Popular Fantasy Manhwa
Several manhwa have been frequently recommended across discussions for their engaging fantasy elements. Notably, "Tower of God" is a well-known series with a massive world and extensive character development [1:1],
[3:1]. Another popular title is "Kubera," which combines adventure, comedy, fantasy, mystery, and romance
[3:2]. Both series are praised for their intricate plots and captivating storytelling.
Finished Series
For readers looking for completed fantasy series, "Her Summon" has been mentioned as a finished work worth exploring [2:1]. This can be appealing to those who prefer not to wait for ongoing updates and want a complete narrative experience.
Lighthearted Fantasy Recommendations
If you're interested in fantasy webtoons with less drama and more lighthearted moments, titles like "His Majesty's Proposal," "Levelling Up My Husband to the Max," and "My Gently Raised Beast" might suit your taste [5:1]. These series focus on noble or royal life settings but maintain a lighter tone compared to other dramatic narratives.
Unique and Lesser-Known Titles
For those seeking unique or lesser-known fantasy manhwa, "The Lazy Lord Masters the Sword" and "The Dark Lord's Confession" offer interesting blends of character development, romance, and action [1:1]. Additionally, "Night of Shadows" and "The Blood of the Butterfly" were suggested for readers wanting to explore different fantasy themes
[4:1].
Additional Recommendations
Other notable mentions include "Ordeal," "Jungle Juice," and "Gosu," each offering distinct fantasy experiences [3:1]. For a mix of comedy within the fantasy genre, "Strongest Florist" provides an entertaining read
[3:3].
These recommendations span various sub-genres and styles within fantasy, ensuring that there's something for every type of reader. Whether you prefer epic adventures, completed stories, or lighter narratives, the fantasy manhwa landscape offers a rich variety of options to explore.
I've read many webtoons but found that my taste gravitates to fantasy - but have been struggling to find more good ones. Here's some I enjoyed: -Marionetta -Sable Curse -Suitor Armour -Of Swamp and Sea -Vampire Librarian -Punderworld -After Dark
I don't really mind the art style but don't like the types that usually have 'Empress, Reincarnated, Villainess, The Duke, Countess, Remarried' those sort of ones.
Don't mind romance as long as it isn't the whole plot, and I don't really like drawn out plots either that just drag on and on with filler episodes.
I'd like to add Dagger to the Heart. It's new, but gorgeous nonetheless.
try something like The greatest estate developer or dungeon reset to see if you like it
Honestly these are the ones I like 👍🏻
The lazy lord masters the sword : good character development and story also bit of cute romance a bit further in the story.
The stellar swordmaster : character development
The dark lord's confession : romance ,drama ,action and fantasy and gorgeous art
Tower of God : massive world lots of characters and lots of chapters 650ch and waiting for next season
The top dungeon farmer: lots of healing and cuteness
Hey, I'm quite new to the manhwa world, but I've read a few things here and there.
Fantasy is my favorite genre, and there are so many fantasy series in the manhwa, but most of it is just cheap slop. The good series, at least those that I find, are always still serializing. Are there any well-written fantasy series that are also finished?
Fork & Knife.
Her summon
Can anyone recommend me some fantasy manhwa? I accept any quality, as long as it's not really sh*tty. The more the merrier please. Thank you.

Night of shadows
The blood of the butterfly
I’d love some more recommendations for Webtoons where the main characters actually get some time to chill out and just have fun instead of constantly worrying about being in danger. The images are some examples of my favorites, I do prefer the ones in a noble/royal life but it’s not necessarily a requirement.
Falling for Paradise – it's the best drama-free romance I have ever read, it's so good and heart-warming
have you read the remarried empress? it’s my favorite royal webtoon :)
The romance is fairly mid tho, I rlly don't find it good considering it's 1/3rd of the webtoon
i agree that the romance is okay, but i love the drama
Yes but it’s been a while, so I probably have a couple episodes to get caught up on.
it’s been getting pretty good! i’m always impatient for new episodes lol
THE KNIGHT ONLY LIVES TODAY
I feel like a few of these webtoons may be more up your alley. they're too lighthearted for my liking but it's less drama.
