Understanding Boss Mechanics
A common theme across discussions is the importance of understanding each boss's unique mechanics. Many bosses have specific gimmicks or weaknesses that need to be exploited for an easier victory. For instance, using counterattacks effectively with Cloud can simplify battles significantly [1:1]. Additionally, pairing elemental materia with your armor or weapons can provide significant advantages against certain bosses
[1:2].
Materia and Party Setup
The right combination of materia and party setup is crucial. Using Magnify with Healing materia can make healing more efficient, while Elemental Materia can add elemental damage to your attacks [1:6]. In some fights, like those involving lava, having characters like Barret with Lifesaver can be a lifesaver, literally
[2:1]. Also, consider the synergy between characters; for example, Cloud's defensive synergies can be used to counter ranged attacks effectively
[3:1].
Leveling and Side Quests
Being adequately leveled is essential for tackling tougher bosses. Engaging in side quests not only provides experience points but also offers better gear options and increases survivability [3:1]
[3:3]. If you're struggling with a particular boss, it might be worth revisiting earlier areas to complete additional quests and ensure your party is well-prepared.
Combat Strategy and Character Switching
Switching between characters frequently during combat can prevent enemies from focusing on one character and allows you to utilize different abilities strategically [5:4]. Using summons as aggro takers or for interruptions can also be beneficial in managing enemy focus
[5:3]. Moreover, timing your abilities to avoid interruptions is key; positioning your healer safely before casting spells can prevent them from being interrupted
[5:2].
Utilizing Defensive Abilities
Defensive abilities such as barriers and counters are vital in mitigating damage and maintaining control over the battle. Utilizing abilities like Manawall in conjunction with Magnify can help reduce incoming damage significantly [2:9]. Learning to use skills while swapping characters can also help maintain momentum and keep your party members safe
[5:5].
By combining these strategies—understanding boss mechanics, optimizing materia and party setups, ensuring proper leveling, and employing strategic combat techniques—you can tackle the challenging boss fights in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth with greater confidence and success.
Been watching my wife play on normal difficulty for the past 12 hours and the boss fights have been extremely difficult. I just wanted to know if anyone feels the same or if there is just some fundamental mechanic we are missing. If you have any tips please feel free to post. Thank you.
Most bosses have a gimmick you gotta find out. Like with Reno, you just counter everything and pair lightning+elemental on your armor. Id give away more but it would ruin the experience.
I beat the game without countering. Wish I knew earlier, it would've made the experience easier.
I figured this out in the sewers. Cloud is actually the parties tank. Just keep him his mode that lets him counter and it makes bosses a lot easier.
Except hardmode hell house. Just sit back and pray.
Bioga. regular Bio.. I'm convinced it's a gimmick weakness they left in
Using the right combination of materia is key, i plowed through the 7 star arena challenge on hard mode in the third attempt.
You can't just brute force your way through like in the old games with high attack/magic. The game encourages you to exploit the weakness and stagger the enemies to deal massive damage.
I don’t always stagger a boss or use a limit break, but when I do, they change phases and take no damage.
Agreed. And switch between characters often.
This is what took me the longest to really figure out. I was playing it like FF13 and it was not working.
My main issue so far and this is mostly only really an issue during boss fights is that MP is too scarce and occasionally you get into a situation where you need to heal but no one has any ATB. I don't like that your ATB bar only charges through attacking. Not the best thing in the world when everyone is low on life and you need to heal to have to get up in the bosses face just so you can charge your ATB gauge.
Still I have managed to beat most of the bosses on the first try though a few of them it has been only by the skin of my teeth.
There's so much.
Switch between characters often.
Linking is also really important: Use Magnify with Healing materia to make healing the party easier. Use the Elemental Materia with whichever other materia to add that element to your attack. Try to complete as many of the research missions to get access to more of the very useful materia.
I also recommend blocking more than rolling and making sure to get all of the character weapons to get all the abilities. I let the game level up my weapons just for ease of use.
The fighting mechanics are really good but they are more complex than they initially seem, especially with later bosses. Make sure to use Assess to find what makes an opponent stagger and use it. Stagger makes a huge difference.
That's all I have, I think.
