TL;DR
Online Marketplaces
TCGPlayer is frequently mentioned as a reliable platform for buying Yu-Gi-Oh cards in the United States. It offers a wide selection of singles and sealed products from various vendors, making it a trusted choice within the community [3:2],
[4:7]. For those in Europe, Cardmarket is similarly recommended as a marketplace for trading card games
[2:1],
[4:2]. Both platforms allow users to compare prices across different sellers, ensuring competitive pricing.
Retail Websites
http://Coolstuffinc.com is another popular option for purchasing Yu-Gi-Oh cards. While some users note that it can be slightly more expensive than other options, it provides good service, reliable shipping, and a wide range of products [1:4],
[5:2]. http://TrollandToad.com is also mentioned as a viable option for finding cards
[4:1].
Local Game Stores and Community Groups
Supporting local game stores is encouraged not only for purchasing cards but also for trading with other players [2:2]. Additionally, community groups on platforms like Facebook or Discord can be useful for trading or purchasing cards from other collectors
[5:4].
Caution with eBay
While eBay is a common place to find Yu-Gi-Oh cards, users caution against potential issues such as inflated prices or counterfeit cards [2:1],
[4:3]. It's important to carefully read descriptions and buyer comments when purchasing from eBay to avoid these pitfalls.
Regional Options
For those in Australia, alternatives like Nakijo, Cherry Collectibles, and Chaotic Factory are suggested due to better pricing compared to eBay [2:3]. These options may provide more affordable choices for Australian buyers looking to expand their collection.
Hello every Yugioh lovers! I am a player from Asia looking for a trusted online store to buy TCG version of the coming CYHO. Since the Danger! series only available on TCG so far. I have found cardmarket.com which looks pretty decent, is it the best price that I can get with the TCG cards? Thank you.
I use www.cardbunker.co.uk, they are pretty new but had every release since Flames of Destruction and they've been awesome :)
tcgplayer.com is pretty reputable
Thank you! I will take a look on that
I enjoy Coolstuffinc.com. Easy to use, good prices, plus great shipment method
2 of those are true but the prices are overpriced. They are my local card shop so i buy from them occasionally to support the business but if you’re trying to get your moneys worth then coolstuff is not the place.
Really, for almost all the cards, I've checked TCGPlayer for prices and they were roughly the same on Coolstuff. If the price was increased it was only between $.05-.10
I personly use YGOsingles.com
Can we get a sidebar post that tells people to go to cardmarket, ebay, and tcgplayer?
This question is constantly asked, and constantly gets the same answers.
Also a sidebar that tells them that their pile of crushed chewed on cards from 2002 are most likely not worth any money.
I’ve recently been playing Duel Links and Master Duel and it’s rejuvenated my love for playing yugioh! I was hoping to maybe work up the courage to join a casual game night at my local card shop, I just don’t have any physical cards. I know that eBay is a pretty reliable source but I don’t want to get duped by fake cards. I really love playing six samurai, gravekeeper and vampire decks so I don’t want to buy any of the current structure decks or booster packs (although I don’t really mind having to get new cards). If any one knows where to get cards pls let me know! Or any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks everyone :)
The best place to buy cards, or trade for them, is always your local game store. They need the business, and other players aren't bringing their trades every night for nothing.
Barring that, cardmarket and TCGPlayer, for Europe and the USA respectively, are the places to go for singles.
Thanks ! I’ll make sure to ask around next time I’m there, I just wasn’t sure how likely it was as I haven’t played yugioh irl since I was pretty young
in europe it's usually cardmarket.com in us it is tcgplayer.com. Those 2 are marketplace for products. ebay is not recommended due to their price is not that competitive most of the time, but once in blue moon you might see some good deals compared to marketplace price.
