TL;DR Omni-Man is generally considered stronger and more experienced than Mark Grayson, although Mark's power increases over time. In terms of raw strength, Omni-Man is often rated higher, but Mark closes the gap as he gains experience and faces tougher opponents.
Strength and Physical Feats
Omni-Man is depicted as having superior strength compared to Mark Grayson. For instance, Omni-Man can lift multiple times with one hand, demonstrating elite Viltrumite strength [4:1]. Mark, on the other hand, lifted an iceberg weighing approximately 100,000 tons, which is considered average Viltrumite strength
[4:1]. This suggests that while Mark is strong, Omni-Man's feats are typically more impressive.
Combat Experience and Skill
One significant advantage Omni-Man has over Mark is his combat experience and brutality. Even when Mark achieves similar levels of speed, strength, and endurance, he lacks Nolan's combat experience, which affects the outcomes of their battles [3:3]. Mark's lack of experience means he struggles against opponents like Battle Beast, who would likely defeat him despite Mark's enhanced powers
[3:2].
Speed and Reaction Time
There is debate about Omni-Man's speed, particularly in combat versus travel scenarios. While some argue that Omni-Man has faster-than-light (FTL) travel speed, others note inconsistencies in his ability to react at such speeds during combat [2:1]
[2:5]. Mark's speed is similarly questioned, as he sometimes struggles with slower opponents
[2:2].
Progression and Growth
Mark Grayson's power level increases significantly over time, especially by season 3. He defeats Conquest, a character argued to be stronger than Omni-Man, suggesting that Mark's strength and capabilities have grown considerably [5:1]
[5:6]. However, opinions vary on whether Mark surpasses Omni-Man entirely, with some estimating Mark's strength closer to an "8.5" compared to Nolan's "10"
[5:8].
Conclusion
Overall, Omni-Man remains a formidable opponent due to his superior strength, experience, and combat skills. Mark Grayson, while powerful, continues to develop his abilities and narrows the gap between himself and his father as he faces increasingly challenging adversaries.
Omniman is invited to a 1 vs ALL event tournament style.
Omniman must abide by tournament rules and cannot cause too much collateral like destroying the stage or spectators or he's disqualified and counts as a loss.
All combatants are not allowed to leave the arena or fly above it more than 100m or they lose.
He's put in a sizable arena (1km squared) with every single playable cast member (And unplayable bosses- Azazel ect.) from each game's mainline history pitted against him at the same time.
Round 1: The entire cast over the course of each game's mainline history at their strongest. This also means every single Jack model- ect.
Round 2: Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske (Guilty Gear) join in.
Round 3: Same as round 2 but he's supported by Season 3 Mark Grayson also known as: *Title card*
Gill solos: Omni-Man has only physical damage output so he literally can't get the kill here and Gill wins by attrition. Gōki and Oro probably solo: Gōki simply flaring his ki has a similar effect to the orbital cannon that knocked Nolan down, so a direct punch hurts a lot more, and he can turn himself into pure ki (Ashura Senkū) to once again exploit Nolan's lack of non-physical damage.
Street Fighter has hax. Tekken is mostly just stats, though honestly even in that regard Angel Jin and True Devil Kazuya probably do have the direct stats to compete with Omni-Man 1v1 as well. Not as sure on that front, but if the two are working together then they definitely do.
So a series of 1v1s is already a pretty hopeless fight for Omni-Man. One vs all is pointless overkill.
Small question, what about the speed gap? given how Omni-man has ftl feats
Not arguing against you(I agree with you) just curious how that problem is taken care of
Omni-Man is absolutely not FTL in combat; travel speed isn't combat speed. I'm not even quite sure his reflexes let him reliably bullet-time, to be honest. He can certainly fly at supersonic speeds in atmosphere and doesn't take too long to accelerate up to that, but how often does he actually react to attacks at that sort of speed?
Tekken has Heihachi bullet-timing about as explicitly as possible, and Jin and Kazuya keep up with him even in their base forms; they utterly wreck him post-transformation. Tekken high-tiers are probably generally faster in combat than Nolan, frankly.
