My main.
no man [insert-your-main] is severly underpowered, one of the worst chars in the game, and needs substantial buffs across the board! b+1 full launch for Feng!
Your comment reminds of a playerbase who I see almost everywhere saying how she is the worst character, hardest character, needs buffs while constantly patting themselves on the back for playing her.
Imo Miguel jab should be a natural infinite combo onto more jabs otherwise this game is an unbalanced piece of shit.
People dont give him attention but this new dude leroy seems super good
steep execution and difficult gameplan though
Agree. He needs a buff.
The online net code.
Ryona
In terms of tournament play, probably Akuma or Leroy according to pros. Anywhere else, every character can win and every character can lose. You will never lose a game because of your character.
Bob, Nina, Asuka, and Alex.
oh my... Bob first 😳😅 i hate him lol. why? I'm very curious
I find him to be a good joke character and an interesting concept of “what if a fighter wasn’t buff and toned but was still good at fighting? ”
1.Leo
2.Yoshimitsu
:D
Why Leo? I Am curious
I find his moveset pretty fun and in general he is pretty fun for me Even more after i saw his potential in the recent twt
Alisa, Yoshi, Anna n zafina probably. I don't have many favs but I don't dislike a single tekken character
Wang Jinrei
incredible. very different, I also like the old man. we, his fans, are not many, unfortunately.
Sucks that they apparently killed him off in his T6 ending
I’m not going to sugarcoat it!
I hate and love how you can say that as a valid answer
Victor can drop that katana would be cool.
I was thinking the dame thing earlier today. If he dropped the katana, plus he had less teleporting moves/animations, he would be way more likeable to me.
Victor is a mish mash of Noctis+Kunimitsu, but I also saw some Soul Calibur in latest gameplay videos, where he has Setasuka moves and Mitsurugi stances
Glad so many people think this, I love me some high tech kitana blade cheesiness but I think he’d gel a bit more if he was just a suave old John Wick/Sam Fisher mix.
Yep, that's the part that annoys me the most about Victor. They had 90% of a fantastic character design, and then it feels like Harada asked his 9 year old nephew to come in and finish it off with some crayon.
The katana just looks goofy and seems out of place with the rest if the character.
Azucena’s design and personality could be a bit better, but I think she has the most unique fighting style I’ve seen in tekken in years. Her movement and counters are a lot of fun to watch and I’m excited to see if any top players use her in tourneys
design fine, personality is 100% bubbly coffee. I find her super meh/cringe for that reason.
Its not like Hwoarang only talks about motorcycles or Lily about tea. They actually have some depth
Completely agree with everything you said.
I get it that her fighting style is fun, but I absolutely cannot stand her hollow personality. Her whole "coffee this", "coffee that" persona is just so devoid of substance. Wished we had an in-game option to mute her.
I literally see Latin friends on a weekly basis and none of them sound as cringey or as irritating as Azucena when speaking in Spanish.
There are so many thematic swords they could have gone with. A Chevalier sword, as you said to go with his name that could have been an artifact from his ancestors. It could have been a Crusader sword for the same reasons, A Rapier for duelling if they wanted him to be quick, which clearly they did with him teleporting, A Musketeer sword, and he could also allow his two (or three) best students to carry them, It could even have been a modern french Naval officer's sword since he was in the navy.
But no, Laser katana. You'd think I'd be happy with a laser Katana, but it just doesn't fit. Especially since he trains bloody ninjas, not samurai.
or a motherfucking cane wouldve gone so much better with his design - i mean canne de combat was right there
Victor looks like a side character straight from Metal Gear Rising Revengeance
Reina. Simple, but very effective and appealing design. Her personality is unique...there is no other female character in the series similar to her. I love her voice, btw. Her combat style is cool and very unique too. No character in FGs uses Taido, so that alone makes her original.
Victor. Character design is very good. I think, it'd be better without the Katana. I love his personality, I think that the VA nailed it. His combat style is a little bit overdesigned. It is very flashy, tho.
Azucena: Character design is okay. She being on Kazuya's side makes her more interesting, in terms of personality. You never thought that a person like her could be a little evil. Her combat style is good. I like her dancing moves lol.
IMO Reina is, clearly, the best. Day one main for me. My only complain is her DF2, it needs to be nerfed.
Julia for defending the world from 6 Leroy's at once.
That was Mikio playing Julia.
Rangchu, Arslan, Lil Majin, they all gave us amazing moments in T7. But Mikio right there, fighting the Leroy tyranny with his Julia, that was my top T7 moment. Even if he didn't win, he won for me.

I have never seen hate towards Mokujin, I have always had a special affection for him
Ngl, whenever I saw a high level mokujin in previous Tekken, I knew I was in trouble. It took skill to play him. If I lost, it was nothing but respect for the player
I fear not the man who has practiced one character for 10,000 hours
I fear the man who has practiced every character for 10,000 hours
the devs hate him
bring back the 🐐 himself bamco
King and Yoshimitsu were undeniably huge draws in the arcade for Tekken 1 and 2. They're probably the most important characters to Tekken in terms of general public knowledge
I also think the animals like kuma were a big draw back in the day. Everyone i knew first thing they say about tekken is that the fighting game you can pick animals. Not gonna lie the fact i could play a fighting bear sold me.