I've beaten this boss fight twice now on hard mode and damn does it make me feel like a champion at end because of the fantastic music!!! I've beaten it on hard mode without any guide. The first time was harder. My party was Cloud, Red XIII, and Aerith. It took me like almost two hours to figure it out on hard mode. The most problematic thing was the lava. I won't tell you how to deal with that here. The second time, I used Cloud, Yuffie, and Aerith. IT'S SO MUCH MORE EASIER! So you can make this battle more difficult if you like, I mean without Yuffie, it was twice as difficult. I wouldn't dare to try to use different party sets in this battle. That would be pain!! I figured it out on my own. That's enough for me!
Tell me how to deal with the lava, I survived this battle abusing reraise haha
Only three ways to counter it in hard mode. Destroying the chest to reduce the range doesn’t work on hard mode, even though the tooltip still says it will.
Stagger and kill him before he uses it.
Tank the damage. Use magnify/barrier, cast a magnify/curaga or pray while you’re taking damage, use Barret’s lifesaver ability to save your other two party members etc.
Use reraise to ensure at least one party member survives, then res the others (wouldn’t recommend this personally).
Magnify barrier or Barret lifesaver strats are probably the easiest to pull off.
I used reraise 3 times lol maybe I'm not dealing enough damage.
Never used barrier either, I sletp on that one
I used an ability I never use, the soothing breeze enemy skill to tank through it lol. Need manaward on everyone too though.
Barrett with Lifesaver makes this fight super manageable. If things get bad he should be the only one that dies during lava and then go for the quick rez and back to Lifesaver/Chakra hack.
That's a great strategy
I liked this boss as well. On my hard mode playthrough, its crimson breath 3 would always proc even when I destroyed its chest, so I just had to beat him before he even got to that point in the fight.
I don’t think I used yuffie once in this fight lol. Explains why I wanted to cry because of the amount of times I died.
So glad I read this. I haven't arrived there yet but it's nice to know how to select the party on this.
Use magnify + manawall and it should be fairly easy.
I got through Chapter 3 fairly easily, a little bit of difficulty against Elena and Rude, but I still won first try. Now I'm in Chapter 4 and this sea monster has killed me like four times now and I've done at most a third of its health on a given attempt. It keeps interrupting my abilities, so everyone is always at low HP. Am I missing something here or do I just suck at the game? Should I be at a higher level for this fight? Should I have wandered around looking for side quests or other notable locations instead of heading for Under Junon? Any advice here would be greatly appreciated.
I would also recommend having lightning materia for every one in your party as well as a healing materia. Bonus if you have a lightning attack in your folios as well for everyone. The water balls it casts to trap you, are also weak to lightning. In the words of Patches O’Hoolihan- dodge, duck, dip, dive, dodge
You may be a bit underlevelled if you went straight to Under Junon. Doing sidequests gives the majority of exp to level, so if there are any available to do (you can see this on the region map) I would suggest doing those. Other than that try to treat the fight as more reactionary to what the boss does, then using your abilities first. If I remember correctly the boss should be weak to Lightning, so make sure most of the party you have can use Thunder.
Hmm, I beat him on my first try on Dynamic. You might be underleveled, have you been doing all the side quests?
That's not chapter 4 my guy that's still chapter 3. U need to go back to the grasslands and do some sidequests, and also do the junon chocobo ranch side quest to make sure you're not underleveled. Then upgrade your folios and make sure to keep your gear up to date.
Side quests will definitely give you more gear options and better survivability in general.
If you still want to do it first make sure you're using your synergy skills. Cloud's ranged synergy skills with Barret/Red are good for building ATB on both characters so you can quickly free bubbled members. They also let you stay out of melee range. Tifa/Cloud's aerial launch synergy skill is also great to get her stacks up. Cloud's defensive synergies that counter ranged attacks work on the water pistol attacks. Watch the ground when he does the creeping water move, you can eat a lot of damage from that without even realizing. Use lightning magic when it staggers. Barret is probably an MVP for this fight in general. Prayer materia on Barret is a solid choice as he gains ATB pretty quickly in my experience.
Don't sleep on defense. Take your time to defend yourself with guards, parries, synergy counters or just running out of the way.
I did a crazy run beating the entire hard mode in one day but I had just finished normal mode so no Genji Gloves and boosted stategies and some key materia were not max level.
I spent hours and hours in the last couple of fights and was able to reach the last battle with Aerith. But my build for Aerith was too bad and I ended kinda soft locked.
