Alternative Brands and Styles
If you're looking for alternatives to Baggu bags, there are several options mentioned in the discussions. One user highlighted a faux leather bag by MacRae & Co available at Nordstrom Rack, which offers a similar aesthetic to some Baggu styles [1:3]. Another option is Hatzzi, which was noted for its design similarities to popular high-end brands but at a more accessible price point
[1:4].
Functional Alternatives for Specific Uses
For those using Baggu bags for specific purposes like travel toiletry bags, Trader Joe's mini lunchboxes were recommended as a practical alternative due to their easy-to-clean aluminum interior [2:1]. These lunchboxes are not only budget-friendly but also offer durability for carrying toiletries, making them a viable substitute for the more expensive Baggu makeup bags
[2:4].
Reusable and Sustainable Options
In terms of sustainable alternatives, the discussion around durable ziplock bag substitutes brought up Russbe reusable gallon bags, which are praised for their thickness and durability compared to other silicone options [4:1]. Additionally, Lewis bags made from canvas were suggested for tasks like crushing ice, offering a robust and eco-friendly solution
[4:3].
Community and Shopping Tips
For those interested in purchasing Baggu items or similar products, Nordstrom Rack was mentioned as a place where Baggu items can occasionally be found on sale [3:1]. However, it's important to note that the Baggu appreciation group on Facebook has received criticism for being overly strict with its rules, which might deter some users from participating

When exploring alternatives, consider what specific features you value most in a bag, such as material, size, style, or sustainability, and use these criteria to guide your search.
I get so many compliments on this bag, and it was about $14 AU!
Looks like this (faux leather) bag by MacRae & Co, carried at Nordstrom Rack. They have sold out of the black color but you can find it on google images.
From my Google lens results: Amazon or Hatzzi
I think it’s Hatzzi. The handle bar is attached closer to the flap and also bigger than the Amazon option. That matches OP’s photos much more closely!
I have this! I got it from amazon : https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/aw/d/B0CWV1JZTR?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image
The colour is ‘purple’ but it’s actually a lovely brown/ very dark burgundy.
$40 usd! Amazon says it’s a frequently returned item.
I’m surprised it’s so much cheaper in AUS!
I wonder if people who actually want a purple bag are disappointed when this one arrives.
I got one from SHEIN actually for an event once lol. It’s not real leather or amazing quality so I passed it onto a friend when I got a nicer actual Balenciaga (the matelasse!)
Longchamp and bottega need to collaborate and come up with a capsule collection
The "product description" section specifies faux leather. Amazon sellers love to stretch the truth as much as they can in the product listing title.
It's only been 'gently worn' and I just keep my phone, keys and lipgloss in it when I use it, but the quality is fine. Very soft, and fully lined.
I thought the same thing and you were right on the family lineage
This appears to be a combination of the Longchamp Le Pliage Xtra Mini Top Handle Bag.
But it is blended with the look of A Bottega panel as well
I can’t find that a major design house made it.
B33bench seemed to have found several links using Google image. It really does seem to be a blend knocking off both Bottega style and Longchamp shape. It probably won’t be around for a long time because logically it just seems like it would violate someone’s intellectual property.
Yup! I use it as a toiletry bag. Its not BAGGU but the trader joes mini lunchboxes make great toiletry bags too bc the aluminum inside is easier to clean than the regular BAGGU toiletry bags
I just did this for the first time!! I flew Allegiant so I could only have one bag (my cloud carryon) and I used the TJ’s mini lunch box for all my toiletries + skin care and it was so f’ing smart !! I will never use my makeup bag to travel again😂
Yay! The BAGGU make up bags are pretty but I feel like I'd use one for jewelry instead of makeup bc the interior doesn't look like it'd be fun to clean
Oooooh I have the TJ bags as well.... They might be bigger??
I'm not sure but I've been using a tjs lunch box for toiletries on trips and I feel less sad if makeup or shampoo residue gets on the $3.99 tjs than a 38$ BAGGU makeup bag
Never have, but I might now! Way easier to spot clean on the inside too 🤯
Exactly! If my moisturizer jar cracks or my toner bottle breaks, spray it down with a cleaner! 👍
A baggu baddie with big brain ideas 🙂↕️
I love Aruba Aloe. Going back l to Aruba again December ❤️❤️
Loooooove them!! Love their skincare products.... We just returned from Aruba last spring, and it was our repeat trip as well ❤️❤️
Omgggg aruba represent!! I lived there for 2 years and also loooveeeeee Aruba aloe 🔥
Thank you! Yeah, it's working great for me so wanted to share ❤️
You guys, Nordstrom Rack just posted new Baggu items on their website, and to top it off they’re on sale. It’s not a whole lot, but it’s more than what they had. Hope this helps someone get what they want😌
oooo i’ve been wanting the celestial go pouches, ty!
Yay! You’re welcome😊
Offe market has most of the same stuff
thanks for the heads up. that is quite a lot compared to other times they've had items online.
Exactly! I was so excited when I saw the other items lol🤭 you’re welcome😁
Oooh! Thanks for the heads up!
Of course!
Thank you😊
So I loveeee this way of making iced coffee. What I do is pour coffee into an ice cube tray, freeze in a ziplock bag, pop out the ice cubes, and use a hammer/rolling pin to smash the coffee cubes into pieces. Unfortunately, the crushing process rips the plastic bag and I quickly have to replace it. This is wasteful and I would love a more sustainable solution! Help?
Budget: Don't have one
Products tried: the "reusable silicone ziplock bag" on amazon. It's a big more durable but still not great and still rips
EDIT: so in case people are confused this is what I make: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMjWudBX7/
Get a canvas bag made for crushing ice. They’re called Lewis bags.
