoyable.
The fact that this spec is Rosso Corsa with black rims (the worst combo in terms of taste imo) and still looks amazing says it all !!
What are your arguments for it being one of the best and what would you consider better? There are a lot of phenomenal Ferrari's in the same year span. I'm just curious.
Design wise modern Ferrari’s tend to get a bit more aggressive and show off, the F12 still has these elegant and classy lines and a low rear compared to its successor the 812.
Obv let’s not forget it has one of the best engines ever made, 6.3L V12, the pinnacle of front engine GT imo, which was just insane back in 2012.
It was also the last ever Ferrari designed by Pininfarina which make its timeless, ever since Ferrari hasn’t hit the same. The fact that you can own a F12 for around 200k is also crazy to me, so little !!! And people yet choose to get a 296 GTB for a extra 100k 😂
Lastly the driving is absolutely sensational and extremely aggressive, sadly I’m too young to drive, but the sensations in this car is like no other and I’ve been passenger in all sorts of cars.
I also have pretty big passion for Ferrari specs and a well specced F12 is the most beautiful thing on earth, doesn’t hit the same as seing a perfect spec 812, SP3 etc (check out the 70th anniversary F12 series)
Go watch Top Gear F12 review if you ever have the time !
Very specific I truly appreciate it.
I've had the ability to drive many Ferrari's including the F12 and I can't say it's horrible to drive or be around or inside at all. My only personal pick on it is that it looks like a cross between a California and an FF with a hint of 599.
Kinda puts it in an "Old man" car place for me.(I'm 45 so not young) I'm not saying it's ugly or anything along those lines and I understand exactly what you are saying by classy elegant look.
Only Ferrari can make a car that appeals to all ages for different reasons. I love the engine but I prefer the more aggressive more showy side of Ferrari. 458 Speciale, 488 Pista or the F8 or SF90 for examples.
I'm definitely not putting them all together in one box just those body styles I feel the same about as you do about the F12 so I completely understand. It's just something you feel.
Once again though I truly appreciate your honest and genuine answer. I'm positive one day you will own one. 💯🔥🙏🏼
I think 575M or 812 will be better value. The engine is the same in all of them. F12 didn’t offer stick shift and had no rear wheel steering
Also not a big fan of Black rims but silver rims would look cheap. (My opinion)
F12 shouldnt be red. There are way more beautiful colors for such an unique car.
Silver rims are the best !! Make silver rims great again, depending on the spec black looks tasteless to me, compared to silver which is extremely classy and elegant (imo).
But yes I agree, I’m the first one the be against Rosso Corsa, especially when Ferrari offer such a wide range of colors. Pretty rare to find good specs on the F12, luckily the 70th anniversary series exist.
Absolutely. There are a few beautiful specced f12. But rosso corsa with silver rims looks cheap to me. Also black doesnt look good. Im generally not a big fan of red ferraris.
I'm sure this will explode in value at some point
Being the last Ferrari model designed by Pininfarina (technically the California T was, but that's just a variant of another existing model), probably.
Tdf already took off in terms of value
Beautiful car, legend in the making...
Agree the black rims suck. That's a "cool" option for guys with no taste
I have Mc Laren P1 GTr and Regera but Regera sucks in Turns and Ferrari its awesome, indeed i use it in OFF ROAD indeed too i just Customize the Suspension and Tires and Differential and it works perfectly.
Audi R8 with a V10 swap and 8spd goes hard. Has been my goto since I first bought it.
Hmmm i have 400+ rating and urs?
I tried the 34 GTR but its mit that good as i hoped .. Love to Play the Audi S5 but its not that easy to Drift as the GT or 34GTR
First car i bought Challenger and then the S5 it was awesome i won every race with it i made money to buy the R8 coz im Audi fan nd then bought Ferrari not Disappointed at all, these 3 car are my favorite,
The Regera was the first Supercar I bought and I immediately regretted it. I love my Porsche but the Ferrari is awesome!
Actually i bought first Ferrari and then the MC Laren its sucked coz it was very weak without the Heat Parts and Ferrari was awesome i love it. Regera i played 10 minutes i won 1 races hardly with a lot of crashes
I personally love the Ford GT
Yup its my favourite and i cant find any other Car as good as the GT. I build it with Showcase parts an frag Tires and it Drifts quiet good and races Well. Love its Allround Flair, but still Look Out for Something else
Yes, I absolutely love it. I thought about trying the Pagani but I'm afraid of being disappointed haha
Im gonna buy the GT and try 👍🏻
The regera os one of the worst cars in the game…
You want a good car? Buy the 71’ gtr or the pagani
First Car that i bought was 71 Gtr was awesome i still use it for Drift Races i love it
LaFerrari for me!
Hands down the 288 GTO, with the F40 a close second.
good answer
It’s just way sexier and unique.
There's no F50 in the picture, so clearly it's the best as they are out driving it...
288 gto please!!!