Street Fighter doesn't have quite that level of explicit speed feats, which is why I mainly listed the characters with massive nigh-undodgeable AoEs as the main competitors; Gōki doesn't have to aim to tag Nolan if he just nukes the whole area, and Gill has a similar attack. Still not a guaranteed win from either of them, admittedly, but that was just proving that they have good chances even in 1v1s, and a sequence of 1v1s would easily tire him out for the win. Against all of them at once, his speed's practically irrelevant if his opponents throw nukes around (which Gill, Gōki, and Kazuya totally would because none of those three really give any shits about collateral damage to their allies).

Metromi... man vs the great nolan
1 strength/power: in terms of strength metroman ranges anywhere from city to at best multi continental. both meats coming mostly from the sunray that uses the energy of the sun that ir produces that gets to multi continental like i said
but the blast itself was only city level in dc. also i'd say metroman is closer to island/country ranges in terms of scaling that multi continental but that can also be used. and in terms of lifting strength he lifted a machine that was holding a big chunk of the city
omniman on the other hand scales massively higher. even show omniman scales above season 3 invincible who no sold a multi continental+ level nuke as well as redirecting a texas sized asteroid that gets to around moon ranges.
and comic omniman has consistent small planetary to even large planetary scaling due to scaling to characters such as the tick kicking the moon at mars or tech jacket throwing a massive ship at the sun at high speeds both getting to the ranges of power
overall omniman is far stronger in terms of strength and power
2 durability/stamina/endurance: durability is the same as ap and strength. he can tank hits from characters as strong or stronger than him. his endurance is better being able to survive with etreme wounds and fight with them
and in terms of stamina he can fly without air in space for weeks without getting tired. and while yes metroman could have survived the death ray. omniman scales above tech jacket who survived planet destroying weapons which scale massively above the sun ray
3 speed/agility: No metroman did not stop time and this feat is no way near as good as y'all think. Yes it is fast but how fast exactly. Metroman was able to completely blitz megaminds perception which would at BEST get to 100k times ftl but being honest it really closer to 1000+ times ftl more than anything
on the other hand omniman can travel at millions to even trillions of times faster than light and yes that scale to his reactions preception and maybe even combat speed due to allen being able to react to the speeds he is flying at and space racer who can track viltrimites mid travel couldn't track battle beast and thragg fighting on thraxa
soo while metroman might seem more impressive in reality omniman has far more consistent speed scaling and combat speed even
4 iq/biq: omniman has far better feats in this category he literally wrote books and won awards on the viltrimite empire. as well as he knows how to use his opponents weaknesses and has pretty good hands while metroman has no showing of either really
5 experience: omniman is 2000 years old
6 weapons/tech: neither really unless you include that trinket from megamind rules but that show might not even be canon
7 size and weight: doesn't matter really
8 hax/abilities: metroman abilities are super speed laser vision flight and being able to see through walls
while omniman can also fly but his main ability are the smart atoms that can adapt in the middle fo combat making them more resiliant to damage as well as making them stronger.
metroman has better base abilities but omniman has better hax with smart atom adaptation
9 feats/statements: metroman only good feat comes from being stated to be able to tank the sun ray and his speed feat which i already stated higher
on the other hand omniman scales above the tick and tech jacket with planetary feats and he himself together with 2 other people destroyed planet viltrum which is bigger than earth and has 1.25 times its gravity
and while yes space racer gun did help they still were punching and going through the planet somewhat and them and the ring survived the explosion soo they should semi scale to it at least.
omniman can also damage eos thragg with a headbutt a thragg who is stronger than the one who could one shot omniman before. and while thragg is still far stronger than emperor omniman he still scales to him semi.
omniman easily takes feats and statements hadily
10 cosmology: invincible has a multiverse but he doesn't scale to it anyway
11 most consistent scaling/metas the most consistent meta for metroman is city/island level with ftl+/mftl speeds and at best mftl+ and multi continental with high ends
omniman has consistent small to large planetary scaling and mftl+ speeds and you can get him to solar system ranges which lowkey are more consistent that metroman multi continental scaling and speed goes from billions to trillions
12 debunks metroman has 0 proof of scaling to the space shuttle he was send to earth to and megamind being able to see it is a gag and shouldn't be taken seriously. and we also don't know how long it took and how far was the planet from earth
metroman didin't stop time obviously bruh. megamind turning the ocean into jelly is an offscreen feat and might be a chain reaction and at best woul just give metroman more consistent multi con scaling which doesn't matter in this fight
13 rebunks omniman taking damage from war woman and immortal doesn't make him mountain leve lmao that just upscales them. and in the comics they literally can barely do anything to a weak omniman who is no way near as strong as his eos version.
omniman not being able to tag cecil is show only and he literally doesn't go full speed to not to dedstroy the planet.
yes their speed is not just travel via allen space racer statements and even reaction feats on screen soo these mftl+ speeds scale to their combat reactions regardles.
