TL;DR The OnePlus 13 is currently considered the best phone by many users due to its fast performance, excellent charging speed, and overall premium feel. However, there are some concerns regarding software issues and camera quality.
Performance and Features
The OnePlus 13 has received high praise for its smooth performance and ultra-fast charging capabilities [1],
[5:1]. Users have noted that it offers a balanced top-tier experience with a premium feel compared to other flagship models like the iPhone or Samsung Galaxy
[5:1]. The phone's display has also been highlighted as one of its strong points, receiving high scores from DisplayMate
[2:3].
Camera Quality
While the OnePlus 13 excels in many areas, its camera quality has been a point of contention among users. Some have compared it unfavorably to the cameras on Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones [2:3],
[5:6]. It appears that OnePlus prioritizes other aspects of the phone over camera modules, leaving the Oppo X8 with superior camera technology
[2:5].
Software Experience
The software experience on the OnePlus 13 has been mixed. OxygenOS has been criticized for taking inspiration from iOS, leading to frustrations for some users [1:3]. Issues such as disappearing notifications, lack of widgets on the lock screen, and inconsistent photo quality due to post-processing have been reported
[5:6]. Despite these concerns, some users appreciate the improvements in OxygenOS compared to previous versions
[5].
Budget Options
For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, the OnePlus Nord 4 has been suggested as a good choice under €500 [3:1]. While it may not receive the same level of attention as flagship models, it offers solid build quality and software support for long-term use
[3:2].
Historical Favorites
Among historical favorites, the OnePlus 7 Pro stands out for its notchless screen and pop-up selfie camera [4:5], while the OnePlus 6 is remembered for its practical design, including a rear fingerprint reader and headphone jack
[4:2]
[4:3]. These models continue to be appreciated for their unique features and build quality.
I know this is probably a stupid post, but I've had everything from iPhones which I started off with years ago, pixels, Samsung, I think that's all I've ever had. But needless to say this phone which is a OnePlus 12 plus or whatever the nomenclature is, and it is just a phenomenal phone. It's fast, it charges amazingly quick, it's battery last more than all day long, I just literally have no complaints with it, I don't take a ton of pictures and I've never compared it side by side with like an iPhone or something of that nature so I don't know how much worse the video and pictures are but they seem like they're fine to me but maybe if I saw them side by side I would see that they're not that good.
Anyway I just thought I would post this year, not really necessary I suppose. But just a fantastic phone and man I couldn't be happier with it.
It is very interesting how different priorities/etc. can shape our experience with a device, because I can honestly say the OP13 is the worst and most frustrating smartphone I've ever owned. Glad you like your OnePlus, though!
Why would you say the worst and most frustrating? I'm interested in a 12 or 13 but can't decide. No where close do they have any so I'm going in blind never having held one in hand before purchasing.
Entirely due to OxygenOS. I owned a OP 7 Pro a while back and really enjoyed it, and wrongly assumed OxygenOS would remain on a similar path, but it turns out they'd been taking a lot of inspiration from iOS, which has led to an extremely frustrating experience on the OP13. That's not to say everyone will find it frustrating, and especially if you like iOS you might even enjoy it, but I'm really not a fan. Here's a pretty detailed comment I made a while ago hitting most of the reasons why I find OxygenOS to be so disappointing.
Welcome to the hidden gem side of tech
Think OnePlus is good at allot. But like camera is not the best (coming from a pixel 9 pro tbh). And the screen is Although really good, not the best.
Then again i like the fast charge and battery life. I dont use the phone allot to game and stuff, but i am not afraid to run out soon 😁
Just got my hands on the OnePlus 13, and it’s blowing my mind! Best phone ever—incredible performance, amazing charging speed
Tried to get the old aramid fiber case from them, but they only offer the rugged TPU version now. Not a fan, so I went with the aramid fiber with MagSafe from Fiberbon. Loving it so far—might be time to add a tempered glass screen protector next!
Anyone else loving theirs?
Also waiting for my OnePlus 13 white 512/16 gb Boundle. I got OnePlus 13 white dawn , OnePlus watch 2 r , OnePlus buds 3 pro and OnePlus 13 sandstone back cover. All this for 1200 euro. 14.000. Norwegian kr in Norway 🙂👍 I am looking forward for this phone , I will have it Tuesday 14 January or Wednesday 15 January.
