TL;DR
Junpei's Weaponry and Crit Potential
Junpei has emerged as a powerful character in Persona 3: Reload due to his enhanced critical damage and rate boosts. His crit potential is significantly amplified when equipped with items that further increase his critical hit chance, making him an exceptional damage dealer in the late game [4:3]
[4:5]. Players have noted that with the right setup, Junpei can keep up with or even surpass other characters in terms of damage output, especially when using his best weapon or charms that enhance his crit capabilities
[4:5].
Yukari's Healing and Support Role
Yukari is another standout character in Persona 3: Reload, primarily due to her robust healing abilities and support skills. Her ability to reduce the SP cost of recovery skills by up to 75% makes her an invaluable asset during battles, allowing her to sustain the party's health efficiently [4:7]. Additionally, her synergy with Aigis, where she can heal and charge Theurgy quickly, adds to her utility in prolonged fights
[4:10].
Akihiko's Buffs and Damage Output
Akihiko's unique trait of doubling the effects of buffs makes him a formidable force on the battlefield. Whether he casts the buffs himself or receives them from other party members, the increased potency significantly boosts his damage output [4:2]. This capability, combined with his high-damage Theurgies, positions Akihiko as a key player in dealing substantial damage while maintaining versatility in combat.
Weapon and Playstyle Considerations
The choice of weapons and their effectiveness can vary depending on the player's playstyle and the specific build they are pursuing. For instance, players who focus on creating a specialized crit machine persona may find Junpei's crit and slash damage particularly appealing [4:12]. Meanwhile, those who prioritize support and healing will likely benefit from incorporating Yukari into their team for her efficient SP management and potent healing spells
[4:6].
well it deserves it. My favorite game of all time. Does loose a few things from fes like the tone, and also making the characters a bit closer, but I really like it personally. They're both amazing different ways to experience the game now
I myself finished reload and it made me want to do the female Mc on p3p. So im currently playing that. Still loving it. Taurtarus is a slog though. I also miss those QoL changes in the remake.
That's my plan too. Gonna replay p5r first then go to p3p. And at some point maybe fes too. Not looking forward to the outdated Tartarus but other than that I'm hyped to try it
I always said "If you ever find yourself in a position where you agree with IGN, it's time to reevaluate life".
Wow, guess it's time I reevaluate my life.
nah, FF7 being a good remake? the fact that persona 3r is there is mere lucky coincidence
Also,, I know we're on the Persona subreddit, but Pokemon HGSS is just the better remake
FF7R is a phenomenal remake (even tho it's a reimagining version of it) of a game that's a glorified hallway with occasional semi-open world segments with a great story.
Is the story worse in some ways? Yeah but og FF7 was like 60% story.
Is the gameplay better? It definitely is for 90% of people
Persona should be high but Heartgold and SoulSilver being so low is criminal Id even argue it is the best Pokemon game period
I’ve never understood how people think HG/SS is better than Platinum, but more power to you
It really is a fantastic game!
Just wish it had the option to turn on/off the original version of the soundtrack!
Did they lose the rights to the older versions or something?
7.8/10 too much Tartarus.

I love you vaxei
Almost a copy of mcy4 score but with 1 more 100 lol.
mcy4=vaxei alt account, think about it
That makes this screenshot kinda weirdchamp then….
Can this dude just run it back one more time bro, ive wanted an hr fc on this for ages
Need help with the strongest weapon in the game so far i have these unlocked . Accordingly ill upgrade my weapon or should i wait for a better weapon .
Take a look at the voting here, including order of elimination. Remember that handles change things and this voting was on blades only.
FWIW I've gone and upgraded all the best rated ones to +10 and am trying them out.
Once I get one of the best 10 or so blades, then it's research into what people recommend for handles. Then check all the cranks to see how they change things.
