What Redditors are Saying

When considering the best tall e-bike for someone who is 6'8" and prefers a specialized fit, there are several factors to consider. These include frame size, bike type, customization options, and specific brands that cater to taller riders. Below are some key insights from various discussions on Reddit regarding finding the right e-bike for tall individuals.

Frame Size and Fit

Finding an e-bike with a suitable frame size is crucial for tall riders. Many standard bikes may not accommodate heights over 6'5", as noted by commenters who have struggled to find frames larger than 61 cm [2:1], [2:3]. For someone who is 6'8", it's essential to look for XXL or custom-made frames that can provide the necessary comfort and riding experience [3:5].

Recommended Brands and Models

For taller riders, certain brands and models are recommended due to their larger frame sizes. The Trek Domane AL 3 disc in a 61 cm frame was mentioned as a potential option, although it might still be too small for someone who is 6'8" [2]. Canyon bikes offer XL and XXL sizes that are designed for taller riders, making them another viable option [2:5], [2:11]. Additionally, the Dirtysixer brand specializes in bikes for very tall people, offering sizes up to 7'5" [2:7].

Customization Options

If finding a stock bike that fits perfectly proves difficult, customizing an existing model is a possible solution. This could involve getting an XL frame and swapping parts like the stem or seat post to better suit your height [3:3]. However, one commenter cautioned that modifying an XL frame may not always result in a comfortable ride for someone as tall as 6'8" [3:4].

Test Rides and Professional Fitting

Before making a purchase, it's advisable to test ride different bikes if possible. Some users suggest contacting bike shops to see if they can order a larger frame for you to try out [2:2], [2:10]. A professional bike fitting can also be beneficial to ensure the bike is adjusted to your specific body dimensions, which can make a significant difference in comfort and performance [2:9].

Custom Bikes

For those who are significantly taller, such as 6'8" or above, custom-built bikes may be the best option. Companies like DirtySixer specialize in creating bicycles for very tall individuals, though these options tend to be more expensive [2:7]. Custom builds allow for a tailored fit that can accommodate unique body proportions, ensuring a comfortable and efficient ride.

In conclusion, while finding an off-the-shelf e-bike for someone who is 6'8" can be challenging, exploring different brands known for catering to taller riders, considering custom builds, and seeking professional fitting services can help you find the best fit for your needs.

What tips/tricks helped you drastically improve your gameplay? (warfare)

I just hit Marshal rank for the first time (fairly new player) and have been enjoying the game. I struggled to find a solid button layout, sensitivity and set of guns that I felt comfortable with for awhile but have finally figured all of that out. I’ve always despised using vehicles in these types of games, but I’m wanting to increase both my score per minute and KPM from here. What tips helped you drastically increase these stats?

I just try to have fun. I dont want any high scores or high ranks or high kill counts, just wanna enjoy myself

And this is a great game for that, I just like to have something to strive for, reaching for higher stats isn’t a stressor for me though.

Well I'm mainly a tank guy, that's how I can have 40-0, 60-0 or even 100-0 games, and it's also the only way i can enjoy an entertaining and relaxing match without having to rage quit. After a day at the office that's what I want to do.

Understand the roles of recon, support, engineer and assault you should know when which role should be used for example in map like Ascension engineer is the best in map like knife edge support or recon is the best A quick tip always plant the beacon on the objective even if it's on just the border of objective so whenever your teammates would spawn with that beacon you would get so many points especially when it's like a tug of war situation

Understand how and which vehicle could be used the one thing to survive for long when driving vehicles dont just keep them like standing at a place and use them as stationery guns just keep going here and there near the objective and istg you will survive longer if you have a good weapon loadout And when having vehicle vs vehicle fight don't get scared or try to run be confident and don't panic But don't initiate a fight with a battle tank or light tank unless you have a engineer by your side who is helping u or the tank is very low And for god's sake prioritize team objectives rather than your personal benefit of like having more kills and all that don't treat it like it's team death match I have had 10 kills but my score was 23,000 something in victory unite and I was on top and we won the match

but then your own score per minute would go down

It doesn't Let's say if you're a medic then too if you're only focusing on reviving then you get very much good spm If you completely focus on your role u get it and you have to be good at that role

