I got The Comfy from Costco a couple years ago--not technically a robe, but pretty majestic 10/10 comfort level.

I was recently in ll bean and their robes caught my attention. Theyre really nice. The Sherpa lined flannels are my favorite, but maybe not the best choice if you’re actually using it as a bath robe.

Totally agree with this. Soooo warm. They deliver very quickly too. Only thing is if you don't have a dryer they are a bugger to get dry after you wash them and they do get dirty very easily. But honestly, you can live in them for a whole weekend!

I've had multiples of them bought for me over the years, all ended up in charity shops as they're not something I want. I'm perfectly comfortable going from our bedroom to the bathroom naked in our own house. I'll throw on pyjama bottoms and a t-shirt if we have guests or are in someone else's place.

make sure it's not fleece. Cotton. Thick. Long.

The first question I'd ask, is he a robe guy? I have to share this article. I read it about once a year. It will give you some recs, make you laugh, but unpack if he's a robe guy. I, for one, am not.

Also, I saw a shout out to the brand Reigning Champ and I have to second it simply because it's one of my favs. The robes look a little boxer-esque and not waffle but if you want a hoodie, it's THE hoody. Get him a lightweight one in black. The interior has this waffle like texture. It's what I wear every morning but I'm like the guy in the article and not a robe guy.

I was staying at a W hotel once, tried on the robe, then immediately went online and ordered one for my home. I love that thing.

So I'm kind of a robe aficionado. The key for me is having two. Mine current ones are both Brooklinen. Way more budget friendly. I have the thick super plush for cold mornings and the dreamweave waffle for summer.

I like the plush Lands End versions too but I find them almost too heavy.

There is a company that makes men's big and tall called King's Size. They have super huge thick robes. That is what I got.

Another thing that helps- wear a tight swimsuit. The baggy board shorts type get cold and clingy. Or wear nothing at all 😉

My daughter got me this for last Christmas. It is the most amazing robe I've ever had. And the sleeves are cuffed like a jacket so it's not like they are flopping all around. Work in it most days in the winter (like today)
