TL;DR
Specialized Display Stands
One popular method for displaying LEGO sets is using specialized display stands. Brands like Wicked Brick offer custom angled display stands that can enhance the presentation of your LEGO models, especially Star Wars ships [2:1]. These stands help create vertical space and can make your collection look more organized and visually appealing
[2:4].
Shelving Solutions
Shelves are a versatile option for displaying LEGO sets. Some users recommend using box shelves like Form Rigga Cubes from B&Q, which allow you to frame your LEGO sets [2:2]. IKEA's KALLAX and Billy bookcases are also popular choices for their durability and ability to blend in with regular furniture
[4:5]
[4:3]. For larger sets, consider making shelves with different sizes to accommodate various types of LEGO models
[5:1].
Glass Cabinets
Glass cabinets offer a stylish way to display LEGO sets while protecting them from dust and damage. Searching for "glass cabinet" or "glass display case" on platforms like Craigslist can yield affordable options [2:6]. FABRIKÖR displays and Milsbo line nooks from IKEA are also recommended for their aesthetic appeal
[4:3].
Themed Displays and Scenes
Creating themed displays with minifigures and scenes can add life to your LEGO collection. Grouping minifigs together based on characters they appeared alongside and positioning them in dynamic poses or battle scenes can make your display more engaging [3:1]
[3:3]. Using clear shelves designed for nail polish can be an innovative way to display figures against themed posters
[4:1].
Furniture Integration
For those looking to integrate LEGO displays with regular furniture, consider using tables or TV stands that complement your living space. Coffee tables or center living room tables with glass tops can provide a unique way to showcase your sets while blending with home decor [4:6].
I’m moving soon, and I’d love some great LEGO display ideas.

Look at my imgur posts. There are more
Or you could just look at the constant stream of Lego displays that get posted here all day everyday.
But that would mean OP would have to find the original box and rebox all his sets as everyone’s collections is just thousands of dollars worth of sealed boxes.

I have a display, posted it a while ago.
Same
Please ignore if this is the wrong place/not allowed!
My husband is building Star Wars legos, and has them on staggering floating shelves in our living room. I purchased clear plastic platforms for them instead of the old iPhone boxes he is currently using. I am curious if anyone in the lego community has other display additions that completely enhanced your display?
i bought these box shelves from B&Q - called Form Rigga Cubes for a set of 3 for 15 pounds - they are different sizes and are really good if you like the idea of framing your lego sets

