When it comes to choosing the best e-bike for someone who is 6'8", particularly from the brand Specialized, there are several considerations and recommendations that can help guide your decision. Here’s a breakdown of insights gathered from various discussions:
Fit and Frame Size
For taller riders, finding an e-bike with the appropriate frame size is crucial for comfort and safety. Many standard bike shops do not stock frames larger than 61cm, which may not be sufficient for someone who is 6'8" [2:1]. While some tall riders have found success with bikes like the Trek Emonda in larger sizes (up to 64cm)
[2:12], others suggest that even these might not be comfortable enough for someone over 6'5"
[2:3].
Specialized E-Bike Options
Specialized offers the Turbo Vado series, which has been recommended by a 6'4" rider who found the XXL size to be very comfortable [5:6]. However, given your height, you might still want to consider other options specifically designed for very tall riders.
Alternative Brands for Tall Riders
For exceptionally tall individuals, brands like DirtySixer offer custom-built bikes that cater to heights up to 7'5" [2:7]. Although they are not cheap and may currently be out of stock, they are worth considering if you prioritize comfort and fit. Additionally, Canyon's XXL models are suggested as potentially suitable for someone of your height
[2:5].
Customization and Adjustments
If you find a bike that is close to your size but not perfect, customization can be an option. This includes adjusting the seat post height, saddle position, or adding a longer stem [2:9]. However, some users advise against trying to modify an XL frame to fit a much taller person, suggesting that a purpose-built bike would perform better
[3:4].
Practical Considerations
Given the limited availability of large frames, it's advisable to contact bike shops in advance to inquire about their inventory or the possibility of ordering a specific size for testing [2:1],
[2:10]. It is also important to consider the stack height of the bike, as some brands like Canyon may not be suitable for riders with long legs
[2:4].
Conclusion
Finding the right e-bike for a tall rider requires some research and possibly trying out different models. While the Radrunner series may not be ideal for someone who is 6'8" due to its small wheels and upright posture [1:5], options like the DirtySixer and Canyon's XXL models could be more accommodating
[2:7],
[2:11]. Customization of existing models may also be an option, but it is generally recommended to start with a frame that fits well to avoid discomfort

Is it really worth it to pay $600 more for the VIP pass? Or is GA enough? 😅 First time going to Coachella. 😊
I’ve done VIP, GA, and had artists passes.
I was almost exclusively in the Sonora this year, and still thought VIP was worth it. This sub thinks it’s not. If you are an introvert and need space, want no lines at all for bathrooms or food, and need a table to sit down at to recharge your social battery and tired legs, then yes VIP is worth it.
If you don’t want or need any of those things above, and need to be barricade at every stage, then VIP may not be worth it. The price is steep but I personally couldn’t attend Coachella any other way.
The real VIP are artists or guest passes though.
How do you get artist pass?
Either pay for safari to get guest passes or know someone that works in the industry.
My friend use to work for an A list music artist who visits Coachella every year.
You can get barricade with GA?
Sure.
Artist / guest pass is the real VIP but starts at 2k+ if you can find it from the right person
How do you find these ppl!! I need
I'd do VIP for the food and the food alone. 🤷♀️
Not at full price though
It’s not worth it unless you have some sort of physical situation where you need to sit a lot and/or take breaks. At least not for $600.
I went VIP last year. Honestly I wouldn't say its worth it. Now if you can get VIP for little to no extra money, I'd say go for it, but Coachella VIP isn't that impressive compared to other big festivals VIP.
I know I’ve seen a lot of people say VIP isn’t truly worth the price hike compared to GA…and obviously I read on their site what VIP entails, but since this will be our first time at Coachella, I figured I’d ask more experienced people what VIP ACTUALLY gets us.
I’m 29, a very large human being, recently had carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand, and have had right knee surgery because of sports in my HS and college years, so my body kind of shits itself after so many hours of straight walking.
Also, even though I’ve lived in the southern heat for the last 4+ years, I’m born and raised from the northeast, so the heat still irritates me after so long…all that being said, we’ve been to probably 20+ music festivals over the past couple of years so I’m getting a bit more used to it.
Anyway — all that being said, I read that VIP for Coachella is more for the older audience that needs better bathrooms, more shaded areas to relax, and for people that like better food and drink options, all of which certainly fit our criteria.
But like I said, figured I’d ask people who have gone and experienced both GA and VIP at Coachella for their opinions on what we’ll ACTUALLY be getting with VIP…thanks!
EDIT: Dumb question, but like I previously said, we’ve been to a ton of music festivals recently and some differ in this aspect…can we leave and comeback during the day to freshen up/take a break? We rebooked an Air BNB that’s VERY close to the venue, so it wouldn’t take long at all to do so, thank you all!
I had VIP last year and it was not worth it at all. There isnt better anything except for maybe the entrance which was never crowded and had lax security. The VIP areas themselves are far from the stages and have nothing that you couldn't find in GA.
Agreed. Nothing about it feels special or exclusive. Other beer gardens have similar food and enough space to chill.
Spend ya dollars elsewhere.