Other option is local game shop facebook/discord group. They usually have one that either sell/trade. Or you can look up on /r/YGOMarketplace/
Unfortunately I’m in Aus (Sorry I probably should have mentioned that above) so the eu / us market doesn’t really apply, but I’ll look at the subreddit, thank you !
if you are in Aus then do not use eBay if possible, the mark up is horrible
try using something like Nakijo, Cherry Collectibles or Chaotic Factory. I think they're Melbourne based but the prices are so much cheaper than eBay.
I'm selling my collection at a big discount, PM me if you're interested.
i used to play back when i was in elementary, but i never had my own deck as i borrowed from my friend in order to play. i’ve been around multiple target stores but they have no cards, is there anywhere else i can buy yugioh?
I know it's been said a million times before but just go with TCG Player.
If you have Amazon Prime though I would say Amazon is good if you're purely looking for booster boxes, sealed product, structure decks, etc. since you get the free 2 day shipping.
For singles though, TCGPlayer is always a safe bet. Widely used and trusted in the community.
Using Amazon for booster boxes is a terrible idea, too may cases of resealing packs for me to be comfortable.
If you're in America, use tcgplayer or if you're in Europe, use [cardmarket](http://www cardmarket.com)
As others have said, TCG Player is a great choice. Target is pretty bad for me too, the card section is kind of crammed in the middle of the other collectables near the book/music/DVD section in the back of the store. You might be able to find stuff at other big name grocery stores like Walmart- in my case, cards are behind a checkout counter and totally walled off, like tobacco products.
One of my favorite recommendations is to check and see if you have a card store nearby. Use this link to see if there's any OTS (Official Tournament Store) nearby. You don't strictly need to buy from an OTS, but OTS have direct support from Konami, and once you have a deck to play, you can play there and get to know your local scene!
Where do you live? Other than the websites that were suggested, Google local card shops.
I’ve checked several websites like gamenerdz, coretcg, ideal808, tcgplayer. But I’m new to Yugioh and I’d like to know the best places to make orders
cardmarket for eu and tcgplayer for na is generally recommended
Coolstuffinc and eBay, I find Coolstuffinc cheaper than Tcgplayer a lot of the time. Tcgplayer is a good site too. Ebay you can find some good prices but you have to be careful, the prices can be high and you should always read the discriptions and read buyer comments. I bought 1 card thinking I bought 3 cause the seller had a picture of 3 cards instead 1, which most sellers put a pic of 3 if they're selling 3 cards. Had to contact ebay on a purchase, reading a few comments after that the seller never sent the buyers their cards.
Check out cardtrader. The zero service they offer is quite good actually and I think it’s for both Europe and Nord America
What's zero service?
When you are looking for singles, there is the button for buying in blue I think, while there could be another button red with “zero” on it and you can choose which one doing. You can buy from all the seller you want, but as long as all those cards have the zero service, you will pay only one shipping fee. Furthermore the ordered cards will be checked by the operators in the hq, so you will also have a guarantee of the conditions of the cards. The waiting time range is 1-4 weeks and it depends on the sellers, but imo it’s worth waiting
Try using cardmarket
I use tcgplayer all the time in the US. If you're buying several cards it's (usually) worth it to buy them all from the same seller on tcgplayer even if they don't have the lowest price for the cards you're getting. Though it isn't always possible of course
Try Coolstuffinc
TrollandToad.com works for me. And ebay.com too
Hello, I've never really played the game, but I have a few figures. I have always wanted to learn, but I'm more of a collector at this point. My local scene is basically MTG only, is there a suggested website anyone would recommend? I have purchased from eBay, Mercari, and Troll and Toad, but I was curious if I could find more elsewhere. Looking heavily for Yu-Gi-Oh clix.
I buy a lot from coolstuffinc.com. Great place to buy singles, as well as sealed product.
They are as a whole, a tad bit more expensive than buying through Facebook. But, you are purchasing from a company that backs their product has tracking and is responsible.
Thank you! I honestly forgot about coolstuffinc.