14 overall tier/Winner and diff:
metroman: city/island with multi con wank. with ftl+ to mftl+ speeds
omniman: small to large planetary with solar system level wank. with also mftl+ speeds which are anywhere from millions to trillions
omniman no low diffs and even show omniman wins with his moon/small planetary scaling which is far too high for metroman to deal with
15 note: before you write reasons that say metroman beats omniman maybe next time don't downplay omniman with out of context feats with no proof and actually scale both fairly like i did.
i gave metroman his comic scaling and out of movie statements but he still loses.
in the end omniman stomps metroman and y'all gotta realize that metroman ain't all that
>on the other hand omniman can travel at millions to even trillions of times faster than light and yes that scale to his reactions preception and maybe even combat speed due to allen being able to react to the speeds he is flying at and space racer who can track viltrimites mid travel couldn't track battle beast and thragg fighting on thraxa
I'm just gonna say it right now, there is nobody in the invincible verse capable of replicating the speed feet that Metroman did and Omniman's travel speed is, as has been stated, laughably inconsistent
>Omniman's travel speed is, as has been stated, laughably inconsistent
Yeah, Invincible has virtually no power-consistency. Marc can struggle against giant earthworms in one scene and then against a planet-busting super-viltrumite in the next, as if those two would be on the same level.
Omniman is sooo fast - except when he has to move around a slow green monster with a flower for a mouth...
Problem with the large planetary scaling.
The TJ comics where that happens was released after nolan's death.
So either a single viltrumite should of been able to nuke viltrum, viltrum is large large, or its practically a retcon.
In reality its #3. It would be like if batman decks a mind controled superman with a hook with no injuries. And then bane in a batman comic after in the same "run" watches bruce break his own fist from a punch. Either Bane durability > Superman Durability or batman got weaker. Or its just strange writing choices that leads to inconsistancy.
And image crossover scaling is just as bad as the "Spiderman defeats glactus" stories.
Everything else is pretty much right. Nolan does win cause MM doesn't have much.
>omniman can travel at millions to even trillions of times faster than light
Takes 15mins to fly towards mark
Literally every ON SCREEN feat debunks that statement
Except the ones where he’s literally flying to other galaxies and fighting people who do the same thing
Just that we see mm actually doing Something at that Speed and omni man is shown to be vaaaaaastly slower during Combat. Travel == Combat and Nolan doesnt even Speedblitz people without enhanced Speed or senses
Literally just off screen transportation. Prove that the galaxies are actually millions of light years away in invincible verse?
2 Inconsistent and unprovable feat is the only way fodder man can win.
Thank you, people have been spreading this “Omni man has shit combat speed” lie forever
I’m convinced people just don’t like Omni man
people downplay invncible badly these days
like people still think the verse is like multi continental only like HOW
also love how they use outdated databooks to debunk their speed
It’s hilarious because those data books confirm that their reaction time is on par with their travel speed and that they can go MFTL
i dont get why people say 'flightspeed isnt the same as combat speed' argument when 90% of the fights have characters bullrush each other
I like Omni man but his feats in invincible are just really inconsistent. Logically an ftl plus omniman shouldn't even be touched by the reanimen and should have grabbed Cecil the first time he tried even with teleportation. That and well below ftl level speed opponents are able to react to Mark and invincible when invincible is at marks power.
Mean while metro man has no anti feats.
Mark has the exact same speed, strength, and endurance as Omni-Man does when he first gets them. He does not have Nolan's combat experience or brutality. Which of his major fights change the most? We'll be looking at the comics version here
He probably wins all those major fights except Battle Beast and, of course, Omni-Man. Battle Beast would just shred Mark even with that level of power and durability.
I love the way someone described Battle Beast facing Teen Team to me once. It was like the Penguin had hired Darkseid to fight the Teen Titans. The epitome of overkill.
