How to Find Nuclear Reactor Blueprints in Subnautica

TL;DR

  • Look for nuclear reactor fragments in the Jellyshroom Caves, Blood Kelp Trench, Sea Treader's Path, and near large wrecks.

Key Locations for Fragments

Several users have identified specific locations where you can find nuclear reactor fragments. The Jellyshroom Caves are a well-known spot for finding these parts [2][4:2]. Additionally, the Blood Kelp Trench is another area where players have successfully found nuclear reactor fragments [2:2][2:3]. The Sea Treader's Path also has fragments around a tower-like wreckage, although it comes with the risk of encountering hostile creatures like warpers [1:1].

Wrecks and Biomes

The game features several wrecks that contain nuclear reactor fragments. One user mentioned a wreck located 300-500 meters deep around the island with the alien laser turret [2:1]. Another user suggested looking at wrecks above the entrance to the Lost River in the Blood Kelp Trench [2:2]. Furthermore, large wrecks in the Sparse Reef, Dunes, and Mountain biome are potential sites for finding these fragments [4:1].

Tips and Precautions

While exploring these areas, it's important to be cautious of aggressive creatures such as warpers and reapers. However, some users have noted that reapers are relatively docile compared to other leviathans, so maintaining a safe distance should keep you out of harm's way [4:1]. Exploring these biomes thoroughly and using tools like the Mineral Detector can help locate fragments more efficiently [5:4].

By focusing your search on these key areas and being mindful of the creatures inhabiting them, you should be able to gather enough nuclear reactor fragments to complete your blueprint and power your base effectively.

I want to build a base in the deep grand reef and I want nuclear energy but for the love of God are the fragments hard to find. Where do I have to search?

the degasi seabase in the jellyshroom caves, the entrance that is right at the edge of the grassy plateaus, and the kelp forest will lead directly to it.

I think there’s some fragments around a particularly tower like wreckage in the Sea Treader’s Path. Be careful of warping fuckbastards though.

There's a wreck above the entrance to the lost river in the blood kelp trench, you may have to search around a bit but you should be able to see it without actually going into the trench. Also, this area kinda intersects into the dunes but I've never seen a reaper near there so don't be concerned about that

The blood kelp zone to the west should have some. It's next to grand or sparse reef. There is a wreck there about 300m down in a chasm that has fragments. Be careful as warpers are nearby

There are a couple of wrecks that have them. I think there's a wreck 300-500M deep around the island that has the alien lazer turret, and maybe also in that biome that has the weird blue ball things that are tied to the sea floor.

I could be wrong though. But there is definitely a deep wreck somewhere that should have more than enough to complete the blueprint. I would begin my search around the island. (not the floating island.. The other one)

[No spoiler] Can't find modification station blueprints

Posted by howaboutsomegwent · in r/subnautica · 5 years ago

I've been playing for AGES. I have investigated all of the radio signals I have received, I have built a full cyclops, i have built the prawn suit, i've found the lost river.... but I can't get very far in my exploration because I haven't found a single piece of the modification station, so I can't get the good oxygen tank. I'm playing on PS4, so I can't cheat. Where have you found yours? Has anyone struggled with this? I feel like I've already checked all of the large wrecks that I've seen people mention.

Look for Ozzy from the cafeteria (pod #17 IIRC). Then look around - there will be a huge wreck nearby. There are usually plenty mod station fragments inside.

It probably will be in a wreck. Have you checked the wreck in the mushroom forest which is in the opposite direction of aurora? It should be high up between the mushrooms.

Try the large wrecks in the sparse reef, dunes, and mountain biome(where the big gun is). Don’t worry about reapers when it comes to dunes and mountain wrecks, just keep your distance from them and they won’t harm you. I find that the reapers in comparison to all the other aggressive leviathans in the series are the most docile. If you don’t know where those biomes are, the sparse reef is about the direction where the floating island is, but a bit to the right I would say. If you see a biome that looks like the dunes in that direction, then that’s the sparse reef. If you look around there, you’ll find the wreck. Officer’s keen lifepod is also around there. For the dunes wreck, I have an almost direct path which avoids most reapers. Go to the northwest mushroom forest and when you reach the end of the biome that leads right into the blood kelp, don’t go in there and instead go into the dunes. If you search around a bit in there, you’ll find it. For the mountain wreck, go to where the moonpool is and go down following the sea floor. If you go down enough, you should be able to see it. The reaper may seem like it’ll attack you and your form of transportation, but if you keep your distance and use a bit of a detour route to get there by going around, the reaper won’t get you. Hope I could help.

Cant find laser cutter blueprints anywhere?

Posted by Dokki-babe · in r/Subnautica_Below_Zero · 4 years ago

I wont say anything about the story but I've gotten to a point where I need the laser cutter to progress (I've done pretty much every single other thing I can do), but I still don't have the blueprints. I went the the arctic reef to search in the sea monkey nests (the one with the place you have to go for the story) and I found 1 total. Ive looked in a grand total of at least 30 sea monkey nests throughout the game and no matter what cannot find the blueprint anywhere. My friend who played the early access said there were some scattered around the broken ship parts, but I have searched those diligently and only found metal scrap. Anyone else have this issue and know where to find them? Thanks!

I think my game might honestly be bugged becuase there are exactly three sea monkey nests in the cavern and only 2 of them had laser cutter fragments. Ive scowered every corner of the caverns for about half an hour now with my fragment scanner in hand and there is nothing.

