General Admission and VIP Ticket Prices
For the 2022 Coachella event, ticket prices varied by tier. General Admission (GA) tickets ranged from $512 to $566 depending on the tier, with an option for a shuttle package starting at $602 [1]. VIP tickets were significantly more expensive, ranging from $1,052 to $1,196 across different tiers
[1]. These prices included shipping fees, which amounted to $17 per ticket
[1:6].
Hotel and Ticket Bundles
Coachella offers bundled packages that include both tickets and hotel accommodations. One example is a GA and Hotel Bundle for Weekend 2, which includes two GA passes and a hotel room with two queen beds for up to four people. This package was priced at $3,600 [2]. Another user mentioned selling a similar package, including four GA tickets and three nights at a hotel for $4,800
[5:1].
Resale Market Dynamics
The resale market for Coachella tickets can be quite dynamic. Tickets often sell for twice the price of Tier 1 passes on reseller sites like Ticketmaster and StubHub [3:1]. However, veterans advise waiting for general sales in January or even purchasing tickets closer to the event date, as they are often available below face value
[3:2]
[3:7]. The scarcity of camping passes and hotel accommodations is typically more of a concern than the availability of festival passes
[3:2].
Selling and Transferring Packages
Selling Coachella packages, especially those that include hotel accommodations, can require careful planning. Transfers can be authorized through Valley Music Travel, with specific deadlines and fees for alternate pick-ups [5:2]. Users have successfully sold their packages via Reddit, emphasizing the importance of safe transaction methods and proof of purchase
[5:5]
[5:8].
Additional Considerations
While buying early bird tickets can offer savings, the lineup and other factors might influence the decision to wait until closer to the event to make a purchase. Additionally, some users find it worthwhile to invest in bundled packages for convenience and assurance of accommodation [3:6].
I went through and added one ticket for the different price tiers in case anyone else is curious about the prices after shipping fees. These are all based on only ordering one pass per transaction, so costs would be a little lower if buying multiple tickets.
GA:
Tier 1: $512
Tier 2: $539
Tier 3: $566
Tier 1 with shuttle: $602
VIP:
Tier 1: $1,052
Tier 2: $1,133
Tier 3: $1,196
I haven’t attended in 3 or 4 years but I don’t recall there being shipping and convenience fees in the past. Am I delusional?
They were baked into the prices before. Still way more expensive now. I paid $993 total for two GA passes and car camping during the 2019 presale. Makes me even happier that I've held onto those tickets throughout this whole mess.
No, you’re not.
They were just included. They now separated them, for whatever reason.
$17 shipping fee I can accept, but the $200 inconvenience fee for 4 tix is ridiculous! Shame on you GV (or whoever is responsible for that)
Not to mention $17 for shipping. Even though they probably pay around $3 each package to ship.
Those all include the $17 shipping, but I agree $17 seems steep to ship a little box
This is GREAT!!!! Thank you for saving my group math
I've been going since 2011 and this is the first year I really noticed the price increase. $566 per ticket is obscene (...I complain after eagerly buying four tickets this morning).
Is this still available?