Assuming Battle Beast is as strong as he is meant to be in the comics, I think that's the only one where he doesn't stop off the bat and that's the one where he'll still get probably beat the shit out of, but maybe Battle Beast will at least enjoy that fight (though there's a real argument it also might mean Battle Beast will bother to take the time to kill him)
Other than that, I think he just does overall better with like, everything. There's no one whose stronger than Omni-Man during Season 1 who shows up beyond BB, and in the comics, I don't think anyone can beat Omni-Man in terms of raw power anyways until Conquest.
Allen gets immediately stomped. Battle Beast would actually consider Mark a worthy opponent and kill him instead of bailing because he's bored. Assuming that Mark survives, he still loses against his dad badly but it's closer this time. Comic spoilers: When he and Nolan fight the 3 Viltrumites they might actually beat them. Nolan could already handle 2 while Mark was getting beaten down and had to be saved. When he fights Conquest he should probably win and actually kill him this time. He obviously gets beaten by Thragg every time besides the last fight again.

Like what’s their best physical accomplishments who has the better one and by how much?
STRONG
Right now Mark's a 7 if his Dad's a 10 in terms of strength , like Mark lifted an iceberg from the water overhead and held it for a while ( Google says an iceberg like that must be a minimum of 100000 tons ) so that's roughly around average Viltrumite strength but Nolan's an elite and he lifted 3-4 times with single hand and in terms of striking strength because they can fly fast they can do immense levels of damage , yk force = mass × acceleration
Nolan could probably bust a Moon all by himself , also wait for season 4 , we will see one of the best displays of pure brute force.
Most importantly Mark isn't in his prime yet , he gets even stronger.
im so excited to see that display of force in show form its gonna be so damn good
Yep , they better not hold back on that
Probably even stronger than me
I am asking this, cuz we know Mark had got a LOT stronger in season 3.
And he also defeats conquest, who you could argue is stronger than Omni Man, so is he stronger?
If Nolan's a 10 then Mark's a 7 right now at full strength
At this point I'd call it closer to an 8.5 or so.
Yea, assuming Conquest is an 11
After his fight with conquest I'd say because this time he will push himself to his absolute maximum.
A few more big battles to be equivalent.
Don't answer this. Tryna to avoid any spoilers. But damn, is Nolan the best viltrumite?
I think conquest beats him more times than not...but a lot of people think Nolan is stronger
Yes
Darkblood states it in the post credit scene
10000% and idk why it’s a debate.
Not yet
Stronger than Mark Grayson? I haven’t read the comics but I’m trying to gauge the hierarchy of strength in the show, and there doesn’t seem to be much about Mark and his siblings as far as comparison. I know Invincible becomes pretty damn powerful, but where does his Thraxan half-brother stand?
Thraxans are too distantly related to make comparably powerful hybrids. Humans however make almost picture perfect replicas. So no his brother isn’t and can’t ever be as strong as Invincible.
He's weaker than Mark and pretty much every full blooded Viltrumite in the series. Thraxan hybrids aren't as suitable as Human ones due to the lower compatibility rate. He's able to hang with the weaker ones but that's about it.
!Ursaal kinda being the big exception!<
I’m probably finishing the series today, but are there any feats to support this?
No, his main skill is being able to pick up new things really quick
Except survival skills ☠️
No
Nolan had literally thousands of years of conditioning as a Viltrumite soldier and came to Earth not knowing anything about the people and was the strongest person on the planet by far and never accidentally killed someone or fucked up and got a city wiped off the map and managed to keep his true mission a secret for 20 years. He only killed the Guardians of the Globe and fought Mark because he felt he had no choice and knew another Viltrumite would come to finish the job if he didn't. He's a pureblooded Viltrumite and has the same kind of built in aggression as Mark and yet never once snapped and slaughtered his enemies or gave any sort of red flags in any sort of way, but Mark lost his temper repeatedly and got millions of people killed because he didn't take Dinosaurus seriously. Even when Omni-man was rag dolling Invincible around the planet to teach him a lesson he didn't wipe out an entire city like he easily could've. Maybe its just me but Omni-man is a better hero and only really got his ass kicked by Space Freddie Mercury😂
Mark is far and away the better of the two. Nolan is a great man, but he did let Rex Robot do what he did with 0 resistance. He was being a leader first, sure, but he let some heinous and dangerous precedents be set. Then there's the whole "Actually committing extreme warcrimes against sentient beings" thing. Nolan was thousands of years old, and Earth changes people, that's a given in the text. It's completely different to judge someone getting exposed to love and caring and the ways of Earth and how they change vs someone born on that same planet. Mark is an exceptional individual. Also, he was in his mid twenties when he fucked up. By his late twenties he repented and then some, saved the galaxy from Thragg with his maneuvering, and then by series end all but eliminated most wars and suffering as best as he could with the Viltrumite empire. He started this at like, 27. Nolan collaborated and contributed so much to the Viltrumite empire of slaughter and conquest that he alone was trusted with probably the most important mission for the species. He did his fair share of direct slaughter.