I restarted the whole fight to redo the builds to make Aerith stronger and some other battles on the way that I struggled a lot easier, but then fights I didn't struggle got difficult (due to the rearranging of materia), but I knew that by passing them, I'd be able able to reach Sephiroth and beat him with my new build.
On the last fight I had to play almost perfectly and got lucky with one attack leaving Aerith with 37hp and I was able to heal her.
Sephiroth started his last attack and I was able to send a firaga with Cloud, stun him and cast Transcendence for the win.
Honestly, this was one of the toughest boss runs I ever did. I don't like to compare games, but I'm comparing only my personal experience, to me this was way harder than dlc Radhan on Elden Ring, because I had to make a complete team build and balance it, besides needing to dodge, parry and do on point decision making through out the entire chapter (I love Enden Ring too, and it was pretty hard too, but there I got used to the move set and was able to beat it).
If you'd like to, I can send my build and what was my strategy. This was so rewarding I just wanted to share my experience =D
If you get a game over against the final Sephiroth fight, isn't there a checkpoint for the fight and you can open the menu to change your builds. No need to start the whole gauntlet over?
You have a chance to redo the build when you reach Sephiroth with Zack. But in the final fight I didn't notice it would let me get to the menu :/
At least I was able to reach the final fight with more mana on Cloud.
Tbh, my mind was not functioning well due to the entire hard mode run on one day.
doing hard mode within a day is a crazy feat! I just finished it two days ago and the final fight was a nightmare, partially because I game overed on first phase Sephiroth and didn’t notice that I had ti redo my loadout and found out at phase 4 and maan the last fight was terrible with Aerith having only HP/MP plus and a cure without magnify
I hear you about not comparing games too directly but I think when you’re focusing in on combat or hard fights it makes more sense to compare those elements to other games for that specific discussion
People don’t typically talk a lot about builds here that I see but some days I’m only scrolling by. I welcome it, post whatever you think is helpful and doesn’t take much of your time. People will see it, people will find it in search.
We still have lots of people who haven’t done all of Hard Mode or even played Rebirth and we have people who are waiting for Part 3 so there are plenty who will benefit still

Incessantly frustrating stunlocks from certain encounters and the insta-aggro on the PC party member.
To preface, i enjoyed Rebirth's combat. I'd go as far as saying it's one of the best action combat systems to exist in any JRPG. (Though I enjoyed the power fantasy of XVI, I need my party members.) But there are certain enemies in this game that put a blemish on an otherwise perfect blend of turned base & action combat, due to their frequent use of abilities that inhibit characters from taking action. This can be exacerbated by the insta-aggro on the player controlled character, when you are in a flow state building synergies.
Yes, there are ways to mitigate this such as materia & character swapping, but one thing that makes action combat SO fun, and I'd argue it's the one thing XVI's combat execute at a higher level, is battle rhythm. I found this to be frequently disrupted by knock backs, binds, grapples, and moves that occur with indistinguishable animation tells that allow your average/above average players to anticipate with counters. So instead of what should feel like a chess match, feels more like a dynasty warriors boss encounter.
I'm aware that if you pour countless hours into the game you can master its systems. But sometimes you are forces into 1v1 encounters that, on your first play through, can be rage inducing. And as someone who loves Souls-like titles, I'm an aspiring parry lord (operative word being aspiring). But in Rebirth, I'm often left frustrated on what can and cannot be countered or blocked, as well as how many attacks have virtual no tell & can disrupt your ATB spending abilities.
I'd love to hear anyone else's thoughts on this aspect of the combat. And before the die-hards come in, you can enjoy a game and still discuss critiques.
The most annoying thing to me is pausing to assign somebody to heal the party only for it to not go off, due to them being interrupted. It’s frustrating but it’s also on me for not making sure my healer is in a good spot where they can safely pop off a heal.
With a little patience I’m able to better position / time my heals. I imagine the same approach would help you out as well. Be patient and reactive towards enemies that you find keep interrupting you.
This is why Cloud is my healer, lol.
Set up radiant ward (Aerith) Call friend with healing-magnify to radiant ward with bodyguard and watch as they instantly teleport to your position. Have friendo cast curaga-magnify in radiant ward. They are now immune to interruption and incoming damage.
I use summons as either and aggro taker or interruption. Lots of their abilities with interrupt an enemy and allow for combo beginning.