Hey, I actually have a massive sale list, in case you were interested (both new and used, lowest prices available): https://www.reddit.com/r/HeroClix2/s/zhUNBbGDbB
Thank you for sharing this! I took a quick glance and saw some I may come back for. Thank you again!
The Facebook trade and sell group would be good. A lot of people horde those Yugi clix though.
Is there a particular group you’ve had luck with?
Heroclix international trading and selling section
Okay cool, thank you for letting me know! Yeah, I've noticed. There's not many on the actual market.
Ebay has almost everything you could want or need
Yeah, there's a decent amount on eBay. Thank you!
I have the vast majority of the yugioh clix. PM me with what you're looking for and want to spend.
As the title says, just wondering where the best place to go is.
For online: Cherry Collectables, Nakijo, Chaotic Factory and TTBAC are a few examples of the stores I used personally.
Just to add on:
GenesisTCG is also quite good but low on stock
Best place for prices AND delivery times (usually) is Yugioh Sales and Trades Australia facebook. To join, just make sure to fill out the form and what locals you play at/want to play at so that they know you aren't a scammer. Prices are good and you can haggle down prices on some sellers if they are nice. You want to have paypal setup and pay the G/S fee so you can charge-back if you never get your cards.. NEVER pay using bank transfer unless you know the person is 100% genuine and has a lot of rep.
Ebay is my last resort and good sellers are Australian TCG Collectibles and aussietcgpro. Be warned that ebay has the worse prices but if you really need the card then go for it.
ygo facebook pages, Yugioh Sales and Trades I think is the main one
Game centre is one I regularly buy from, great if you're local. https://thegamecenter.store/
also, most locals will have bulk commons/rares you can go through and buy for about 20c each, they’re usually not very good but you might find a hidden treasure
I would add card realm also
I'm finishing up some decks I've always wanted, then selling the rest of my collection that isn't used, approx. 3-4000 cards. Best place to buy singles? Preferably boxes full of cards you can go through, not just $30+ ones in a glass case. Best place to sell? Trying to support as much locally as I can before buying/selling online.
I'd say Dragons lair, but you'd need to call them and schedule a time to bring the cards in so they can take a look
Thanks!
Hi all, I’m fairly new to this hobby and was wondering what the best places online are? I’m familiar with card galaxy and chaos cards etc but if there are any others I should know about please do let me know. Thank you
My go to are Smyths, Magic Madhouse, Chaos cards, Zavvi, Zatu/ www.board-game.co.uk, and of course the Pokemon Centre UK.
I have always used chaoscards and totalcards both well known online shops
Welcome to the hobby!
Depending on what you're actually interested in buying, there are different answers.
If you're looking for physical product and to rip cards... it's a little complicated at the moment as the hobby as a whole has seen a significant boom in recent months - the biggest since COVID for sure. That's not to say it's impossible, but depending on where you're based it might be tricky.
As far as stores go, I'd say Argos is your most reliable option for sure. Always has good offers available and restocks consistently, plus you get the added bonus of being able to see exactly what's in stock and order whatever you want for collection. The 2 tins for £15 deal especially is excellent value (if it's available near you). The only "downside" is you don't know the tins till they arrive. Most supermarkets (Asda, Sainsbury's, Tesco, etc.) can be good, but they're all a bit inconsistent too in terms of what they sell - my local Tesco has had a few weeks run of having no stock, but a day's back it was full of Crown Zenith tins! Other toy stores and card/hobby related stores might also be good places to check!
If you're after specific products, websites like Chaos Cards, Magic Madhouse and Obsidia TCG will probably be your best bet. All super reliable although some have had their issues with each, especially in recent times, but they can all offer great prices if you time it right. If you're after Japanese product specifically then Japan2UK is your safest bet!