I see many people say OnePlus 13 , don't have a good camera. I have Google pixel 9 pro xl, that's have a pretty good camera , same has Samsung Galaxy S24 ultra. But OnePlus 13 isn't that far away back. When you take pictures with your phone , open the pictures and look at your phone screen. Remember every phone have different display , how sharp it is , color ways etc etc. OnePlus 13 got a++ on display mate , the first phone to get that score. Take pictures with OnePlus 13, and open it on your computer instead. But OnePlus 13 again is ahead on display, how it's doing task , smooth like butter , and dam it's fast. Pixel 9 pro xl , is way back on how fast it's is. Remember OnePlus 13 is brand new, OnePlus will come with updates on camera software.
It is how they built the phone.
They try to set different level for Oppo X8 and OnePlus 13. They give all the best camera modules to Oppo, and let 13 settle
Video stutter is the biggest concern for me. One Plus 12 has this problem as well.
YOU GONNA USE UV GLASS ON YOUR SCREEN
Congrats, mine arrives Monday. If the oneplus 12 still has the issue, I’m guessing it doesn’t get addressed.
Hello,
i just wanted to ask, what the best Oneplus for 450-550 Euros is. I live in germany. I mainly care about the long-term usage, so build quality and software. I use my phone for social media, chatting and some photos but not regularly.
I currently use an moto g30 (4/128), so will this be an upgrade?
Thank's for any response!
OnePlus 13R
Which is above 500€...
OP, if you want to buy new, the best Oneplus below 500€ would be the Nord 4 512 Gb (399€ here in Belgium)
thought about it, but I am not sure because it is a budget phone, so less care from oneplus?
It depends, it varies region to region.
Oneplus 13r

Whether you've owned the phone or not, and including how the phone looks. (special variants like McLaren editions count)
6 - the one I'm typing this comment from. The last one to have the fingerprint reader on the back. Perfection.
Also the last OnePlus device to have an headphone jack
Same here. Blazing fast fingerprint and an headphone jack. It was the last of its kind
OnePlus One Sandstone Black
7 Pro. Nothing beats notchless/holeless screen.
any companies doing now what OnePlus did until the 7 Pro? I was about to buy the 8T but OP fans seem to be disappointed with the new launches after 7 Pro
Having a physical mute/vibrate/ring slider was the best!
I like it but the curved display on the sides has been kinda annoying to me. Still the pop up selfie cam is neat, and the specs... They still hold up imo.
I have a 3T and I absolutely love it. Im changing now to a nord CE 5G after more than 5 years. I'm changing out of necessity because the camera doesnt take sharp foto's anymore, because the battery is failing (minimal) and because the volume buttons barely respond anymore. Besides rhat, no performance issues and absolutely love the phone.
I have a 6T and I still use my 3T every few days to play a game I dont want on my 6T. Loved that phone.
definitly! had it as a daily driver from day 1 until 4 months ago and i still use it from time to time, sadly i wasnt able to get the battery changed, so it cant last the day anymore.
i havent found a phone thats as practical, especially at that price
Mee toooo! Every phone I now consider, still gets compared to its in terms of build and practically
I had OnePlus 6, 7,8 pro, 10 pro, 12 and now i have OnePlus 13. By far for me this is the best phone. Is smooth like Hell, charge is ultra fast, camera is good, screen is absolutely fantastic, performance is absolutely mind blowing, i dont know, just love this phone.
OxygenOS is returning from the dark side. Furthermore one of the color variants is white (i love white phones) and the wood case is so fucking good.
What do u think guys about your OnePlus 13?
I went from the iPhone 16 pro max to pixel 9 pro xl. To the OnePlus 13. To the s25 ultra. To the s25 edge. Back to the OnePlus 13. I feel it's the most premium feeling out of all of them and offers the most balanced top tier phone. I also love the subtle curved screen
Ngl I've gone from the 16 pro max to the s25 ultra to the pixel 9 pro and now have the OP13 ordered lmaoo. I've had several OP phones (7t, 9 pro, 10 pro, 12), idk why I keep straying from the home team to always just come back...