Aggro-ing the enemy with the PC is a superpower. Besides making the enemy focus on the player, who has the greater capability of dealing damage while also avoiding damage (when compared to AI controlled), you can also switch to the character you don't actually want to be using at the time, have them grab aggro, and switch to the character you do want, while the AI deals with the attack. Gives you a decent chunk of time to build/spend ATB.
Enemies really don't insta-aggro the player controlled character in the way a lot of people are saying. I'd imagine this really just comes down to confirmation bias. From what I can tell, it definitely makes the player higher on the "targeting priority," but it definitely isn't a static "always only target the player character" rule. I even noticed more instances where the enemies were taking too long to target me when wanted them too than instances where I was frustrated that I kept getting targeted.
I feel like there’s priority on some characters and aggro building with actions. I get instant targeted when switching to Aerith, but I cannot get the enemies to attack me using Red.
I also feel like spending ATB generates aggro, the character you control generates more ATB, so it looks like they only target your character.
I tried it by having characters with two ATB charges execute actions back to back and the enemy stops targeting my character.
This, a big skill to learn in FF7R is to use skills while swapping, like wanna throw fat spell with Aerith play her, get the atb, start the spell then swap to Tifa.
Tifa is fast and can dodge easily, play her while Aerith is casting her spell.
summons are totally pointless and seem to do hardly any damage, unless you happen to use phoenix at the right time. I forget to use them lol.
Yeah that really is something I want to see improved in part 3, they could’ve gave us brief control over the summons like in FFXII, but I don’t see KOTR being like that so devs are probably gonna stick with useless summons that deal cheap damage.
I tried that zoomies battle in the gold saucer and Jesus fuck who designed that? Unless I'm missing something, if you don't have perfect block or counter mastered, you will get instantly stunlocked to death.
It makes sense for the enemy to aggro the active character, but it's not instant, the AI seems it will go after the last character to use an atb attack if you don't do anything too. And the player character is the most dangerous too. You can also exploit it by switching to somebody else and using an atb to leave your main character open for attacks or heals.
also I don't like when I tell somebody to heal and they get interrupted and waste an atb by an attack that basically came out of nowhere and I couldn't have reasonably predicted.
Unless I'm missing something, if you don't have perfect block or counter mastered, you will get instantly stunlocked to death.
I pretty much never bother with blocking and I managed so it's definitely doable.
It’s the only one in the first set I had to run multiple times. They were so fast they just chased my ass down. But I managed to slip through it at lvl30 cloud+tifa on dynamic without blocking or countering
Just looking for thoughts on bosses on Hard mode (aside from the commonly discussed such as Sephiroth and Rufus) that are sneaky tough, along with any tips to overcome.
I beat Rebirth on release week, but put it down for a very long time. I recently started again and am doing my Hard Mode run. Thus far, I've gotten through a lot without much trouble. Some bosses I've heard are tough weren't that bad for me, such as Crimson Mare Mk II. But I found some other bosses are incredibly under-the-table difficult. Namely:
Midgardsormr. No Yuffie ATB cheese and does massive physical damage. Squishy characters die on their own.
Gi Nattak. At the end of a dungeon with some very unforgiving damage. Concept of the fight really discourages healing.
White Terror. Fuck that flaming bastard. I'm so glad he's finally dead. That is all I can say.
If you've done your due diligence and assessed the bosses on Normal, it's pretty easy to set yourself up for succes using their weaknesses on Hard Mode before you go into the fight.
Having said that, GI Nattack was a bit of a bastard for me on my second hard mode run. Any boss that has an insta-wipe move stresses me out and I make bad choices 😂
The red dragon guardian made me very frustrated. His upgraded ability to drown the area with lava is explained poorly in his description, so there was a lot not trial and error.
Felt so fucking good after I beat him on the 10+ try.
I still feel like he's glitched on Hard Mode. You can't soften the blow of his move so it's an insta kill. You have to have Reraise cast to beat him. It's one of the very few things I think is really unfair in the design of rebirth.
Agreed. This, and Flowers on the Hill, were the most cheap fights in the game in hard mode.
You don't need Reraise, but it definitely makes it easier. Shell/Manawall and Regen can technically get you through it. Even setting up a heal cast right before you start taking damage.
This also brings up one of the big problems with bosses that stop taking damage to show a cutscene; The break bar seems to line up with the cutscene WAY too often. Where if you don't control the amount of stagger damage you do, you're going to stagger them and then waste the stagger because you were almost at a cutscene. Then, you start a second phase with an empty stagger bar. They REALLY need to figure out something else for the next game.