If you ever want singles, Ebay is your best friend speaking from personal experience. There are other sites out there like Cardmarket, but I've not used these so I can't comment on it. I'd avoid online stores for single cards though as I find their prices to be significantly more expensive (I assume they set their prices to what they were on release and never change it). Going back to ebay, as long as the seller has good feedback you should be good, just make sure to do your due diligence first! But the site is simple enough to use to get a good look at the card first (assuming the buyer has provided good quality ones) and you can use the filters to find the best deals possible!
Apologies for the super long message but hopefully this helps in some way! Happy to answer any other questions you might have too, hope everything goes well! :)
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the time you took to answer—this was super helpful!
I love ripping packs, especially since it’s something I get to do with my nephew. For me, the best part is the thrill of it all! I originally got into it because of 151, but I quickly realized that wasn’t going to happen 😂, so we switched to Obsidian Flames and whatever packs we can find at reasonable prices. I was really excited for Prismatic since I love Eevee, but I know those packs aren’t easy to get, and I refuse to pay those crazy prices.
Everyone here has been amazing with their suggestions, and I can’t wait to check them out!
I do have one question (and I hope this doesn’t sound stupid)—as someone who just loves ripping packs, what’s the best product to focus on? I know booster bundles are a great deal when they’re on offer, but I’m not too sure about things like tins and Poké Ball tins. I love collecting promo and full-art illustration cards, but I’ve never really looked into those products. Would love to hear your thoughts!
If you don’t mind the language barrier, Japanese is a very good substitute to ripping English. It’s more fun aswell as each box is seeded so you will get hits in every box, whereas English can be abysmal. Japanese is also much cheaper than its English counterpart and the quality of the cards are much better.
You're very welcome, I'm happy to help! :)
151 is still borderline possible, it's just finding prices at RRP that's tricky as I don't think there's been an official UK print/release for well over a year now. Any new releases has just been random stores somehow getting the smallest allocation. If you're a Costco member, look out for the Blooming Waters box which is supposed to release any day now. Other than that, any LCS should have packs available to buy, but annoyingly prices will range anywhere between £8-12 for single packs now, so not the most ideal!
Also, your question isn't stupid whatsoever!! As far as ripping goes, I think your best bet generally will simply be booster bundles, ETBs and Booster Boxes. They're generally the easiest to buy and also the quickest way to determine the prices per pack if you choose to buy single packs.
The other sealed items like mini tins and Pokeball tins are good too, but they come with the "negative" of you not knowing the exact contents inside them (unless they're special set ones like the 151/Paldean Fates mini tins). Pokeball Tins will have a little code on them somewhere (it'll be like C22, D24, etc.) And you can research online to see the exact contents. You could get lucky and find some SWSH packs, or get unlucky and just get some of the newer releases. Collection Boxes could be good too to help you get illustration/art cards! There's a new Lillie Gym Box... thing releasing soon for example which you might be interested in! (Plus it has 6 packs from mostly good sets)
And lastly, the good thing about collecting is that there's so many different sets to focus on. As far as they go, I'd just say to pick the chase cards you like most! For example, I'm not a big fan of most of the new Paradox Pokemon so I just stay clear of Temporal Forces because even if I get lucky and hit one of the top cards, I wouldn't even be too excited. My personal favourite sets so far have been Paldea Evolved, 151 and Surging Sparks!
oh for sure check out the usual suspects like amazon and ebay but don't sleep on facebook marketplace n local trading groups. sometimes peeps just wanna get rid of stuff quick and you can grab a bargain. also keep an eye on hotukdeals they sometimes have good stuff popping up. gotta be fast tho deals go quick on there.
Title pretty much explains it all, I just started playing yugioh and I got 3 zombie horde structure decks but I'm being told from people who are way better then me to get certain cards like vampire sucker. But the card is a different price on every website and I can't decide. So what website do you recommend for someone in the UK. And if you could give me some card advice that would be good too Thank you very much
If I had a store near me I would surely invest there but as I don't I buy on Cardmarket, cards are so cheap there that it almost seems like a scam but it's a good and save website
Tcg players is really reliable for singles. You can also get products like duel devastator for cheaper than most retail stores like target or Walmart. Good luck!
