Additionally, considering the broader context of his character and how he fits into the community can enhance the overall experience of interacting with him in the game.
I love imagining my farmers interactions with Elliott. This is from my second save file, I married Elliot in the last one too. I just went to the mines for a bit of stones and I got Ink! I immediately went to Elliotts hut to give it to him and I was just laughing at the idea, that the farmer comes in randomly, without knocking or anything, into Elliotts hut, wet from the rain, covered in monster slime, dirt and wet sand, only to give a loved gift.
Why did this make me like elliot so much more. Like hes one of my least fav and now a regret not dating him for longer and giving him a chance omg
He is my favorite. When I played for the first time, I actually wanted to get to know all bachelors and bachelorettes, but then I saw him.
I just love romantic boys with long hair.
I was devastated when I realized he is not that popular and people have issues with him.
I love Elliott for the same reasons! This art had me giggling fr, it's so cute. I love our long-haired poet 🥰
Hahahaha yea im more into Abigail or sebastian which says alot but u do u. U do make him seem so lovely in the drawing tho omg
Wait, this is so so so so cute 😭😭 Thank you for sharing, OP! You're so talented!
Thank youu <3
Omg they’re so cute >:D
Aww. This is adorable! I love their expressions and her cute pose, it really shows how excited your farmer is to give Elliot the ink!
okay so. i love morris. it's self-explanatory from my flair. strive, etc, whatever.
i decided i'd romance elliott this time, for funsies, and his romance has been so cute. i know joja sucks and bringing them into town would make such a poetically pretty place into a corporate mess and i can't? do that to him? what if it interferes with his writing.
so i've been reluctantly completing the community center for the first time. morris is malding over it. but i can't harm elliotts writing.... is this my character arc?
elliott is the unknown hero of the valley. thankless and underappreciated!
I love Elliot. I love that he’s a gentle spirit, yet still masculine. He has strong joie de vivre.
right? me too. i've absolutely fallen in love with him! i added a massive pomegranate orchard on my farm just so i could give him heaps.
I love seeing take like this, because my own reaction to him when I first started playing was "this guy is a frickin tool." He's grown on me since, but still isn't close to my favorite of the bachelors. That would be Sebastian, who besides being my type in general also seems like the only one I would actually get along with platonically. Chill, just social enough to not be a cave goblin, likes music, computers, and machines? Can I find a cute boy like this in real life please? Lol
Elliott is the best! ♥️♥️♥️
Elliott is my top choice for husband and it's not close. I married Shane once (never again) but otherwise than that, it's Elliott or one of the ladies for me. I love when he gives me coffee in the morning because my real life partner does the same thing.
I Like him 🤓
Elliot is in my opinion one of the most lovable characters in the game
I really want to draw a comic, or small stories of 2 or 3 chapters of Elliott and the farmer, but I'm lazy and I have some personal projects 😭
thank you for making Elliot fan art. I rarely see him him. He's super underrated, gives you love letters, helps you in the farm, YEARNS for you. What more can you ask for.
you're welcome
and yes, he's a sweetheart with the farmer, 😭 when he handed me a little letter I was so happy and smiling
he is a sweetheart
Eliot's a man!?!?!??!
Yeah lol, did you think he was a woman? 😭 has a female character similar to him, Leah
The way you drew his side profile is no doubt my favorite design for his face I've ever seen!! 🧡🧡 your art style looks lovely too :))
Edit: also I love how fruity he looks in this, hehe
Thank you so much 🤓😭
I always had the impression that he was delicate (which makes me like him more 💕💕💕)
He is such a sweet babygirl. Love him so much.
I love how Elliott is taking over from Disney princesses the unrealistic hair expectations 😂 Awesome art, OP.
he takes very good care of his hair
I'm jealous of him
This is my first time receiving a gift. I didn’t know a villager could give you a gift, lol.
He looks much better in your playthrough than in mine hahahahaha.
For me he just has a bald head and wears beige clothes.
Mine died from the pox! Thanks visitors 😠
Unless you’re lactose intolerant. Then that “gift” is a threat lmao
It’s just a decoration tho lol
I keep getting fishing rods ㅠㅠ
Mine is beer! Besides the young ones and Sebastian, it seems to be an easy way to get heart points
I made a coffee plantation and exploited the labour of junimos. They work in exchange for renting my huts. Then I used coffee to get all the villagers to like me.
Mayor luwis' purple underwear
Fiber.
It’s cheap and it makes everyone hate me.
Win/win
Fruits are liked by everybody. If they are not available, mayo or coffee would do nicely with few exceptions.
I like the cooking aspect so I try to cook them their favorite meals. And gemstones because I love receiving gemstones irl.
Doing some research, any feedback is appreciated.
Linus because he enjoys all of the foraged items. Half of the time something is already near his tent so it’s easy to give to him. Plus he gives you the wild bait recipe which is extremely helpful early game
+1 on Linus! He's so easy to find gifts for, and it's nice when he starts trusting you.
Yeah, I love that cut scene, for the bait. It’s kinda funny in a way. Great choice thank you for your opinion
The Wizard. Always at his tower and makes good use of my excess void essence.
He’s a fun character, too which adds to why I like him. Thank you for your favorite.
Leah. She cherishes every piece of drift wood I give her, which just makes me giddy inside.
Everyone else is like "Oh, this? My favorite. Well, time to complain about money, being trailer trash, or dating girls half my age again."
