TL;DR
TCGPlayer
TCGPlayer is frequently recommended as the go-to platform for purchasing Yu-Gi-Oh cards in North America, particularly in the US [1:1]
[2:1]
[3:4]. It offers a wide selection of cards, buyer protection, and support services, making it a trusted choice among collectors and players
[2:6]. However, shipping costs and times can vary significantly depending on your location, with international buyers facing higher fees and longer wait times
[2:1].
Cardmarket
For those residing in Europe, Cardmarket is the preferred option [1:1]
[3:2]
[5:5]. It provides a marketplace tailored to European customers, offering competitive prices and a broad range of cards. The platform's zero service feature allows buyers to consolidate purchases from multiple sellers into one shipment, potentially reducing shipping costs and ensuring quality checks
[3:5]
[3:7].
Alternative Options
While TCGPlayer and Cardmarket are popular choices, other platforms like Coolstuffinc, TrollandToad, and eBay are also mentioned as viable options [3:1]
[3:8]. Coolstuffinc sometimes offers better prices than TCGPlayer, but caution is advised when buying from eBay due to potential issues with product descriptions and seller reliability
[3:3].
Local card shops may offer online ordering and are worth checking out, especially if they provide convenient shipping or pickup options [5:4]. Additionally, online communities such as Facebook groups and Reddit can be good places to buy directly from other collectors, often at reduced prices compared to retail

[5:1].
Considerations Beyond the Discussions
When choosing where to buy Yu-Gi-Oh cards online, consider factors such as shipping costs, delivery times, and the level of buyer protection offered by the platform. It's also beneficial to read reviews and ratings of sellers to ensure a positive purchasing experience.
Was curious where you guys shop the most online, I hear a lot of people say tcgplayer, I’ve personally used eBay in the past, I also notice Amazon has cards as well, what do you guys recommend the most?
TCG player is good, but buying from people directly is always going to be the best if you are willing to put in the work. Facebook groups and buying from people at your locals is usually the way to go if you can, you can get 60-70% of TCG player if you know where to look.
Amazon and Ebay definitely has cards, including a lot more resealed products and infinitely less cards to pick from. If ur from US use TCGplayer and if you are from EU use Cardmarket
TCGplayer
Generally the best place to buy cards online is TCGplayer in America and Cardmarket in Europe.
I'm looking to buy some blue eyes alternative white dragons and I found a seller on TCGPlayer.com who has 3 of them. Is there a way to directly contact the seller or is there a different website that's more trusted?
Depends ultimately on where you live. TCGplayer tends to be the best, but because I live in Australia I have to pay huge shipping fees and it takes about a month for cards to arrive, I use different sites. If you're based in the US though, TCGplayer is probably the best option out there.
Where do you buy cards from? Im also australian and want to know.
NZ here, TCGCollecrorNZ is my go to, a friend in Aus says it's somehow better for him than any of the ones actually in Aus, go figure.
Generally TCGPlayer is the most trusted, do you not trust TCGPlayer? I can't really figure out why you wouldn't want the TCGPlayer support behind you in case of issues
I've never bought cards from there before and was just wondering what everyone else's opinions were. I didn't even know they had a support team in case there's an issue. I'll probably go with them, thanks!
Ahhh sorry for assuming! Yeah Its a HUUUGE relief having their official support team behind you when there's an issue, definitely the best US site for cards!
I’ve checked several websites like gamenerdz, coretcg, ideal808, tcgplayer. But I’m new to Yugioh and I’d like to know the best places to make orders
cardmarket for eu and tcgplayer for na is generally recommended
Coolstuffinc and eBay, I find Coolstuffinc cheaper than Tcgplayer a lot of the time. Tcgplayer is a good site too. Ebay you can find some good prices but you have to be careful, the prices can be high and you should always read the discriptions and read buyer comments. I bought 1 card thinking I bought 3 cause the seller had a picture of 3 cards instead 1, which most sellers put a pic of 3 if they're selling 3 cards. Had to contact ebay on a purchase, reading a few comments after that the seller never sent the buyers their cards.
