TL;DR
Commonly Recommended Oils
Eucalyptus oil is frequently mentioned as a top choice for clearing nasal passages and relieving congestion. Users suggest applying a few drops to a handkerchief and inhaling periodically [2:1]. Peppermint oil is another popular option, often used in roll-ons or diffusers to help open up the sinuses
[3:2]. Tea tree oil, rosemary, and lemon are also cited as effective for congestion relief
[1:3],
[2:2].
Safety Considerations
It's important to note that essential oils high in 1,8-cineole, such as eucalyptus and rosemary, should be avoided in children under 10 years old due to potential central nervous system and breathing issues [1:1]. For young children, alternatives like Vicks baby rub might be safer options
[4:1].
Application Methods
For adults, diffusing a combination of essential oils like lemon, eucalyptus, and lavender can provide relief from cold symptoms [3:1]. Some users also recommend using a roller to apply oils to the neck and perform a sinus massage, being careful to avoid the eye area
[2:3].
Complementary Remedies
In addition to essential oils, other remedies such as using a Neti Pot, taking hot steamy showers, or consuming spicy foods can help alleviate sinus pressure and congestion [5:1],
[5:4]. These methods can be used alongside essential oils for a more comprehensive approach to managing congestion.
I've got a cold and I'm looking for relief
I’ve used RC or Raven to help with this. Spearmint, peppermint or wintergreen haves helped in the past. Good luck.
Tea tree, or rosemary and lemon typically help me
I think eucalyptus would be helpful!
Please remember when responding Rule 2: Do not Solicit or give Medical Advice.
This answer can depend on the age of the person - oils high in a component 1,8-cineole should be avoided in children under 10 because it causes CNS breathing issues. That includes eucalyptus varieties, rosemary varieties, Laurel Leaf (Bay Laurel), Cajeput, and Niaouli to name a few.
Here is a chart of oils for Cold and Flu that might help. (used with permission)
I bought peppermint oil roll on recently but not sure what can help open up a clogged nose.
Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Camphor, TeaTree, Oregano, Rosemary. These are some that I know of that are good for sinus issues
Thanks!
I rub the roller on my neck, do this sinus massage. I make sure to rub the areas around my eyes before I start rubbing my neck and make sure not to get the oil near my eye sockets.
Thanks!
Peppermint, clove and eucalyptus
Thanks!
I currently have a fever of 103 and my nose is plugged. I’m coughing a lot. I was wondering what’s the best oils to fight sickness?. I’m currently using peppermint oil.
Peppermint or eucalyptus diffused may help to open up your sinuses, but please also take some real medicine.
In no particular order: oregano, thyme, rosemary, eucalyptus, tea tree, lavender, lemon, clove, fennel, ginger, pine, balsam, myrrh, frankincense, juniper... just to name a few.
Also, NOW Oregano Oil softgels come mixed with Fennel and Ginger oils in Extra Virgin Olive as a carrier oil. It has proven very effective for me, and I have personally fought off some very crummy weather without getting sick or sniffly once! That is a rarity for me and where I live in TN.
I second NOW soft gel oregano oil. As soon as I start to feel sick, I take one with D3 and Vit C. I haven't been sick in years (from cold or flu). I also have thieves in my purse for when I'm away from home.
With a fever I'd go to the emergency room. I love using essential oils but I would never mess with a fever!
I think with a fever that high doc is necessary, but I heavily diffuse the thieves-type blend (I have one from NOW and edens garden) and I think they really help. I hate the smell of clove but it’s been pretty effective for me.
none, they're all a total scam
When I'm sick I benefit from a diffuser mix of lemon, eucalyptus, and lavender. But also hydration and rest.
I had been looking at getting the frida baby vapor drops to diffuse in my 13 month old's room overnight to help with his nighttime coughing. I was researching breastfeeding safe oils for myself because I'm also sick and everything I came across said eucalyptus is a huge no for young children. That's the main ingredient in the frida baby drops though.
Can anyone recommend anything to help him get a more restful sleep? He's only coughing at night. He's a tummy sleeper and he is all over the crib at night so I can't prop one end up because he's likely to end up on the other end eventually. We do have a humidifier running 24/7 in his room.
Edited to add: we live in a very dry climate so the humidifier is necessary. It's not a dial one, we set the humidity to 60% in his room so it's not constantly running like a rainforest. It turns on and off as needed to reach the comfort zone for humidity.
Is it a cool mist humidifier or warm air? Also, I would recommend only using water in those, anything else can cause mold in them which is really dangerous for them to breathe in.
It's a cool mist one. I have an actual diffuser as well that is meant for essential oils that I would use if I can find a good one to try. We wouldn't put anything in the humidifier.
Could the humidifier be the problem? How often do you clean it?
We just cleaned it. He just started daycare last month so he's had back to back sicknesses and now has a lingering nighttime cough.
Vicks baby rub. Worked great for us.
Hot steamy shower... blow your nose out... wash it off!
Sudafed and a vitamin called QBC plex! Life changing! Stopped all infections
Spicy food or some form of horseradish usually helps
Wasabi on the roof of the mouth will sometimes do it for me but no access currently
Cough drops or I just take a shower it helps idk y
Using a Neti Pot to flush out your sinuses with the right mixture of salt can fix a lot of issues.

