Fala pessoal. Tudo bem?

Meu amigo quer levar a garota que ele gosta pra comer sushi, mas é só um universitário que não ganha tanto.

Poderiam recomendar algum lugar com sushi bom, mas que não seja os olhos da cara?

(E que não seja dentro de shopping

Obrigada!

Best Sushi

My wife and I are moving from Carmel to the North Side of Fort Wayne this summer. We both love sushi and have tried a couple places up there but still haven’t found “the one”. What is the best Sushi place in the area?

Fort Wayne actually is spoiled for choice when it comes to sushi! You can find pretty great sushi all over. Asakusa is great! We have a small place nearby called kyoto that’s good. Saisaki downtown is great too!

25 upvotes on reddit
Laidbackstog · 1 year ago

Second Saisaki! That place is amazing and perfect for a quiet date night or sit at the bar with friends. Myself and friend group all agree they have the best crab Rangoon.

6 upvotes on reddit
buffbitch88 · 1 year ago

Asakusa is the best. They have been around the longest, have the best atmosphere, and amazing sushi and rolls. I know a lot of people on here are saying Haru Izakaya, but I was really disappointed with the dining room. It smelled like a strong cleaner and the tables/lighting are like that of a food court. It was very off putting when I was hoping to have a nice dinner out with friends.

beerdudebrah · 1 year ago

Had a few homies recommend it and I was worried because the location wasn't promising. One of the best sake selections in town, they actually have special cuts of sushi for daily/weekly specials instead of just special rolls like most joints. Kind of a weird sushi bar/ramen bar/sports bar crossover but the service is top notch and the sushi is even better.

Haru Sushi Izakaya is definitely the best in town

Don't sleep on the spicy tuna crispy rice appetizer, probably the best thing I've had and that's saying a lot considering how great everything else is there.

I used to be 100% Asakusa and I still love their sushi, but lately I've been getting rolls from Nori on Dupont. Either of those two would be my recommendation.

I agree, i feel bad saying this but last time i went everything was imitation crab and the different sushi I ordered all tasted the same. I left so disappointed especially because I got the same advice that this place is great but I did not feel that way at all.

So Gina’s is all you can eat, pretty good for the price but busy. The older bartender there, Ryan I think, he is amazing and will make you any drink you could possibly want and it’ll be great. Kumo is great for Hibachi and sushi, a little pricey but really good. Mr Mees is always fast, good sushi and it serves Thai iced tea which the others do not.

Kumo off Six Mile is pretty inexpensive. My wife and I usually prefer Rock'n Sushi in Gateway though.

I personally like White Tree! I don't know if it's the best in terms of the quality of the actual sushi because I haven't tried every sushi place but in terms of cost, what you get, and ease of getting there, it's the best to me. Suehiro or somewhere downtown like Jeju may be better but I won't go downtown unless I have to and Suehiro is on the other side of town. If you do go to White Tree, try the sweet potato roll!! I usually don't go for non fish rolls but it's so good I never miss it when I go!

6 upvotes on reddit
ThePowerFul · 5 years ago

We have done a ton of sushi around town, but White Tree really surprised me with cost and quality and they have some pretty wild, off the wall rolls that are fun to get and share.

Jaws is great too!

Nimo’s hands down. It is traditional, no bullshit sushi. If you want a bunch of fruit and cream cheese and fancy rolls, this is not your place. If your a purist and want simple, authentic and high quality sushi, Nimo’s is far and away the best in town.

Umi on Jefferson for atmosphere. Sushi is solid, but doesn't quite live up to the price and atmosphere imo. My overall favorite is Asakusa on Lima: nice atmosphere, great service, and best sushi. Love their clear soup too.

What's up with Sushi Plus?

Posted by QuentonV-87 · in r/FortCollins · 3 years ago

The last 3 times I've tried to eat there, they've been closed on days they were supposed to be open. I made a $50 DoorDash order this morning, and I find out 15 minutes before it was supposed to be delivered that it was cancelled, and now it says Sushi Plus is temporarily closed.

Is this business still in operation? I haven't seen anything saying that they've shut down completely or gone out of business. This place is the best sushi I've had in town, and I'd be really sad to see them go under.

Any suggestions for another great sushi place in Fort Collins?

(And don't say Suehiro, that place is disgusting. You get better sushi from King Soopers.)

I miss the original Suehiro, where the Jaws team came from. I had been a customer since the 90s. Nimos was my go-to for years but the atmosphere changed dramatically (it was the most authentic feeling before the first remodel).

Jaws is now my favorite.

Mt Fuji is pretty good. I miss the original owners. Their kitchen is good, too. I've had food poisoning twice from JeJu over the years, and once from the new Suehiro, so they are both off my list.

I’ve only gone twice. First time it was amazing and we thought we found the sushi spot. 2nd time we got the service you were describing and we won’t go back. Took them 20 minutes to even take our order.

We asked for eel sauce on the side and they brought back something that clearly wasn’t eel sauce. Then when we asked them again they said they were low on eel sauce and couldn’t give us any. So they knew what they gave us wasn’t eel sauce they were just hoping we didn’t notice.