I use tcgplayer all the time in the US. If you're buying several cards it's (usually) worth it to buy them all from the same seller on tcgplayer even if they don't have the lowest price for the cards you're getting. Though it isn't always possible of course
Try Coolstuffinc
Check out cardtrader. The zero service they offer is quite good actually and I think it’s for both Europe and Nord America
What's zero service?
When you are looking for singles, there is the button for buying in blue I think, while there could be another button red with “zero” on it and you can choose which one doing. You can buy from all the seller you want, but as long as all those cards have the zero service, you will pay only one shipping fee. Furthermore the ordered cards will be checked by the operators in the hq, so you will also have a guarantee of the conditions of the cards. The waiting time range is 1-4 weeks and it depends on the sellers, but imo it’s worth waiting
Try using cardmarket
TrollandToad.com works for me. And ebay.com too
Tcgplayer.com for singles
A locals OTS!
If you’re from Europe, card market is the go to
does anybody know any good places to buy yugioh cards from online, im getting back into the tcg after years. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Where do you live? Its TCGplayer for US (and Canada?), cardmarket for Europe.
i live in canada, and thanks for the help i appreciate it
If EU then Cardmarket. I've made several purchases through them.
Also check you local card shop if they have a website. You can usually order online and ship it for very cheap since it's local, or even just pick it up.
I also look at online tcg stores in Canada and order them there since the shipping will be very cheap (I'm canadian based)
"Cardmarket" for Europe, "TCG Player" for the US.
tcgpplayer is great here in the US, but there's also groups here on reddit and also facebook where people sell too. Tcgplayer offers more buyer protection though
Hello, I've never really played the game, but I have a few figures. I have always wanted to learn, but I'm more of a collector at this point. My local scene is basically MTG only, is there a suggested website anyone would recommend? I have purchased from eBay, Mercari, and Troll and Toad, but I was curious if I could find more elsewhere. Looking heavily for Yu-Gi-Oh clix.
I buy a lot from coolstuffinc.com. Great place to buy singles, as well as sealed product.
They are as a whole, a tad bit more expensive than buying through Facebook. But, you are purchasing from a company that backs their product has tracking and is responsible.
Thank you! I honestly forgot about coolstuffinc.
Hey, I actually have a massive sale list, in case you were interested (both new and used, lowest prices available): https://www.reddit.com/r/HeroClix2/s/zhUNBbGDbB
Thank you for sharing this! I took a quick glance and saw some I may come back for. Thank you again!
The Facebook trade and sell group would be good. A lot of people horde those Yugi clix though.
Is there a particular group you’ve had luck with?
Heroclix international trading and selling section
Okay cool, thank you for letting me know! Yeah, I've noticed. There's not many on the actual market.
Ebay has almost everything you could want or need
Yeah, there's a decent amount on eBay. Thank you!
I have the vast majority of the yugioh clix. PM me with what you're looking for and want to spend.
I want to make a fun Egyptian God card deck to faff around with my friends exodia deck. On Amazon, I found it for 85 dollars, do you guys know a good site where I can buy cards?
and if you're in canada, Facetoface, or order from one of the main US sites that isnt TCGplayer cuz most sellers there wont ship to canada
Pretty sure trollandtoad do... or Atleast they buy from us lol
Never use troll & toad. Too many horror stories
they do. coolstuff as well but i wouldnt recommend them myself
If you are in Europe use Cardmarket and if you are in the US use TCGplayer.
TCGplayer? Got it. Thanks.
Shop in bulk from as few shippers as possible.
Title pretty much explains it all, I just started playing yugioh and I got 3 zombie horde structure decks but I'm being told from people who are way better then me to get certain cards like vampire sucker. But the card is a different price on every website and I can't decide. So what website do you recommend for someone in the UK. And if you could give me some card advice that would be good too Thank you very much
Support your local card store. Cards stores go out of business all the time due to people buying online. Spend the extra 1-2 dollars and keep the store alive so you can have a place to play.
Hell my card shop is usually cheaper than online prices if anything
I mean, all the card stores I know of have their own online stores anyway. I don't think purely brick and mortar stores even exist anymore. But maybe that's just because of Canadian population density.
I mean shops can sell singles in cardmarket. My local shop does that
I wish! Closest card shop that sells singles is in Birmingham! A good 3 hour train XD
It's just the problem that you can't buy singles at small local stores and sealed products are often times not worth it.
