This is the whole point!!!
Spoken like a true American should speak. We're glad you're back, Mr. Kimmel.
Meanwhile, Trump is having another wild-eyed tantrum and says he's suing ABC for letting Kimmel come back. LOL
Jimmy did such a good job! He stood for us today.
r/conservative not even pretending that they support free speech at this point
The most heavily censored subreddit is anti-free speech? Color me shocked.
No no you see, it was about ratings /s

From the description:
Pulitzer Prize-winning author and “The New Yorker” editor David Remnick reacts to the words of FCC chairman Brendan Carr, who said “we can do this the easy way or the hard way” in comments aimed at ABC regarding Jimmy Kimmel. His documentary, “The New Yorker at 100,” will premiere on Netflix on December 5th.
And trump’s using it as a blueprint for the US
Dear god where are Trey Parker and Matt Stone
This is the single greatest reason to do another Team America movie.
Damn, if only Manolo could sing his way out of this one...
MU seems cool, cool TN
"So what if I'm the weirdo?"
Would also be a good track name
This Life do be Epic
Kimmel was cancelled because he was a far right groyper
Right wingers found their first verifiable left wing killer and can’t let him go
It's still not actually verified. Those text messages don't prove anything (not to mention they're suspicious as hell). There's still more evidence that he's conservative, just a different faction of the movement.
Proof or shut da fuck up.
Naw don’t need proof, it’s Reddit we can just say shit and get it to the front page - like whene everyone claimed Tyler Robinson was a groyper or like when Kimmel implied the shooter was maga
constantly telling the crowd to shut up
was the best part
Let me correct you on that. Kimmel is not cancelled. Its basically on a continuous pause, because Nexstar and Sinclair media companies refuse to let it air on their local ABC channels they own, because of Kimmel's comments about Charlie Kirk's murder, and will only restore it after Kimmel does a real apology and ABC News makes sure it doesn't happen again. Nexstar and Sinclair did the right things there1
Long may his “pause” last.
Well, if he wants his millions, so he can continue to hypocritize. Then he better apologize. Honestly, I hope he doesn’t but I’m sure he will. And they will probably accept just about anything that he says.
He’s reinstated and he didn’t have to issue a bullshit apology or give money to a pac
But will Nexstar and Sinclair allow him on their local ABC networks they own? ABC can't tell what the local networks what they have to air from them.
I lol at that Castrati whenever he's on.
This right here needs more upvotes!!!
Buh-bye Jimmy! A man who immediately forgot from where he came. He used to be on “Ben stein‘s money”. And they were good friends, but I doubt he would even acknowledge Ben Stein now.
Bring back Craig Ferguson
I'm not too worried about Kimmel, he will go off by himself and have a good cry. Oh wait, he may need a camera to cry in front of.
You mean maybe a tequila bender with Guillermo?
Went to my first ever play this past Saturday. Let me tell ya, I’m a theater kid. I saw American Psycho the Musical.
I fuckin love theater. I loved sitting in the front row and seeing everyone’s faces and the way the light hits the actors eyes make them seem so alive. I love how cheesy it can be and how it expects you to use your own imagination to fill in the blanks.
It’s so much different than a movie. It’s so much more alive and tangible. I’m super impressed by the singing and how much stamina they have. It’s crazy how they memorize all those lines and keep going for almost 3 hours with no noticeable mistakes. I love how the actors and actresses come back as different characters. I love how they move the stage around to become different scenes. I love how it feels so incredibly human. There’s no crazy VFX, it’s cheesy(camp?), it is oozing in personality and charm.
I’m a theater boy. I feel like my $100 ticket was well worth the price of admission.
Hoping to see the revival at the Almeida Theatre in London (the theatre where it made its world premiere)
That was the one with Matt Smith I think? I couldn’t find too much reviews for the previous one other than it got canceled early.
Yeah. I’m kinda hoping that the actor playing Patrick Bateman in the new production is the person who play Tim Price in that original 2013 production, a then unknown Jonathan Bailey.
It was well received in London (I was living in London at the time, and getting tickets was tricky, I never managed it!) by the time it transferred to NYC I had also moved back here but then it opened and closed so fast I still never got a chance to see it.
As you continue through your exciting journey of theater education, I just want to gently point out that a Broadway show is technically one that is currently playing in one of 41 theaters on Broadway in NYC. It sounds like you saw a regional production, and I think it’s really important to highlight regional work, and not just meld them in under a generic “broadway” header! Share the theater name, give them their flowers!
Was this the production in Houston? I saw some clips online, and it looked really good.
Yes.
Nice! My friend from college directed it! Will let him know. I really enjoyed the show on Broadway. Should have had a longer life!