They are in and around sea monkey nests. All of those kelp cave areas can have them lying on the ground as well as in the nests. Try swimming through the caves with the Mineral Detector on Fragments.

iive emptied all seamonkey nests

and there are none on the mercury II parts

they are all behind the doors that require a laser cutter (ik because i used an xray glitch which is a secret i dont want Unknown Worlds removing it)

Can't find reactors in blueprint

Posted by x_Skirata_x · in r/spaceengineers · 3 years ago

I spawned in a blueprint (Charger c70 refit, so a rather large ship) in creative mode, and I noticed that in its reactors it had a sizeable number of uranium ingots that I want to transfer to another project. However, I can't find the reactors.

I put them as visible on HUD but they didn't show up, so I tore through pretty much the entire ship and I can't find them. Before I started tearing the ship up, I tried to retrieve the uranium through one of the connecters, and that didn't work either.

What's happening here? And do those reactors even really exist?

It's really frustrating being able to see the ingots, but I can't get them.

Since you are in creative, you don't need to steal stuff ;) Press 'shift + f10' and spawn yourself as much uranium as you want.

Try this if you still want to find the reactors. Build an antenna on that ship or turn the existing one on. That should solve your visiual problem

Different blueprints are found in different biomes, so no biome is “best.”

Best way to find more blueprints? Put down a scanner room and tell it to search for fragments, wrecks, or databoxes.

If you go to the SW red grassy plains and continue going SW you should eventually see a big arch rock formation go through it and keep going a little further until you see the wreck, on your way back to your base go back through the arch and you should see a hole at the bottom of it, explore that hole, there is something that will be greatly useful to you in the future.

Blue prints sorted by tech

You can use the mod blueprint tweaks, and then you can just change any blueprint at the time of building it, to whatever you need, ie drop the sorters to mk2, change the belts to mk1, change the smelters from making iron ingots to copper, etc etc, it's very handy.

As for you request, probs best to look at them by "mass construction" level, 1,2,3,4,5 that is the research for size of the blueprints allowed to be used, but it's going to be roughly in the ballpark for the techs too, but not necessarily

Sort your blueprints

MK1/Factory Bus

Makes a book title MK1 for you if one doesn't already exist, slot all your blueprints in there. already have the blueprint made? Edit the file name to include the same MK1/ and it will relocate the file to the book.

Also, blueprints sort alphabetically by file name, so rename your files to sort them. Foundry 1-f 15 different smelter configurations sorted in the order I want.

Have you tried Dysonsphereblueprints.com you can search for blueprints based off mk level or your max BP research level. You can also get some for free from Nilaus on YouTube. Him and other YouTubers like him have Google drives with the long blueprint codes freely available. These options are rather safe as you aren't downloading the file instead your copying the blueprint code and pasting it in game.

My recommendations for Wubby (highly) regarding Subnautica

Posted by CapnClumsy · in r/PaymoneyWubby · 2 months ago

I'm making these in the hopes of keeping the Subnautica playthrough alive. That being said I'm also, trying to avoid spoilers and backseat gaming, while at the same time giving Wubby a level of assistance that I think he's looking for.

  1. I recommend downloading and installing the Map mod from nexus (there are spoilers for the different biomes in the mod photos, beware of that). It's a simple install. It gives you multiple maps that fill in when you discover an area and marks wrecks you've discovered on it (areas you've already been to and wrecks you've already discovered won't be colored in on the map until to go back to those respective areas).

  2. You might wanna make an air bladder they're useful early game. They can help you get to surface really fast, get away from predators/danger really fast, or give you and extra 15 seconds of air if you need it. It refills with air in oxygenated areas like the surface, a powered base, or a vehicle and it doesn't require batteries.

  3. Scanner rooms and beacons are your friends. I recommend making them and putting them in new areas you discover. If you feel like you're not getting enough value out of a scanner room outposts, you can just deconstruct it, take the materials, move to a more desirable location and rebuild. Beacons can be name while swimming next to them, you can put them almost anywhere. You can turn their appearance in your HUD on/off and change their color from your PDA.

  4. Wrecks and caves are gonna be your bread and butter. Need a new blueprint or titanium? Find a wreck. Need to find something else? Check new biomes and caves.

How to find nuclear reactor blueprints in subnautica

Key Considerations for Finding Nuclear Reactor Blueprints in Subnautica:

  1. Location: The Nuclear Reactor blueprint can be found in the Aurora, specifically in the Engine Room. Make sure to explore thoroughly, as the blueprints are often located in specific areas.

  2. Accessing the Aurora: To enter the Aurora, you will need to repair the radiation leak first. This requires a Radiation Suit and a Repair Tool. Once inside, be cautious of radiation and hostile creatures.

  3. Scanning for Blueprints: Use your scanner to scan the Nuclear Reactor fragments. You will need to find a total of three fragments to unlock the blueprint.

  4. Exploration Tips:

    • Bring a flashlight or a headlamp to navigate dark areas.
    • Keep an eye on your oxygen levels; consider bringing extra oxygen tanks.
    • Be prepared for potential hazards, including fire and hostile fauna.
  5. Crafting the Reactor: Once you have the blueprint, you can craft the Nuclear Reactor at the Habitat Builder. Ensure you have the necessary materials, such as Lead and Titanium.

Recommendation: Focus on exploring the Aurora early in the game, as obtaining the Nuclear Reactor blueprint will significantly enhance your power capabilities. Just remember to manage your resources and health while navigating the wreck.
