Corset Story
Corset Story is highly recommended for its variety of styles and excellent quality. They offer corsets that are comfortable enough to wear all day, provide great back support, and have a reliable return policy [1:1]. This UK-based brand is praised for its customer service, making it a great choice for first-time buyers.
Orchard Corset
Orchard Corset is another popular option, especially for those looking for affordability and simplicity. They provide an online fit guide with pictures and videos, and offer the option to chat with someone about sizing and style [1:2]. While their designs are simpler compared to brands like Dark Garden, they are well-suited for versatile everyday wear.
Mystic City Corsets
Mystic City Corsets is recommended for its well-made products and variety of styles. Located in Texas, this brand is known for its durable corsets suitable for daily wear [5:3]. They are also mentioned as having storefronts in Texas, although it's unclear if they have a physical store in Dallas
[4:3].
Timeless Trends
Timeless Trends offers longline corsets that are praised for their quality and comfort [5:5]. They are part of the recommended brands within the tightlacing community, ensuring good value for money and safety.
Online Marketplaces and Other Recommendations
For casual or more affordable options, platforms like eBay, Etsy, and Depop can be useful [2:2]
[2:4]. Additionally, Glassons and White Fox have been noted for their trendy corset designs
[2:1]
[2:5]. For those interested in historical patterns, Redthreaded is a notable mention
[5:1].
When shopping online, it's important to check size charts and measurements provided by sellers to ensure a proper fit [4:1]. Lucy Corsetry is a valuable resource for advice on corset fitting and reviews
[4:2].
I don't have a price limit, just looking for it to be sexy, functional, and strong.
I like orchard corset! They have amazing customer service, an online fit guide (with pictures and videos), and the option to chat with someone about what style and size would best suit you. And they’re so affordable. Also they’re US based too if that makes any difference.
Oh but their styles are much simpler than say dark garden, but for me the price difference drove my decision. I do love the designs of dark garden, with all their lace details and I feel their fabric patterns look much more elegant. However I wanted something more simple and versatile for my first purchase.
Lace embrace from vancouver b.c.
Mm! I've bought several corsets from a UK brand called Corset Story and they have a lot of really cute styles! Also the QUALITY is super excellent. Like I wear the corsets as tops sometimes (all day) and they're super comfortable and provide great back support.
Their return policy is really good too (I've had to exchange 2 corsets because they were the wrong size and it was really painless because you could track the return to the warehouse as well as the shipping to you). ALSO you can ask loads of questions and customer service gets back to you pretty quickly (in my experience anyway).
So I totally recommend them. They also have 2 for 1 or even 3 for 1 sales quite often and you can get really great quality corsets for much cheaper than they originally were (they're pretty pricey otherwise--at least for my college student self).
So ya, not sponsored (god, I WISH) but I just really like and trust them.
P.s. Definitely look at the sizing chart and make sure it's the one you're looking for (i.e. UK 6 is VERY DIFFERENT from US6)
Omg I am going to buy one! What a great find! Thank you thank you!!
Hey thanks!!
No problem! Glad I could help
I'm looking to buy some corsets, but not the Halloween or gothic style, but the more casual style that I would wear to dinner. I found the nice ones from House of CB in David Jones, but I want some that are more affordable. Does anyone have any recommendations?
EBay is a good place to check sometimes. I collect corsets and get them from all over including eBay, Etsy and Facebook marketplace but mine are historical or historically inspired ones so not quite what you’re looking for I think?
we have a lovely black linen one on archival, https://archival.co.nz/products/superette-black-linen-shirred-corset-s?_pos=1&_psq=corset&_ss=e&_v=1.0, tracked courier to aus usually takes about a week.
RQ the label! And you can get heaps on depop people are reselling too
Lots of people disagree on the brand and supporting them but I have a couple from white fox and they are really good. They have sales often so just wait so they will be super cheap.
Glassons always comes out with a viral corset, they did have one flattering strapless one a month ago but it’s sold out now.
Heyy! Does anyone know where I can buy a cute corset or some sexy tops in Paris please?
Livy maybe?
I tried buying a corset on Amazon, and I accidentally got the wrong size T—T
This time I want to try and go in store and see, or if I try again online, do it from a reputable website. Can anyone help me out?
Note: this was my first time ever buying a corset in general so if there is anything I should know for the next time I attempt to buy one again?
bare minimum for decent corsets - seller gives waist, underbust and high hip measurements. if a corset seller doesn't give these measurements there is no guarantee its going to fit you. another helpful measurement is the princess seam measurement. this tells you how long it is, important if you intend to sit in your corset. in general, the more measurements given the better idea of fit you will have.
lucy corsetry gives good advice about starting with and the ins and outs of corsets and decent reviews of available corsets worldwide. probably the best place to start
Alr! Thank you, I’ll be sure to check out Lucy Corsetry then :3
^I FORGOT TO MENTION, BUT I LIVE IN DALLAS, TEXAS. SO IF ANYONE LIVES NEARBY AND KNOWS ANY GOOD STORES PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!
If you are in Texas,,,,, Mystic City Corsets in Texas and Swoonbusk in Texas!!!!!
Does mcc have a storefront ? I can’t find any info if there is one on their website
Are they near Dallas? :0
I'd like to recommend Meet Costumes.
They have many styles corset and please do check their size chart on each product pages! I love them as I ordered more than 5 corsets on their website. Remember to choose it by your waist, not the normal size!