Either f40 or 288 gto, Don’t like newer ferraris
Hi, I have a crapload of Ferrari parts and I wanna know what the best one is so I can dump some parts into it!
Personally I am locked and loaded with s6 and fusion for my LaFerrari
I only have engine, turbo, and intake s6 for the laferrari but I don't have many for the other cars either
It’s a toss up I guess. LaFerrari is so hard to get
Have enough S6 to max 2 LaFs. Almost 2 years playing, creeping up on rank 700... still no Laf to install them on
Yeah buddy. That’s what I’m talking about. CSR2 dedication on display. Hit up support and tell them about your dedication and say you needs two of different colors
The Aperta is the fastest Ferrari but for a newer player the one you have the most stage 6’s for is the best, the best for your buck is the F12, you can buy them with cash to strip for stage 6’s and fusions
That might be what I end up doing, thanks!
Best is subjective. If you’re asking which is the fastest, the 70th Anniversary Aperta is. After that it’s the LaFerrari, then the 812 Superfast.
Check out this spreadsheet, it has all the fastest known times of the cars in the game.
Ok thanks I think I'm gonna go with the f12 berlinetta
The F12 is a good car, but you have to be careful with it as it can bust its dyno time very easily. You run the risk of being bumped into faster lobbies with doing so.
The Ferrari, Opened. 70th
translated from: La Ferrari, Aperta. 70th
I wonder if it’s even possible. The day I finally get it I will probably have a mental breakdown and cry.
F50>F40. I agree w you that this generation is the last True Ferrari generation as Enzo was still alive, however, the SP3 it’s an EXCEPTIONAL Ferrari and would put it above the LaFerrari.
Serious question as I have no idea: What makes the SP3 so special?
Basically it has everything that makes a Ferrari special and its extremely exclusive.
In the age of hybrids and V6s. You have a V12 with no hybrid or electrical systems like you got in the LaFerrari.
100% agree SP3 is undoubtedly the Ferrari of the decade despite the F80 just coming out lmao.
The sp3 was built as an enthusiast pleaser, the f80 is just all out cutting Edge Racing technologiy put into a road car, to make the best track weapon than they can currently build.
The F50 is the only V12 naturally aspirated mid engine manual Ferrari that has ever been built.
The looks are growing on me but in paper this is peak. And I don't mean the modded one in OPs post. I mean the F50 as a model.
I won’t go this far because the F-40 is incredible, and because I can’t stand the holes in the hood, but I became a F-50 believer when I realized it’s an open top, gated manual, NA V-12 car, and we’ll probably never get something that cool again.
Jail for whomever put on those wheels though.
what makes the F40 incredible? its style over substance by far
it's chassis is spaghetti, its engine is worse in every metric but peak power than a dyson vacuum cleaner u can buy right now, and its racing history is to be studied, not for lessons but standup comedy material
Enzo died 7 years before the F50 came out.
There are only four black F50’s in existence, they’re not going to be modified like that.
This is a render isn’t it? Love the F50 but sadly this one isn’t real
I know there are a lot of people always saying: „the LaFerrari is the best Car ever created“. In my opinion it isn‘t
It‘s a nice car for sure, but there are so many better ones..
The Sp3, it‘s just perfect The F50, so special an smooth The Testarossa, just an amazing Car
What are your thought?
It's not as special as the LaFerrari which was one of the most revolutionary cars Ferrari has ever made (unfortunately this idea was ditched for much heavier plug in hybrid systems).
I also don’t think it looks as good, the rear is especially meh. Tough compared to everything Centro Stile has come up in the last 6-7 years it's a masterpiece.
The rear is a callback to the Testarossa, you pleb.
This is why they are called opinions.
I disagree with you, and I actually think the styling of the SP3 is one of my least favorite and least “Ferrari” like of all time.
I think the company as a whole has jumped the shark and strayed quite far from its styling lineage.
All the newer more curvy Ferraris remind me of the 60s cars alot so it seems like a return to form for me
I have both. It's not.
That said, the SP3 is a wonderful, unique GT. And I love the styling.
I love the styling of the SP3 because it's incredibly unique without being too overstated. (Although it's definitely... stated to a degree lol).
LaFerrari is just plain beautiful. It's the perfect blend of objectively looking like a hyper car, while giving a tasteful nod to traditional styling. Although the Enzo is iconic, it's too bulbous for me to say it's traditionally good-looking. The LaFerrari seemed to take everything good about the Enzo and then polished out all of the awkward proportions.
Im shocked so many people love the sp3 so much. Visually it is VERY busy and I can't stand the entire rear end. I always thought the nose on the laferrari is a little longer than it should be but it has grown on me now. Also I'll probably never see either of these cars irl so who am I to say anything lol
I mean we’re not that far apart I mean I own a Ferrari Dino 246 as a scaled toy
I dream about the LaFerrari. I guess we’re on the same boat!
The SP3 is a like a quieter, less edgy, lower power LaF Aperta. The styling is wild and gorgeous and unique, while the performance and ride are dialed towards GT rather than hypercar.