Don't worry, mods. I'm not selling. In fact, I came home with one unused ticket w/ shuttle from this year. What I do like doing from time to time is check TM and SH for what the passes are going for. It's more of a satisfying feeling knowing the early bird buys are worth it.
Looks like GA tix on the low end are 2X the price of pre-sale Tier 1 passes. Coachella veterans, is this normal around this time of year or speculation of huge headliners? I know the early set list isn't out.
I know the next round of pass sales will be in early January, since I bought 4 each in Tier 1/2. I remember waiting in queue for 75 minutes after I joined the second after sales began. How stupidly crazy will be the pass grabs be if a huge headliner is announced?
Passes selling for 2x tier 1 prices is really just preying on people who don’t know tickets go on sale again in January, or people who are already doing travel accommodations and don’t really care about price.
Most people will tell you there is no reason not to wait for the general sale. The thing that is probably more scarce than passes are camping passes and/or hotel accommodations.
Some people will tell you there is no reason to buy a ticket in the main sale as they have always bought tickets the week of the event for under face value, they’re usually SoCal locals.
If you’re asking about Taylor Swift, it’s hard to say. There are a couple factors:
There is no predicting the secondary market for Coachella tickets. The only thing I can say for sure is if she’s announced to headline the festival, scalpers & scammers will artificially influence prices a lot, so the true market value of a pass won’t be known for a while, and hotels & Airbnb hosts will pull some shit out of their ass to cancel existing reservations to re-book with Taylor hype price adjustments.
But the thing is that I remember everyone in this sub saying that the 2023 was worse than previous years. I still waited 75 minutes for my first buy of 4 passes (Tier 2), and 8 minutes for the second buy of 4 passes (Tier 3). These were January buys. I joined the queue in SECONDS.
That's why I got 4 passes, and my friend got 8 at the same time during the pre-sale in June. We are NOT reselling our passes unless friends drop out. I already setup reservations for 5 rooms, 12 occupants lodging for all of us.
Personally, I think I'm in it for $10,500 until paid back for the tickets and portions of the lodging.
You mean doing something thats been done for years? Its not a new idea at all. If you have to ask "who has done this?" Its probably been done already
My post was to ask those who have bought passes over the years back. Reddit search is pretty shitty. Have you actually been to Coachella, or just post in this sub about it?
Vets buy presale so they never have to worry about resale for passes or camping, generally speaking
Vets know tickets will always be available under Tier 1 pricing the month of.
yup, Vets also know the lineup will be solid any which way it comes
This is a terrible time to buy resale tickets for coachella
I don't get it either. I figured those people would be selling at the face value of what they paid. Coachella wasn't even on my radar at this point last year. I was hoping someone knew if the prices were normal.
Our group got split up last minute due to flight cancellations. Six of us went, two tapped out. These two tickets sat in my hide-a-wallet. We actually gave a pass w/ shuttle to a street performer in one of the burbs near Palm Springs. The other one I just kept, and consider it the most expensive merch I have from the fest.
There always people that are unaware and panic buy
Best time: days to hours before.
i’m interested in weekend 1 chella tik
Hello- has anyone purchased the hotel package w/ tickets and sold them on here? How does that work? Has anyone been able to transfer the tickets over or do I need to drive to La Quinta to hand them the tickets and hotel room? Any help understanding what works / been done in the past would be really helpful 🙏🏼 TIA (I’m not trying to make a profit either will sell at what I paid, maybe even discounted, as I’m getting married this year and could use the money I spent on this)
Thank you! Reading is fundamental! 🤣🤣❤️
Thank you OP for this post and @tayyylooor for the link.
I’m in the same boat. I have VIP tickets with hotel accommodations. How do people do the actual sale safely. Through what avenue. I live out of state.
I sold mine to someone I met on here! It’s possible ☺️
Can you tell me the exact details/steps on how you did it? Who did you email for the transfer & how did you collect payment?
Selling weekend 1 GA for Hampton Inn if anyone is interested!
messaging you!
Selling my Coachella Weekend 2 package; includes 4 GA tix + shuttle passes, as well as 3 nights at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Indio.
$4800 total ($1200/ticket)
I can send/show any proof of purchase required. The package can easily be transferred into the buyer’s name until Friday, 4/5.
Hi! First timer. We bought two tickets for W2 and was now hoping to add a hotel package but noticed all of the hotel packages come with 2 GA tickets anyway. Is there a way I can just combine the hotel package to my existing tickets or do I have to sell & re-buy? Pleaseeee help lol
This year in 2022, I emailed valley music travel and was able to just “add” on the hotel to my 2 VIP tickets. It took like a couple weeks but it was just a few emails. They had me book the hotel package, tell them my new order number and then refunded me for the first tickets.
This was in like, February, after the general sale. So maybe they’ll tell you to wait but it’s worth a shot. They were very friendly. I think they called it something like a “refund re-buy”.
Although with AXS in the mix now, not sure.
not possible. you have a few options:
- just get the hotel separately, might be a bit more expensive than doing the package itself
- buy the package, sell the tix, maybe 2 friends will want to join from now til April?
- buy the package, and if you bought your original tix through payment plan you can default on that (change/cancel CC), you will be out the $99 deposit, but you might be saving more than that on the package compared to getting the hotel separately, just an idea
Just sell the tickets later and make more money later
This is not always true. Beyoncé had high resell value but not since.
Thanks for the advice! Might just try buying the package and losing out the $99. Packages seem a lot easier than trying to piece together a trip
i found this, so will have to pay an additional $50 , you'll have to do all the math to make sure you're actually saving $$
"Defaulting on payments will result in cancellation of your order and a $50 restocking fee. No exceptions. It is your responsibility to manage your payment plan and to check your credit card and bank statements for charges."
looks like they will have a way to return passes, though this feature is not avail yet

No. You’ll have to purchase a new package.

Hey everybody, this is gonna be my first time trying to use the pre sale payment plan. I usually buy in full but figured why not try this way. Has anybody on here done they payment plan for a vip ticket? If so what was the down payment and payments like? Also for payment plan is there a credit check? Any info is much appreciated :) thanks!
I did last year, the deposit was $99; and then each payment afterward was like $650 for 8 months; but we got a luxury hotel for 4 nights!
Was this the hotel package through VMT?
Yes!
VIP isn’t worth it. Save your money.
$99 up front. Balance split into 8 payments I believe. No credit check
99 even for vip tix?
we dont have info yet, nobody knows exactly what the costs will be
in the past its been 99 down. Go to their website and check out the payment plan section for more deets.
When do tickets go on pre sale??
In the next few weeks most likely. People we're expecting it this week but GV dropped the Day n Vegas lineup and ticket sale this week. Thinking they will let that breathe and have coachella presale next week. educated guess
Thanks!!
Last year after the deposit you had the option to pay the remaining balance over 4 months OR over 8 months. No credit check.
