My absolute favorite was one my friend got from Jaz during one of our playthroughs. She gave him a piece of clay. The best part was he'd been spending the last month trying to find clay to build something (can't remember what) so I like to joke that she saw the weird farmer digging up a bunch of dirt and decided that he just really liked dirt. My friend was pissed because I got a pink cake from, I think, Sebastian (what really got me was the comment he made of "It's not much but it's all I could afford") and he got a single piece of dirt while giving his secret person an emerald.

I made a coffee plantation and exploited the labour of junimos. They work in exchange for renting my huts. Then I used coffee to get all the villagers to like me.

I like the cooking aspect so I try to cook them their favorite meals. And gemstones because I love receiving gemstones irl.
