How to Pay Your Target RedCard Bill Online

TL;DR To pay your Target RedCard bill online, visit the Target RedCard account management website and log in. You can set up autopay or manually pay each month using the "Pay Now" button [2:2].

Online Payment Options

The primary method for paying your Target RedCard bill online is through the Target RedCard account management website. Once logged in, you should see a "Pay Now" button under your balance information [2:2]. However, some users have reported issues with this button disappearing, which may require contacting Target customer support at 1 (800) 394-1829 to reactivate it [2:3].

Autopay Setup

For convenience, you can set up autopay through the Target RedCard website, which automatically deducts the payment from your bank account each month [1:2]. This option can help avoid missed payments and late fees.

Alternative Payment Methods

If online payment options are unavailable or problematic, you can pay your RedCard bill in-store at the guest service desk using debit, cash, or check [5:2]. It's important to note that you cannot pay off a credit card with another credit card [5:4].

Troubleshooting Payment Issues

Users experiencing difficulties with the online payment system, such as missing payment options or login issues, may benefit from trying different browsers or devices [2:1]. If problems persist, contacting Target customer support or visiting a TD Bank branch might offer additional solutions [2:6][2:7]. Additionally, filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has helped resolve similar issues for other credit cards [2:8].

App for paying Redcard bill?

ORIGINAL POST

Hi Target experts, I'm interested in opening a Redcard credit card account, but my main worry is forgetting to pay the bill. Right now, with all my other credit cards I sit down and pay them all at once one day a month, using the apps on my iPhone. Does Redcard have an app through which you can pay your bill?

You can set up the credit card to autopay the balance through the website.

If you get the Red debit Card, it’ll just take each purchase amount out of your bank account so you don’t have to worry about monthly payments. Same benefits as the credit card

I’m so tempted to do the debit card, but worried about the card # falling into the wrong hands and my bank account getting cleaned out before I catch it. It’s easier to dispute a credit charge than a debit and get your money back. Thanks for your response!

It's why it requires a pin no matter what and with the data chip it's actually safer than the magnetic strip. While the information is stored on the chip, the neat thing is that every single transaction has it's own code that's instantly destroyed after you checkout. So even if hackers got that number its useless.

The only type of fraud it doesnt protect against is card not present which is basically online shopping.

You can go through the target app but all is does is open the link in the browser on your phone. There is a autopay option though.

No app

You can buy your stuff with it and then go straight to guest service to pay it off though

Or just get the debit one so there is no bill

Target redcard/circle card payment problem

Posted by D4nteM19 · in r/CreditCards · 1 year ago

Does anyone else have this issue with the target redcard/circlecard , when trying to make a payment online there is literally no payment option available and whenever i pay by phone it’s a 50/50 chance they take the funds from my checking account and when they don’t they hit me with a returned payment fee when ik the funds are available🤦‍♂️

it’s like the only way im guaranteed of getting my payment to go through is when i do it in store

i’ve contacted both targets redcard support number and my bank , target was basically no help telling me the payment option on the website should be on the main menu but it’s literally not… and my bank is saying there’s no reason the payments should not be going through

I don't understand. I use Target all the time. You login and it has your balance info and there's a red button under that on the left that says Pay Now. Are you using this website?

I’m trying to pay my Target red/circle card and I’m encountering the same issue. I have no Pay Now button. The Pay Now button was always there for years, but disappeared this time. I’ve logged on with 3 different devices in 2 different browsers for each device and it’s not there.

Edit: I spoke to a Target Circle Card rep (call 1 (800) 394-1829) he was able to reactivate the Pay Now button within a couple minutes.

I'm in the same boat. The option is simply gone. It also won't let me message support online. It's like they want to force me to call them but when I do they don't seem to know what's going on either.

I made a CFPB complaint. It's gotten a response with other credit card issues in the past, we'll see if it does here.

That's so strange, but I remember when I first opened my Target cc online account, there was a huge problem with the passwords and my sister had the same problem, so I guess I'm not that surprised. You might try using a different browser and see if works. That's a hassle to have to call to pay your bill. Good luck.

You can do bill pay with your bank and just send TD Bank the payment. You may be able to walk into a TD Bank branch and make the payment if you have those near you, not 100% sure about their branded cards.

Yeah please do share if they take a payment in branch. I know for a fact one can pay TD's regular credit cards in branch, but I have no idea about their branded services. I saw nothing regarding that from a quick Google search as well.

It is an alright card, if you are not a big Target shopper it probably is not worth the headache it is causing you. Having these weird middlemen acting as customer support between the bank and the client are always frustrating to deal with as they serve no purpose and have no power to do anything.