Suggesting TCGplayer to someone in the UK might not be the best idea since the shipping would be through the roof.
Ebay or Cardmarket.
TCGPlayer.com or a local card shop
Support your local card store. Cards stores go out of business all the time due to people buying online. Spend the extra 1-2 dollars and keep the store alive so you can have a place to play.
I wish! Closest card shop that sells singles is in Birmingham! A good 3 hour train XD
I mean, all the card stores I know of have their own online stores anyway. I don't think purely brick and mortar stores even exist anymore. But maybe that's just because of Canadian population density.
I mean shops can sell singles in cardmarket. My local shop does that
Hell my card shop is usually cheaper than online prices if anything
It's just the problem that you can't buy singles at small local stores and sealed products are often times not worth it.
Do most of you guys buy your stuff from comic book stores? Thats where I usually get mine but its always in passing and there's never a huge selection. Is there a preferred site you guys use for booster packs and what not? I know I could use Amazon but wasn't sure if there were better options.
If you in europe than I suggest Cardmarket (very good platform and cheaper)
Dont have much exprience with TCGplayer, but my second option is always ebay, its somehow for me better than Amazon.
Tcgplayer and eBay
Just checked tcgplayer. Actually pretty good damn. The sorting for cards is awesome. Ive been looking for more tamer and liberator type cards and seems like I'll be able to find them now.
TCGPlayer for singles, and my LGS/big retail stores for packs.
Why tcg only for singles? Do they not do booster packs?
They do sell packs, but you can't guarantee hits from ones on TCGPlayer as anyone selling individual packs could have only sold the packs from their box they had after they got all their hits (SR and Alt Arts) from (though this could rarely mean they miss an SP or signed card), and some people will try to sell boxes that aren't sealed, which means at least you might miss out on box toppers at the least, and at worst you might get one where someone swapped the pack contents with poor cards from another game (iirc there was someone within the last month or two who posted about one such box where the packs had been filled with dead Yu-Gi-Oh pulls from the latest set instead of any cards from Digimon).
Pretty much, it's just safer to buy sealed product if and only if you can see it is already sealed when you buy it, something you can't guarantee with online sales outside of ones for product ordered from the Premium Bandai storefront (which is all pre-orders and special product).
Because none of the LGS by me sell Digimon singles lol. 🤷♀️
As for packs, TCGPlayer rarely sells blisters (such as this one), so there’s no guarantee that the loose packs you buy aren’t just leftovers from a box, after the “hit” cards have already been opened, or worse: resealed.
Yes, but its usually more inflated, and at that point you can support your locals for the same price
Almost no one in my city of 949k carry enough, or even play it. I’m desperately waiting on the app.
I get most of mine from the digimon tcg 2020 discord. People sell around 80-85% of tcgplayer

Key Considerations for Buying Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Cards:
Local Game Stores: Check out local game shops or hobby stores. They often have a dedicated community, host tournaments, and carry a variety of singles and booster packs.
Online Retailers: Websites like TCGPlayer, eBay, and Amazon offer a wide selection of cards, often at competitive prices. TCGPlayer is particularly good for singles.
Specialty Websites: Consider sites like Cardmarket (in Europe) or Troll and Toad, which specialize in trading cards and often have good deals.
Condition and Authenticity: Ensure that the cards are in good condition (NM, LP, etc.) and that you're buying from reputable sellers to avoid counterfeits.
Shipping Costs: Factor in shipping costs when buying online, as they can significantly affect the total price.
Recommendation: If you're looking for a mix of convenience and variety, TCGPlayer is highly recommended for its extensive inventory and user-friendly interface. For local purchases and community engagement, visiting a local game store can enhance your experience and allow you to connect with other players.