Meanwhile, Mark was actually trying to do good with Dinosaurus, and THAT only went bad when Mark was too sick to keep tabs on him. But he always took responsibility and did his best to be better and create actionable change. He's plenty flawed, but he's in his mid twenties at the time and has barely been a hero. Essentially, by Viltrumite standards he's a tiny fledgling. He matured extremely quickly, changed the Viltrumites into a force for extraordinary good, and saved the Galaxy multiple times over. Yeah, I think he's a better person than Nolan.
Also the viltrumites on earth already switched sides under Nolans leadership, he was the one who asked them to fight against Thragg in the final fight and they even said they considered earth their home
That doesn't contradict any points I made. Nolan was a great man by series end who redeemed himself and changed. Him setting the Viltrumites down the right path, or at least a better path, was incredible leadership. But Mark took that and ran with it and put the entire galaxy at peace to the point where they essentially didn't need space U.N. anymore. I'll respond more on your other comment.
By the end of the series I’ll give you that, but Nolan was very honest about his shortcomings and how he was wrong to continue with his mission despite his feelings for earth, Mark and Debbie. Let’s not forget that dinosaurus still completely leveled a city and killed thousands and even Eve was telling him it was a bad idea and he still went through with it. He got angry with Cecil for enabling murderers but no one under his watch killed innocents again and Mark still ignores all of the suffering Nolan caused. And left a pregnant eve behind to chase after a reformed Angstrom Levy. Nolan didn’t step in when Robot took over earth, but at that point he wasn’t really a hero anymore because he had to think about the empire like you said. Mark and Nolan both didn’t take the initiative to kill Thragg when he was imprisoned or before he started an army despite Allen’s pleading.
Mark is also extremely honest about his mistakes. Far more than Nolan. You phrased this as credit towards Nolan, somehow.. but despite his denial and conflict he DID still kill the Guardians. Some of them were his friends. And he killed them where they stood. He only just barely didnt kill Mark when he realized who he had truly become after his time on Earth. I don't praise him for that. I praise him for everything that came after. He truly redeemed himself. But even he admitted that it was Mark who changed him. You might disagree, but the man himself said it. He trusted Mark, knew Mark, more than anyone, could lead the Viltrumites to true greatness in the Universe because of who he is. Nolan admitted the Viltrumites culture still hadn't fully left him.
Now to your other points. Yes, Dinosaurus levelled a city, but Mark saw how right he was. How much good it did I'm the end. Mark had been struggling with hero work from very early on. Why put out fires day to day when there are systemic problems to fix? It's why he supported Eve immediately in her humanitarian efforts. It's why he was able to see the solution in helping Gravitator. He matured from black and white thinking after his struggles, grappled with the ends justifying the means after his initial Angstrom encounter. Faced hell from his parallel duplicates, from Conquest, etc. Angstrom says most Marks are tyrants. I fully understand why. He goes through so much pain and struggles. But the Mark we follow is such an amazing man to rise above it all. And HE is way more honest about his mistakes than Nolan ever was. Again, Nolan killed the Guardians while he was struggling with his changed mind, in denial. That's the opposite of honest.
You're putting all of Marks mistakes front and center and scaling them up unfairly. He was dumb to go after Angstrom. But he let Conquest live by not being thorough and it nearly killed him and his brother again. It makes sense he'd be scared of his powers. It's the third time he pops out of nowhere and inflicts grievous injuries to Mark and his loved ones. Angstrom is the only one who truly made it personal AGAINST Mark. Of course he'd be too rash and paranoid. But he gets called out on it, and does better. Once Reboot happens he's much more mature. We see Marks growth happen in realtime, mistakes and all. We mostly see Nolan's end cycle of development, where he's ending his struggle with who he became and turns towards not being a facist genocidal tool of fear. It's easy to accidentally judge them on the same metric when they really should be considered separately.