Manawall, Regen, Protect, and Shell makes it easier to survive. I switched Cloud out for Barret as well to beat this boss. His tanking abilities really helped. I couldn’t justify using Reraise and its high MP cost with the rest of the chapter remaining.
Aerith has Lustrous Shield that just blocks everything. After you cast firaga once and weed their numbers it's bearable.
Fire spells to exploit weakness.
With Aerith, I ran behind a rock that blocked their seed shots. Arcade Ward+ATB Boost+Firax2=Victory fanfare.
Not really a boss but the Cait vs two adjudicators in Chapter 11 took me many retries because I couldn't figure out how to dodge the sudden 9999-damage attacks
I literally just finished that fight, managing to kill both before they could cast ????. Fire-Elemental on armor, ATB Boost, and Moogle Knuckle was key.
I fucking hated that fight even on normal! I just beat it on hard the other day and still could not tell you how I managed it.
There are definitely fights that I struggled with on normal but weren't an issue on hard but so far that's the only one that broke me on both
Not even a boss but the quest Flowers on the Hill on hard mode is a complete nightmare if you don't think of using a particular spell, and it's literally one hour in. It's one of the few times I died during the story of hard mode.
Yeah, this was 100% the most difficulty I had in hard mode save for VR. Even with certain spells it's still very difficult to get them off and I had to change Aerith's setup completely.
Had really no troubles in any battle up until right now ; Chapter 7, the game decides it's time for me to suffer and gets me stuck with Hope and Snow. There's a billon enemies roaming around (all of them nearly impossible to get a Preemptive Strike on) and every single battle is a slog of just tanking with Snow trying not to get Hope killed and slowly attacking enemies. It's slow and tedious, but I get it done.
Then comes the boss.
Hits like a truck and I just struggle to deal consistent damage on it. I sloooowly build up his Stagger bar with Rav/Rav or Com/Rav, then he hits me with Hammertail and I'm forced to heal. Anything other than Sen/Med just gets me killed in the healing phase, so Snow tanks while Hope very slowly heals. Meanwhile his Stagger bar drains.
It's just super frustrating. I feel like Hope and Snow are just an awful pairing. Am I missing something?
Making good use of buffs/devuffs is the way to go through out. This is the first fight that is apparent. Vig boss fights from here forward, always use your synergist and sabatour. You will make life much simpler.
buffs. Keep them up throughout the fight. Then it becomes a war of attrition
use potions to supplement healing and equip a Doctor’s Code to double their effectiveness
make sure you have Hope’s defensive buffs active at all times
you shouldn’t need Sentinel unless shit goes very sideways, so generally stick to Com/Rav, Rav/Rav, or Rav/Med as you build stagger
Use hope as a synergist to cast protect and Barfire and the boss does basically no damage after that.
Then Com/Rav for two full ATB uses then switch to Rav/Rav for another two full use and repeat.
If you need healing, switch to Sen/Med get healed up as quickly as possibly and repeat as above.
Using Hope as a Synergist is key here
Sounds like good advice, I'll try this out. Thanks!
It's a good idea in this game to take advantage of Synergist and Saboteur paradigms. You'll be surprised at just how effective they are.
Also, you should always max out your crystarium before boss fights. Especially since you're coming up on the Chapter 9 boss, which is probably the hardest in the game aside from the final boss.
Also, every two switches (think it's 2) fully charges the atb gauge.
Keep us updated!
Echoing this.
Also, Palumpolum is my “ugh” moment in this game. Every title needs an ugh moment.
Playing a caster in any kind of voice chat can be kind of funny when a round goes from "dude why did you ditch us to go to cathedral we really needed help with that miranda flower" to "ohhhhhhh I see thanks dude," if you're able to drop blood/blackflame or find a good AOE heal for night 3. I think the heal is what I'm usually happiest to see on recluse or duchess, as you can sometimes be pretty hard up for ways to help people who are down more than one bar, and preventing that situation from existing is usually worth prioritizing over everything else. I do hope that this everdark cycle helps more players take a closer look at seals, but especially non-casters who can benefit from some healing or weapon support incants
Easiest is to use Raider and stock up on Damage Negation passives & warming stones throughout the run. I stayed in one spot with occasional dodging from bubbles and of course just dodging to the side for the laser beams.
