Pocket cast, you won't find any better than this.

No ever recommend it but Google podcasts has been my go to for years. Very minimal and just works.

STAY AWAY FROM GOOGLE'S PODCASTS APP... it has got the most stupid thing they've every developed.

I have been using Podcast Addict for years and it works fine and is updated frequently. I paid a small fee to remove ads. 

Podcast Addict. Free version has a small ad banner but can be permanently removed by paying a few dollars.

I use Pocketcasts. Good UI in my opinion and plenty of options across the board from downloads to option notifications for specific podcasts to multi device listening if you opt for premium.

AntennaPod is aswome it can even sync your lists to gpodder

Podcast Republic is excellent, very feature rich and configurable, and it's actively supported by the dev.

I've tried many, and settled on Pocket Cast.

Antennapod, i like google podcast looks more but it can't auto-download new episodes :(

Pocket cast for a really long time, also paid for it and had features I use, plus great design!

Pocketcasts is solid, but there's a new app called CASTN that I've been using for the past few weeks. It's beautiful and simple and the dev is incredibly responsive. I suggested headphone controls be implemented and he applied them the next day. Worth checking out, it's definitely a Pocketcasts competitor.

I'm still using Pocket Cast. Every time I try switching to another podcast app, I end up staying with Pocket Cast.

The only improvements I hope they bring to the app are better episode searching and bringing back free access to the web player.

After trying dozens of apps, pocket casts is easily the best.

This is the best one. I’m used Beyond Pod for a long time even after it was abandoned due to habit. I should have jumped to PocketCasts sooner.

I use this one. It allows you to customize individual podcasts by automatically skipping the beginning and end, boost the volume, playback speed, etc.

This is the one. Free and open source. No ads, no telemtry.

This is the one I like..free, open source, just works!

Love antennapod. Simple. No frills. Easy to use.

I use YouTube music.

Other suggestions are good, too, but this is what I gravitated to after trying them all. Also, your podcasts are now available on Web if you want to sync and listen to your podcasts when away from your mobile devices.

I use the free version of Pocketcasts. Can't say I've ever noticed any ads. Antenna pod is good too and ad free.

Try onlypodcasts app, it was build as replacement for google podcasts
it is completely free, no ads, has good resuming so it always remember where you finished and also hides what you already listened
