Sovol sv03 is good honestly. The gap at 500-1000 is hard for larger printers. So I would get sovol. If you put more money in I mean you can go ratrig but that’s a massive step up. Plus the 2 month shipping time.

I'm in need of some suggestions. I have a decent amount of experience in 3d printing and currently own 3 machines (one delta built by myself, an mk3s and a resin printer.) but i'm doing more and more projects that require very large parts (automotive mainly).
While i'm currently doing fine with the mk3s, all the gluing and sanding and priming and sanding again 10+ parts per project is becoming a nuisance. This is why i decided that i'm in need of a much larger printer.
The minimum volume i had in mind is about 600x600x600mm, or if it's better for the machine rigidity a non square bed (something like 800x500x500mm). The machine needs to be enclosed and have a direct extruder (hemera most probably or BMG). The bed will probably be aluminum tooling plate with pei surface (a magnetic flexplate would be nice but i don't think i can find one at that size) with a 220v silicone heater.
I can modify an existing project to accomodate for bigger rods (or rails) to increase rigidity and i can design some parts in fusion to mount custom parts, but i'm stuck in deciding what the base design/project should be.
For now i've looked at the hypercube (corexy is nice, but i'm a little worried about the belt length for a machine this size), voron (again, standard is 300mm^3 , with bigger sizes not really encouraged.), Blv Mgn, Railcore and more without finding a definitve answer on what kind of design is able to accomodate this kind of printing volume.
So i am asking those of you with large format 3d printers (or more experienced than me) what is the best starting point to build one without starting from scratch. Thanks =)
I have no advice to give here but there are lots of knowledgeable people over on the Railcore discord even though a railcore design wont be big enough, it might be worth a shot joining and heading straight to the other-printers channel and seeing what they have to say about it.

Remember that a 600^3 is equivalent to EIGHT 300^3 machines volume wise.
Large nozzle and 3mm filament?
0.8 mm nozzle and e3d volcano (or supervolcano, but that might be overkill), paired with the hemera, i need to print parts that are fairly thin (3-4mm) but take a lot of space, should be no more than 3-400 grams at a time.
So I've gotten a lot of requests to print bigger things and am currently limited by the build volume of my Core ONE and X1C so about 25cm cubed.
I am looking into getting a larger format printer hopefully minimum 50cm cubed ideally about 100cm cubed.
However searching online I find the build quality of these machines vary quite a lot.
So I was wondering if anyone on here had any experience with these kinds of machines and would be willing to help point me in the right direction?
Budgetwise ideally less than $50k but flexible for the right machine that hopefully lasts a long time.
A ratrig if you don't want to build one yourself, a trident otherwise.

Ender 5+, can find them cheap, most of the mods for an Ender 5 work and I've never filled my buildplate.
Functional parts for what? Toy cars, real cars, jet engines? Maybe narrow it down first to the type of material you want to print (PLA, ABS, PETG, PC, PEEK) then look for a printer because they all need quite different capabilities.

Either the neptune 3s or neptune 4 models. Neptune 3s are very easy to learn, the 4s with klipper installed do have more of a learning curve with the different type of firmware used if you have no experience using klipper before. The 3s are much slower than the 4s. Klipper makes faster print speeds possible.
A used LulzBot TAZ 5, or TAZ 6, or TAZ WorkHorse.
Elegoo Neptune 4 series. Multiple sizes available, good value for the functionality and features, easy set-up. Negatives are that you'll be limited on material options as there's no enclosure and full exterior dimensions are large due to the bed slinger design.
If you can increase your budget Bambu Labs P1P and P1S are popular options at the moment.
Creality K1 and K1 Max are also options that are fully enclosed and offer fast speeds and good out of the box functionality. People's opinions on these have been mixed, early models seemed to have some design flaws, though these may have been fixed in newer versions.

It's for my work and we design tombstones. My boss wants to bring to scale models to conventions. So far, my first print is simple. My boss doesn't want to send too much. I make the CAD models so mostly simple things. It would be cool to print mausoleums, though.
I'd say 500 to 600$ is ideal but I could convince him to send more.

If you don't mind the 400mm on the z-axis, you have better options for a lower price.
In which case, a Creality CR10S will give you 300x300x400mm.
Of course, if you want to blow a couple of thousand, then you have plenty of options.

Ok didn't know where else to ask this so I thought I'd try here as I have a BL X1C. What are some people's suggestions for a large format 3D printer (i.e. Elegoo Neptune Max 4)?
The reason I'm asking it here is because I want something that just prints without messing around like a X1C or a Prusa (both of which I have). I did have the preorder of the Prusa XL and cancelled it right before it shipped a few months ago as I heard it wasn't printing well; also it was really expensive.

The Ratrig Vcore 3.1 at 500mm^3 would offer the best performance being a large CoreXY, but that's purely a kit machine that you'll need to assemble yourself.

dont bother with elegoo unless you really really like fixing and tinkering. If you come from bambu, you will loathe it.