Hi there! I have wanted a corset for forever and my girlfriend got me the money to buy one for valentines day. I was wondering what people recommendations were for good places to find corsets online. In my corsets I'm looking for
I guess I'm just rambling here but TL;DR I want a retro corset for everyday use. Where are some good places to shop? Please and thank you for all the help!!!
The fitting room made a beautiful custom corset for my wife but it is in seattle and requires multiple visits.
Yeah sadly I'm upsate NY. There are a few places that make corsets by appointment in the city but that's a weekend trip for me lol
I really like Mystic City Corsets. They are pretty well made. I’ve made mine o we a year and wear it daily without any problems
Timeless Trends had awesome longline corsets.
Mystic city has many different styles to choose from, what Katie did is my favourite for a retro look mixed with comfortable every day wear. There is also a list of “recommended brands” in the tightlacing community!
Here is a list of awesome corsetieres. Some of them do historically accurate patterning (Redthreaded is one that does for sure). https://www.reddit.com/r/Tightlacing/comments/du8wyf/brands_to_consider/.
/r/tightlacing also has a list of blacklisted brands stickied which is worth checking out, as there are many unscrupulous and crappy manufacturers out there. The brands on the blacklist not only aren't a good value for your money, they can actually hurt you. As have already been recommended to you, both Timeless Trends and Mystic City make excellent and affordable "entry" ready-to-wear corsets if you are just starting out and not sure if you will enjoy wearing a corset. Many experienced tightlacers love these two brands, too. If you can post some basic measurements such as your underbust, waist, hip, and torso length, the community will be happy to suggest particular ready-to-wear corset styles that would suit your frame.
There is no one single best place to get a corset - the most important thing is making sure that you're getting one from a responsible maker that is suitable to your measurements, namely waist, rib spring (the difference between the corset's closed waist and your underbust measurement), and hip spring (the difference between the corset's closed waist and your hip measurement). You can also opt to have a corset completely custom-made to your measurements, but this is very costly and most people start off with a ready-to-wear piece before investing in custom pieces.
I’m not entirely sure this is the right place to ask, because what I want is pretty much the opposite of tightlacing. But I’ve had no luck finding places to buy/have made a corset, so I figure it can’t hurt to ask.
I started wearing corsets about half a year ago. Unlike a lot of people, I did this for comfort. Bras have always made me miserable, damaging my shoulders, hurting my back, underwires leaving me black and blue, and never truly giving me the support I needed. The first time I wore a corset I CRIED, because for the first time in years I was actually comfortable. And these were cheap, plastic stays corsets, but still so much better than any bra I have ever worn.
But I can’t wear those right now, and I can’t wear a typical corset either. For a good reason admittedly.
So now I am looking for a place to buy/have made a maternity corset. These corsets are made with extra lacing throughout the corset, so the corset can be altered to accommodate the pregnancy.
Here’s a little about them, including pictures: https://twonerdyhistorygirls.blogspot.com/2018/01/a-19thc-maternity-robe-corset-on.html?m=1
Maternity corsets are safe to use during pregnancy and can actually help support the abdomen and spine. However, even the few places I’ve found that sell corsets don’t seem to sell these, and I cannot sew. So if anyone knows anywhere where I can get one, please let me know.
Not going to be cheap, but Dark Garden (San Francisco & New Orleans) has made maternity corsets in the past, for example this one: https://lacingliaisons.wordpress.com/2013/05/10/the-most-interesting-corset-ever/
They have made many more since then, so they'd be the first place I'd try. After them I'd look for corsetieres who have experience with making medical corsets as maternity corsets fit within the realm of medical corsets. For example Vanyanis (located in Australia) used herself as a guinea pig during her own maternity last year to test out making maternity corsets. And Crikey Aphrodite (located in Scotland) has made corsets with multiple lacing systems to help an individual who uses an ileostomy bag, so could certainly adapt the concept to a maternity corset. Plus she's amazing at getting bust fit just right.
Other corsetieres with medical experience can be found on Lucy's map in yellow.

Hope that helps you find someone.
Thanks so much!
I don't know where to buy a maternity corset, but maybe the people on r/corsets or r/corsetry could help
Thanks. I’ll repost this there too.
I'm looking for a specific type of underbust, a really pretty white lace up to wear over a blue and white checkard dress. I'm new to all of this and I don't really know where to go. Please help me :(
Mystic City, What Katie Did, Timeless Trends, Snow Black, Morgana Femme, Rebel Madness, and Isabella corsetry are all good places to start.
>Snow Black
Is snow black just on etsy and fb? I couldn't find a proper website when I googled.
Yes, that's where she does business.
Orchard Corsets too
From my research, Mystic City Corsets might have what you want
Depends on where you live, in England there are some corset stores like What Katie Did. In San Francisco there's Dark Garden. But most places you have to wait for a convention or Renaissance fair to try one on.
Thanks! Sadly where I live I'm really unlikely to get a big convention or Renaissance Fair where people are selling corsets that aren't just for aesthetic purposes. Nice to know though and than you this is the kind of general information I was looking for, anks mate.
I want to have a corset ( not top, the real old fashioned one) for myself but couldn't find a shop that sells one in Delhi and can't trust not-so-popular online stores.
If anyone has any leads, please share.
Even if you find it , in Delhi even thrift stores sells good corset for 800/1k< . Try savana , they have the wired boned corset for 500-700 .
Hey, thanks a bunch! Can you share which thrift markets sell them? Haven't seen them in any.
Thanks a bunch buddy!💝
I know brand for that! DM me for the link☺️