1 upvotes on reddit
-AyX- · OP · 1 month ago

Great advice, especially the beacon. When I run medic I’ve typically hidden the beacon near objectives where it wouldn’t be found/destroyed but seldom place it IN the actual objectives. Even though the captures don’t show it in my stats, I’m usually in or slightly outside of them as they’re being captured to cut off enemies before they contest. I do feel like it’s deflating when a player can have 25 kills in a vehicle versus my 50 kills and they double my score l, I think I will have to learn that side of the game.

For me is to try different guns when I feel like the match doesn’t go my way for the first minutes of the match, I just feel so much more relaxed that this game has a LOT OF GOOD WEAPONS, and u don’t have to rely on one meta gun ) . So yeah go ahead and experiment

Listen to sounds and ambush.

Don't fight fair, ambush, use utilities. Fighting fair would make you lose a ton of money on gear.

I personally don't go to loot anything right away. Instead sit in areas where you will be able to hear hot zones. Admin, Cement, Visitor, Barracks.

And I wait to ambush at midways I use bushes to hide, when they run from say barracks to admin, I let them run past me and then shoot them from the back.

I have too many things to say and it ain't gonna fit in one comment, so you can ask anything and I will explain as far as I understand myself.

Depends on what your end goal is.

My end goal is to have the Blacksite high enough to passively make a bank.

So my main goal is to get in with recruit gear, get missions done and dip.

For PvP, it's a slow gradual process. Take fights you know you can win.

Blocking will come with knowledge, Maybe you don't know when it's your turn or not. I would recommend learn some characters matchup (use website to know your worst matchup) and learn that character matchup like when to block, punish, sidestep or etc.

When Blocking a string, you have to make sure you holding the back button and not back dashing(press). This will prevent you from neutral guard(some attack have neutral guard break that can launch you like hwoarang)

For fast wakeup, you gonna press 1 before you hit the ground or that is what they said(I mostly just spam 1 until I wake up) but learn how to use wake up option for different situations

KadesSpice · 1 month ago

Yeah its mostly knowledge checks and learning what each character's most common strings are.

Blocking someone's offense can mostly just be experience. You can lab the moves (go into practice mode and see if they're minus or plus) but you can also just lose a ton. Try attacking after their move and if you get hit, that means next time, you should block. That's how you counter flowcharts as well.

As for your 2nd question, that's called techrolling. You time either the 1 or 2 buttons to go into the background or the 3 and 4 buttons to go into the foreground at the same time you hit the ground. You can just spam them while you're getting comboed too.

Tips on Dragunov for Tekken 8

Posted by GladSupermarket5762 · in r/Tekken · 1 month ago

Started playing Tekken 8 this week and have been having a lot of fun on Dragunov, but I just wanted to ask here for some more tips on how to improve at him. Be it for good punish options for longer range moves, general combo routes(I learned the ones from the sample combos but yk), how to properly use the pigeon rolls and all Oh yeah and most importantly, some drip ideas as well lol

I would say at your lvl:

-Practice pigeon roll after df1 and 12. It is effectively a slightly better sidestep, and it can get you used to moving to the side after small pokes which is a good skill to develop early as it is something you will use even in the higher ranks.

-Don't take the habbit to always press when plus. Dragunov benefits a lot from sidestepping or delaying his moves after his plus frames since he is weak to sidesteps. I suggest getting confortable with just watching your opponent reaction after your plus frames, the react accordingly; you can catch sidesteps if they step by delaying a move, if they like pressing use one of your strong ch tools like 121 or a df2 mid launcher if they tend to get really greedy with their frames.

