You finished Questism, so I assume you liked the way the story progresses of how some school fights end up being a gang war to take over areas. Now in Lookism, increase the scale by a lot. Not just limiting to south korea but all over the world. Even though the starting can be a bit generic type, just stick to it. In Lookism, the focus of story changes a lot. Like the focus won't always be on mc but the side characters or even the villains. My bad, there are no side characters in Lookism, just another main characters. After reading it, you will feel the importance of various plots, Who even is Johan Seong, what was God Dog. How big of a fool was Choyun to think he will beat Johan. Again, it will seem that mc is too stagnant or coward but just stick to it. You will get your time's worth.

Lookism started out as more of a social commentary that has layers of horror about everyday life from the perspective of a dual protag in different bodies. Topics like bullying, cults, stalkers, gangs etc... are pretty much tackled. It eventually switched genres and toned down the social commentary and horror, it became more of a fighting gang manhwa. Both types of stories are going to have their fans and I think it's worth reading.

But seeing how you liked questism I think you will also be able to like lookism

I know this'll be an unpopular opinion, but Lookism starts off great but falls off later in the story because it switches its focus to highschool gang fights, of which many Korean manhwa already have

It's good, try it, similar to questism

I would also recommend you try Reality Quest it's Questism but way better in every single aspect (plot, mysteries, world building, fights, art etc).

If you liked questism then you would like it as well,it's plot,art,character design everything is leagues above Questism,also it's more entertaining.

About lookism,the art is shit at first but it's goofy enough to be entertaining,it gets better later at around 150 chapters,then it keeps getting better chapter by chapter.

Watched it with my brother, it motivated him to read the manhwa which I think is what they wanted with the anime. Introduce the manhwa to an even bigger audience.

I believe the beginning of lookism is more slice of life than the other webtoon, but it would be presented as an action serie, I guess it is a problem. Adapting the webtoon until we totally get into gangism would take time and money. The fight are probably harder to adapt with the characters breaking walls and stuff, unless the other webtoon do the same.

Season 1 affected me a lot, honestly it felt like a limited series in itself. I cried for a good hour and a half at the finale episode

It’s called ‘netflix treatment’ it did perform well, but in tier 1 countries it did not, i am sure studio mir will eventually animate the second season someday but it is not happening this year since they are busy with dmc part 2.

I think it might start with bullying but it will eventualy end with gangism(gun woo looks like Jake imo)
