Understanding the Campaign Structure
To complete all missions in "Destiny 2: The Final Shape," it's essential to understand the campaign structure. The main track consists of campaigns from previous expansions, such as Forsaken, Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, Witch Queen, and Lightfall, leading up to The Final Shape [1:2]. Each campaign is designed to be accessible to new players, so you can jump right into The Final Shape without needing to complete earlier expansions
[1:5].
Mission Completion Strategy
Completing every mission in Destiny 2 can seem daunting due to the sheer volume of content. While it's possible to aim for a "clean" mission log, some quests, particularly those related to Crucible or raids, may remain incomplete if not actively pursued [2:1]
[2:2]. Focus on completing the campaign quests first, as they are the core of the game's narrative
[3:1]
[3:2].
Endgame Content and Community Support
After completing the main campaign, engaging with endgame content like raids and nightfall dungeons can enhance your experience. Joining a clan or community can provide valuable support, as experienced players can guide you through complex missions and help you learn the ropes [4:1]
[4:2]. Many players have found success by connecting with others who share their goals and interests.
Recommended Play Order and Tips
For those starting fresh or returning after a break, following a recommended play order can be beneficial. Begin with New Light quests to unlock subclasses, then progress through the expansions in chronological order: Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, Witch Queen, Lightfall, and finally, The Final Shape [5:3]. Utilizing resources like guides and community forums can also help navigate the vast world of Destiny 2
[5:1].
By focusing on these strategies and leveraging community support, you'll be well-equipped to tackle all missions in Destiny 2: The Final Shape.
I'm not a noob but I did lose a very advanced character a few years ago..I've purchased the new addition and am not worried either way, I plan on getting back to where I was, etc and don't mind if I have to wait to enjoy its newest features..thx for any help, it's much appreciatedāš¼š
Absolutely not, each campaign is designed to be playable by brand new players. Storywise... Well that's another matter.
Man I'm so lost, I got on to play this morning to "freshen up," before TFS came out, without my old character that was had covered much ground the maps/shit to do is just INSANELY MASSIVE, I don't have a clue where to begin, etc...does it matter? There's just SO many types of missions etc spread out all over the galaxy, and I feel like I've forgotten more than I remember too, any advice for me, I know it's generic what I've given you to work with but maybe that makes your answer easierš¤·š»āāļø I just want a kind of direction to go in, follow some sort of "track" I assume that makes more sense than jumping from dlc to dlc each mission etc??? Any advice would be helpful, didn't really wanna post again about this and. You seemed quite knowledgeable about the game and in general, thx for any help you can offer, it's much appreciated...also I'd like to find a clan, is there any way to find one that's any different than others, I'd just like to find some good/nice people probably not try- hards, I don't know if casual is the right word but maybe that's exactly what it isš¤·š»āāļø thx Again
The only real track is the campaigns, which is the first Timeline mission (if you didn't play in Forsaken), Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, Witch Queen, Beyond Light, Final Shape. It's not perfect because there's 4 seasons between each of those expacs which are connective tissue that get removed every expansion and just get summarized at the start of each expac. Everything else is largely or entirely story agnostic.
On the bright side the removal of all the Lightfall seasonal stuff will cut down in the confusion somewhat.
Right, ok cool thx a lot
Please read the TWID regarding the final shape. It's got a TON of information you need
Ty muchš
So I've got a backlog of about 50+ missions at the moment, which is leaving very little room for daily bounties. I'm working on them over time, but I wanted to know if it's possible for there to be an empty mission list through completing them. Furthermore, my own curiosity has me wondering if it's possible to complete "every" mission, having everything completed and no other available missions (aside from ones they add, events, iron banner and the like.) It's something to strive towards, you know?

Apologies if this has already been asked and answered. I tried checking myself but couldn't find anything about it.
Yes, this game can be played daily - for hours but the missions are actually a small part of the game.
Oh definitely, I'm not worried about running out of things to do. There are so many different ways to play the game, and just daily missions alone can be fun. I'm just wondering if it's possible to aim towards a "clean" mission log.
