What Redditors are Saying

When considering an e-bike suitable for someone who is 6'8" and has a preference for Specialized bikes, there are several factors to consider based on discussions from various users. Here's a detailed guide to help you make an informed decision:

Frame Size and Fit

For tall riders, finding the right frame size is crucial to ensure comfort and efficiency while riding. Many standard bike shops do not stock frames larger than 61cm, which can be problematic for individuals over 6'5" [2:1]. While some riders around 6'4" find 60-62 cm frames comfortable [2:2], those who are 6'8" or taller may need to look for XXL frames or consider custom options. Brands like Canyon offer XL and XXL sizes that might be more accommodating for very tall riders, but it's essential to test these sizes before purchasing if possible [2:5].

Specific E-Bike Recommendations

For riders around 6'8", certain models have been recommended by other tall users. The RadRover 6+ has been noted as a good fit for someone who is 6'6" [1:2], though the Radrunner models might feel small due to their design with smaller wheels and upright posture [1:5]. For those looking at road or gravel bikes, Trek's Emonda comes in a 64 cm frame, which might be suitable for someone up to 6'10" [2:12].

Custom and Specialty Options

For exceptionally tall riders, custom-built bikes or brands specializing in larger sizes may be necessary. DirtySixer is one such brand that creates bikes specifically designed for taller individuals, ranging from 5'9" to 7'5" [2:7]. However, these specialized bikes tend to be more expensive, so they should be considered an investment in comfort and long-term satisfaction.

Modifying Existing Bikes

If finding an off-the-shelf bike in your size proves challenging, another option is to purchase an XL frame and modify it to suit your needs [3:3]. This could involve adding a longer seat post or different stem to achieve a better fit. However, this approach may not always provide the same level of comfort and performance as a purpose-built tall bike [2:11].

Considerations Beyond the Discussions

While the discussions provide valuable insights, it's also essential to visit local bike shops and consult with professionals who can offer personalized advice. They may be able to order specific frames for you to try or suggest custom solutions. Additionally, consider your budget and whether you're willing to invest in a custom-built bike if necessary. If you're open to DIY solutions, building a bike tailored to your specifications could be a viable option, although it requires experience and careful planning to avoid costly mistakes [5:7].

Stake is one of the most popular safe ones. You could also try out Duel. If you live in the US, Stake has a sweepstake version of itself too.

Best US Online Poker: Reddit Users Recommend

Posted by qipufarajiyalwvtb8i · in r/Ender3V3SE · 2 months ago

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some advice on the best US online poker options out there. I’ve been itching to play poker online for real money, but as a US player it’s a bit confusing to figure out which site is the safest and most reliable online poker site for us in the United States. There are so many "top 10" lists on Google for best online poker sites USA (often with affiliate links), but I’d much rather hear from the Reddit community and real users’ experiences.

A bit of background: I used to play casually years ago (back in the day of PokerStars and Full Tilt before they got restricted here). Now in 2025, I want to get back into online poker. I know that fully legal online poker is only available in a few states (like New Jersey, Nevada, Pennsylvania, etc.), but I’m not in one of those states. That means I’ll likely be playing on one of the offshore online poker sites that accept US players. I’m aware many Americans play on these poker platforms even if they’re not officially “regulated” in the US. The poker laws are a bit complicated, but from what I understand, players aren’t usually targeted by law enforcement – still, I want to make sure I choose a safe and legit poker site where I won’t have issues depositing or withdrawing money.

What I’m looking for (my criteria):

  • Trustworthiness & Security: A trusted online poker site that has a good reputation among US players. I want to know my money and personal info are safe. (Heard horror stories of shady sites, so I’m cautious.)
  • Player Traffic & Games: The site should have a healthy number of players, especially during US hours. I mostly enjoy Texas Hold’em (both cash games and tournaments), so a poker room with plenty of real money games and maybe some Omaha or other variants would be awesome. Basically, I don’t want to sign up somewhere dead where it’s hard to find a table.
  • Bonuses & Promotions: Getting a nice welcome bonus or deposit match would be a sweet perk. Also ongoing promotions or freerolls would be cool – not a deal-breaker, but if multiple sites are good, might as well consider where I get extra value (like reload bonuses, loyalty rewards, etc.).
  • Withdrawals (Fast Payouts): This is super important. I’ve read on Reddit and elsewhere that some sites are slow or troublesome when it comes to cashing out your winnings. I’d prefer a site known for fast payouts and hassle-free withdrawals (and multiple payment options: e.g. credit card, PayPal, Bitcoin, bank transfer, etc., anything that works for US players).
  • Software & Mobile: A smooth user interface. I’ll be playing from my PC mostly, but having a decent mobile poker app or mobile-friendly site is a big plus since sometimes I like to play on my phone. I care about stability (hate disconnections) and overall user experience.
  • Competition Level: I’m no pro, more of a serious recreational player. I don’t mind a challenge, but I also don’t want to jump into a site that’s full of only hardcore grinders if possible. If you have thoughts on which poker sites have softer competition or a good mix of skill levels, let me know.
  • Community & Features: Things like a good loyalty program/VIP rewards, or maybe the ability to track your stats, use HUDs (if allowed), etc. Not essential, but I’m curious if any site’s community or features stand out (like club games, home games, etc.).

So basically, what are the best online poker sites for US players right now? If you have experience playing on any US-friendly online poker platforms, I’d love to hear your recommendations and why you like them (or warnings if there are ones to avoid!). Some names float around a lot in other threads, but I’d rather not just trust random advertisements. Personal experiences or insights from fellow Redditors would be golden.

