Eligibility and Access
Dell offers student discounts to eligible students, typically verified through platforms like SheerID or Unidays. These platforms require proof of student status, such as a university email address or enrollment documents, to access exclusive deals and discounts on Dell products [3:1]. It's important to ensure you have the necessary documentation ready when applying for these discounts.
Discount Details
The specific discount amount can vary depending on the product and promotion. For example, some users have reported significant savings on laptops and accessories when combining student discounts with other promotional codes or credit card offers [3:1]. It's advisable to check Dell's official website or authorized resellers for current promotions and stackable offers.
Product Availability
While Dell provides discounts on a wide range of products, availability may vary. Some high-demand items might not be eligible for discounts, or they may have limited stock. If you're interested in a particular model, it's a good idea to act quickly once you confirm your eligibility for the discount.
Additional Tips
By leveraging these discounts effectively, students can acquire high-quality Dell products at more affordable prices, making it easier to invest in technology essential for their studies.
Hello, I graduate soon and am very excited to be done with school. I have just over a year and some change working in the automotive manufacturing sector and really enjoyed it. I'm looking to get into a full time position in manufacturing automation, revamping current systems and machine areas into automated cell than can be easily reproduced to scale with demand. Id like to stay in the south and would really like to live in charlotte (depends on if you consider NC the south lol) Please let me know if you see anything that should be changed, I'm open to constructive criticism so don't hold back. Thanks!

Don't bold anything within your bullets, it's distracting and makes it harder to read.
Put your email, phone, and LinkedIn link all on the same line.
Spacing between horizontal line and first entry under each section is too large.
Swap Education and Skills sections. Prez List thing is unnecessary since decent GPA...would recommend putting GPA to right of your major separated by a comma and bolding it. Put Expected
before graduation date.
Thank you!
looks extremely wordy ngl
This. Too many corporate-esque word and subjective adjectives like:
A lot of this lingo should be reserved for more senior positions. Bottom line OP, all the content in your engineering bullets needs to be as technical as possible.
We care not about the fact that you work complied w/ customer guidelines and improved CAD proficiency, we wanna know what software, engineering methods, materials, ...etc you used to make an impact. E.g.: what CAD suite and materials you used and for the bracket and pneumatic lube system.
I see some metrics in your bullets (which is great) but several of them are at the dead end of the sentence. Try to move them towards the first 1/3 of each bullet so it easier for recruiters to see when they skim.
Don't let your bullets (1) extending to 3 lines, and (2) extend to the second line for only 4-ish words. It's a big waste of real estate.
For your skills, consider tab-indenting like below so they're easier to read:
Hi all! I’m looking for some clarity and advice.
i moved into my flat last september with my roommate. i’m an undergraduate student and was going into my 2nd year at the time and she was a post graduate who was going into a 1 year masters program. At the beginning of our tenancy, we submitted our letters from our University for the tax exemption and have not had to pay council tax.
Now that my roommate’s degree is finished, she will be moving out on the 15th of November.
In this buffer period between her moving out and me finding a new student roommate, what happens with council tax? Do i need to update my exemption letter every year? or just when the tenancy agreement changes?
I would assume it will be graduation date and do nothing unless the council contact you. Update them when you have a new student flat mate.
It's not the graduation date, it's the course finish date which is usually earlier than the graduation date.
If her course finishes before she moves out then she'll be liable for council tax from the date it finishes. Your exemption should be valid until your course end date unless you leave uni before that.
oh no :( will the 25% discount on fees apply automatically since they have both our letters stating my end date as much later or is that something i have to apply for?
She's the one who would be liable so she would apply for the 25% discount, you're still disregarded.
Basically - council tax is due from the official date of the end of their course until they move out and the flat is all students again. You get a 25% "lone person" discount since for Council Tax purposes they are the only person living in the property, and REALLY they should pay the council tax since they are the one causing it to be due, but LEGALLY you're all liable.
https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/scotland/housing/council-s/council-tax-s/
Your flatmate should report the change in circumstances that they are OFFICIALLY no longer a student from whatever date their course ends. If that is a date before they move out, then they need to request the 25% discount for the applicable charge from that official date till they move out.