Glad you’ve discovered the magic of theater!
i love seeing this musical get it’s flowers. i went alone to see it on broadway, front row, for my 16th birthday. i was shocked that all the people sitting around me were theater critics and other professionals, because the show had already planned to close early (a week or two after my show) by that point.
i mention sitting front row because i see you did too, i’ve seen a few shows up close but nothing compared to the experience of this show! benjamin walker as patrick bateman spent a ton of time on the front of the stage in the second act. if i’m not mistaken he did his big unraveling monologue while sitting on the apron because he injured his foot, so he was staring into the eyes of the people sitting directly in front of him. this huge half-naked sweaty man covered in fake blood had us in a TRANCE.
i’m really curious about the changes that have been made, particularly to the 2nd act. i’ve heard it’s less “horror”, would you say it was a hard tonal shift or was it gradual?
it was chilling in a way that just can’t be described to people who haven’t seen the show! i hope you enjoyed, long live american psycho the musical!!
The second act was horror in that Bateman’s world is collapsing into being surrounded by people he can’t stand and it feels wrong for him but the killing happened late in the first act and early in the second.
"No there's nothing remotely ironic. About our love of. Manolo Blahnik."
ooh. uhh. uhn. huh. uhhh. ohh. ohhhn. uhhn. ooh uhh uhnn huh ooh huh whuh hhuh uhh!
In my opinion, I can see Circe be played by Ariana Grande or Sabrina Carpenter because bith of them are Broadway trained and I want to hear them sing her parts because they would sound beautiful.
What about yours?
Hugh Jackman as Odysseus
Leslie Odom Jr. as Eurylochus
Ralph Fiennes as Poseidon
Chris Pine as Hermes
Ariana Grande as Aphrodite
Ryan Gosling as Apollo
Meryl Streep as Hera
I will not explain any of these, so don't ask
No explanation needed. Agreed
Maggie Smith would have been an amazing Hera or Anticlea. RIP Queen 😭
I can't picture anyone other than Tayla singing for Circe. Same with Odysseus.
no i dont want ari or sabrina as circe at all lol
Chris Pratt as Ody, Polyphomys, Poliets, Hepatheuas, Zeus, Poisdion, Apollo, and Hermes. Jack black as Aphrodite and Ares. Micheal Kovach for Hera and everyone else, and Sabarina Carpenter is peonelpe

A few months ago, I helped organize a karaoke night for EPIC: The Musical.
We thought maybe 20 people would show up. Instead, 100+ fans came a lot in cosplay and something wild happened
We sang the entire musical saga, in order. From The Horse and the Infant… all the way to Would You Fall in Love With Me Again. Every cut song. Every duet. Every scream. Together.
Here’s what it turned into Someone slayed Polyphemus like it was a boss battle Full cosplay: Circe, Athena, Odysseus all in character Fans screamed lyrics, cried during “Open Arms,” and hugged strangers
We had photo booths themed to each arc
People stayed after the show just to talk about what the music meant to them
No sponsors. No brands. Just fans giving each other a stage.
Now we’re doing it again.
📍 Hamilton, Ontario 📅 Sept 28 🎤 Open mic. Cosplay friendly. 🌍 Free virtual livestream for anyone who can’t attend in person
If you’ve ever belted these songs in your room like they were written for you… you’ll fit right in.
🎟️ Here’s the event link if you’re curious
Or ask me anything I’ll tell you everything!
This is such a great idea! I don't know this show specifically but it sounds like a lot of fun.
Yesssss
I’d totally attend if it was a different musical lol
I mean, it’s pretty teen appropriate already. The Odyssey, which is far more brutal and mature, is read in a lot of high schools as a part of the curriculum.
Hold Them Down and Odysseus would like be gone since it’s themes and mentions or rape and intense violence
When the prince wonders where his cake is, only his mother & I will know
Odysseus would be him showing up to the birthday party
Nah.
They’d change the lyrics to a more clean version. For Hold Them Down they’d probably cut to the “Here and now there’s a chance for action” part after the “stop us from taking her love and more” bit.
Either that or change the whole “hold her down” part to make it seem like they are killing her too, and say in Odysseus kill his wife as well.
For Odysseus they’d change it to “court” rather than “rape”.
Instead of "when's your tramp of mother gonna choose a new mother..." Antinous is going to say, "Telemachus? More like Tele-piss!" /j
You plotted to kill my son
You planned to bother my wife
😭😭 thats funny
“All of you, are going to perish”
From a frequent teen production actor, it’s crazy what productions take out (Legally blonde jr is the worst case of this).
