Lands' End offers both fleece and terry cloth robes, which have been noted for their durability and comfort over the years
[1:4],
[3:3]. For those looking for something more budget-friendly, Walmart's Secret Treasures line offers cozy robes at a lower price point

Material Preferences
The material of the robe can greatly affect comfort and usability. For those preferring towel-like materials, Ikea's unisex robes made from actual towel material are highly recommended [1:1]. If you're looking for lightweight options, SIORO on Amazon has cotton robes that are ideal for travel

Hey all! I have been on the hunt for a cozy bathrobe that actually wraps around me. I wear a US 20. I have been looking online for a while but wanted to see if I could source some opinions here!
Towel selections Turkish cotton robe on Amazon. I’m an 18 and bought an XL. Comes in tons of colors and super cozy.
Woman Within is my go to for things like robes. Good quality, good selection and good prices when stuff is on sale, which is most of the time.
Love them for robes and nightgowns. I have a silky one that come in 2 packs love them. I have like 10 so they are always clean and lovely. I get them super big because I want them to be free flowing.
I have a Lands End fleece robe that my mom sent me in 2000, when I was living in a flat abroad with no central heating. I'm pretty sure it saved my life that winter! It's still in lovely condition. I was probably a 22/24 at the time, and a women's XL fit perfect. And Lands End usually has excellent sales. Good luck!
I honestly love my robe from Walmart. It’s so cozy, comfy, and was only about $20
didn’t even think to look there. thank you!
Decent quality too, I’ve had mine for about two years now and she’s still in commission. And I wear it, A LOT. Good luck!
So I'm a size 18/20 (big chest and shoulders) and my favorite robes are the unisex ones from Ikea. They are actual towel material and cozy. I get the XL, the biggest size they have. They actually dry you off and I lounge in them in the winter ❤️
great! thank you!
I go to the pool a lot in the summer and I always was envious of people who could just casually wrap a normal towel around their waist and tuck it in when they were in their swimsuit. My waist circumference is too wide to do that with a normal towel.
I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner but I went out and bought me an oversized towel, the dimensions were 40 inches by 80 inches. It's heavy because it's so large but even at my largest (5x bottom) it easily wrapped around my waist and tucked in. I even used it at home coming out of the shower. Though now that I'm a size 2x-3x it's a bit large and I might look to downsize, but still to one that's bigger than normal size.
Which leads to my bonus question: anyone have a light-weight summer robe for plus-sized bodies they can recommend? I'm a size 2x-3x bottom though 1x-2x top.
I bought this kimono/robe from Amazon and I like it a lot.
Applesauce - 838B - Plus Size... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KHX43VJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
How tall are you? I am 5'3" and suspect I'd have to hem it and I suck at hemming.
Edit: Found a review that said it hit ankles on a 5'2" person. A little longer than I like but not tripping length.
I saw your edit and wanted to confirm. I am 5’7” and the hem of this robe is a solid 6-7” from hitting the floor.
SIORO brand sleepwear on Amazon. Bought a cotton lightweight shorty robe for travel. I’m 5’ 1” so it’s not that short on me.
Citychiconline.com always has great nighty robes
Where did you buy the towel? I have been hunting for a towel that size for my mom and can't find any!
Search for '40x80 towel' on Amazon and there are multiple brands of them. This is the one I got but there are other brands too.
Turkish beach towels at Bed Bath & Beyond measure 72" L x 40" W and are much lighter in weight.
As far as robes, I love Natori
Hi! I would really love a nice bathrobe but all of the ones I have ever owned were not comfy or didn't close all the way around my tummy. Any suggestions?
I’m a size 2X I ordered from here and was really cute . https://www.etsy.com/shop/YesYesBaby
I have a nice cotton one from Lands' End, the sticker price is like $80 or something but I got mine for about $30, you just have to keep an eye out for sales. It's super soft and comfy. They also make terry cloth ones and go up to a 3x which I think is a 24-26.
Thank you so much! I'll check it out, if I'm lucky they still have a labor day sale
Sorry to self promote! But we have some great robes in extended sizing :)
I was hoping someone here might have a recommendation for a nice, inexpensive robe. I’m looking for a non-fuzzy or fleecy material, more of a Terry/cotton or waffle knit texture. Also hoping to keep it around $50 or less but willing to pay more for the right thing. I’ve googled over and over again and can’t seem to find a good match. For reference I am about a US size 22 or 2x typically. Thank you in advance!
I recently bought this one and love it. Lightweight, breathable, and it has pockets. It's got a tie for the inside as well as the main tie so the inside "flap" doesn't fall open. It is more of a stretchy/jersey kinda material though, not waffle or Terry.

Chrissy Tiegan's website has cute bathrobes that go up to size 24. I know they are more money than what you're looking to spend, but figured it was worth a mention. There is a 10% off for new customers. The mini robes are much less than a full length.