Of the two, I'd take the LaF 10/10 times for track use. Thus my personal preference.
IDK about that, OP.
Sp3 is definitely better looking than the SF80 though.
@yonly65 is a legend. Check out his Instagram - they just raced at Sebring.
This is the best Ferrari I've driven so far. It’s very easy to drive and it was definitely worth the one million and a half credits it cost. It definitely deserves to be "The definitive Ferrari" as Ferrari intended. Atleast when it came out.
Still one of the worst names of all time
Oh no, the name is as beautiful as the car is. It’s so bold to call your model that.
Will is still be the “definitive” Ferrari in 30 years? Probably not
Agreed. It’s really stupid lol. I’m gonna name my new lambo the Lamborghini LaLamborghini. Or my new Ford TheFord. How about Toyota TheToyota
Yes it is beautiful and efficient
Horrible name latta balls.
Off by just a couple years, the F-40 was better
Edit I mis ID'd this at 4AM as a 488
Interesting take, what in your opinion puts the standard 458 over a speciale?
I mis ID'd this at 4AM as a 488. Human...it happens.
Regardless, induction type wasn't my sole criteria. Funny thing is that the 458 and F-40 are my two fav V8 Ferraris
NA
That is a 458
It might be if the F40 and 288 GTO didn't exist.
Those aren’t sonorous enough. Turbos muffle the noise and they don’t light themselves on fire enough. 355 is the GOAT.
IMO F430 scuderia > this
Hey dad, agreed but when I think best Ferrari V8 I think 355. The motor in that is WAY more expensive to maintain, WAY more unreliable, almost guaranteed to light itself on fire, but screams like an Italian opera singer. It’s the most Ferrari of the Ferrari V8s. IMO the GOAT
Good opinion and amazing profile picture
Very good, but not the best
Exactly
For an entire season, 2018 was probably the closest time they had the best car.
Exactly, if the 2017 Vettel drove the 2018 Ferrari he could've won.
He would have come closer but not won the title. Ferrari completely fell off in the second half, their strategies were terrible, the upgrades made the car slower and they didn't know whom to prioritize. Not to mention the constant internal politics which worsened after marchionne's death.
Yup. First half of the season they had the best car. FIA technical directive ruined their season and potentially their ground force regulations era.
Still, in those years Ferrari seemed better.
tbf 2007 imo is the weakest WCC car in the 21st century, relatively speaking. The McLaren was the best, by some margin and they only lost because they were disqualified from the championship. McLaren carried that speed into 2008 and was still also imo the best car, Kovalainen was just that bad in the race.
Anybody saying any car other than the Mercedes was the best car between the years 2014-2021 are having an absolute laugh though. 2018 Merc was dominant, winning 11 times to Ferrari's 6 and handily won the constructors despite Bottas sacrificing his race every time weekend by going long and blocking the Ferrari strategies. Mercedes made Bottas look like an absolute mug all year long.
the 2018 Ferrari should've won that season, I don't know if you remember but Vettel was leading the championship by Monaco, Ferrari was leading by Monaco, Mercedes were still Mercedes but they had a real challenger on their hands.
What fucked up Ferrari in 2018 was not the car, it was the drivers in Vettel's fuck ups especially seen in Germany, Raikkonen's lack of pace in comparison to Seb, and team's overall incompetence that lead to a lot of the staff being changed for 2019 including the introduction of Binotto, 2018 was both the season where Ferrari could've done it, and the season that made them a joke.
Quite sure they had the best car during 2007-8
Spygate wouldn't be a thing if McLaren concluded they had the better car
Agreed. For the McLaren to be better, or even for the cars to be equal, then that means Felipe Massa was performing equal to or better than Lewis Hamilton. And while I agree that on his day, Massa could be unbeatable - I do not believe that over the course of a season Massa was ever on the same level as Hamilton (even in his first 2 seasons)
I've always maintained Kimi underperforming made the Ferrari look worse than it was and made Massa look better than he was. Glad he got his title though
Schumacher would have steamrolled the whole lot of them
I would not say the best. Those years are still worth mentioning in anycase. The cars where very close to equal, and can be argued either way.
Yeah, until FIA killed their season, to save mersedes face after fuckup...making RB champions at the same time
Half of that was themselves killing their season. Leclerc lost almost 150 points to f*ckups (including engine blowups) in the first half of the season alone.
EDIT: Thanks for 50 upvotes. Decided to do a quick count to back up my statement. First 13 rounds before Spa TD.
This is obviously alternate reality guesswork of course, but by the above count, LEC lost 106-160 points unnecessarily before the TD came into effect at Spa, in which he also handed Verstappen 17-31 points.
Championship standings without Ferrari/LEC fuckups before Spa. Verstappen: From 454 to 423-437 Leclerc: From 308 to 414-468 points.
Red Bulls had some fuckups of their own too of course, but this could have been an actual championship battle to the end.