You'd always have at least the chalice in there
That's fine, I figured there would be a few quests that would still sort of sit there. What about aside from them?
I've got about 10 quests still in my queue. Most of those either deal with crucible or the raid(s) in some form. So they will probly just sit there until I get around to getting up and finding a clan to join and run them with.
What exactly needs to be done to complete this in the Journey tab (and get plus two load outs?)
I cleared āIconoclasm,ā do I need to do some extra stuff after that?
You need to complete the campaign quest. After iconoclasm it'll ask you to do the Excision mission then speak to ghost to finish the quest.
Thanks!
Hey Everyone! M/EST
I'm new to Destiny 2 and just ran through the four DLC's (Forsaken, Beyond Light, Witch Queen, Lightfall) I'm now getting towards the end of The Final Shape. I don't know much about the end game of Destiny 2 as I've never done a raid or a nightfall dungeon. Just curious if there's anyone 18+ that could show me around or maybe take me on some runs so I can learn! Only thing I'm doing right now is the Nether quest in The Last CIty and that's been hella fun!
Anyways, thanks for reading, hope to hear from you!
Send me a DM and Iāll send you a clan invite and discord link and we can get you through some endgame things if you like!
Hello Iām on the EST! Hit me up, my clans always running raids and weāre all more than happy to teach, my discords junaper_jazz if you wanna add me

Campaign order is in the timeline, and if ypuve done them already or dont have them, do the final shape.
You can progress the subclass quests (stoking the flame and the other one, idk which one you have) during the campaigns
Free campaign order
New light quests
Shadowkeep
Beyond light
If you bought any additional ones:
Witch Queen
Lightfall
Final shape
Episode echoes
Revenant
Heresy.
Also everything is free this week until July 15th
Wdym? Are the expansions already released not free permanently?
I would do the quests labeled New Light. I think the third icon on the left side is the New Light tab. They will help you unlock all of the light subclasses.
OK, thank you for telling me this
New light quest and beyond light (beyond light on Europa is now accessible for everyone)
Get the free armor from Right of the Nine chest that's level 2020 gear. That will bring you up to light level for everything quickly.
I did the campaigns in order, only skipping Witch Queen to do Lightfall and The Final Shape for reasons I shall not say.
Google everything.
Eyes Up Guardian!
Have fun!
Touch grass often!
I've been thinking about picking up Destiny 2 now that the last expansion/rework has been released, but am hesitant to do so as most guides are out of date. For those who have completed it post-update, or prior and can gauge the trophies, is there anything that will be prohibitively difficult to achieve at this late stage? I got 100% on the first one, and am no stranger to grinds, but I don't want to start only to end up not finishing it.
The only difficult thing is grandmaster nightfalls wich are easy with veteran players (find 2) the game is 100% possible to plat
If you got 100% D1 and therefore have completed a flawless raid, youāre definitely skilled enough to do the plat bottleneck (GM nightfall as others said).
It's just a grind at this point. It will take you a while to reach a high enough light level to even do a GM which is defiantly the hardest trophy. You'll also need to find 2 other people kind enough to basically carry you because it's unlikely you'll develop enough of a game knowledge or have good enough gear to solo it. I started a new account and did the Platinum again last year just to see what it was like again and with thousands of hours of game knowledge it still took me around 80 hours to Platinum because there's just a lot of RNG involved. So if you're starting with zero game knowledge it will be pretty hard to find guides good enough to get you through. But you can do it if you're patient enough. The problem with Destiny is you can make a ton of mistakes in the beginning of the game that prolong what you're trying to do if you don't know how to do it.
Do the reaper IFF last. If you do it you will have 1-2 missions before shit hits the fan in a forced mission.
Do Tali's and Legion's after the Reaper IFF mission, and go straight to the suicide mission. You get some unique dialog if you bring Legion on Tali's mission.
I would start with Garrus or Thane.
Talis one is the best. Garrus is great, if you like Garrus.
