TL;DR
Armor Recommendations
For Hunters in Destiny 2, especially with the upcoming expansion "The Final Shape," mobility and stealth are key attributes to focus on. The "St0mp-EE5" boots are highly recommended for their ability to increase sprint speed and jump height, making them ideal for both PvP and PvE scenarios. These boots allow Hunters to traverse maps quickly and evade enemies effectively[1].
Another popular choice is the "Orpheus Rig" which enhances the Nightstalker subclass by providing additional super energy for tethered enemies. This can be particularly useful in raids and other high-level PvE content where controlling large groups of enemies is crucial[3].
Weapon Choices
Hunters benefit from weapons that complement their agility and precision. The "Ace of Spades" hand cannon is a favorite due to its high damage output and perks that enhance reload speed and accuracy after kills. This weapon is versatile and effective across various game modes[4].
The "Nightstalker" subclass pairs well with weapons that benefit from stealth tactics. Using bows or sniper rifles can capitalize on the invisibility and tracking capabilities of this subclass, allowing Hunters to pick off enemies from afar without revealing their position[2].
Subclass Synergies
Choosing the right subclass can significantly impact your effectiveness in combat. The Nightstalker subclass offers excellent synergy with gear that boosts invisibility and tracking abilities. It allows Hunters to support their team by marking targets and providing crowd control with the Shadowshot super[5].
Alternatively, the Arcstrider subclass focuses on melee combat and agility, making it suitable for players who prefer close-range engagements. Pairing this subclass with gear that enhances melee damage and recharge rates can turn Hunters into formidable opponents in PvP scenarios[3].
Additional Tips
When selecting gear, consider mods that enhance your chosen playstyle. Mods that increase resilience, recovery, and discipline can provide more survivability and faster ability recharge times. Experiment with different combinations to find what works best for your gameplay preferences[5].

No, I tried this when I first started, the comets will eat your fancy fish before they out grow the tank
I would recommend separating the fan tailed fish from the comets as soon as possible. The comets will out compete and hog food and probably nibble on the fan tails
Comets is a surface eater, fancies should be fed pre soaked sinking pallets while comments are fed at the surface other side
Should be fine for a little while. Make sure the fancies aren't getting bullied or outcompeted for food. The tank is big enough to handle the bioload while they're all babies, but when they get more than a couple inches long you'll likely see problems. Keep a close eye on the water parameters. Also, the comets will outgrow the fancies fairly fast, at which point bullying, outcompeting for food, and aggressive breeding behavior will become more serious risks.
I have a 20 gallon I can put them in. Should I do that, if I do. How big should I wait to put them in the pond.
It's not a terrible idea to grow the two comets out in the 20 gallon instead. However, they'll only safely reach around 3-4" or so before they start stunting.
You'll want them big enough to not fit in the other fish's mouths. 3-4" should be fine for that if the pond only contains goldfish. However if it has larger fish like full grown koi, they may need to grow much bigger to be safe. That wouldn't really be possible to accomplish in a 20 gallon.
its okay for a while but in max. one year youll need to separate. 5 fancies in a 55 is not a good idea long term, either. the filtration needs an upgrade sooner than later, and try to make the tank less bare. even just chucking in some fake plants (no sharp plastic) or cheap water column plants like egeria or ceratophyllum would be a start
They should be fine, maybe get a powerful filter like a good canister to compensate for their high bioload
This guy def thinks it’s alright 😏

DYSMANTLE is so good. You know how when people asks for hidden gems, everyone in this subreddit recommends Mad Max?
I hope Dysmantle reaches that stage because I bought it on sale, shared how good it was, and so many others popped up to agree.
Ehhhh... At first, I agreed with your sentiment but eventually I stopped playing it because it was too grindy and due to the somewhat restricted (kinda metroidvania) open world, it was annoying to know where to go so I could progress the upgrades. If I could move my save from the Switch to pc, perhaps I could give it a new try, now on the Steam Deck.
Seconding this. It's really really good.
> people asks for hidden gems, everyone in this subreddit recommends Mad Max
I don't think I've ever seen that happen here. And no game with 50k reviews in considered a hidden gem, nor any games published by WB.
I really enjoyed it on mobile but felt like it could be so much more and the dlc wasn't enough. Hoping they do a sequel and build upon the systems.
It's the perfect kind of game for steam deck too.
Paradise Killer isn't for everyone but you'll really love it if it is.
It was such a blast. Would love another game of that kind. More engaging than phoenix wright for me.
Damn it looks neat but I already own disco Elysium AND an extra key and nothing else is calling to me lol
Just fyi, I’m not sure if leaving out one letter of the key is enough to prevent bots from claiming them. I don’t know for sure but wanted to give a heads up
Mayhem Brawler + Final Vendetta together is a nice pick-up for $3.33.
Picked up Final Vendetta in a previous HB but hadn't even heard of Mayhem Brawler until now. It actually looks pretty good and at least graphically comparable to SOR 4.
I'm currently playing through Disco Elysium. As hyped as that game is on reddit it still somehow managed to exceed my expectations, incredible piece of work.

