What Redditors are Saying

Best Manhwa Websites

TL;DR

  • Popular options include PlutoScans, Webtoon, MangaDex, http://Bato.to, and Manganato for a variety of manhwa experiences.
  • Consider using apps like Tachiyomi for convenience and aggregation.

PlutoScans PlutoScans is highly recommended for its large collection of manhwa and manhua, with around 1,500-2,000 titles available. It stands out because it has no ads, although releases might be slightly slower compared to other platforms [1]. Users appreciate the decent image quality across all titles.

Webtoon Webtoon is another popular choice, especially for those who prefer reading on an app. It offers good quality chapters but includes ads and requires payment for access to the latest chapters [1]. Some users enjoy the free aspect of reading one chapter a day for paywalled series [3:8].

MangaDex and http://Bato.to MangaDex is noted for being ad-free and providing a solid reading experience [1]. http://Bato.to is frequently mentioned as a reliable site with a good comment section, which enhances the community feel [2:4][5:3].

Manganato Manganato is favored for its comprehensive collection, including manga, manhua, manhwa, and borderline H manga. It features a robust tracking system for favorites and read/unread chapters [3:1]. However, some users report issues with redirect ads, particularly on Android devices [3:11].

Other Notable Mentions

  • Tachiyomi: An app that aggregates content from various scanlator sites, offering a convenient way to keep track of multiple series [4:2].
  • Manhwatop and Vyvymanga: These sites offer bookmarking features and easy navigation [4:1].
  • Comick.fun: Praised for its user-friendly interface [4:3].

Considerations Beyond the Discussions When choosing a website or app for reading manhwa, consider factors such as user interface, ad presence, update frequency, and community interaction. Apps like Tachiyomi can provide a streamlined experience by aggregating content from multiple sources, potentially reducing the hassle of navigating different websites.

ORIGINAL POST

List of best websites to read Manhwa, Manhua and Webtoons on

So this is the list of websites where I read manhwa & manhua on in case anyone on here is looking:

PlutoScans :

Best overall, has around 1,500-2,000 manhwa and manhua, has no ads, releases are sometimes a day slower than other apps but that's not problem for me, quality of images is decent or good at all manhwas.

Webtoon:

This one has an app, good quality on all chapters, has ads, and you can't read latest chapters unless you pay with coins.

Manga Dex:

Also solid one, has no ads, but i stopped reading on it because of two main reasons: a lot of times it has a lot of missing chapters/images hence no point reading on it if i have to switch sites all the time otherwise it would be really good.

Thank you! I’ve never tried PlutoScans but will check it out. I read on the paid sites (TenManga for manga, mostly Tapas for manhwa) but they purge older manhwa & manga when the demand for them dies down so I also use Bato, which has old stuff you can’t find anywhere else.

I can't wait for Reaper Scans to fix their website issues. They've made great progress but I read like 20 manhwa on their site and I miss them.

EDIT: Reaper Scans is rebuilding their website from the ground up. The website is up and running. You can go to the Reaper Scans website right now and read manhwa.

The website was quite literally just built. It's still missing a lot of UI functionality and polish that we expect from our websites. It didn't even have a search function yesterday, but it has one today. They are working on finishing the website as I type this.

This is not criticism. I just don't want anyone to go to the Reaper Scans website right now and expect it to be a finished product. It's not. It's important to have realistic expectations, but they are making huge amounts of progress and I expect we will have a finished product and a beautiful website very very soon.

My all time fav is Asura. They have a good collection of manhwa and most of them are based on action and good quality. My second choice used to be Reaper but now it's website is messed up. And i don't like all their collections, they feel kinda cheap. Go for Asura and other third party manhwa websites where you can get all the manhwa when searching.

Asura has good translations and manwhas. But the site is really bad for me. Every like 15 seconds all the adds on their site change. This causes the whole site to jump up and down as it resizes. And its constantly. And for some reason the website just randomly reloads sometimes. So i have to find my place again

Asura has been garbage for me. Aside from the screen constantly resizing and the ads that you can't close, I also seem to see rips from bad translators on their site, not very frequently. Only a couple of times. And they don't communicate at all, entire series just suddenly disappearing and what not.

I use manganato. I know it's an aggregator site but hear me out. First you have all the manga, manhua, manhwa, pornhwa and borderline H Mangas in one place. Also I use brave so this site never shown me any ads. The comics load faster than the asura/reaper site they aggregate from, and more importantly, their tracking system is best I've seen (which comic is favorite and which chapters are read and unread) Only con is that they are lazy on updating, so sometimes you have to wait few extra days or even a week (2 chapters after 2 weeks) for the update. Which I can ignore since I have 150+ different stories already going on, plus novels so I can wait.

These are the ones I've been mainly using. ask if you got questions

https://manhwatop.com/ This site seems says to be alright although t creator and allows you to bookmark the comics you are interested in and save them in a library, though I'm not sorry if there is a "history" feature as I'm new to using it, UI is easy to navigate and understand with not many "awkward" manhwas being shown on the title screen.

https://vyvymanga.com/ This site is a second backup for a site that got taken down like a month ago (I forgot the name). allows for account creation which would enable bookmarking and a history feature so you can go to the last page you saw of your manhwas, however, the title screen has ALOT of "awkward" covers of various manhwas be warned.

https://ww5.manganelo.tv/home This site seems to be alright although it says there is an account creator I could not find it, that's all I have to say about it.

https://mangabuddy.com/home-page This site is almost the same as site #1 so what I wrote there applies here, but it does have a history feature.

I already said this and I'll say it again. Please read at the translator's site to support them. Some examples are:

•Asura Scans (the best, no one can argue)

•Reaper Scans (second best but sometimes inconsistent)

•Flame Scans

•Luminous Scans

•MM Scans

•Leviatan Scans

•Immortal Updates Scans

And avoid reading at sites like 1stKissManga because those thief bastards just puts their watermark on top of the original watermark of the translators. Shameless, right?

  2. Library Size: Look for platforms with a large selection of titles, including popular series and hidden gems.

  3. User Experience: A good website should have a user-friendly interface, easy navigation, and features like bookmarks and reading lists.

  4. Updates: Check how frequently the site updates its content. Regular updates are crucial for keeping up with ongoing series.

  5. Community Features: Some websites offer forums or comment sections where you can discuss chapters with other fans.