I just had the same thing happen to me with my target card.. the first time I paid my card .. I called cause for some reason the payment had not came out of my acct I called and they said it was returned. They said my bank did not accept the way they tried to take the money out of my acct. So now I my payment got returned and now I have to pay the fees.. this is ridiculous.. like all my payments always go through this is the first one I have ever had issues with.. now I'm having to pay the consequences for their stuff. I don't know how they try to take the money out but it's just weird that this is the only card I have ever had a issue with.. it's horrible.. this isn't my fault and the money is in my acct . This is why I don't understand why places don't do Debit cards to pay on acct. For some reason I think it's because of this reason right here . It keeps them making more money so to this problem cause it happens to a lot of people.. just a way to get you for more money. I will no longer be using this card.. I will pay it off in store which is an inconvenience and never touch it again and close it.

Red card/Circle card payment

Posted by ga__girl · in r/Target · 1 year ago

Hello! I’ve had a redcard card for a while now.

Ever since they rebranded it to the circle card, the payment options are missing from my account options when I login. There is literally no way to pay or even schedule a payment, so I have been calling to pay every month.

Does anyone else have this issue? Trying to get it fixed to no avail.

You can also pay in store at the guest service desk too.

I don’t have too much insight on how to fix it, but I would recommend calling guest relations and asking them.

Target RED Card--Online Portal

Posted by metsforever · in r/CreditCards · 6 years ago

Does anyone know if Target has plans to introduce a way to pay off your RED card on the Target app or introduce a new app for it?

I love the 5% off, but as many users have mentioned in other posts, the online RED Card payment system is absolute trash. It always takes me at least 10 minutes just to login to my account despite having my username and password info written down. I'm not sure if this hassle is worth the extra 3% savings anymore.

Nothing I have heard about making the site better. You can pay over the phone or in store, but that sounds miserable. What takes 5 minutes about logging in? I have had issues in the past with security questions not working, but it seems like it has been ok the last 6 months or so.

3 upvotes on reddit
metsforever · OP · 6 years ago

I still have the issue with security questions where it makes me reset them every time. Today was an extra hassle because it told me my password was incorrect, so I went to reset it. The site kept telling me to enter a "valid" response for password, to no avail. So I tried requesting a new password reset link. When I open my email, I see 4 emails saying that my password change did apparently go through...no clue which attempt stuck. So anyway, try again, and now it says I've reset it too many times and can't change it at this time.

Overall, every time I've logged in, it is just an exhausting process, whether it's security questions or this, so was really hoping a new interface might be in the works.

Update for everyone: After waiting 30 min in queue, I spoke to a Target rep today. I pushed and argued with the agent until I got the truth… Target corp got a new internal system and is having problems with it. And if you pay your balance, the credit will not become available for 2-3 weeks. Target is not telling cardholders this. I dragged it out of her. Said agent kept trying to put the blame on my bank and said they needed me to call my bank to verify info (I was like what info and why? You already took my money and the balance shows $0). I knew my bank wasn’t the issue. None of the agent’s facts were lining up and she was contradicting her story in an attempt to hide what’s really going on. TARGET EXECS HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY CARDHOLDERS AND OWN THIS CRISIS. A public statement needs to be issued!!

Unable to login today 7/2. Super annoyed since I quit shopping Target when they bent the knee but a book I preordered a long long time ago finally shipped and the charge came through. Turns out I had to reset my password. Generally when websites have upgraded they send out an email telling you that you need to do that. FU Target.

I went to log in to see what options are now available since they took away the alerts to tell you your bills not paid. It said my log in was invalid. It keeps telling me I don’t exist when I try doing a forget password option. If I try the forget username, same thing. It gave me a number to call and I tried. I selected keypad options and the system said it didn’t recognize the options I was pressing. I tried a different number option and it finally went through. 55 minute wait time. I hung up. I’m not doing this today.

Why can't I pay my benefits bill online anymore???

Posted by i-really-like-sharks · in r/Target · 3 years ago

I really hope someone tells me I'm wrong about this, because I feel like I'm losing my mind. I was on an educational LOA until they got rid of it (ugh) and demoted me to "on demand." I'm not sure if it's a website change or a change that happened because of my change in status, but I can no longer pay my health insurance bill (or even VIEW IT and find out when it's due!!!) online. Instead, the mailed me a bill and said that I have to mail in a paper check??? Are they serious?? Who even has paper checks these days. Has anyone else had this issue? Am I not seeing something obvious? Can I just brave the high wait times and call them and pay it? I see literally zero information on the pay and benefits site on how to pay. I'm so frustrated -_-

Looking at the app. I got a temporary card loaded it pending a permanent card but under the cash control I see that’s where you can choose to move money add money etc. However I only see the direct deposit that will include the account number and routing number for a direct deposit. Are you using those numbers for cc to pull from ?
