Mangadex
Mangadex is frequently recommended as one of the best platforms for reading manga online. It is popular among the community because scanlators often post their scans immediately after translation, and it hosts a wide variety of manga, manhwa, and manhua [1:2]
[2:1]. The site is free and does not have ads, making it a user-friendly option
[3:3].
Comick
Comick is another well-regarded platform with a large library of comics, including official scans and works from popular scan groups [1:1]
[4:1]. It has multiple domains, such as comick.fun and comick.app, which offer similar services
[1:10].
Mangakakalot and Mangareader
Mangakakalot is mentioned as a good alternative for accessing a wide range of manga titles [2:1]. Mangareader is also suggested, although some users note that it may not handle manhwa as well
[2:2].
Other Resources
For those looking for more options, websites like anigliscans.com provide a decent collection of manga [5:1]. Additionally, resources such as reallyneedcash.com offer comprehensive lists of sites where manga can be read
[1:3].
Apps and Browsers
Some users prefer using apps or specific browsers for reading manga. For example, NovelReader is noted as a solid and free option [3:5]. Using Brave browser to access sites like mangaread.org is another suggestion for iPhone users
[3:1].
These platforms and resources provide a variety of options for reading manga online, catering to different preferences and needs. Whether you're looking for a broad selection, ad-free experience, or app-based reading, there's likely a suitable option available.
I’m very new to reading manga, and while I would like to have physical books, I don’t have the money nor the room for volumes at the moment.
I’m wondering, where online is the best place to read manga. I have found a couple random websites for the choice reads that I have looked for, but I’m wondering if there are any websites that I can find where there is a large collection of manga that can be found. If not, what are some of the best websites that can be used in conjunction with each other to provide most mainstream manga.
Also, if there is somewhere I could potentially download manga and that is a better option than just looking on the websites, I am able to do that as well.
Any other advice is appreciated as I don’t really know much about where to find or read manga, so all advice is helpful.
The best place that is currently popular among the community is mangadex.org. Scanulators usually post their scans onto it immediately after it’s translated, and the site holds manga, manwha, and also manhua.
True but for first chapters it sometimes doesn't have the translation in english, which is weird
I usually read in portuguese there
Mangadex is ah
Bro what mangadex is goated
Edit: Here's a resource for full list of sites
https://reallyneedcash.com/free-manga-sites/
well, you can try mangapill or mangafire
Tachiyomi was a perfect site but it sadly got deleted
Can mihon be downloaded on iphone?
Usually on the home page it'll be showing whatever updated last, so if a scanlation group that TLs to Spanish uploaded recently then it would show. If you don't want to see that just go into the options and filter English only.
You should try to visit: https://comick.fun
One of the largest comic libraries. You can find official scans or comics from popular scan groups.
Hi there, it seems that the domain has been moved to a different address. Do you have the new one?
check https://comick.cc
It says the website is moved
Hi all,
I was wondering where I can read manga online? I'm looking to continue reading Haikyu and Dragon Ball, but dont know where to go.
Thank you!
i use Mangareader app to read manga but manwha seems bit messed on it. It has not every manga but has enough.
Okay, thank you for sharing, its nice to have an app for it. Thanks!
Mangadex and mangakaklot will get you just about everything. There are apps, but I dunno anyone who actually uses them.
Thank you very much for the information, I will commence my reading!
Most people recommend mangadex.org . I personally use mangakakalot with my chrome browser and some people use apps but I don’t know their names.
Awesome, thank you!!!
Hi, i used to read martial peak years ago and now I want to start again but I cant find a good place to read it. I’m using an iPhone so i need either an website or an ios app.
I read it at NatoManga, it’s annoying since there’s a popup when you go to a new chapter, but I have to get to 500 first to then I can go to Manhuaplus
Mangadex.org has no adds and is free. Works great on safari
Manhuaplus
NovelReader is solid and free
Use brave and go to mangaread.org
Does anyone know a website that I can use to read mange on??
Official sites: https://wherecanireadmanga.com/
Online scanlations: https://mangadex.org/
Thanks
Google it
I like to imagine the people who post very easily googleable questions have just awoken from a 15 year long coma
Try one of the best manga sites: https://comick.app

You can try anigliscans they got some decent collection of mangas
Edit : I have been enlightened thank you for the recommendation.
About 90% of this sub's chapter submissions come from MangaDex.org.
Mangadex.org
take 0.5 seconds to see what 90% of chapter threads in this sub link to and you'll see what the best site is.
Thanks.
I just came on here to ask a quick question, I didnt really bother to read other posts
Scroll down the subreddit
I used to read Mangas and Manhwas in MangaKakalot but seems like it's not there anymore. One of my greatest pleasures of reading is the comment section talking dumb shit about the chapter I just read. I don't see any active comment section in the pirated sites I found so I want to ask where I can find a manga site with active community?
Mihon and it's other forks, using website to read in 2025 is just risky move at this point because you could lose all your bookmarks and history, just not worth it, but if you use mihon and the source you were using to get your manga from got shutdown, all you need to do is just migrate them to another source, and just like that you're good to go like nothing ever happened.
Let say I have a lot of bookmark in mangakakalot and mangadex how do I migrate them to mihon? Or do I have to search them all and bookmark them 1-by-1?
I don't think mihon has a mass migration yet but ok some other forks do.
I use Hakuneko. They source manga/manhwa and titles on Manta comics from a list of online websites. You can read while online or download for offline reading.
Edit: missed "and titles on Manta Comics"
What's manta?
Ahhh I was typing while distracted. I meant to say "manga/manhwa and titles found on Manta Comics". I don't think manta on its own stands for anything else.
Hasn't been updated since 2020?
On Android download Mihon app the successor of Tachiyomi and its repos
It works for you? It's like a bad version of tachiyomy
I agree soi I've been using komikku, it's awesome
It's literally the same, if it's not to your liking, there are forks available, most people use the forked versions, just better. A lot of people were stressed after losing their library from the magadex dmca, but if you're mihon user, just migrate your stuff to another source, done, it's like you never lost a thing.
I very much prefer kotatsu
I want to read manga/manhwa(s) But I don't know where I can read them for free... Also.. Is there a way to read'em offline too? Like downloading...

where to read manga
Key Considerations for Reading Manga:
Official Sources: Always try to support official publishers to ensure creators are compensated. Look for platforms that offer licensed content.
Formats Available: Consider whether you prefer reading digitally or in print. Digital platforms often have a wider selection and immediate access.
Subscription Services vs. Pay-Per-Volume: Some platforms offer subscription models (like Shonen Jump or Crunchyroll Manga) for unlimited access, while others may charge per volume.
User Interface and Experience: Choose a platform that is easy to navigate and offers features like bookmarks, offline reading, and customizable reading settings.
Library Access: Many local libraries offer digital manga through services like OverDrive or Hoopla, which can be a great free option.
Recommended Platforms:
VIZ Media/Shonen Jump: Offers a large selection of popular titles and a subscription model for unlimited access.
Crunchyroll Manga: Great for fans of anime and manga, providing access to many series simultaneously with their anime releases.
Manga Plus: A free service by Shueisha that provides access to many popular titles, often with simultaneous releases.
ComiXology: A digital comics platform that includes a variety of manga titles, available for purchase.
Bookwalker: A digital bookstore specializing in manga and light novels, often with discounts and promotions.
By choosing official sources, you not only enjoy high-quality content but also support the manga industry and its creators.