Tcg players is really reliable for singles. You can also get products like duel devastator for cheaper than most retail stores like target or Walmart. Good luck!
Suggesting TCGplayer to someone in the UK might not be the best idea since the shipping would be through the roof.
TCGPlayer.com or a local card shop
Ebay or Cardmarket.
If I had a store near me I would surely invest there but as I don't I buy on Cardmarket, cards are so cheap there that it almost seems like a scam but it's a good and save website
Most shops are sold out or don’t have packs in looking for I’d like to buy and elemental hero deck but I don’t even know where to buy the cards individually or a deck as a whole.
TCGPlayer if in US/Canada or Cardmarket in Europe.
Try to find a trade groups for a specific card shop in your area on other social media's like Facebook. Odds are you'll find people trading or selling deck cores for money or cards. Otherwise, depending on where you live. Check out the likes of CardMarket(Europe) and tcgplayer/trollntoad(America) for single cards.
If your in Europe try cardmarket, if your in the uk try to only buy from uk sellers do to brexit you may have to pay import tax.
You might have picked a bad time to get into elemental hero’s though with the new card coming out that uses a destiny dude and elemental hero, hero’s are getting expensive
TCGPlayer is what I’ve used
Do they sell packs as well or just single cards?
They sell pretty much everything pertaining to cards. Singles, packs, boxes, deck boxes, sleeves, etc.
Both
TCGPlayer.com best website for buying cards. Or EBay if you’re trying to buy a specific deck core
I’ve never bought off eBay wound you say it’s safe and reliable?
If you read the customer reviews of the eBay sellers, you can get a good idea if they’re reliable. I’ve never had problems. Just don’t buy from someone who has a bunch of negative reviews 😂
And amazon at a distant 3rd...
Hi all, I’m fairly new to this hobby and was wondering what the best places online are? I’m familiar with card galaxy and chaos cards etc but if there are any others I should know about please do let me know. Thank you
My go to are Smyths, Magic Madhouse, Chaos cards, Zavvi, Zatu/ www.board-game.co.uk, and of course the Pokemon Centre UK.
I have always used chaoscards and totalcards both well known online shops
Welcome to the hobby!
Depending on what you're actually interested in buying, there are different answers.
If you're looking for physical product and to rip cards... it's a little complicated at the moment as the hobby as a whole has seen a significant boom in recent months - the biggest since COVID for sure. That's not to say it's impossible, but depending on where you're based it might be tricky.
As far as stores go, I'd say Argos is your most reliable option for sure. Always has good offers available and restocks consistently, plus you get the added bonus of being able to see exactly what's in stock and order whatever you want for collection. The 2 tins for £15 deal especially is excellent value (if it's available near you). The only "downside" is you don't know the tins till they arrive. Most supermarkets (Asda, Sainsbury's, Tesco, etc.) can be good, but they're all a bit inconsistent too in terms of what they sell - my local Tesco has had a few weeks run of having no stock, but a day's back it was full of Crown Zenith tins! Other toy stores and card/hobby related stores might also be good places to check!
If you're after specific products, websites like Chaos Cards, Magic Madhouse and Obsidia TCG will probably be your best bet. All super reliable although some have had their issues with each, especially in recent times, but they can all offer great prices if you time it right. If you're after Japanese product specifically then Japan2UK is your safest bet!
If you ever want singles, Ebay is your best friend speaking from personal experience. There are other sites out there like Cardmarket, but I've not used these so I can't comment on it. I'd avoid online stores for single cards though as I find their prices to be significantly more expensive (I assume they set their prices to what they were on release and never change it). Going back to ebay, as long as the seller has good feedback you should be good, just make sure to do your due diligence first! But the site is simple enough to use to get a good look at the card first (assuming the buyer has provided good quality ones) and you can use the filters to find the best deals possible!
Apologies for the super long message but hopefully this helps in some way! Happy to answer any other questions you might have too, hope everything goes well! :)
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the time you took to answer—this was super helpful!