Right now thanks to a tip from this community, loving the tyrant's dagger on city longspear handle. Fast, stabby, long reach, and has a good chance of critical hits (which you can boost with an amulet).
https://www.reddit.com/r/LiesOfP/comments/1nl880l/remove_the_worst_weapon_bladehead_until_one_is/
Lmao this games way too easy now with this combo - poke bosses to death
This is why my 2nd weapon when I use the Bone Saw / Booster Glaive handle is the Puppet Ripper. Very tight attack range and it's huge range Strong attacks ignore terrain.
It's a fantastic weapon combination.
It depends on your playstyle and build, but I really found useful the shock mace
Seconded, but I was using the electric buzz saw basically unedited and the salamander dagger blade with the booster glaive handle. (I was Advance focused, which I do not recommend. It makes your damage a bit inconsistent)
I will add, the handle is what decides how the weapon moves so pick one you love and attach the blade that fits your build best.
If you have Overture I highly recommend the Arch guardian sword. Still gives you the damage buff from shocking the enemy when using heavy attacks. Best part about the weapon is you can still apply grindstone effects alongside the spammable r2.
Even better, the charged attack is a distance attack.
Probably not the strongest but i have beaten the whole game on the hardest difficulty with bramble curved sword. Imo its extremely underrated especially the charged attack acting as gap close while maintaining good distance to avoid damage and charge after enemy finishes combo.
Dude... dude..... yes. Lol. Thought i was the only one. That sword held me down literally the whole game. Its Hella fast. You get mad hits in for your stamina. And the charge attack is cheese. I used this weapon and found it better vs the darn special boss weapons. Especially if you put an enemy weakness grindstone on it, it absolutely shreds. The chefs knife also has a similar movement.
Put the living puppet blade on the beam le handle to unlock it's true potential
Its the frostbite weapon. Its a weapon you get from “alidoro” after exchanging your ergo. It has the highest damage output out of all weapons in the game
I’ve been using the bone cutting saw with booster glaive handle and the range is insane especially on the charged attack which dashes you forward. Only downside is low durability but you should have an amulet which helps with that
Bone Cutting Saw BLADE on the Booster Glaive HANDLE is carrying me straight through my Technique playthrough. It's absolutely incredible.
I use that with the Puppet Ripper as my 2nd weapon. Still powerful, and essentially none of the Puppet Ripper's attacks, even its wildly large Strong attacks with huge range, clip the environment.
I'm shredding the game in my 2nd playthrough with this loadout. The Wintry Rapier lived in my 2nd slot until I got the Ripper, and now I'm set for the rest of the run.
And by best party member I am mostly referring to how they are in combat, their skill sets and their synergy with the group.
Im not too far in but so far I can't decide between either Junpei or Akihiko.
Speaking of Junpei, not necessarily related to my question but I've heard that Junpei is OP now. This true? Im quite curious considering that he fell off hard bout halfway through the OG P3
Akihiko get's double the effects from buffs, so an attack buff on him (whether casted by him or a party member) is 2x as powerful. Super potent, what he loses in utility he makes up for in raw damage. His theurgies also deal high damage.
Yukari is a mainstay on the team, good damage, great access to support and heal spells, Masukunda is really fucking useful, especially for golden hands, and her passives from hangouts make all of her healing spells cost way less, meaning she's pumping out Mediarahan's like they're going on sale while still having more than enough MP for damage. Her theurgies are also pretty good, her damage one does good damage, and she can give Concentrate to the whole party with her other theurgy.
Koro has Debilitate, Rebellion, and can give Charge to the whole party, and with how broken Physical is in this game (especially Slash based Physical builds as all Slash boosting and crit boosting passives also boost Scarlet Havoc, making it capable of dealing more damage than Armageddon, I personally had it do 13k damage once) he is a must if you want to put out the most stupid amount of damage possible. He also has Dekunda, pretty useful. EDIT: Koro doesn’t get dekunda, Aigis does, Koro is however still a fucking amazing party member
Junpei is supposedly a crit machine, personally haven't had much luck with him but on paper and from what I have heard he has the ability to crit like it's going out of style. Slash is really good in this game so him being mainly slash focused helps. I have however found that his theurgies aren't that potent :( I may just be using him wrong though.