Surprisingly croft and barrow brand from Kohl's makes a nice plus waffle knit robe. I have mine in a powder blue as a 3X/26
I’m 5’11 and 304 for reference, pants size 24. I’m also open to a good plus size towel, although I don’t have a lot to spend for either.
Girl the bath robes at Walmart are bomb and under $30 bucks, super soft and cute prints. I think the brand is secret treasures
I bought some “ bath sheets” (super large towels) at Walmart a few years back. They’re really plush. I think they were $11 each and they’ve held up!
Adore me, they have big fluffy ones and jersey fabric ones. (:
Ikea bath sheets
Hi! I can’t speak on a bath robe but Nate Berkus bath sheets from target are great and they’re actually on sale today! I just saw that when I was looking them up and am about to buy 2 more lol. Actually if you just look up bath sheets they’re bigger than normal towels and a lot of brands carry them in different price points. Changed my life.
You guys, if you haven’t already, 15/10 recommend investing in the Skims Cozy Knit Robe. Everything from the colour to the quality of the fabric to the comfort & coziness is just perfection!
??
You paid $130 for polyester/nylon (plastic) congratulations. See how your dream robe holds up after a couple washes lol

the CLOSET of my dreams!
Looks so comfy!!! I’m also obsessed with ur walk in closet😻😻😻
Ahh thank you!! 🥰& yes it’s just as comfy as it looks!
Omggggg this looks soooo luxuriously comfy!! And the color is adorable! Love it 😍
Love this robe but mad it’s not the same as the other robe in sizing. I highly recommend sizing down 😭 but now it’s all sold out.
I stayed a hotel with my significant other, and even if just barely, I was able to use the one size fits most robe!
Nice NSV. I know you feel so much better, way to go!
Oh I feel this! Cant wait to try it out too! Congrats!!! That is a big win!
Way to goooooooooo! 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!
No way! That robe didn't even fit when I was a teenager 😅
Just a PSA, this isn’t a robe meant for tall people. Shorter sleeves are ok but the length below the bum is downright scandalous for me at 6’!
Ugh. The robe struggle for tall girls
Pinkblush has a couple midi robes that are longer and perfect for covering everything, if you're looking!
There’s a longer version! I got it as a gift and don’t see it online, but in store you might be able to find the longer one. I’m not tall, but it comes down to mid-calf on me, so it should work on a tall person.
I’ve been camped on ASOS tall section for 6 months watching for tall robes! Due this summer, hoping one pops up before then!
The pajamas by that brand are EVERYTHING! I have 3 sets, two long sleeve sets with pants and a short sleeve set with shorts. Super soft, comfortable in all seasons, retains shape and color after multiple washes...My husband loves them and wants some too lol. I have to find him the male equivalent. I will definitely add the robe to my to buy list.
YES! I have the set with short sleeves and shorts, and they are by far my comfiest pjs. I keep meaning to buy more, lol
That's good to know! I've never really been a pj set- type person, but I think I'll give them a shot!
I second this!! I was never a pj person before having my first, but I’ve basically lived in the stars above pj sets since my daughter was born (18 months ago)! They have held up awesome!
Don’t robes that length hike up with the pregnancy bump? I have a few ‘knee-length’ robes that barely cover my butt now because of the bump. And I’m not even a tall person!
I recently bought a robe that goes to my ankles, and it’s much more suitable with my bump
I got this one as well! It's shorter than my ideal (I'm 5'8" and it falls a decent way above my knee), but it's so comfy I've decided to forgive it.
You look absolutely stunning!! 😍❤️🩷
Looks amazing ❣️
Love this ♥️
You look amazing!!
I want to get these for a little surprise for hubby and I on our December cruise but is it worth it? Are the robes plus size friendly? Also the slippers what size are they? Cause it says one size fits all..?
They usually have robes and slippers in the rooms to use. The slippers are pretty terrible. Robes are ok if you’re skinny.
Do people wear robes around the ship?
I wore robe/slippers going from pool to room sometimes.
We did, because we dont care what we look like and I like putting the robe on when I've finished with the pool
But we were definitely outliers.
I have seen people wearing them over their swimsuits, even in the buffet.
No, never seen that. Wear in your room, or on your balcony.
We just got off a Celeb cruise (balcony room) and we thought we remembered much nicer robes (waffle fabric) but maybe that's another line we've been on.
The robes in our room were ... meh. Better than nothing but certainly nothing cushy or luxurious.
Your cruise ship will come with slippers and online in the disembarkation page. It says that you are allowed to take the slippers home with you so I would not recommend buying them.
The slippers are awful. Super thin, super cheap. Worth $1.00. I got them for free, I used them when my daughter was in the hospital and I was staying with her. Then I could toss them in the trash after the hospital stay.
Hard no. 🤣😅
Take half the money, set it on fire, and put the other half back in your pocket. You’ll come out ahead.

Key Considerations for Plus Size Robes:
Size and Fit: Look for brands that specifically cater to plus sizes. Ensure the robe has a comfortable fit without being too tight or restrictive.