I have never heard of this, thanks for sharing. Might get a little gross with coffee but you could just throw it in the wash 🤷♀️
I'll order one and see how it goes thank you again
I know this is really old, but how did it work out for you? I’m considering getting a Lewis bag for ice I’ve made in my ice maker that when put in the freezer turns into a big blob of ice.
Something like this, maybe?
Yes someone else had that idea and I've ordered it!!! :)
Nice! Hope it works for ya! :)
I got the Russbe reusable gallon bags and haven’t had one puncture yet (I have had two of my Stasher silicone bags puncture). They feel more like normal ziplock bags but just very thick. I have way more confidence in crushing things in those.
But I agree with the other comment, it’s probably better to use a food processor. Or maybe even get an ice cube tray that has very small cubes.
I actually do use an ice cube tray that has the very small cubes. Unfortunately the problem persists. I also tried something similar to the back you described and while it definitely its thicker it did puncture :((
Someone suggested a canvas bag like thing - honestly that sounds like the best solution
Vitamix
buy once cry once
I got mine from a company called brandless. Almost as good as the Vitamix for about 1/3 the price. Does a great job crushing ice for drinks.
Huh! Another thing I've never heard of lol.
Do you have any brand recommendations? What's the one you use?
actually very much enjoyed this page when i first joined but as of late it’s been very annoying and the admins are very off putting. like are we here for the love of baggu or are we here to be overly controlling of everything?? anyways babes there are far better baggu group on fb :)
Every time I go on Facebook there's a new rule in that group 🫨 It drives me crazy. It's JUST A PAGE ABOUT BAGS. Also the mods are insane and lurk resell sites and this subreddit to try and kick members out. I take pics of my baggus all the time, but I'm so turned away from posting there. I stay for the drama but I can't even fathom it anymore. I can't believe how serious they take it.
i just left the group earlier because to me it’s not even worth it anymore. i feel like the admins pick and choose and it’s so draining. we are all supposed to be here to share our love of baggu and they ruin it lolol
Couldn't agree more about them ruining it. People shouldn't be policed to that extent in such a "positive and inclusive" Facebook group. Members shouldn't be afraid, nervous, or feel like they can't post something RELATED to the group. I will leave at some point but during this drama I am interested to see the downfall.
I keep getting myself riled up about the no leaks rule, and I'm annoyed with Baggu itself knowing that they're the ones that have asked the group not to post anything. The release is supposedly on February 1 and we have no actual confirmed information. So far all of the leaks show that there is a shit ton of new product. It feels like they just want everyone to panic and buy everything at once rather than plan what they want ahead of time. Idk, it rubs me the wrong way.
The whole leak situation was very strange to me. None of it made sense?? fine, we want to respect baggu and what not but the fact that almost everyone at this point has seen what’s coming then what’s the big deal?? we know they want us to buy so let us talk about it!!
And then where is the limit with respecting Baggu? Will it get to the point that no one can talk badly about it because the brand doesn't want it? Why are admins in direct contact with the brand?
Someone from the group said that Baggu didn’t ask them they just made the rule themselves so who knows I don’t trust the admins anymore . But I do trust the Baggu girls on TikTok because someone got their pr today and they said the new release is the 1st
that’s one thing that was crazy to me about the leaks because baggu tiktok talks lolol and i feel like tiktok gets so much more traction than facebook so the admins saying that baggu “asked them to remove leak posts” was so fishy because who cares?? if baggu really gave a shit then why is it so easy to find the whole collection online??
The group feels misleading; you’re given the impression that it’s a welcoming environment, the admins are open to suggestions and feedback, open to working things out…when in reality, a lot of people seem to have the opposite experience, a negative one. What a bummer
I was only in it for about a month, couldn’t believe how many rules and time people had on their hands to worry about bags lmao
omg the rules were wild 🫠🫠 literally felt like i was fighting for my life just trying to post something. tried to post about how i found a diso and was super excited to share and they immediately declined the post 🥲 like what do you want from me?? what rule am i breaking?!
Based on the downvotes to people’s comments she’s probably already here lurking 💀
Anyone else feeling like they see less and less of Baggu's reusables? I'm missing seeing all the old patterns especially. Post your beloved reusables pls!!
Yesss the reusables are my favorite product they make!! I very rarely need a new purse but I can always use another reusable bag. They make getting groceries fun for me!
I was just admiring my favourite reusables like an hour ago! I honestly cherish them lol
💖 love these prints sm
I love seeing them in the wild and on the subway! I’ve seen the newer prints more often but every now and then, there’s a random Met vase reusable or a market flower plaid that makes me do a double take
Omg seriously, the rare beauties in the wild 👀👀👀
they are still the brand’s superhero product imo. it kinda makes me sad to see the brand not extending their freshest/hyped solids and prints to this product line.
The reusables are definitely my favourite product that Baggu releases. They are just such a step up in quality compared to the typical reusable bag available. My friends and family would harp on me for spending so much on a reusable bag - until I gifted them all one for Christmas and they ALL changed their tune.
Such a pretty scene, I love flower passengers ☺️
I’ve been using a second hand duck bag for years but I finally bought a crescent for everyday carry and I love it!
love love your saguaro keychain!
yesss perfect keychain combo
This is my next bag on my list! 🤎 I have this color in the shoulder bag and its such a gorg color i need it in the crescent. Plus my shoulder bag is my only baggu bag besides the small cloud carry on so its really a necessity 🤷🏻♀️
So fun!!! Where is your cute green keychain from?
He’s my fuggler, and not sure? He was a bonus (gift) item. From something I got online. Thank you! =) he’s a weeee alien.
It's a fuggler keyring
Found a few at the Nordstrom Rack at MOA (for Minnesota folks…)