Mitsuru deals a lot of magic damage even without concentrate that it's silly, and she has an almighty damage debilitate theurgy, giving her concentrate is great. I would say that instead of giving her her ultimate weapon that gives Magic Ability, you instead give her Snow Queen Whip which gives a Magic Stat boost and Ice Amp, since she doesn't learn Ice Amp naturally this is extremely helpful. I also suggest giving her the Spell Master trinket. With this setup she deals a shit ton of damage.
Aigis is a good all-rounder that has access to amazing buffs and deals good damage, only issue is that Aigis and Yukari share a weakness, and since Yukari basically should never be removed from the party, this is an issue, but it's not too bad since you can get equipment to dampen the effects of Lightning on Aigis.
Queen Fuuka is awesome, all her theurgy effects are really good (Full SP Restore, Full Party Heat Riser, Full HP Restore) and the ability to just get the entire weakness spreadsheet of an enemy is really amazing. She can also give you a Defense and Agi boost at the start of battle, a must have for bosses and Golden Hands until you have access to Auto-Ma skills.
Ken is the only one I really don't like skill wise. Heat Riser is neat but since it only affects one party member he might end up just spending his entire time casting it. His Karn skills are useful but I had so many items that did the same thing it didn't matter. He is better at Lightning Damage than Akihiko outside of theurgies though and he has light, so that's neat, and Dekaja is pretty useful. He is my least used Party Member as what he does, another party member does better imo. He can heal but Yukari can heal much better, he can deal damage but he's not the greatest at it, he can use Makarakarn and Tetrakarn but there are enough items with the same effect that it doesn't matter, and he can buff with Heat Riser but since Fuuka can full party heat riser, and Aigis can give both Matarukaja and Marakukaja, I feel he ends up hurting in that aspect as well.
Junpei will really start to shine in the late game once you got him his crit Amp and give him something for apt pupil, which are on his best weapon or a charm for him,I ran him with Yukari and Aigis with a primarily Slash crit build for myself and he was able to keep up with me in terms of damage, and hit crits pretty often but maybe I'm just lucky (played on merciless)
As for theurgies,Hack n Blast (if I'm remembering it correctly) is good for just more damage and I've have had it almost always crit, where blaze of life is better for using him as his pseudo tank he can play with his high endurance (though not as high as Aigis) and Marakukaja
On top of his annoying dialogue, his creepoid sexism and his inferiority complex I find him worst even late game. His elemental damage falls way behind and he misses attacks and resistance throws way more than anyone else and by a long margin. So what if he has solid crit and slash damage when it overlaps with MC basic attacks, much easier to build a specialised crit machine persona than listen to him. I am a bloke but even I get pissed off with his endless derogatory remarks about the females and way he plays victim when called out for treating them as sex objects.
I run Auto Mataru, Auto Maraku and Auto Masuka on my primary persona and Aigis can rebuff entire party in two turns as opposed to the impossible 4 of heat riser. So I agree it's not as useful as a lot of people think. I also love the synergy between Aigis and Yukari so I don't mind shared weakness And basic damage type especially once you have gear options.
Junpei's crit dmg/rate boost from his personality makes him a pretty good damage dealer and if you give him any equipment with more crit boost then he'll become even more of Da Man than he already is
Yukari definitely got heavily buffed. Up to 75% reduction to recovery skill cost and full party concentrate are very good.
Yukari is insane. Both her theurgy are nuts and charge so fast on bosses because she's typically healing. Her trait to reduce SP cost on heals is equally broken.
Is one of reasons she pairs with Aigis so well, Aigis uses HP to do insane damage and charge two cool Theurgy and Yukari can then cheap heal to charge two cool Theurgy.
P3P I kept her in the party because she was the romance. P3R I can’t help but keep her because of he medic skills.
Eh, I feel like Yukari ends up covering that while also outputting good damage, which helps end fights faster and requires less healing and revives.