I love Leah too she is the most relatable of all the characters for me. We are very similar. Thank you for your favorite. Have a wonderful day
Harvey - give him coffee and he's happy ☕
So true
sam, i just toss a trash joja cola at him and he loves me
Thank you for your favorite
Literally
I went to the community center in search of Clint on his birthday and found Emily admiring the community center loom instead. I gave her an emerald because I have extras and I know she likes crystals and gems... and yeah, I thought maybe she could give one to Clint, too.
I love this response. Emily knows she's admired.
Just checked the conditions for this dialogue. It is not tied to the day, just the gift.
Is there a reason why she says that? I just recently got her response like this, and was confused lol
I thought for sure i had given her emeralds before.... if she say that on any day, I have no idea what it means.
She is spiritual/ psychic so is trying to draw deeper meaning from the gift
I don't like Clint... But that was because he was VERY rude to me once... I just made friends with him because of his perfection
bahahaha what did he say to you?
Not the person you asked but one of his dialogue options are “don’t you have work to do?”
Emily: "Oh! Heheh.... I know exactly why you gave me this emerald stone today. Very interesting..."
Farmer: "Yeah. Because you look like Sonic the Hedgehog."
Emily: "...What?"
Farmer: "Keep that chaos emerald safe, Blue!"
Obama chuckled
Clint 🤝 male loneliness
Clint would play Stardew Valley to feel he has some friends of his own.
Why do i feel called out
The highest quality gifts column shows the best possible gift including items which can be gold or iridium. The easiest column shows what I thought was the easiest gift to get maximum friendship points (Some people like Alex and Kent have only 2 loved gifts that can be annoying to make). Anything in red is a liked gift rather than a loved gift.
Emily takes all the forage flowers as gifts so far in my playthrough (first playthrough). I'd personally call that the easiest gift
You get more friendship points for basic gems though
Why would void eggs be the easiest gift you can give sebastian? It's random if you get it.... sashimi is so much easier, and you can use crab pots for the ingredients.
I honestly think void chickens are easier and are also better quality. As soon as I get Krobus I drop $5000 to buy one egg, then start breeding them
I have four void chickens so that makes it pretty easy
Yeah but if you get a good chicken you get them everyday I’m pretty sure.
I feel like Leah's easiest is Salad because the saloon sells it, fairly cheap, and its a loved gift
I usually have a couple pigs, plus the Iridium quality gives a plus 50% bonus
Ah. I never made it to pigs so I've always gone this way
Nice list, could have used this a week ago, I'm in Y1 Winter raising the values.
Wouldn't Elliot's best gift be Pomegranate/Duck Feather? (As they can increase in quality)
And I found eggs to me easiest for Alex, salad would be easier than truffles for Leah, etc. Just personal preference?
You're right. I need to change that tomorrow
Up to this point, it was the same dialogue: "It's not much, but I hope you like it." I never put any monetary value on the gifts I get, and I do enjoy every one of them even as I gift my secret their favorite.
But this all changed last night.
Jas walked up and told me she hoped I liked a gift she found on the beach. It was clay. I thought, "Oh, how cute". Then she said she's very happy I moved to Pelican Town.
Damn. DAMN! That's the single most surprising line I had never seen before and it's now my favorite. A little girl I often ignore as I watch her jump rope on my way of collecting hard wood or talking to a senile old man living alone in a tower and she tells me she's glad I moved to town.
That's the most valuable gift anyone could get. Puts the tea set to shame.
I took the clay she gave me and put it on a table in my house. I will cherish it every day.
I cannot believe I never experienced this until now.
Now I wait to see what Vincent will say. I haven't received a gift from him, either.
I put this in a spoiler because this dialogue isn't on the wiki I could see, so people who have played this game and never got a gift from Jas can be pleasantly surprised as well.
Well done, Eric. This game never ceases to surprise and amaze me. Now you know why I have over 4k hours invested in it.
I kept the rainbow shell she gave me during Winter Star, and I had the same reaction you did. I’m putting it in my house on Ginger Island.
On my current playthrough, Penny was my secret gift recipient. I gave her an emerald. Her mother, Pam was assigned to gift me and gave me....an emerald. WTF PAM
Edit: had the wrong name.
I bet she snatched it right out of Penny's hand to re-gift it to you!
I like how the townsfolk acknowledges our existence more in the new update in subtle little dialogues like these.
4000 hours
Mate, are you okay?
If somebody took two weeks of vacation a year, that is equivalent to the hours worked for a full two years of a 9 to 5 job. Making a bunch of assumptions, if somebody was earning a median salary for some places in the US, the after-tax take-home income could be $60k a year. So maybe $100k to $150k worth of time put in to a game that cost about $15 is quite the value ha ha.
I've easily put in a similarly disgusting amount of time in this game, but it isn't wasted if I've enjoyed all of it.
Dude I have well over 4k hours on this game and I work full-time, have a D&D group I see every week and am married with a dog and lots of friends. The game's been out for years.
Why did you marry a dog and a bunch of your friends?
that’s an average of 1.25ish hours a day since it released
People complain about the kids gifting clay, but I feel like they know your farmer is a crafty kind of person, and they're giving something they know you'll use. That said, you should be able to craft a tea set out of 1,000 clay.
IIRC clay drop rates got nerfed or something, so it's probably welcome now
YES thank you.

Recommendation: If you're looking to maximize friendship quickly, focus on giving him Pomegranates during the fall, as they are easy to grow and can be harvested multiple times if you plant them in the greenhouse later on.