I love ripping packs, especially since it’s something I get to do with my nephew. For me, the best part is the thrill of it all! I originally got into it because of 151, but I quickly realized that wasn’t going to happen 😂, so we switched to Obsidian Flames and whatever packs we can find at reasonable prices. I was really excited for Prismatic since I love Eevee, but I know those packs aren’t easy to get, and I refuse to pay those crazy prices.
Everyone here has been amazing with their suggestions, and I can’t wait to check them out!
I do have one question (and I hope this doesn’t sound stupid)—as someone who just loves ripping packs, what’s the best product to focus on? I know booster bundles are a great deal when they’re on offer, but I’m not too sure about things like tins and Poké Ball tins. I love collecting promo and full-art illustration cards, but I’ve never really looked into those products. Would love to hear your thoughts!
If you don’t mind the language barrier, Japanese is a very good substitute to ripping English. It’s more fun aswell as each box is seeded so you will get hits in every box, whereas English can be abysmal. Japanese is also much cheaper than its English counterpart and the quality of the cards are much better.
You're very welcome, I'm happy to help! :)
151 is still borderline possible, it's just finding prices at RRP that's tricky as I don't think there's been an official UK print/release for well over a year now. Any new releases has just been random stores somehow getting the smallest allocation. If you're a Costco member, look out for the Blooming Waters box which is supposed to release any day now. Other than that, any LCS should have packs available to buy, but annoyingly prices will range anywhere between £8-12 for single packs now, so not the most ideal!
Also, your question isn't stupid whatsoever!! As far as ripping goes, I think your best bet generally will simply be booster bundles, ETBs and Booster Boxes. They're generally the easiest to buy and also the quickest way to determine the prices per pack if you choose to buy single packs.
The other sealed items like mini tins and Pokeball tins are good too, but they come with the "negative" of you not knowing the exact contents inside them (unless they're special set ones like the 151/Paldean Fates mini tins). Pokeball Tins will have a little code on them somewhere (it'll be like C22, D24, etc.) And you can research online to see the exact contents. You could get lucky and find some SWSH packs, or get unlucky and just get some of the newer releases. Collection Boxes could be good too to help you get illustration/art cards! There's a new Lillie Gym Box... thing releasing soon for example which you might be interested in! (Plus it has 6 packs from mostly good sets)
And lastly, the good thing about collecting is that there's so many different sets to focus on. As far as they go, I'd just say to pick the chase cards you like most! For example, I'm not a big fan of most of the new Paradox Pokemon so I just stay clear of Temporal Forces because even if I get lucky and hit one of the top cards, I wouldn't even be too excited. My personal favourite sets so far have been Paldea Evolved, 151 and Surging Sparks!
oh for sure check out the usual suspects like amazon and ebay but don't sleep on facebook marketplace n local trading groups. sometimes peeps just wanna get rid of stuff quick and you can grab a bargain. also keep an eye on hotukdeals they sometimes have good stuff popping up. gotta be fast tho deals go quick on there.

Key Considerations for Buying Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards Online
Reputation and Trustworthiness: Choose well-known retailers or marketplaces with positive reviews to ensure you're buying authentic cards.
Selection and Availability: Look for sites that offer a wide range of cards, including singles, booster packs, and sealed products.
Pricing: Compare prices across different platforms to find the best deals. Be cautious of prices that seem too low, as they may indicate counterfeit products.
Shipping Costs and Policies: Check the shipping fees and delivery times. Some sites may offer free shipping on orders over a certain amount.
Return Policy: Ensure the retailer has a clear return policy in case you receive damaged or incorrect items.
Recommended Online Retailers:
TCGPlayer: A popular marketplace for trading card games, offering a vast selection of singles and sealed products from various sellers.
Cardmarket (Europe): A leading platform in Europe for buying and selling trading cards, with a user-friendly interface and competitive prices.
eBay: A well-known auction site where you can find both new and used cards. Look for sellers with high ratings and positive feedback.
Amazon: Offers a wide range of Yu-Gi-Oh! products, but be sure to check seller ratings and reviews for authenticity.
Local Game Stores (LGS) Online: Many local game stores have online shops. Supporting them helps your local gaming community while often providing unique products.
Tip: Always check for the condition of the cards (e.g., mint, near mint, lightly played) before purchasing, especially for singles, to ensure you get what you expect.