Disco Elysium and Paradise Killer alone make this one of the best bundles they've had in a while.
Disco Elysium and Paradise Killer are worth it alone as far as quality. Price wise, you can probably get them cheaper on keyshops.
Not the best time to check out the games on Steam :P
Man Silksong ruining it for all of us indiegamers
Silksong is an indie game tho
yeah and it's ruining it for all of us indiegamers
Aren't most of these android to steam games
Of the five I'm familiar with the released on PC. One of them now has a different tik tok mobile version, which is disco Elysium.

So what's the best ones for weapons and armor?

for weapons it varies so much, but my personal preference is a combo of the 2* crippling and 4* fractures, for non-PA i prefer sawbones for the passive health regeneration, for PA i use aegis when I’m helping teammates, reflective for my carryweight armor, pyros is also good for any weapon that sets enemies on fire
What is the best load out for combat I can achieve and how can I get the items?
[edited] Kinda depends on what you are fighting, but usually I just run full Guardians set for crit bonus (found in the forgotten packs from the gilded satchel from landkeeping) with an Ice Breaker (winter event iirc?) or, if the enemy has an element, a Prismatic Blade(killing the humanoid elementals in shimmering cove then charging it with cores ), a silver(str) or gold(atk) shield (I put mountain enchant to get more elemental bonus for token fight enchanting xp easier), an amber ring (or the lunar ring that makes you collect resources/attack faster, but much like how to acquire it, I often forget to put it on when the moon is in an optimal phase... Wolf helm too.) , and, naturally, an arc of dominion(recipe from prism shop in hunting) for the bow (saving up the good poison/fire arrows till I have too many to worry about running out, mostly using expert arrows till then). Enchanted the guardian boots for time between enemies, and should probably get around to enchanting the "metal object drops get smelted down into bars" or onto my gear (don't want to lose my "rarest combat drops are more likely" sword from shadow broker chests turning it into an enchant, as I like having everything, and don't feel like farming shadow brokers chests yet. I just equip it when farming drops.)
You might be later game than me. I feel powerful but assume I'm only beginning the end game. I'm certain I haven't fully explored this game(have not legacied yet), and feel there are better options, especially for the shield slot. The gloam duster and arbobiter from the timed tree fight seem like they'd be fun to experiment with, as does the saltblade from the big kraken fight, maybe the orc axe from the orcs as well. I have not had time to focus on Expeditions Echo timed run, but I assume it has some good combat goodies from its lockbox.
Both the rares from Braiq Crox (weapons merchant) are good. Macuahuitl might be the best weapon (from the war feather "quest" from him) gives a crazy 110str bonus at a slow 3.3atkspd (thank you OP for motivating me to look this up, next thing I'm crafting as I had already got the note) and the fast but not fastest Beast Saber was solid weapon before prismatic against elementals.
My "eh screw it I don't care to pay attention to my enemy" default build (listed above w/ prismatic blade) give a bonus 52str, 52atk, 4def, 12hp, 40%crit chance, and 1🏔️ mountain
I figure if it dies faster, I don't have to worry about it hitting me more. Been wanting to experiment with faster weapons (like the shadow dagger) but I have not had the need to.
Can't tell if atk or str bonuses are better when you get 80+ in both so usually run str>atk in priority unless I'm missing a ton against a certain enemy... Only noticed my default load out is balanced typing this.
Use the best food you got for tough battles and the +combat xp food (nana pines fine dining cookbook rarely in the shadow brokers shop) for training.
Adjusting as needed.
(Honorably mention: the summer event set for extended tome use)
Just get the fastest weapon you can, and use potions with alch mask. Grind tomes at high council, and do the reflected realm when you can.
Best loadout is potions and writs with an Alch mask, and then the fastest weapon you have, and then tomes.
Basically everything else is trivial.
Weapons: Use the claws. Potions: make or buy them all. Writs: get from the dark trader after you cap a combat stat. Alch mask: from the tribesmen area. Tomes: from the High Council mostly or from the dark trader.
If you have a more specific goal (beating a certain boss, just grinding XP as fast as possible, getting hard drops) ask that instead. This is a pretty generic question and realistically what I listed is the generic response.
I'm a returning player as The Final Shape was free on PS+ last month, I've seen tier lists of the best weapons but I don't have access to 99% of them as they're seasonal activity drops or dungeon loot.
I'd appreciate some guidance on the best weapons I should be trying to get before the new season next week. Thanks!
I'd generally start with Weapons from Onslaught if I were starting out.
Lots of great stuff from that loot pool and it's currently focusable at Zavala.
Dares of Eternity has some solid weapons as well.
A good roll of anything in either of those activities will still work pretty well.
As someone else here said, run through the campaigns that are gonna be free for a week, then go for Dares of Eternity and Rite of the Nine matchmade explorer while you can, you can get some solid weapons there.
Starting tomorrow all expansions will be free to play until the 22nd and all 3 episodes until 15th