BIMO the best oh the best
I wish pyromancy came back as its own spell type again😔
On god i need my demon scar back bro, int/faith in elden ring is literally only sword of night and flame, everything else fucking sucks unless you're like level 250 on ng+😭
Yeah, pyromancy was THE int/fth build, a shame fromsoft decided to cut it.
Also heed my warning, dont try to do this at new game plus, I committed to a 80 dex 80 fth build with kinda high strength for a great shield along with pretty high mind and endurance for specific weapons and oh my god the amount of albanorics I have killed to make this build work. 3000 albanorics have died and I STILL NEED 40 MORE LEVELS END MY SUFFERING
Int/Fth got shafted in ER because it all moved to Faith which is another BIG win for BELIEVERS and MIRACLE ENTHUSIASTS
Int/faith fell off hard from Ds3 to Elden Ring so pure faith could get the glow up that it deserved.
On one hand I wish int/fth was better in ER on the other hand the balance between hybrid int/fth scaling and everything else was so fucking shit in DS3 it feels like ER definitely has it better when everything except int/fth is good instead of the opposite
Yes, it's really best in long game, double scaling catalysts out scale everything even at 60/60(at least what I tried)
Staff Of The Great Beyond and cast anything you want.
Only your spell slots can limit you.
Close enough, welcome back Black Witch's Staff from DS2.
Two mid spells, two mid catalysts and not a single proper weapon without infusions.
and those weapons SUCK FLACCID COCK when infused for int/arc scaling, legit just better sticking with int weapons OR arc weapons and youd do more damage

I changed the fonts in Windows from Segoe UI to Lato, which are more modern, and the font configuration in Chrome and Vivaldi. I also installed all the fonts from macOS, Ubuntu, and the most commonly used Google fonts for compatibility with Western fonts.

best essential oils for congestion
Key Considerations for Essential Oils for Congestion:
Eucalyptus Oil: Known for its ability to clear airways, eucalyptus oil contains eucalyptol, which can help reduce inflammation and mucus.
Peppermint Oil: The menthol in peppermint oil can provide a cooling sensation and help open up nasal passages, making it easier to breathe.
Tea Tree Oil: With its antimicrobial properties, tea tree oil can help fight infections and reduce congestion caused by colds or allergies.
Lavender Oil: While primarily known for its calming effects, lavender oil can also help reduce inflammation and promote better sleep, which is beneficial when dealing with congestion.
Lemon Oil: The refreshing scent of lemon oil can help uplift mood and may also assist in breaking down mucus.
Recommendations:
Diffusion: Use a diffuser to disperse essential oils into the air. Eucalyptus and peppermint oils are particularly effective when diffused in a room.
Topical Application: Dilute essential oils with a carrier oil (like coconut or jojoba oil) and apply to the chest and throat area for direct relief. Always perform a patch test first to check for skin sensitivity.
Steam Inhalation: Add a few drops of eucalyptus or peppermint oil to a bowl of hot water, cover your head with a towel, and inhale the steam to help clear nasal passages.
Safety Note: Always consult with a healthcare professional before using essential oils, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or have underlying health conditions.