I really like the missions, don't get me wrong. And I understand there are more chapters, but those cost more money. I was expecting some seasonal content or something extra to do after the campaign, or a new open world area. Is it really 8 Missions and a raid for 50$?
There's more stuff after the raids been beaten which includes the final mission to the campain. There's multiple exotics as well as the whole of the pale heart to explore and im sure timegated stuff on top of that. Plus weapons and such. The season starts Tuesday echos which ties up loose ends of the light dark saga and starts whatevers comeing next in motion.
No there's no dungoen as we don't get a raid and dungoen at the same time.
Wait, so do we have to complete the raid ourselves to finish the campaign?
No the raid is story linked but isn't require for the final mission. The mission unlocked after the world first team beat it and can be found in the top right hand corner of the pale heart next to.the raid
Ah, I see. I thought the raid was the end of it. Thanks!
I like how you say itās 8 missions⦠you beat 7 of the main campaign then thereās a whole slew of extra stuff to do like rescuing the ghosts Micah and getting Microcosm, doing, the Ergo Sum quests, the Still hunt mission. And by the way the seasonal stuff comes out next reset⦠god itās been a dayā¦. I shouldnāt let this stuff get to me but damn this feels almost like bait.
Itās literally the same as every expansion. New playable world and patrol zones, 3 exotic missions so far, lots of interesting āside questsā that are good quality imo. Overall in terms of Destiny expansions this one has been pretty good
I didn't know there were exotic missions. Are there public events and patrols and stuff in the pale heart?
Yeah thereās an event called overthrow in every zone, basically small public events leading up to a larger boss fight. Pretty fun first couple times at the very least.
And yeah so far thereās 3 exotic missions, you get them all after progressing the campaign
It's just like literally every other DLC. A campaign, a raid, and a patrol area. There should be a lot more to do in there. I'm sure it will all unfold as we progress. There will probably be something like wellspring or vex offensive or something like that. And we already have an exotic quest if you finished the campaign, along with the pathfinder stuff for the pale heart.
It will be worth the money if you like the game. It's pretty damn good so far.
I was kind of hoping they'd have two patrol zones like forsaken, but that's probably asking too much.
It is. They had two full studios working on that DLC. There will never be another one like that.
If thereās a dungeon youāll probably have to buy a key right
No matter how hard i try i cant beat this mission. Once I get to the poison I always die because I can't output enough damage before I run out of orbs to shoot. I tried different load outs, tried running it with friends, nothing seems to work. It really sucks because I can't progress from here. Is there a specific load out I should be using?
LFG with some decent players even if they arent you're friends. You'll get it done
Yeah, no need to solo. The triumph for Legendary and the Legendary campaign rewards don't care about solo/fireteam.
If OP is having trouble finding the darkness orbs to protect themselves, adding in more people isnāt gonna help unless they communicate āhey, an orb is over hereā
the orbs you use respawn close to when the timer ends. They donāt have a 1 time use
what class are you on
Warlock strand. The orbs dont come back for me. Edit: nevermind they do respawn, they just take a bit.
when did it I stayed to one side and only cycled a few orbs. I used the prismatic turret shenanigans + the call + dragons breath
if youāre on strand warlock try necrotic grips with thorn, indebted kindness & a rocket/GL
I'm having to solo this mission because nobody wants to not rage quit and just be patient
...the orbs respawn after some time, no?
They do, after about 1 min
I beat it everyone. Thank you all for advice and builds. Pretty sure it took me over 100 tries, but atleast I get to enjoy the pale heart now.
Are there missions out there that Iām just not thinking of? I have done everything that I can think off. The only thing I havenāt done are the circle of slaughters if those count towards this
Iām thinking the circle of slaughter and those types do count towards number of missions
Check each individual area of the galaxy, too, to help narrow it down.
Did you do the claplist mission found by echo in Tarazan ruins? The game debugging one? If not that unlocks the last claplist dance baby
I donāt think so! I will take a look