Why do u have so many flagships from the same yr 🥀
Oh so on your specific OP13:
Thanks. I will continue to voice these issues until Oneplus do anything about them. Not only to make them aware of the issues, but also to raise awareness to people considering buying.
I can't wait to use mine! I'm expecting it later today, I'm upgrading from a Pixel 6a!!
The Oneplus 13 and OxygenOS experience:
Great - You noticed all the issues in OnePlus 13, you could email to the OnePlus of these issues.
How do you leave feedback to 1+? They don't seem to have a dedicated feedback page.
The only thing that has bugged me personally is not being able to snooze notifications. I was used to doing that on my Pixel, a handy feature. Send that list to OnePlus. At least OnePlus does seem to listen to their loyal customers, on some issues at least. I don't see Apple or Samsung or Google doing that...
I absolutely love the phone, though they mess up some updates. Always changing things that don't need any change. (App drawer)
For me the only thing Im a TINY bit sad about is the battery life... I read some reviews, saw some videos. They claimed 2 days... That's just not true. 1 day and that's it. 6 hours of screen time on average for me.
Other than that, I'm fully happy with my phone. It is smooth, it runs all the apps I need. It has good interface. And 500 gb is sufficient storage for the next few years
I have like 11 hours from 100% to 0 of SOT. I have to say that i dont play games with the phone. Reddit, YouTube, WebSurfing, WhatsApp. I don't know why people are affected by this short SOT, it should be a bug with something.
OnePlus 7 Pro
The only truly bezel-less, no-notch, no-hole-punch phone any company has ever made (as far as I know). I don't know why OP gave up on the pop-up camera after only one device, but I'm keeping this bad boy until it dies.
So so battery life and camera. I'd say 8 pro is the best they've made. No compromises.
Oneplus 8 pro
OnePlus 7T
OnePlus 6
7pro & 7Tpro I've got all 1+ phones except for some non T variants of a model or the limited edition ones, but despite having the 8pro & 9pro I can easily say the 7pro or to be precise the 7Tpro is the best OnePlus® has made period.
Hi guys, I'm planning on finally joining in on the fun (upgrading from my old huawei p8 lite 2017 as the lineage os dev decided to stop supporting)
My question is: which oneplus phone (mainly flagships from 6 to 9) has the most users / the best lineage os experience? Are there models to avoid due to proprietary crap being in the way of main functions? (I am planning on running oos for some time and see how it feels but eventually upgrading to de googled lineage os)
Thanks for the help guys!
8t has a plenty of roms,good battery and not a crappy overheating 888/SD 8 gen 1
Can someone help me? I have a 8T. One year old. But after half year its battery was 44% health and draining fast. And its my second oneplus where i killed the charging connector. I have to move the cable in a good position to charge my phone. What am i doing wrong? Any tips? Charging methods for my next phone? Dont go below 40% dont charge to 100%..anything pls. Thank you!
Yeah 8t has been consistent, go for the 256gb one tho, the memory effeciency is horrible in my 7t pro McLaren (one plus phones).
Can confirm. Had a 8T for over 2 years now, and still 0 reason to upgrade.
How did you have the 8T for two years when it released in October of 2020? Not adding up.
OnePlus 7 Pro
I can't believe this phone is still selling for nearly what it cost new
BRING BACK THE POPUP CAMERA
8T
And also 8T is also getting support for Calyx OS soon. Only non-pixel phone to probably get it (mi a1 has support too, but it was part of the android one program)
I think it's OnePlus 6. It was the most value for money phone. A true flagship at cheaper cost.
Bought mine for ₹34 ,999 ($460) during pre-order.
It has pretty big user base, tons of custom roms, has Windows on ARM support as well as Ubuntu touch.
It received three major Android upgrades officially.
My OP6 6/64 still works amazingly.
Also heard good things about 6t, the hardware still rocks and the software seems nice, but availability is the only problem as only used devices are left
My 6T is still running strong since I ordered it day 1. Fantastic phone.
I pre-ordered my 6T in November 2018 when it was launched. It's been more than 3 years and it's as fast as new. I keep factory resetting every 6 months and got a new battery though.
3 major updates? I was wondering if it was a good deal to pick up the 8t like new for $300 I(including the 65w charger) because I was worried about support. Feeling pretty great about my decision now.