Wicked Brick displays!
They make custom - usually angled display stands for tonnes of sets- I got a few to display my Star Wars ships and they’re brilliant. Highly recommend them. I ended up getting a couple more Lego sets on the cheap recently... so now have to get more stands!
I just now need appropriate shelving now to fit everything haha
I have 4 of the Vario stands from WB and they are Awesome. They create vertical space for me as I can stack models together at differing levels of height. Plus they just look so good.
If someone has a single model or a couple of models to display only then I might recommend the ones with the inscriptions but for a larger collection the inscriptions just get lost in the jumble.
Baseplates and buildings.
Lego loves to make a ton of modes of transportation, but those cars and planes and boats and spaceships are useless if they don't have anywhere to go.
Go on Craigslist and look up “glass cabinet” or “glass display case”
This is my collection and the two areas I want to display them. Anyone have any advice on the best way to display my sets and minifigs?
I would display them on the shelf since there seems to be a lot of glare in the glass case. Unless you got LED lights then i would suggest the case. I would also suggest display the Jedi interceptors together. Hope this helps you!
Try to bring some life to the displays, position things like how they would be in a battle
Maybe some minifigure stand but I’m not sure and searching something also for me
Somehow come up with the funds for every UCS set like everyone else on this subreddit and plop them on top of what you have there. You're welcome!
Try grouping minifigs together with other characters they appeared alongside (i.e., instead of just putting all the Jedi together, you could put Anakin and Ahsoka with Red and Fives, and add Obi-Wan to your episode II display). Then try coming up with some cool poses and/or creating full scenes with the minifigs. Having ships on display stands is great, and I think it'd be cool if the minifigs were displayed in a similarly "lifelike" manner
I've been looking to for different types of displaying the sets that I have built. But I haven't found one that I've really liked. I'm looking for something more than the regular white open book shelf like exhibitors, something like tables, or tv stands or anything else that might blend the built legos with regular furniture. By the way the Muppets minifigures are amazing! if you have the chance to get some, if not all, get them!
For figures there are clear shelves designed to store nail polish that work great
You get a poster frame, glue the clear shelves to the plastic sheet
Put a poster in whatever your theme of the sites
Hang that up on the wAll and then full the shelves with figures
For Star Wars ships there are wall anchors you can mount them to instead of shelves
For cars a nice corner glass cabinet 🗄
Thanks! The nail polish shelve idea sounds brilliant I will try that. I also tried the anchors one time but it was a dust trap, I had to vacuum it at least every week.
If you have an IKEA near you check out the Kallaxes
I'm partial to the FABRIKÖR displays and the Milsbo line nooks nice too
KALLAX and Billy bookcases are probably going to be around forever, not sure about the FABRIKÖR
Yeah! that's the standard. I've seen them all over social media. Have you seen the coffee tables or center living room ones with glass?
Nope, if I don’t put my models higher than my dog can reach he thinks they’re fair game to chew on!
I own a couple large sets and a couple small ones including but not limited to the london tower bridge and bucketwheel excavator. I want to know a good way to display both large and small sets. Any advice is fine!
Shelves
Make shelves that have different sizes to fit different types of sets
I have a collection of funko’s/lego’s that I am currently trying to find a display shelf for. I was wondering what everyone used to display theirs?
Are hanging/floating shelves better than standing shelves?
I’m looking for ideas for either in or out of the box display.
Any amazon links would help as well.
IKEA has shelves that fit perfectly
I’ve got over 420 lego sets and I’ve got them displayed in my bedroom and my office but was wondering what would be the best way to display them?
A- display by theme B- display by type of set (cars, planes, robots, etc) C- anything that fits together
Certainly don't display all 425 at once. I only display my favorite ones that look good on display, and that's still around 40-50 of them. I have a few shelves full. One shelf in my bedroom and two shelves in my living room. The ones that don't look as good on display get disassembled and put in bags to be stored.
Display all of them and post it here. I want to see this chaos/awesomeness
Well spaced apart so it does not look like a hoard
I'd say the best place to start is type (option b), then sort those by theme (option a).
Check out r/legostorage for some ideas. You can also filter with our "collection" flair.
Hello fellow Lego fans, can ppl plz spam this post with what your displaying your Lego in. I can't seem to find anything I like and those that I do find I like cost more then the Lego I want to display. Bonus points if it's available in the UK and has glass doors. Thanks
r/legodisplay has so many you can peruse
I just found cheap displays on Craigslist and spent the savings on more Lego.
Ikea Rudsta. They also make a tall 5 shelf version, which we may end up with as well some point.
Folks seem to love IKEA Kallax shelves. And those have glass door inserts you can get as an addon. Plus, UK-based Wicked Brick has specialized options sized for Kallax shelving.
Hello everyone, I am curious what you all use for displays for keeping your legos clear of dust? I’m looking around to find options. I am open to suggestions! Thank you!
To be honest the first photo just slaps. That's how I'd display it.
Patrolling my mouse pad
I did not realize how long that set is. Next to a full size keyboard it looks much larger than I thought.
It’s almost as long if not slightly longer
Unless you wnat to spend money on clear acrylic it’s a losing battle my friend 😔
Any certain brands for that?
Hi guys!
I would like to know how you store and display all your lego (any kind).
Shelving? Frames? Vase? Box?
I recently bought some stick on shelves for walls so I don't have to hassle using a drill or take up space on the kallax unit. And they're really good! I also use some near the window for little lego and none of them have fallen!! (Yet)
If anyone wants a link to the shelving I use here, it is: Amazon: https://amzn.eu/d/cYEq8fR
It's £9.99 for a pack of 3. Black, white, or clear. They come with 9 stickers (3 for each) and also screws if you wanted to screw them up. So your choice!
I display my Botanicals sets that are potted as if they were live flowers on countertops & tabletops. I even have a glass vase on my desk for the daffodils, tulips, cherry blossoms, daisies, sunflowers, all of which are switched out depending on the season.
As for other sets like my Star Wars, Creator and Architecture, many of them are accent pieces for decor scattered throughout my home. I don't concentrate them all into one spot like a shelving unit or display case.
best ways to display LEGO sets
Here are some key considerations for displaying LEGO sets:
Shelving Units: Use open shelving units to create a dedicated display area. Adjustable shelves allow you to customize the height based on the size of your sets.
Display Cases: Consider glass display cases to protect your sets from dust while showcasing them beautifully. Look for cases with UV protection to prevent fading.
Lighting: Incorporate LED strip lights or spotlights to highlight your LEGO sets. Proper lighting enhances visibility and adds a dramatic effect to your display.
Themed Displays: Group sets by theme (e.g., Star Wars, City, Technic) or color for a cohesive look. This can create a visually appealing arrangement.
Baseplates and Stands: Use baseplates to create a stable foundation for your sets. You can also build custom stands or dioramas to enhance the presentation.
Wall-Mounted Displays: If space is limited, consider wall-mounted shelves or shadow boxes to display smaller sets or minifigures.
Recommendation: For a clean and organized look, I recommend using a combination of open shelving for larger sets and glass display cases for smaller or more intricate builds. This allows for easy access while keeping your collection protected. Additionally, consider rotating your displays periodically to keep the arrangement fresh and engaging.