- his majesty's proposal
- levelling up my husband to the max
- my gently raised beast
I've started discovering manhwa recently and so far I've read:
Wondering if there's something similar and equally interesting to read. Preferably with a decent chunk of chapters to go through.
If you think there's something amazing to check out even if it's not that similar to the ones I've read, that's fine too. I really like unusual worlds and works that subvert the good ol' tropes in the genre.
Thanks in advance!
SSS class suicide hunter, sword king in a fantasy world, beginning after the end, second life ranker are pretty good imo
Thanks, man, much love
Eleceed
I love the fight scenes and the art.
ikr it's one of my favorite reads ever
As the title says; looking for medieval(-ish) fantasy manga and comics, just not those involving dudes from our world becoming the most powerful, popular hero dude in all of derivative RPG land.
Witch Hat Atelier is a manga about a girl learning to become a witch, and has gorgeous artwork! It starts off pretty lighthearted, but gets into some of the ethical issues about controlling the use of magic.
I also really like webcomics, and since they are free it's easy to check them out to see if they are for you. Here are some non-isekai/RPG recommendations:
Gawain's Girlfriend and the Green Knight
Kill Six Billion Demons (this has a person from "our world" traveling to other universes, but none of the other isekai tropes)
Necropolis (this webcomic has been on hiatus for so long I don't think it will get finished, but I think it still worth checking out for the art alone)
Wow. Some of these are fudgin' great.
Fantasy manga where you can't go wrong;
Berserk, Claymore, Frieren, Dungeon Meshi
+1 for Claymore, often overlooked because of the more popular Berserk, it's a great fantasy manga with darker themes but I would say has a more complete and engaging story.
Frieren has been great so far
Seconding Dungeon Meshi, it does so many things right. It admittedly did kind of start out as being very referential to the tropes of RPGs (dungeon diving a as a profession, parties with different fantasy archetypes, deaths being temporary) but it really built up a unique lore and lovable and complex cast of characters that is totally worth reading
Monstress by Sana Takeda and Marjorie Liu.
Berserk by Kentaro Miura
Definitely Sandman by Neil Gaiman. That story is amazing. Also:
Books of Magic by Gaiman
Lucifer by Mike Carey
Saga by Brian K. Vaughan (more sci-fi)
Swamp Thing by Alan Moore (and others)
John Constantine, Hellblazer by various authors
The Wicked + the Divine by Kieron Gillen
Murim: The Breaker, The Breaker: New Wave, The Breaker: Eternal Force
System/Leveling: SSS-Class Suicide Hunter
Romance: Her Shim-Cheong
Otome Isekai: Your Throne
Iljin/School Bullying: My Life as a Loser
Oooo I read a few of these and they are quite nice, I should also add SSS class to mine cause I rlly enjoyed it and had been reading the novel
Murim: Legend of the Northern Blade
Fantasy: Survival Story of a Sword King in a Fantasy World
Drama: The Horizon
Thriller: Bastard
Sports: The Boxer
Post-apocalyptic: Leviathan
ooo after seeing this list I should prob catch up and finish reading the boxer
Murim:
Fantasy:
Romance: Maybe Meant to Be
Otome: For My Derelict Favorite
Murim: return of mount hua sect
Romance: windbreaker (I usually read manga for this genre so ig this would do :P)
Sport: The boxer
The school fighting thingy genre: Lookism
Fantasy: Eleceed
Drama: The horizon
Horror: bastard
Otome isekai: Doctor elise (I think this is the only one ive read for this genre and I like it lots :P )
Just finished doctor Elise bcus of ur comment and the story was rlly heartwarming. Thank you for the recommendation!
Female main character romance or the like, in another world (reincarnation or rebirth or something similar)
Holy that’s a lot, I’ve read all of the 1st ones and some of the 2nd ones and I absolutely agree with infinite levelling up in Murim (would prob be 2nd for Murim for me too)
Isekai with female leads I think
It starts really mediocre and only gets really good around 100 chs in. That's a lot of investment.
