TL;DR
Mining Emerald Ore
Emerald ore is primarily found in mountain biomes, known as Extreme Hills in older versions of Minecraft. These ores are rare and appear between y-levels 3 and 31 [4:2]. Many players have reported finding emeralds on the sides of cliffs or high up in mountains
[2:1]. While mining for emeralds directly can be challenging due to their rarity, exploring these specific biomes increases your chances significantly.
Trading with Villagers
Trading is one of the most efficient ways to acquire emeralds. Villagers offer trades where you can exchange various items for emeralds. Farmers, for instance, will trade crops like carrots, wheat, and potatoes for emeralds [4:1]
[4:3]. Building large crop farms can facilitate this process, allowing you to gather a substantial number of emeralds over time. Additionally, clerics might trade rotten flesh for emeralds, providing another option for obtaining them
[4:3].
Using Seed Maps and Apps
While there are apps and websites like Chunk Base that help locate structures and ore clusters, emeralds are not typically included due to their unique spawning mechanics [3]. However, players can use seeds that are known to have good resources, including emeralds, such as the seed "10532435" which has been recommended for its abundance of ores
[2:2].
Alternative Strategies
Some players attempt to start villages by curing zombie villagers, which can eventually lead to trading opportunities [5:3]. This strategy requires patience but can be rewarding in terms of establishing a consistent source of trades. While emerald tools and armor are not available in vanilla Minecraft, emeralds remain valuable for trading purposes and decorative blocks
[5:5].
I am playing on Better on Bedrock and have a relatively new world that I play on Realms with my adult kids. What have y’all found to be the best way to mine emeralds, since they do not show up on a Seed Map. We have been trading with Goblins and Villagers, but that is slow at best.

W find
I found some my first time that were on the side of a cliffside of a mountain and it wasn't too high up most people find them up high in mountains
I know there are things like chunk base that finds structures in your seed, and websites that can find ore clusters in a world, but I can’t find one that does the same for emeralds. If you know of any lmk.

I’ve been playing on and off for a year now. I’ve never bothered with villages and trading because they all want emeralds for things I can obtain on my own.
The thing, I’ve never encountered emeralds anywhere in the game. Not while mining, not on the surface, I seriously mean they are absolutely nowhere to be found. They’re worse than diamonds (I’ve posted several times about those too, and I guess I’m just monumentally unlucky with those too).
So, with the Wandering Trader outside my front door, where do I get some emeralds? I play on Ipad, so I guess that’s Bedrock Edition if that helps.
Villagers will trade emeralds for other things. IIRC Farmers have a wheat for Emeralds trade; i.e. you give the farmer wheat he gives you emeralds. Emerald ore can also be found in the lower layers (y=3 to y=15ish) of Mountain/Extreme Hills biomes.
Emerald Ore is only found in the Extreme Hills biome. The easiest way to get Emeralds is to sell items to villagers. For example, a Farmer might buy 26 carrots for 1 emerald and a Cleric might buy 32 rotten flesh for 1 emerald.
You trade regular crap to regular villagers for emeralds. Then you'll have emeralds to trade with the wandering trader.
You can find them (rarely) mining in extreme hills/mountains biomes. And you can trade stuff to villagers for them.
I typically build big crop farms and trade carrots, wheat, and potatoes to farmers for emeralds.
I have a lot of both. I’ll try it.
The Z coordinate was too far (5000+ blocks ahead to my base). so i just gave up after that.
Before talking about the emeralds, sort your inventory out, sword first pickaxe and axe shovel etc, that's a mess you got going on
yeah its been complicated in my inventory 🫠
Sorry but why are you carrying around all these doors especially in a cave😭
It's kinda sad that we cant still make emerald tools and armor, etc.(Vanilla Minecraft)
Yeah. I’ve been looking for a zombie villager to try to start a village to get more emeralds. Sadly there’s none available where I am at
Edit: (to cure the villagers obviously)
damn bro died trying to get the most useless blocks sob
this was the first time I saw an emerald block in survival so I had to get that bag but sadly died
The funny part is. There was a cave 200 blocks (X coordinate) and it had one block of emerald.
this made me laugh, thanks
no problem!
Lmao 😂
Guys how can i find emeralds fast?
I’ve only found one so far this whole time 🤪
Which floor did you find it
No idea I’ve been on auto mining for the most part 😅
I found only 1 and it was in magma in last world
Havent found anymore since...
No one seems to know… I’ve heard word of gem crates but I don’t know what the deal is with those
Help
Trading with villagers. If you get into some of the mechanics of villager trading you can make a lot of stacks
Can you explain the mechanics please I process things easily
Harvest lots of wheat, carrots, potatoes, melons and pumpkins. Find Farmer Villagers and trade with them for emeralds. There are lots of other villager jobs which you can trade with, but I find the farmers are the easiest
Villages are different now cuz its got a popularity in the village where completing raids, trading, and curing villagers makes you more popular. It also has an economy where if you trade a ton of something, like melons, melons arent as valuable to the villagers after a while. It can be made even cheaper and easier using some easy redstone stuff
Villagers
The best ways to get emeralds are through villager trades and pillager raids, but you can also find them when mining in highland biomes.
All over the walls of this moutain werea about +-10 blocks of emeralds, i tought it was rare. Also my pickaxe have fortune III so it was fun getting them lol
thats a lot of emeralds