Everytime I come here, there's nothing but complaints about OnePlus. As if they're the worst phone manufacturer on the planet lol.
Personally, I've had two OnePlus phones so far. The 8 and the 9 Pro. Currently have the latter, and I'm absolutely loving it.
Had it for about a year now, and it's still just as smooth as it was out of the box. Battery life is decent enough. Screen is gorgeous. Practically zero real issues.
And even my OnePlus 8 was solid. Got pretty laggy after awhile, but it was still a good phone.
Any actual great experiences here? Share em.
I love my OnePlus 11 with OxygenOS 13.1.
It is beautiful and an absolute beast with great battery life and magic charging speeds
Come back after 2 years and let us know your overall experience. New Phones with initial periods are = Honeymoon.
3 years and 3 months since I received my OnePlus 8 Pro. LOVE IT! Never gave me any issues and still performing well.
When should I come back to report next? 5 years?
My OP9 is amazing, everything is really good and i love it! Even the battery is decent enough!
My camera glass broke of my oneplus 8 due to my stupidity. I had it for 3 years now and I believe i could get atleast 2 years more out of it.. But I needed a phone with e-sim for my travelling so i decided to upgrade to OP11.. I'm 100% sure it will also last 3 years at least
I had my OP6T for 5 years before changing to Pixel 6a and in 3 months and i sell it to buy OP11. Google never again.
OnePlus 11 is the overall best phone out there imo. Loving mine.
I love my OP9. Even with its green line (Indian model issue) I'll pick it any day over the other phones I've owned, and I've owned several Android phones. For now IOS in phones give me the ick and I don't plan on switching anytime soon. This phone is just soooo smooth. 😭💖
I also got the green line on my One Plus 8T quite recently but it's not noticeable after you get used to it.
Before this issue, I absolutely loved my 4 year old phone. Still smooth as ever.
I've been loving my OnePlus 11 upgraded from a pixel 6pro and been loving the charge speed the heat dissipation is so much better, honestly have had no real issue outta of it.
Wait till you hold the S23 Ultra. This is puby in front of it.
P.S- I own a OnePlus 11
First OnePlus phone I've had, love this thing.
Got this One Plus 13 yesterday. In the 24 hours that I've had my hands on , its became my favourite flagship in recent memory. For context, I'm someone who's switching phones pretty often( almost like a guilty pleasure). Coming from a 15 pro max, there's not a single thing i miss. In fact, I'd say Oxygen OS 15 feels more fluid and intuitive. AMA in case you're on the fence about buying this !
I've heard this kind of an input from some folks, but i think its the case with most flagships these days. My 15 pro max got screwed with iOS 18 too. So I don't know who to trust. In-case you've used a one plus flagship before, could you tell me anything that i should look out for in a potential OS update?
I'm using OP12 since first week of launch. No complaints.
I agree, I dont blame you. But thats how all industries are these days. You gotta pick your poison. All I hope is 1+ doesnt forget their flagship as they did in past.
there was a 11 and 12 in between, but its mostly due to 1. inflation and 2. the sd 8 elite costing more to make. I'd say one plus is actually quite cheap considering you can get the 13 for 65k after card offer. The phone is still much better vfm then most flagships.
I changed from a S24U to an iPhone 16 plus and now to OnePlus 13. It's screen is really great and the battery backup is as good as the best.
It feels lighter and easier to handle than the S24U and I find the OnePlus UI to be better visually which is my subjective preference.
and I find the OnePlus UI to be better visually which is my subjective preference.
Lol. Bro just said Oxygen OS is better than One UI
amazing , glad i made a good purchase ! The battery life and charging speed are truly amazing.
no.So i sold the 15 pro max outside and actually bought a one plus 12r last week. once i used it and liked it, i saw that the 13 was a solid upgrade in every aspect over it. so i traded the 12r for the 13.One plus's trade in value is pretty bad, so i'd suggest selling it on olx or cashify and then using the money to purchase this if you are looking for one. card offer was 5k discount on 69,999 for the base variant.
