They’re the same car though. That’s like if someone says the BMW 5 series is the best bmw and you were like: ACTUALLY the M5 is the best!

The impalla SS was essentially the hot rod version of the caprice, sure there’s some mild styling differences, but it’s just a different version of the same thing.

Back in 2012 we spent 40,000 miles with a 556-hp Cadillac CTS-V wagon, both on and off the track. We loved it. We helped build one. And when it was time, we were very sad to give it back.

Cadillac classics from the 50s and 60s are the most gorgeous cars to ever exist. Why did the Eldorado finally disappear? They stopped making them look like Eldorados. Ugly soulless squares. No wonder people didn’t want the later Eldorados. Ugly soulless husks compared to their earlier art pieces.

Chrome faces and big tail fins. I want to see CADILLACS driving down the road.

I might be alone of this but I think if the Cadillac Celestiq would look amazing with a redesign on the back of the car incorporating the classic tail fins.

Your point is valid but the 1959's were not the best ever. The best ever Cadillac easily goes to the 1957-58 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham. One could make a solid argument for the v16 Cadillacs from the 1930s also.

Looks good to me, it is a bit overpriced especially for the miles but you probably won’t find another like that, I would be cautious about the transmission, if you buy it put some transmission conditioner in it, I did to mine and it made the transmission feel so much better

Only reason I mentioned the transmission is because I see a lot of these with around 90,000-120,000 miles that need the transmission replaced, I think it’s normal for them to be a bit jerky but make sure it doesn’t slip

Get that dream boat! I had the 94 cutlass cruiser and got 300k+ out of it. Treat it nice with better grade gas. Sensors get gummy and window motors known to fail more than other parts. But other than that it’s like a couch on wheels! Congrats if it all checks out!

Bought this beauty for 1475$ only 131,000 on it. The engine looks absolutely beautiful 3.8 L. Runs like an absolute charm. Best car I've ever owned and I've had Mazda and Honda. Body has a little peeling paint, and windshield has a thin crack. But for under 1500 God damn. The interior is nice as hell too pristine. Loving this car so far, Oldsmobile for life

Looks nicer than our 92, which is in good shape @ 90k miles on the odo. Liking those aluminum wheels (we have steel w/spoke hubcaps). Clearcoat from those days wasn't that great. Minor stuff.

Not nitpicking - pointing out your rear air shocks are kaput. When the air ride system is functioning correctly the rear fender skirt line should ride just above the height of the rim, about lined up with the thin whitewall stripe on your tire (btw, those whitewalls are proper. love 'em).

-we've picked up a set of replacement rear air shocks, putting them in this summer. Will probably grab a set of replacement springs in either touring or cargo flavor, to firm up the back a bit and be a little less reliant on the air system to hold it up at level.

Anyway, cheers ! That's a boat will last you a super long time if you keep after it.

Except their website is atrocious, I downloaded a D15 mod that was broken and wanted to check and see if it had any prerequisite mods, it took me an hour to refind a vehicle I'd already downloaded because their search function is terrible and I eventually had to go through my internet history. And I only spent an hour looking through their crap because I couldn't believe how bad their search function was.

Seriously, searching D15 just brings up a bunch of forum posts talking about the truck from years ago. Never in my life have I seen such a terrible search function. Nobody wants to search through 50 unrelated forum posts looking for mods.

My thought was 2 variants of the body and frame, one would be more of the 2 door shorter muscle car, and the other would be the big engine four door heavy sedan, and then you would have the other options based on those two, so the base, luxury, drag, etc

I've told this story before, but I remember in about 95 or so seeing a what looked like a bone stock copper 87 Turbo T run a 9.90. It was almost dead quiet other than the turbo screaming. Guy rolled in on a Wednesday test n tune night where there were no safety inspections unless you were actually fast. Car should have had a cage, helmet, suit... the whole nine yards. Dude rolls up to the line and is wearing a white t-shirt, drinking a 32oz pop from a styrofoam cup, and smoking. Dude made the run, collected his time slip and just drove out the gate. Never said a word to anyone. It was amazing. This was back when running 10's was hard.

AI Answer

best oldsmobile sedan

Key Considerations for Choosing the Best Oldsmobile Sedan:

  1. Model Year: Older models, particularly from the 1990s and early 2000s, are often regarded for their reliability and comfort. The Oldsmobile Aurora (1995-2003) is a standout from this era.

  2. Engine Performance: Look for models with a V6 or V8 engine for better performance. The Aurora, for example, offered a powerful V8 option that was well-received.

  3. Comfort and Features: Oldsmobile sedans are known for their spacious interiors and comfortable rides. Features like leather seats, advanced audio systems, and climate control can enhance the driving experience.

  4. Reliability: Research the specific model's reliability ratings. The Oldsmobile Cutlass (especially the Cutlass Supreme) is often praised for its durability.

  5. Availability of Parts: Consider how easy it is to find replacement parts, as some older models may have limited availability.

Recommendations:

  • Oldsmobile Aurora (1995-2003): Known for its luxury features, powerful V8 engine, and comfortable ride. It combines performance with a premium feel.

  • Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (1988-1997): A reliable and spacious sedan with a good balance of performance and comfort. It's also easier to find parts for this model.

  • Oldsmobile Intrigue (1998-2002): Offers a modern design and a solid V6 engine, making it a good choice for those looking for a blend of style and reliability.

When choosing an Oldsmobile sedan, consider your specific needs for comfort, performance, and reliability to find the best fit for you.