Julia is a fantastic character and I hope she doesn't return. I don't want to see what they do to her in T8.
It's ARMAH KING. Everybody likes Armor King. He's unapologetically sick. He's not too over the top. Tasteful.
He doesn't yet have Plus Frames Into Stance Mix as his core gameplay strategy because he's not in T8 yet.
Did he even have plus frames ob? I genuinely don't think I ever used plus frame moves with on T7
Armor king actually had alright plus frames in db1+2, ff3 & f4.
In my humble opinion, even though this is my first Tekken, but I still have a good knowledge of the previous games, would Tekken 8 have the best character designs?
For me, one of the biggest design successes was King's cover and Yoshimitsu's new appearance. Even other characters also have characteristics that I consider more striking and that suit them
Lili in t8 is absolutely perfect gorgeous wonderful amazing phenomenal outstanding beautiful incredible, the glow-up from t7 is ESPECIALLY stunning.
Hwoarang's new look is incredible too but I his outfit is pretty boring. I wasn't entirely on board with t6 and t7 looks but they really fit his character and told you a lot about the character, in t8 his clothes don't really express anything beyond his martial art. It would be cool if that change was paired with some story content showing him becoming a more Baek-like character stepping away from his edgy rebelious personality but nah.
I like Alisa's new look too. Even though she's still the same boring kawaii robo girl personality-wise, her new look is gorgeous. the longer hair and dress are a wonderful evolution of her original look and her wings look super pretty too.
Nah, some are solid but most feel like a downgrade to me. A lot of the outfits feel overdesigned even by Tekken standards, especially for returning characters, and a lot fall under the category of "the old design but with small arbitrary changes that don't quite work", which makes one wonder why they didn't go for entirely new ones if they didn't want to keep the old outfits.
It doesn't help that for some reason, namco seems to really like having trends across all characters which makes them lose personality. In T7, everyone suddenly got longer versions of their traditional outfits so they would show off the cloth physics and in T8, it's random ribbons and straps.
And speaking of over-design, there's also a weird contrast between the less realistic style they're going for with this game versus how absurdly detailed and wrinkly the faces get when the male characters make any expression.
And I say the males because the female characters, at the other end of the spectrum, have had their facial features airbrushed out of reality (and don't get me started on my main Lili losing her distinctive looks and instead looking like Generic Anime Girl #9473).
I will answer that after Armor King release. T7 AK is the goat so far.
Most of them have had better looks, I’d say T4 has the strongest designs (and despite everything Tag 2 had some amazing ones too)
it definitely has the best clothing for many characters, those amazing jackets that claudio, jin, kazuya, dragunov, leo, lars etc are wearing are epic, and the females too like zafina, nina, anna have very cool outfits, hworang has an epic jacket outfit as well but not his main
I have played quite a lot of Tekken titles,Tekken 3 being my favourite although Tekken Tag Tournament wasn’t bad either,in your opinion what is the best character to use?I like to use Law,just because his combos are so sick and him as a character in general.
Jin F4 easy
laws a really strong character in lower and upper ranks, if you like him there's no reason you shouldnt use him.
Play whoever you like. Devil Jin, Jin & Steve are currently considered to be the top3 characters in the game but yet those characters aren't exactly sweeping wins at every tournament. And recently someone beat the world's best Devil Jin player using Panda in tournament.
Gigass
Lucky Chloe obviously
Art by me. I made this before his release but I forgot to share lol. He is definitely my coolest character in the series.
Akuma and charlie are the coolest
Aki is up there for sure
Sagato!
Necro
Either akuma or sagat for me. Honorable mention for violent ken since he's not a canon character.
Wow. The story line. The fight scenes. The graphics. The ending. The power you feel every time Kazuya and Jin’s fists hit each other.
Just a beautiful game.
It's over the top anime shit but that's what makes it fun
Good now you’re ready to start the game
Yeah story had a bunch of extra sick moments
Yeah, story mode is top tier.
Mine Is Paul
I love Miguel, all these martial artists, robots and fighting bears and here's this pissed off Spaniard whose fighting style is just "I'm gonna throw my limbs at you as hard as I can till you fall down".
I love how you FEEL every single one of his attacks as well
This
It's always been Lee tbh
1.Uuarrghh
2.Eeyuhhh
3.Dorya
1-Bob 2- lars 3- kazuya , correct?
Paul, Dragunov and Kazuya
King
I'm fairly new to tekken and I was wonder what characters would fit my playstyle? I usually play bully characters with good midrange neutral pokes such as Alex from SFV or Marisa in SF6. I also play vira in granblue, troubleshooter in DNF duel, Hilde in Soulcalibur 6 and jack-o in strive(although I'm not a fan of setplay but i like her defensive zoning)
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Jack 8 or Reina looks like she's going to be a bully through and through
Interesting, I never even considered Reina. Jack-8 looks so much more fun and less rigid than Jack-7. I'll check them both out. Thanks!
Reina seems like she'll be able to go between being frame-oppressive like her dad Heihachi, and backflipping around between evasive stances.
Oh, and she also has throws for almost everything, which is nice.
Based on what you say, I'd recommend Jack-8.
Feng
Bryan- Bully, mid range pokes, strong lows, +F moves, is an absolute sadist.