the only guides i can find are for previous versions such as finding them on floating islands, i've checked both a desert and grassland cave, are they in the frost biome caves?
To my experience:
Sometimes on the sides of floating islands.
Within Lost Island caves.
Rarely in random encounters (chests, supplydrops, llamas, butterflies) on Lost Isles
VERY rarely given by a Resource Scavenger Villager on the Lost Isles specifically (may require a high enough village that they look for rare resources)
Cut versions are commonly given out by Gem Cutter villagers.
On the sides of the floating islands. I got some yesterday
Aren't they also still in the Lost Isles caves?
The caves in the Lost Isles have more than just the little grotto you first enter into. Look up and find a ledge. Make your way to it and most likely you’ll find an entrance into a whole new cave system that will be filled with gold and emeralds.
Absolutely. Almost all the caves in the Isles have them right there to your left on the structure by the chest.
i don't see any floating islands anywhere though, only in the lost isles version i find them. but i'm in oddysey with the storm circles/zones and sorts
Your floating islands are in the Lost Isle biome where Klombo lives with the Banana & Tomato people. Once you find your first bus stop, the Lost Isles and Star Wars islands should appear in it. Use the bus to travel to either. Once you're gliding down from bus, you should spot another bus stop. Now you have a return back. The emeralds are founds in Lost Isle caves/grottos and on the floating islands out in the open. If they're not in the bus stop menu, you may have created your island before the big updates and explored it all enough to where these don't spawn, so you'll need to start a new world in order to see them. You can also get lots of emeralds and other gems from recycling enemy weapons.
Yes
In the lost island caves. Usually like 30-40 per cave.
They can be found in the Lost Isles either on the floating islands, in caves or as chest loot from caves or structures in the Lost Isles. It's easy to get to if you've discovered a battle bus station already since it'll be marked even if you haven't discovered it yet
/give @p Minecraft:emerald 64
Mining the fuck out of the craft
pillagers raids are pretty good
Villager Trading
Selling wheat, carrot , and other farm stuf to farmer villages is a good way to get emeralds
How to find emeralds in minecraft
Here are some key considerations for finding emeralds in Minecraft:
Location: Emeralds are primarily found in the Mountain biome and its variants (e.g., mountain, gravelly mountain, and wooded mountain). They can also be found in hills.
Y-Level: Emerald ore generates between Y-levels 4 and 31, with the highest concentration around Y-level 11. It's best to mine at this level to maximize your chances.
Mining Technique: Use an iron pickaxe or better to mine emerald ore. If you mine it with a stone pickaxe or lower, the ore will break without dropping anything.
Fortune Enchantment: If you have a pickaxe with the Fortune enchantment, it increases the drop rate of emeralds when you mine emerald ore. Fortune III is the best option for maximizing drops.
Villager Trading: You can also acquire emeralds through trading with villagers. Farmers, librarians, and toolsmiths often offer emeralds in exchange for various goods.
Exploration: Look for villages in mountain biomes, as they often have villagers who can trade emeralds. Additionally, exploring mineshafts or caves in mountainous areas can lead to emerald ore.
Recommendation: To efficiently find emeralds, start by exploring mountain biomes, mine at Y-level 11, and consider setting up a trading post with villagers to supplement your emerald collection. Happy mining!