+1 for Onslaught and RotN weapons. Blast Furnace is still a great pulse rifle, Luna's Howl is one of the best feeling hc's to me as a controller player, and you can grab some decent rolls of judgement and prosecutor from the chests or the dungeon.
I took a break after playing the final shape. Just wanted some recommendations on hunter builds that are viable in endgame stuff as well as fun builds for regular gameplay. Thanks!!!
Check out mactis on YouTube. He has a ton of hunter builds you can try out and decide which sounds best to you. Problem you'll have is you're probably missing some exotic pieces.
Yeah and dont forget to put video speed to x2.0.
Most used builds rn are prob the gifted conviction(prismatic and arc, but mostly prism) and Inmost-Cyrt exotic class item. Both mostly work as a DR-stacking survivablity builds. First one has more DR, second has more ability spam.
gyrfalcon builds also work pretty good with smth like Choir of one(which is one of the best exotics in the game, and Xur is selling it rn btw, highly advise to grab it if u haven't yet).
For fun builds I def recommend to check out the Icebreaker-mask of fealty build. Also, grapple build with spirit of Verity and something like barrow-dyad\Final warning can be pretty fun. It also just might become the next meta when EoF releases.
ATM hunters aren't as good and popular as the other classes tbh, but these are the most notable builds
As the title says: what is the best heavy legendary for DPS?
Now I use MG for add clear but I want DPS.
Hezen vengeance, but I think the banshee GL from vespers is still really good. Also scintillation this season is very underrated, almost a legendary queen breaker
Is scintillation doing well? I've been meaning to pull it, but what makes that better than any other legendary linear?
It's okay, linears are really just not very good other than Queenbreaker. It's pretty good for GMs this season if you have an Envious + Reservoir Burst roll but I've basically never used the Rewind + BnS DPS roll even with a linear damage boost on the artifact.
Not nearly as good as bait and switch but firing line gives free automatic 20% bonus damage within 15 meters of 2 allies. U don’t have to worry about missing and losing the buff like precision instrument, which takes 5 stacks to get the same 20%.
I personally prefer heavy GL’s, even if Hezen is better. It’s way easier to hit stuff with GL’s
It’s just another heavy weapon. Lots of different sources for them including world drops.
Fallen Guillotine that I mentioned before can be obtained from Onslaught launched from the Vanguard tab in the director. You can visit Zavala in the tower and focus it to make it more likely to drop from there as there are a lot of weapons in that loot pool (many of which are very good).
You will get them like any other weapon or peace of gear by drops or chests or completing activities
The easiest ways to get a decent sword are:
The Other Half/Half Truths: both of these swords can drop randomly from Dares of Eternity. Both are craftable if you can get the red borders for them.
Falling Guillotine: this sword is one of the drops from the OG Onslaught playlist. You can attune to it at Zavala in the tower and that will increase the frequency in which it drops
This is the correct answer and I’d just like to add that Hezen currently blows everything out of the water because of the origin trait.
Even the bosses other people in the comments are saying “it depends on the boss”. Bro even bosses you typically use precision damage on, or swords… Hezens out DPS’s them.
Unless the boss moves too much and you can’t hit them, or they are too close and you might blow yourself up… you can destroy pretty much everything with hezens vengeance.
————
Easy setup that works on pretty much everything:
a well
a debuff (weaken nade, tether, etc.)
a storms keep barricade
a gjally
everyone else on hezens and damage supers.
Super the boss, fire rockets and rotate weapons to reload. You’ll 1 phase everything in the game on normal difficulty and can 1 phase almost everything on harder difficulties. It’s crazy DPS.
Obvs everyone mentions the perks, but what about the barrel/mag perks? and the masterwork stat? Really want to craft mine now that I got one, but everywhere just mentions the envious/bns perks.
The artifact also gives it a free +10% this episode for being a VoG weapon.
It is heavily dependant on what boss you are fighting and what activity.
Many activities within end game have varying modifiers that will boost certain options. Having something to match various surges or overcharged weapons can be the most important thing.
Many bosses you are best off using precision weapons, others prefer explosive weapons, some swords.
For precision, linears are probably top for legendary options mostly. Scintillation would be one of the top picks there.
For explosive, GLs top pick would probably be VS Chill Inhibitor from Vesper’s Host and top rocket would be Hezen’s Vengeance from Vault of Glass.
Swords are a little more open. There are a couple with double damage perks but can’t really go wrong with a good Fallen Guillotine or Slammer. There is a bit less of a gap in swords so you can do fine with a lot of them.
All that being said, you should have some loadouts for legendary primary and special weapons to enable exotic DPS options when suited. There are a lot of times where one or two exotics really stand above and beyond all other options.

Recommendation: For a balanced build, consider using Graviton Forfeit with a combination of St0mp-EE5 for mobility, and pair it with weapons like Succession for precision damage. This setup allows for high mobility and effective damage output in both PvE and PvP environments. Always keep an eye on the latest updates and meta shifts, as gear effectiveness can change with patches.