They’ve said they’re expanding vip this year so no one really knows yet what that fully entails. I went GA last year, going VIP this year.
I tried it from 2016 to 2019. It's pretty much GA+. You get your own separate premium food and drinks area with smaller lines than Indio Marketplace and nice bathrooms but no special viewing area. It was great at the time but now the regular GA food is as expensive as it was when I was doing VIP pre inflation years.
Depends what “worth it” means to you.
If AC bathrooms, more personal space, places to sit and chill in the shade are important to you then yes.
If you want to be up close to then stage, then no.
GA has had AC bathrooms for years too… just not everyone knows about them 😅
I didn’t see it last year
Last year they were closed off w1 at least
Please send me a dm & bless me & my group with this info sir/ma’am 🙏🏼
Super worth it imo. Faster entrance into the festival, shorter lines and better options for food and drinks, shorter lines for the bathroom, and more space to hang. Time is money and you will save time with VIP.
This is my first year going to Coachella ever and despite being a group for the festival the amount of negativity in here is wild. So for others in my shoes:
VIP - is worth it. It’s been amazing. You won’t be front row for stages. They don’t say you will be when you buy it. The short lines for everything are worth it and areas to relax. Also got into Yuma for Stussy in about 5 mins.
Shuttles- are great. Super easy.
Food- lots of options. Expensive as it would be in any theme park type situation.
Gaga - was incredible. Her mic didn’t work for 15 seconds and we moved on. It wasn’t a big deal at all.
People in here are wild 😂 it’s a well run massive event.
Most people who post negative things about Coachella (like the crowds) have never been to the fest. Wish we could ban those posters
It's people who didn't go. Lol I'm here I'm having a blast. Didn't do VIP I was super close for Gaga just stayed there after Missy
People who have negativity will want to express it and reddit is a very accessible platform to do so. Its important that we can set boundaries and keep sacred the spaces where we find enjoyment. Misery loves company.
Welcome to /r/Coachella!

Travelled from New Zealand to it last year, couldn’t get after party tickets. Does anyone know how to? Or has been and what were they like? Thanks!
Some will be available on DICE, most of the big ones are invite-only
Anyone know where the VIP entrance is? I do not see it on the map. Also, it seems like there’s a lot of confusion surrounding it and many people saying it’s a long walk. Is it actually worth finding? Thank you for any help.
Yellow path there is a VIP path midway through with separate VIP security checkpoints. They were aggressive day 3 but relax 1 and 2 FYI.
It's on the top left of the map, it says VIP Access. It's worth finding imo
If you are getting the shuttle turn left instead of right and its about the same distance on the yellow path as GA, then you walk down a road to the scan/security screening. You get to walk past the backstage artists compound, small glimpses through the gates.
If getting off an Uber/rider share its on the yellow path on your right about halfway between drop off and GA.
If camping I'd go through GA and then navigate around to VIP. Note, last weekend I went through GA and then had to go get my ID checked to get into VIP/get an over 21 wristband. If you go in through the VIP entrance there's an ID check right after security. So be aware if you go through GA first.
VIP tickets sold out in less than ten minutes, this is crazy. I'm guessing most VIPs from last year elected to renew theirs so that was a very limited quantity for the rest. End of the day, priority is one of the perks for VIP so can't complain too much.
I'm starting to think it's the same issue they had last year, and they're going to release VIP in a couple of weeks. Last year, VIP wasn't released until the beginning of May after tickets started selling already.
Last year sold out immediately like this day 1 but youre saying lastyear mega released vip tix a month or so later?
Yes. Day of VIP tickets were only available for renewals. They did not release the VIP tickets until May. I know this because I had been let go from my job just a couple weeks before the general release of VIP tickets and couldn’t buy them then.
Let's hope for the opportunity to come again for VIP. It was Brutal this year waiting for Celebrity Guest Lines as well as their panels. Spent most of my convention experience waiting in line. I know its Megacon, but hopefully one day I can get VIP.
I was in at 11:02am and it already said sold out. So it seems that only returning VIPs from now on will have tickets and no one new.
Was super quick to get through the queue, had VIP in my cart. Had to enter a whole bunch of info and payment as fast as possible. After I click on submit, the error pop out. Wanted to cry, so close. Other cons VIP stays up for a bit, wish we have the chance to get VIP in the future.
Ridiculous. Really great that the same people get to go year after year. One day a convention will figure out how to give more people the same opportunity. But hey, what does MegaCon actually care?
Releasing VIP info after tickets are sold is what I would call a jerk move. I read they used to be a Comic Con, until it was purchased by the FanExpo company recently. Which means they won't care as much about comic creators, and but you'll see more celebrities! Shame, for what I heard was a great comic con, we'll see.
But if they want to play games about letting people know who's gonna be there?
Poor form. I'll spend my money where I know people will be, and I can plan ahead to not get gouged for a hotel, waiting for info from the con.