Plus I have literally never been in the situation where this would’ve been an absolute lifesaver, I’m sure there are uses, I just never found it useful enough. And the sp thing never bothered me in the first place as clocks exist and sp items aren’t as rare as in other games (I have 6 somas lmao) plus it’s really hard to run out of sp in a fight outside of Merciless
Yeah Ken is incredible useful in hard fight /long drag fight like Reaper or some of Arcana boss or Nyx itself.
Ken's 2nd theurgy definitely looks better on paper than it actually is in-game. Almost any situation where you need the revive is also a situation where Ken is likely the one that needs reviving because he's made of paper. It's the kind of thing you keep in reserve because you're too afraid of using his theurgy bar on just damage and then when you need it Ken is dead and has lost half his gauge. Also the reflect is often pretty useless as most lategame enemies null or even drain their damage element. One of the only exceptions to this is the Reaper so Ken is actually pretty useful for cheesing the Reaper fight early. And even then better make sure you have a big enough homunculus stack because the Reaper loves spamming Mamudoon and Ken is weak to dark.
Just wanna give gun arms a try and swap my minigun + bazooka heavy build with MG gun arms and see how things goes.
For the love of god it is so GOODDDDD. It pumps out so much damage. I love all those projectiles just melt bosses in an instant. I guess the only downside is I have to get closer than I would like to.
p.s. equipment in the screen shot
I bring this exact set on Zeruchroar but I run out of ammo while he's at like 5% hp lol. Even with reserve mag 2
Even with ammo expansion mods? You could try bringing Hera Grudge or Agneastra to catch up the damage on phase 2, since it will become weak to laser. Or just try hitting on critical range only for as long as you are able to not waste ammo.
Shiiiit I run out of ammo on Rebellion beta when I try to use two bazooka arms and ogre breaker 2
Use one of the couple things he drops on the ground
With MG gun arm? I never run out of ammo in my case.
Though I did put x3 lv3 total ammo attachment to the missile launcher, x3 lv 3 physical damage attachment to each of the gun arm, x3 lv3 AS attachment to the chest armor. So perhaps the combined DPS effectively reduce ammo consumption.
Cons about gun arms >ammo count >fucked if you have both vambrace guns and run out of ammo Pros >things go boom
I just want sword arms
I want retractable sword and gun arms.
How did you get the full revenger set?
You had to do a three part side quest before the side quest that gave you the legs
I dont remember the exact name but it was the quest where a dude needed to test his prototype arsenal
I wish mine did, I made a build built around them and they really didn't end up doing much *
What is the bat doing there
What is the alchemical carbine doing THERE
the DoT is insane, it applies multiple stacks with the cloud and is THE poison support weapon for anything with an affix or poison crits.
Its insane for crit conditions
bonk tier
Nothing can beat a bat if u have stun abilities....
The Bat is sooo fun lmfao I feel like Ness back in the day with Super Smash bros melee
Reminds me of sgt. Donny, aka the bear jew (if u have watched inglorious basterds)
My poor Queen's Rapier... In all honesty this one actually looks good for me, not a lot of crazy takes!
FELLOW ALCHEMIC CARBINE ENJOYER
This is the best ranking ive seen so far
assault sheild, boomerang, throwing cards, whip sword, trip bow, rapier, hemmorage, electric whip should all be higher fs imo (you can tell i glaze tactics tho)
I dont know if anything like this has been posted yet but heres what ive found to be some of the best weapons, note you can only itemize once per day. Let me know if theres better ones out there, i posted a gun version as well
In my opinion Mjolnir is better than Ruyi Jingu Bang because when you equip Ruyi Jingu Bang you get an +Auto-Tarukaja at the start of battle and 256 attack. When you use Mjolnir you get +Elec attacks and an attack of 254. In the end your only sacrificing 2 attack points for more damage with Elec attacks which is Ryuji's main form of elemental attack.