Nice one. Lots of trades. Been using family's old phones for so long, noticed now that Samsung offers more for an iPhone and Amazon offers the least. Looking at OnePlus because of the lifetime warranty & they have a dedicated service center here now too.
a normal temper is possible, but it won't be a neat finish because all 4 sides have a slight curve. however, i have seen non UV temper available. will probably update once i put one. The curve on this is similar to the one on the older redmi note 4 , so it wouldn't be hard to make temper glass for this. expect to see them in stock in another week both online and offline.
the cameras are definitely the most important aspect. From my testing ,it goes toe to toe with the flagships, only losing out at night. The ultra wide is the best in the market , closer to an X200 Pro. Video too is great, but its below the samsung and apple for sure. I would give it a 9/10 for photos and 8/10 for video.

Which phones did you compare it to?
I bought One Plus one at 21k. IMO it was their best phone till date
Just that really, I was the kind of dude who had to get his phone replaced every year or less because It got destroyed somehow. More than two years ago I went from a Samsung Galaxy A18 (2018) to the 7 pro. I love this phone just like the first day that I got it, It's just as fast, I just keep loving the fast charging, the cameras have a brilliant performance with the GCam mod, etc. And the best thing, the reason why im not changing it until there's another phone that can do the same... THE SCREEN WITHOUT HOLEPUNCH OR NOTCH. I guess that's the bad thing of the 7 pro, now I can't stand phones that have that black hole in the screen.
I'm still rocking my op7pro and I have no intention of upgrading any time soon. Mostly because any new phones are not really upgrades.
idk man, the new oneplus 10 pros processor would be quite alot faster than the 855. I saw some benchmarks for both and we are not talking 2x the performance but like atleast 1.5x. Imo that's quite alot.
I love mine as well, though it does stutter and drain battery rather quick now. Also, the screen is so prone to scratches, drives me insane.
Now, I just wish it received more love in terms of timely updates...
And I still miss the headphone jack.
I just wish the screen was flat so that my tempered glass screen protector wouldn't get random junk underneath it.
I don't trust myself with drops so tempered glass screen protectors are a must.
I'm still using my Op5! Replaced the battery twice myself already in the last 5 years
I will never upgrade to A11, that's people's first mistake. 7pro runs like it's brand new on A10. No issues with front pop up camera here. Wish they would release another with pop up front camera.
A11 made my op7pro so buggy that I ended up switching. Even after dropping back down to A10, the bugs persisted and became way too much to deal with.
Agreed! I bought my 7 Pro a couple months after it was available. It's still just as fast as the day I unboxed it. And all the notches and hole punches on all the new phones just make me shudder. I love the fact that my selfie camera is hidden away.
Man I miss mine. Also had it since it around the time it came out. Unfortunately the plastic usb-c piece in the charging point got so worn it stopped charging. Was going to get it repaired... And the same day it fell face down and the screen shattered. RIP little guy, you were awesome
I disagree with your statement, since oneplus 8t(or pro?) there's been 120hz screen. That's huge imo and honestly the 8t(or pro?) feels like shit after my 9pro. I think the feel of the phone and the improvements on the screen are so worth it while comparing these two, also hasselblad cameras are a big plus. I agree with not upgrading for years after buying a new phone but there is a difference and from your point of view it's quite big especially with the new oneplus 10 pro coming out.
Or the others are unlucky. 7T Pro here on Android 11, no issues either. Planning to keep going with this phone for a while longer as well.
Honestly, I wait so long between buying phones that each of my phones has been the best phone I've ever had.

Key Considerations for Choosing the Best OnePlus Phone:
Performance: Look for the latest Snapdragon processor (e.g., Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or 8+ Gen 1) for top-tier performance, especially if you use demanding apps or games.
Display: Consider AMOLED displays with high refresh rates (90Hz or 120Hz) for smoother scrolling and better visuals. A resolution of at least Full HD+ (2400 x 1080) is ideal.
Camera Quality: Evaluate the camera specifications, including megapixels, aperture size, and additional features like optical image stabilization (OIS) and night mode.
Battery Life: A battery capacity of 4500mAh or more is recommended for all-day use. Look for fast charging capabilities (e.g., Warp Charge) for quick top-ups.
Software Experience: OnePlus phones run OxygenOS, which is known for its clean interface and regular updates. Ensure the model you choose has a good track record for software support.
Recommendation: The OnePlus 11 is currently one of the best options, featuring:
If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, consider the OnePlus Nord 2T, which offers solid performance and features at a lower price point.