A few extra thoughts/questions I have:

  • Legitimacy: How do you personally decide a poker site is trustworthy? Is it just word of mouth on forums/Reddit, or are there licenses/certifications I should look for even if they’re offshore? I really want to avoid any scam sites.
  • Traffic by game type: Do certain sites have better tournament action versus cash games? I enjoy both, so if one site is known as best for tournaments and another is better for cash, that’s useful info too (though I’d prefer one place that has it all).
  • US Cash Out Experience: If you’ve cashed out as a US player, how was the process? (e.g., did you use crypto for withdrawal to get it faster, or do bank withdrawals/cheques work reliably?)
  • Any state-specific tips: I’m not in a regulated state, but if anyone from NJ/PA/etc. has insight on their regulated sites vs the offshore ones, feel free to share. I’m curious how they compare, even though I can’t play on the state-licensed ones where I live.

I really appreciate any help or suggestions! Reddit users’ recommendations carry a lot more weight for me than generic Google searches or ads. If you’ve found a great online poker site as a US player, let me (and others who might read this) know which one and what makes it the best in your opinion. Likewise, warnings about sites to stay away from are just as welcome.

Thanks in advance, and good luck at the tables!

Where should I play online poker?

I have just recently started learning and studying poker after years of just playing house games. I live in the US so I’m having a hard time finding a way to effectively practice and play since apps like WSOP are nothing like real games.

Your best choices are Global Poker, Ignition, or ACR.

Global accepts card and bank deposits and it is the softest site. However, no hand histories, HUDs, and high rake.

Ignition is also very soft but they are crypto only deposits and withdrawals. They are also anonymous so you can't use HUD stats to make exploitative plays as often.

ACR accepts credit card deposits and you can cash out by check. They are the hardest site Americans have access too if you want to play cash games. They are the best for tournaments though as they have the largest fields. Full disclosure: I am an ACR affiliate and I get a little kickback if you sign up with my link. You also get a better sign up bonus plus 27% rakeback.

Dont use Bovada or related sites like ignition.

Its incredibly difficult to prove without the source code but there has to be some type of fuckery involving their poker action.

I understand poker being poker, but the action on that website is suspicious.

For example:

I called 3 bet with jack 7 of diamonds in button. Flop comes all diamonds with one Ace.

Villain with Ace King no diamonds gets it all in with me and the turn and river come King Ace to beat my flush.

Instances like that happen way too often on Bovada.

I just don’t understand why an established online casino like bovada or ignition would do this & ruin guaranteed profits? They are collecting drops with no dealers or much overhead…?

1 upvotes on reddit
CantReadRoom · 2 years ago

I think either their runouts are designed to create more action for more rake, or they give wins to losing players to keep them coming back.

My guess is they give wins to losing players.

Most players in the Us and Austria play on Ignition Casino which is great because everyone is anonymous on the poker tables making it less easy for someone to use poker tracking software on you . As far as getting paid you can get the money back in your account almost instantly with crypto or wait a week for a check to come in the mail . You’re good it’s not illegal because the bank is overseas and it’s not illegal to play in the states it’s just illegal for an American bank to issue gambling winnings online. If you have any questions ask away and if you want to play ok there I can get you a bonus code that’ll give yah 100% match up to 100

How does cashing out work on these sites? Do they just ask for ID or do they make you take a live pic and a sperm sample?

1 upvotes on reddit
jetpacmozi · 3 years ago

You use bitcoin to withdrawal and it’s almost instant and most sites let you withdrawal unlimited amounts at a time . The only verification I’ve had to do was 2 step verification with my number right before withdrawal.

1 upvotes on reddit
jetpacmozi · 3 years ago

That’s the easiest way but you can also do money wire or check but it takes days to get your money that way and typically more fees and extra verification. But with Bitcoin it’s almost instant money in the account 10 mins or less with less fees

Personally I like Global Poker now. Ignition/Bovada are fine. ACR is the toughest but has some significant perks for regs.

WPTGold will have public cash games soon. Right now it’s just tournaments unless you sign up with a promo code.

I believe there’s also BetOnline and CoinPoker. I’m not familiar with these websites.

Safe websites to play poker online

Key Considerations for Safe Online Poker Sites:

  1. Licensing and Regulation: Ensure the site is licensed by a reputable authority (e.g., Malta Gaming Authority, UK Gambling Commission). This ensures the site adheres to strict regulations.

  2. Security Measures: Look for sites that use SSL encryption to protect your personal and financial information. Check for secure payment methods.

  3. Reputation and Reviews: Research player reviews and ratings on forums or review sites to gauge the site's reputation. Established sites with positive feedback are generally safer.

  4. Game Variety and Software Quality: Choose sites that offer a variety of poker games and use reliable software providers, ensuring a smooth and fair gaming experience.

  5. Customer Support: Opt for sites with responsive customer support options (live chat, email, phone) to assist with any issues that may arise.

Recommended Safe Poker Sites:

  • PokerStars: One of the largest and most reputable online poker sites, known for its wide variety of games and strong security measures.

  • 888poker: Offers a user-friendly interface, a good selection of games, and is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.

  • PartyPoker: Well-established with a solid reputation, offering various promotions and a secure environment.

  • WSOP.com: Associated with the World Series of Poker, it provides a trustworthy platform for players in regulated states.

Final Tip: Always read the terms and conditions before signing up, and consider starting with smaller stakes to familiarize yourself with the platform.