They need to confirm date of moving nearer the time. The council will then remove them from the property, leaving you the resident and non chargeable student and when you get new flatmate, if they are a student, then they provide that proof and move in date. They are added to the property but non chargeable status remains.
If your flatmate doesn't pay the council tax for the relevant period, then the council can hold you "jointly and severably liable" but they would normally only do that if your flatmate moves out of the council area and can't be traced for payment.
There is some contradictory information in this post. I think it is best to examine the official council guidance. There is also a good pdf file with more detailed info: https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/discounts-exemptions/student-council-tax-discount
You can get legion pro 5 (2025) for 1.3 to 1.4 after cc discount, sheer id, uniday discount and coupons. In this price range, it is currently the best with tough competition from predator and omen.
but I heard lenovo has motherboard issues
Legion doesn't have them. Legion is at the top of premium gaming laptops.
Loq had motherboard issues but they were resolved last year in aug. Even if they have issues, lenovo has excellent after sale service, so they replace it.
Legion doesn't have motherboard issues.
Having trouble getting responses for many new grad and junior roles. I have 10 months of experience as a software engineer, which was a return offer from my internship, but I left due to medical reasons and was unable to return since the position was filled. I am currently completing my master's degree while gaining research experience in the NLP/AI field and exploring new graduate roles for the upcoming year. Any tips are appreciated!
All my schooling was done online, which could certainly be a factor.
Light blue text for your contact links is hard to read. Just use black. Also, it's GitHub (capital H)
Add some space above your B.S. degree so it's not all mushed together. Recommend replacing the semicolon w/ a comma.
Move skills underneath your education and consider tab indenting like below so it reads cleaner:
No need to indent your bullets...that's the purpose of the bullet itself. Align them flush w/ the left margin.
Would recommend not using ALL CAPS for your Section titles, as it's a bit "loud".
Space below the company name on each role entry is a tad bit large. Also, save yourself some vertical room by putting your job title, company name, company location, and date range all on 1 line like:
Known Bank, SWEngineer – Chicago, IL >>skip>> [date range]
You specifically may want to put the bank before your title since the bank will draw attention.
On your date ranges:
The default Computer Modern font is hard to read (ref: 1, 2) and doesn't help your resume stand out amongst all other CS grads using this template. I recommend using one of the following fonts by type:
Charter
, Cambria
, MLModern
Calibri Light
, Nunito
, IBM Plex Sans
, GE Inspira
Micro-visual-optimization:
- The order of your contact links makes LinkedIn appear off-center. Try putting LinkedIn URL first and email in the middle in hopes to center it visually a bit more.
- A bit too many spaces padding the "|" characters. Also, looks like you have 1-space less (as shown) before the GitHub link.
Get rid of all the keyword bolding. It's distracting.
I feel like it helps me digest it easier
How many resumes are you looking at a day? As a recruiter, there are days I am legitimately looking at 1K+ resumes in a day. Here's the other thing. 70-90% of people don't even meet the minimum qualifications. I literally have people who never went to law school applying to attorney positions.
A simple clean and easy format is the way to go. Bolding a number or a word isn't going to do much. In the first few seconds, I'm scanning to see your titles, companies, and technical skills. Bolding inconsistently is going to make that harder.

does AW3425DWM support dell display and peripheral manager? because i want to use PBP feature and wanted to connect laptop and desktop to this monitor, also want to use KVM etc features if those are supported in this monitor? I know that PBP can be set from on screen display, but display and peripheral manager is much handy.
Also want to know that If I use PBP to connect two PCs and then turn the monitor off and on again, will the PBP settings remain saved, or do I need to set it up every time? Also, if PBP is enabled and I turn off one of the systems, will the monitor automatically switch to full screen for the remaining system, or do I have to manually disable PBP?
Is it possible to change monitor settings like PBP/PIP and KVM directly from the Alienware Command Center?
It's not a KVM. It won't share the USB ports between two computers. It'll support dual display inputs (in fact three inputs), but it won't share the USB ports across multiple.