Theyve been underfanexpo fot a long time, and con nvr dissapoints ... and guest list is always fantastic
Lol they were gone in less than 3 ... by the time i clicked cofirm payment it error'd me
It's one of the most popular music festivals in the world in California.... why are you expecting it to be cheap? Festivals aren't cheap to begin with ya know what this is stupid you're just being bitter
Worth it, 100%. On Day 1 this year I saw JPEGMAFIA, Kero Kero Bonito, Rosalia, King Princess, BLACKPINK, Kacey Musgraves, Anderson Paak., Janelle Monae, the 1975 and Childish Gambino. If I wanted to see all of these acts individually I'd be paying well over $429 after fees (and it'd likely require a bit of travel and time off since not all of them hit every city.) And the value goes through the roof if you're desperate to see them on the rail since most venues would force you to pay a premium to get a front row spot/seat. The ticket is still expensive as fuck, but if you can afford it's an incredible deal.
Please don’t post your stupid polls here. Thanks.
The problem with everyone complaining about overpriced festival tickets is the fact that they simply aren't. The price is reflection of the larger and larger crowd that shows up every year (mostly as more and more mainstream people join the festival wagon). If they reduced the price there would be even MORE people.
Also a side note as someone who lived in the Coachella valley: locals get significantly cheaper tickets which means everyone else has to pay more to account for it.
Can someone explain how to get to the VIP entrance from where the shuttle drop off is?
You walk out of the shuttle area and turn left and it’s right rhere. There are signs it’s super easy to follow.
NGL that shit was not easy first day VIP lol. Didn’t see any signs from the shuttle area and walked 3/4 of the way to the GA entrance before I turned around and asked someone how to get there 😬
Yeah last year Friday they were so disorganized some people sent me walking down Avenue 50 all the way to the artist entrance, then we got sent back to where the VIP entrance was, but on the festival side of 50 where the actual Polo Field sign and gate is. Sat there for 30 minutes before someone saw us and explained that the VIP security was actually further up the path and we had to go backtrack all the way up yellow.
This changed last year. You weren’t able to walk down Ave 50 as you were in pre-Covid years. Last year you had to walk to the back of the shuttle lot and over (essentially crossing over the fence separating shuttle lot from the parking crowd). It was ridiculous. Hoping they allow access from the front of the shuttle lot this year but not really counting on it.
the GA entrance is pretty quick when i've gone... not a big deal to just walk in that way also and then walk to the VIP section if you want to go straight there.
You kinda turn around and go to the back of the lot where the shuttles drop off, then cross over to the VIP entrance which is like the dotted yellow line on the map. It’s relatively close, but counterintuitive backtracking.
I'm still confused 😅 From the map, it looks like you head in the same direction as the main entrance, and you come up to the VIP entrance first. Would you mind doing a little doodle on the map to demonstrate what you mean?
Was wondering this, too! Glad you asked! 🙏
Omg ty!
Thank you!
Can Ubers drop off in the hotel shuttle area? Were staying close and not shuttling.
Does corella sell food
nope actually really convenient since they set up a little station somewhere near the venue in case you have last minute issues with the wristband you bought
use the search bar...sheesh
There is plenty of information about StubHub if you use the search bar but no, it is not "sus".
No.
No, it's the safest way aside from directly from Festival Ticketing.
Do VIP tickets increase in price or sell out? Worried about getting stuck if for some reason I have to bail but don't want to pay aftermarket prices
Can you upgrade to VIP from GA?
VIP is already running low. So must grab soon.
I bought two
Same! I bought two like a months ago 😎
Ill Points resale market is one of the hardest I have come across when it sells out. I couldn’t find anything one year, randomly was miracled a wristband for my gf at the time wandering around.
I would recommend buying now. I’m not into the lineup so far…until the Despachio was announced. I could just dance in there for 10 straight hours and be perfectly happy
just purchase on layaway, you can cancel your ticket (before the final payment) if you change your mind!
Ugh this is my dilemma. Loved last years line up, so I bought GA last min, but this year I really want to do VIP. Trying to wait it out a bit longer but obvi not too long
How to get VIP tickets to coachella
Key Considerations for Getting VIP Tickets to Coachella:
Ticket Sales Dates: Keep an eye on the official Coachella website for announcements regarding ticket sale dates. VIP tickets often sell out quickly, so being ready when sales open is crucial.
Registration: Make sure to register for a Coachella account ahead of time. This will streamline the purchasing process when tickets go on sale.
Presale Access: Consider signing up for the Coachella newsletter or following their social media for potential presale access or exclusive offers.
Payment Method: Have a reliable payment method ready, as tickets are often sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Using a credit card with a high limit can help in case of unexpected fees.
Secondary Market: If you miss out on the initial sale, check reputable secondary ticket marketplaces like StubHub or SeatGeek. Be cautious of prices and ensure the site offers buyer protection.
VIP Packages: Look for VIP packages that may include additional perks like exclusive lounges, better viewing areas, and complimentary amenities. These can be more expensive but enhance the overall experience.
Recommendation: Act quickly during the ticket sales, and consider setting reminders for when they go live. If you’re serious about attending, be prepared to spend more on VIP tickets, as they can range significantly in price, often starting around $1,000 or more, depending on the package and availability.