almost never do you use ryuji as a magical (electric) damage dealer, he's in your party almost exclusively as a charge+physical/matarukaja, or not in your party at all. Just like with Kanji in P4, and to a lesser extent Junpei/Akihiko in P3, the only reason you would use them elementally would be to exploit weaknesses. Ryuji's SP is probably better used for (ma-)tarukaja or charge, rather than doing damage with elec. Considering how relatively early you can get Hanuman compared to the rest of the itemize weapon personas, that auto-tarukaja actually helps ryuji's bossing potential significantly, allowing a turn-1 strong physical to come out, or if you're charging, a turn-2 charged physical nuke. Because joker requires 2 turns to set up anyways, having ryuji (ma-)tarukaja right before joker's ready is very easily achievable:

turn 1: Joker Charges/Concentrates, Ryuji Charges (if charge) or Joker rakunda/Debilitate and Ryuji nukes (without charge)
turn 2: Joker Debilitates/Rakunda (if charge) and Ryuji (ma-)tarukaja or Joker Charges/Concentrates and Ryuji (ma-)tarukaja (without charge)

turn 3: Joker nukes (in both) and ryuji either does extra damage (no charge) or charges (with charge)

following this "rotation" allows joker and ryuji to nuke on a turn-by-turn basis, or without charge, around every other turn or so, so every turn you have damage coming out, not to mention Ann's concentrated agidynes, Yusuke's giant physicals, or Haru's extra damage. Even Makoto or Morgana, whichever you pick as a healer, might be able to throw in some damage depending on the state of the health bars.

and plus, with how optimizable personas are in this game, Joker can very effectively cover every element not well-covered by his party. Haru might be the only actually properly modular party member with strong physical (gun) and magical skills, and even then, she's close to almost permanently weaker than Ryuji for physicals (colossal damage physical + charge vs severe gun +snipe/cripple) or Ann for magical (severe/colossal (if you use it) fire + boost/amp/concentrate vs severe psy + boost/amp). She suffers, just like Makoto, from an excessively balanced stat spread that neutralizes her power relative to other party members at the time of her big spikes. I think the only window in which Haru is stronger than Ryuji specifically, is when she gets OSK and before ryuji gets charge (which admittedly is a large window of the game if you don't kill reapers) due to the nature of snipe/cripple.

Nobody uses Ryuji for his Zio skills. By the time you can get Ryuji's ultimate weapon, you'll have plenty of superior electric attackers. The dude is a god-tier physical attacker. Plus, Tarukaja lasts 3 turns and no standard encounter takes that long to finish up.
Cool. Gonna be using these for my NG++.
I forgot harus weapon is from beelzebub and posted jokers gun from lucifer by accident, however i made a separate post for the guns as well if your interested
Oops replace lucifer for beelzebub my bad
That's a lot of mythological weaponry.
I dont know if this has been posted yet but Heres what ive found to be some of the best guns, note you can only itemize once per day. ive found a better one for morganna called dreamstone II but i cant remember how i got it, i posted a weapon version as well
Dreamstone II is obtained by purchasing the Dreamstone from the Airsoft shop and then customizing it with Iwai's perk.
An even better gun for Mona shows up on the 24th.

The question is whether or not they're worth what the cost is to sacrifice all of those ultimates.
Is it?
Aside from morganas They all seem to be better than anything you can buy, high damage accuracy and have bonus effects plus they look pretty cool
Sweet. I'm on my NG+ so I'm working on even making all of them for the first time, and I know their recipes can get really expensive. I'll have to check it out.
Most of these are really good like judge of the dead. That one adds 10 to all stats which is god tier when comes to passives.
Isn't the Nataraja gun you get from Metatron Joker's best gun? It adds +5 to all of your stats
It might be, i just went with what had higher attack and precision. Wasnt looking at effects
Yeah that one is definitely better
Hold up this was posted twice or I’m going crazy
I believe that this one is for the ranged weapons and the other was for the melee weapons.
its simple. he use sword. give him better sword. GG
(cant give him soul split katana since he cant see the soul im pretty sure)
lemme know your thoughts and suggestions
If it actually does acumulate CE and than rapidly discharges it, than it`s actually very good tool.