As for PIP and PBP, those are monitor-internal features and not governed by the software you mention. It'll work with the software, as all Dell and AW monitors will, but the software won't magically add features that need to exist at the hardware level. You'll need to check the specs on Dell's site to see which features it supports...
Thank you, The AW3425DWM monitor does support both PBP and KVM. However, on the download page for this monitor, I don’t see Dell Display and Peripheral Manager (DDPM) listed as a download option.
if someone can confirm if it’s still possible to install DDPM for this model, even though it’s not listed?
I know Alienware Command Center is available for download for this monitor, but I haven’t found any information confirming if it can control PBP and KVM settings. DDPM is known to allow these controls on compatible monitors, but since it’s not listed for the AW3425DWM.
The software will work even if it isn't listed as an official download. But it categorically will not work as a KVM - KVM stands for Keyboard, Video, Mouse. It will not switch the keyboard or mouse between machines, and thus it absolutely cannot work as a KVM.
Listen, just change your google account name to exactly match your ID card name and let me know

You've asked a question about earning beermoney.
If you're struggling financially: Please also look into Citizens Advice, Turn2Us for benefits/grants you might be entitled to, and Trussell Trust to find immediate help while you work on longer-term solutions.
If you're after beermoney/pocket money, there are plenty of ways to earn. The main opportunities include cashback rewards from sign-up offers (especially bank switches), which can provide quick earnings. Some offers are free money, others require small deposits. Beyond that, there's traditional beermoney, matched betting, gaming, and user testing. Find what works for your available time, but don't let this replace a job.

Enjoy.
that didnt workf or outlet :(:(
What is it exactly that you are trying to purchase?
I’m a developer working FT and wanted to buy MacBook considering the fascinating Offer only for students.
My younger brother is a med student and I highly doubt his ID ( he doesn’t even have ID he has a badge which has only his name on it) would work.
So if I use any friend’s or any known person’s Student ID will that affect my purchase?
Asking for myself :p Please batao.
nope nothing will happen, you can use it
Thanks!
no issues will occur
u can use it
My elder cousin used my student ID to buy samsung watch
You can do the same for mac
title!
we have ids… and i know most places (not locally, hence why i ask lol) usually offer college student discounts. anyone know of any here?
If youre in the Charleston campus, the denny's on W Charleston blvd gave me a discount. I didnt know and didnt have my ID but they still gave it to me.
if you shop at albertsons and have their app they have a 5% discount with each purchase (you just need to verify youre a student but the process is super easy). Also at any galaxy theatres if you dont have your school ID you can show them your email on the canvas app and theyll give you a student discount off tickets (im not 100% sure how much they take off but i think its like half — it was a good chunk off i was surprised)
Spotify also had a student discount and its like hulu w ads and it costs $5.99 a month
Converse!
Target has student discounts. Right now I have 20% off laundry supplies on target circle. Amazon prime has a student discount.
If you got the pell grant you might qualify for discounted PCs through https://www.pcsforpeople.org/
AMC theaters have student discounts. I think the ones on Rainbow and Town Square offer it but I'd double check ahead of time.
Hi all, Does anyone know whether Apple still do discounts on their products for teachers? I’m sure they used to but have no clue if that’s changed. If so, how much discount, and what ID or proof do I need to show?
Yes the discount on hardware is about 10% - I just use the edu version of the online store.
Yeah, they don’t really even check if you’re qualified. Only for Apple Music Student discount.
They have a range of offers on now, free AirPods, etc
Everyone has mentioned hardware, but don’t forget EDU prices for apple software and other osx software (if its offered). However, EDU prices mean that when it comes to upgrade times, you generally pay the ‘full upgrade price’ that non-edu purchasers pay when they upgrade software.
Woolworths is giving 20x Everyday Reward points on Apple gift cards until January 21st for reward members.
If you bought, say, $1k of Apple gift cards, you’d get $100 off your next grocery/petrol/Big W shop.
You might be able to stack your Apple discounts?
I’ve bought Apple stuff from JB with the education discount - I just asked about it, and they said “Nah, you don’t have to prove it - no one would ask about it if they weren’t a teacher.”
I wouldn’t say that too loud 🤫