If the bosses health is low, focus on the boss!! Who cares if I’m dead, go after the boss, stop trying to revive when it’s obviously not the right move
I had an iron eye quit on us in everdark after he went down to the gaping jaw 3 bars for the second time. He was probably bored since he spent 75% of that boss fight down. Still annoyed me.
Why would that annoy you The second he quits the boss loses 30% of its HP
He did you a favor him staying dead on the floor was giving the boss a health pool buff
Pretty much this. I know I'm not soloing the boss myself most of the time so I figure I may as well get you up if I can. I also do not enjoy the nagging feeling of pressure to finish the boss off, I like to slow down if I'm on my last chance but I really hate the idea that I'm doubly wasting someone's time with a failed solo attempt when we could just get on with it. Thankfully there's no deduction at night 3.
As a bird it's my job to make sure my babies leave the nest. I can't solo the boss, but I also can't die. (And then I die amongst my three barred children)
Counter point: Non Reverent player with her claws revives 3-bars in 4 seconds.
I have carried the lousiest teams through Everdark Libra solely because Rev dropped her claws. It’s so easy to revive with them.
I really hate that say it but the revive bonus should be taken away from the claws if rev isn’t using them. It’s completely fucking broken. It’s honestly criminal.
4 seconds is more than enough time for a boss to one shot you at higher depth. If you are 3 bars im waiting for my ult to res you
It's why when I see someone doing that I immediately know I'm playing with the noob
Like the guy has no ability to solo and you can tell he's nervous and he's like
"oh no oh no oh no oh no I'm alone I better just try to res this guy and if I fail it's okay because I was playing like a team player!!!"
You can tell these people have never played a game solo. And I'm talking like any of the souls games I've beat almost everyone solo myself which I guess is why I don't get nervous when my two teammates go down
I beat the nameless king by myself. Or any of these bosses for that matter except for some demon souls dark souls 2 that have been really really long
I get that but like I just fought ED pest and the guy was trying to revive me after Animus’ ultimate where Gnoster was just laying there
I did this the other day. Both my teammates died but only 1 bar and I was a little upset we didn’t get to full dps him but at the same time it was a great time to get both my teammates back in it
Awww…. Stop healing me you swineeee, the boss is one hittt
Yeah this is me i am sure i cant solo the boss have failed to clutch enough i just try to revive so worst case we all die in a pile 😭
that’s totally fair! i think people are thinking the same thing. “i’d rather die trying to save them than die trying to solo and be the hero”. sometimes it is better to solo and be the hero, but it depends on your confidence in your skill
Hello there!
Any chance anyone would be willing to help me with any of these through Share Play? Just 1 of them of choice would already really help me alot, I suppose once I unlock Götterdämmerung it should already become alot easier.
I am having such a hard time with these and it is the last thing I need to finish in order to get the Platinum. Also the only platinum that keeps me from having all my games on 100% haha, For some reason many KH bosses and FF Remake boss fights feel easier then these challenges.
This game has 61 trophies: 54 bronze, 5 silver, 1 gold, and a platinum.
They are very hard (8/10) and take 150 - 200 hours to complete.

Boss fight strategies in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Key Considerations for Boss Fight Strategies in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Know Your Enemy: Each boss has unique attack patterns and weaknesses. Study their moves to anticipate and counter effectively.
Party Composition: Ensure your party has a balanced mix of roles (damage dealers, healers, and support). Characters like Cloud and Tifa excel in damage, while Aerith can provide healing and support.
Limit Breaks: Save your Limit Breaks for critical moments in the fight. Use them to deal significant damage or heal your party when needed.
Materia Setup: Equip the right Materia for the fight. Consider using elemental Materia that exploits the boss's weaknesses, as well as healing and defensive Materia to sustain your party.
Dodge and Block: Master the timing of dodging and blocking to minimize damage taken. Some bosses have powerful attacks that can be avoided with precise timing.
Use Items Wisely: Stock up on healing items and buffs. Use them strategically, especially if your party is low on health or needs a boost in stats.
Status Effects: Utilize status effects like Slow or Poison to gain an advantage. Some bosses may be susceptible to these effects, making the fight easier.
Recommendation: For tougher bosses, consider using a combination of high-damage abilities and healing spells. Focus on keeping your party's health up while dealing damage during openings in the boss's attack patterns. If a boss has a specific elemental weakness, tailor your Materia and attacks accordingly to maximize damage output.