You have weak output? it doesn`t matter! Just keep charging it daily! Dump most of your reserves into it! And when you meet actualy strong enemy you 100% would be able to cut them in half by just discharging weeks of your CE output into one single hit.
You can actually go further into critfisher build and put some binding vows like "I can hit same target with that sword only one (or once in X time if you unsure)" + "I can use that sword X times a day" + "I must perform stance X to use that ultimate move" + "I onle can see my target while using my ultimate move" + "I can`t use my ultimate move until previous target is defeated" and finally: "All my output is used only for speed and perception enhancement while I am using my ultimate move"
With that you can get substantial speed boost to actually land a hit and than sword would do the rest of the work by instantky discharging enought energy to overpower target`s durability
High risk high reward build
We saw what a binding vow amped sword attack from someone below par gets you
Yeah but that's Miwa against Kenjaku. On a stronger character, like a grade 1, it would actually be busted.
Yuta can already behead Kenjaku with his regular sword, Dragonbone would let him probably behead the top2 as well.
There's actually a chance that it was because the sword was amped too much. Imagine having an entire lifetime of BV CE being dumped into a regular sword for a single strike, idc if you're a grade 4 sorcerer, that katana is gonna break easily
Also it's really funny that this happened to "Geto" twice
Problem is that it would get caught in domains due to it having CE I believe and leave her weaponless
It wasn`t meant to be
"that is good tool *for* ***Maki*** and here I`ll explain how she could use it effectively"
but rather
"that is good tool for average sorcerer and here I`ll explain how they could use it effectively"
You could clearly see it if you`d read comment before answering as it contains:
But of course you met with Yomimeiki^(()^(読迷鬼)^()) and got hit with their CT.
Wasn’t this thing literally like one of the best cursed tools in the verse too? lmao
Juzo the goat making the best tool
Imagine eating a black flash chain from a Playful Cloud wielding Yuji
Better yet, Ratio Amped Black Flash chain from a Yuji wielding Nanami's cleaver.
Fuck it, strap nanami’s cleaver to one of the segments of playful cloud and do both
Sorcerers are swindlers, they would absolutely meta the everloving fuck out of their abilities.
Axe is the pinnacle of i don’t really know what I’m doing or where should I aim my hits…
Good thing the weapon plays the game for you… miss directional input? No prob, hit anyway with the back as if you totally meant to do that. Now just do it once again and send that poor dude from green to orange
Play a really good axe player. That'll make you rethink this. I do agree that its super easy to just pick up and play and allows you to throw out whatever
BB orb and bow (I'm main bow)
Honestly you picked the exact three weapons that describe "low risk high reward" the best in my opinion
Lance and axe (and greatsword as an honourable mention) are "heavy" weapons but are as fast (if not faster) than sword, have double the hit box size, and double (maybe even triple) the damage output.
Insane, and then you can pretty much do whatever with boots and it'll work
"Skill issue this, get better that", true but also let's acknowledge that some weapons just naturally have an edge over others and that's bound to happen in any game with 14 weapons currently. I still love the game and will ruin more controllers losing to Imugi ssig
Greatsword? It's definitely been nerfed, I started playing again after some time, and it's so slow now it's barely even playable against any decent player. Even Axe is a bit too slow for me, but I'm probably just bad at it
Well true it's not as bad as before. What I'm seeing now is absolutely cracked GS players who basically evolved around the nerfs. Man I'm bad at axe too but everyone else who mains it are constantly in a flow state where everything works out for them (I.e, I start panicking and get demolished in 9 hits)
with the changes to GS from a few months ago making it slow as shit it definitely shifted from low to high risk, but it still kills in like 2 reads so it’s fine
We could argue that BBs are low risk, low reward though since the damage they output rivals weapon tosses.
Like any weapon in this game tbh
queen nai
Queen nai new weapon confirmed
It's a running joke between my roommate and I that if we ever dominate the other team in 2's and they want the resmoke, we call it every time with the same joke.
"I give you, TWO QUEEN NAIS"