-make sure your wall enders and wallbreak combos are on point. Getting a lot of dmg at the wall when the opportunity arise is very important.

-do not fall into the habbit of relying too much on pigeon rolls or tackle. Those are good tools but they are entirely reactable if your opponent expects them, and you will get launched for it if they are ready.

jollycompanion · 1 month ago

I'll give you actual advice because nobody here seems to give a shit.

With drag focus on applying pressure using your running 2. If they start stepping add ff3 and your other excellent homing moves like b3 or df3+4.

Use d2 to open up opponents that don't press a lot or just guard. Use your full throw game as well, drag is blessed with a 1+2,1 and 2 break.

Use db3+4 since it's unseeable, even though it's death on block if you have the health lead just let it rip when you got + frames which should be often.

Utilise your side step, drag has actually got a decent step.

Check people with 1,2 and f1 often, let 1,2,1 rip on CH for a nice heat engager or in heat for + frames.

Use b4,3 and b4,2 delay 1 but don't always finish it.

This should really just let you waltz through red ranks and purple ranks tbh

5 upvotes on reddit
AyoGlenn · 1 month ago

to add on, SS2,1+2 is a safe mid,mid check. 3,1 is a safe mid, mid. b4,3 is a good whiff punish/heat engager and further whiffs f3,1+2 or f3,3. b1+2 is a good +ob mid that gives guaranteed d1+3 on hit.

drag also has full crouch mixup with fcdf1,4 into stance mixup and WS3 or WS2 if they start ducking the former string.

Live difficulty tier lists (skill floor and skill ceiling)

Posted by Zackiboi7 · in r/Tekken · 1 month ago

Sorry for posting again so soon, but I realized that having just a single difficulty tier list doesn't really work for fighting games since some characters can have completely different skill floors and skill ceilings. So here are the new Tekken 8 difficulty tier lists!

Skill floor: https://live.tiermaker.com/18261605

Skill ceiling: https://live.tiermaker.com/29823216

For anyone confused about the difference, a skill floor is how difficult a character is to start playing, learn the basics of and be able to play decently well with. Skill ceiling is how difficult the character is to master and excel at.

Again, the results will be posted in about a week.

i dont really trust ppl to know enough about the characters for a skill ceiling tier list, not myself either. i mean we're talking 1% of tekken 8 players xd. i bet the majority will just be echoing other ppls opinions, maybe without intending to.

i hope the skill floor list will be based more on their own opinions, that'll make an interesting list fs

Play 7. 8 will teach you bad habits, its straight up trash. You will get worse in literally any other fighting game while playing 8.

This game is flipping complicated. There's a lot to learn, so it's really important to know how experienced you already are before offering advice. How much have you played Tekken 8? Do you understand the notations we use to talk about what buttons we're pressing?

Specifically for Devil Jin/Mishimas, if you want something easy to drill, go to practice and set up the bot to random block and punish with a jab. Then hit the bot with 1,1. If the bot blocks the hits, sidestep to avoid it's jab and punish with a quick button. If the bot doesn't block the hits, then finish the string with 2.

This trains a few different things. It trains your small tekken/sidesteps, your ability to punish, and your ability to 'hit-confirm' your 1,1,2 string. As a mishima, your 1,1,2 string is pretty important. It opens up a lot for you, but it's launch punishable on block (or at least DVJ's is), so you don't want to hit that "2" button if they didn't get hit with the first two jabs.

The only fighting game I've play extensively is MKX, so I understand the notations I play on ps5 controller so hitting electrics can be slightly difficult at times.

Honestly just take it slow for a bit and try to have fun before overwhelming yourself. Fahk is good for throwing out big moves so you’ll probably enjoy him a lot. His cool looking moves are also his good ones so that helps.

The main tip would just be to learn how jab works since it’s so important. It’s basically the fastest move besides some exceptions and it gives you an advantage on block. The advantage is small, but it means that a second jab will beat almost anything. They’re really strong so you should jab a lot