From a narrative standpoint, you could say Nolan is more compelling than Mark. Raised evil, turned good vs raised good, developed some more perspective on how things work.
But as virtuous characters? No, Mark is better, his mistakes can mostly be attributed to naivete.
I thought he did completely level at last a large chunk of Chicago and a few other areas humans inhabited when he was beating the absolute memes out of our boy.
Are you forgetting that during the fight between mark and his father, his father goes into a subway and slaughters hundreds of people by holding market his neck as he watches them get slaughtered
Nolan didn't just have "conditioning" he took part in the genocide of countless sentient beings.
###"You guys looking for this?" ###"Drop it, freak! Or we blow you away." ###"I wouldn't try that. I'm... Invincible.
#Respect Mark Grayson, otherwise known as Invincible
#Biography
Born on Earth as a half-human half-Viltrumite, Mark Grayson is the son of one of the most powerful being in the universe, Omni-Man. Yet for most of his life, he remained a normal boy, only able to wait in anticipation for the day his powers kicked in until one day, out of the blue, they did. Soon, he followed in his father's footsteps, donning a yellow, black and blue costume as the hero Invincible!
Yeah, a pretty short-sighted choice for a hero name.
Since acquiring his powers, Mark has gone through many death-defying adventures. Fighting other superheroes, aliens, traveling to different dimensions, encountering alternate versions of himself and even combating many members of his race, the world-conquering and bloodthirsty Viltrumites.
Ultimately, Mark was the catalyst for leading his people down a different path. Taking over as the ruler of his people, he reformed his people as a peaceful race. One that acts with compassion, and mercy. For under his rule, that is the Viltrumite way.

Great thread, love that alternate Mark's were included. Is this gonna have ones from other stuff too, like Dynamo 5, The Pact, Savage Dragon, etc.?
Will be working to include those appearances today! And I'm glad you enjoy the thread :)
Yeah, the alternate Marks really show how powerful he's gotten since then, and there's quite a few feats from his main run I didn't even remember!
he never loses a fight in the entire comic's run btw
Technically loses to Omni-Man in their fight and Anissa literally rapes him
loses to battle beast, loses to nolan, loses to anissa, him and eve and oliver losing to thragg,, he's lost a few times lol he just always comes back
>Is unharmed by a bomb that glasses Las Vegas^(#80)
Dinosaurus says it'd take "at least fifty" to level the city, right on the page - it wasn't just one bomb that did it, and I doubt Mark would be in the blast radius of all fifty.
On the other hand, given he's literally holding one of the bombs in his hands...that one, at least, he took at point-blank range, which is rather impressive.
Great thread Dull, this one needed an update for a while.
I just have one thing, the link for Mark tackling Conquest in the planet only has one scan when I'm pretty sure the feat goes on for a bit more and even shows off the damage.
>"My time here has been a speck in the span of my life. You don't know me. I will burn this planet down before I spend another minute living among these animals."
Known to the public as Omni-Man, Nolan is the most powerful hero on Earth. In truth, Omni-Man is from the planet Viltrum, a planet of super powered individuals that leads the greatest empire in the galaxy. Nolan was part of the war effort to conquer planets and bring them into the Viltrum Empire. He was chosen to go to Earth and weaken it in preparation to be brought into the Viltrum fold.
Despite meeting his wife, Debbie, and having a son, Nolan stayed loyal to the Viltrum Empire and murdered the Guardians of the Globe, the greatest heroes of Earth in preparation for the impending invasion.
#Physiology
Viltrumites are capable of flight, allowing them to generate leverage off of nothing.
Viltrumite blood is resistant to various methods of attack and their cells refuse to die.

After Invincible stopped a large meteor, Omni-Man called it small and claimed to have previously deflected one the size of Texas.
His clash with Immortal destroys a massive portion of the ground.
Flies through a cruise ship, slams Invincible into the sea floor, then flies back through the ship.
Striking
Headbutts Invincible through the ground and then bull rushes him into the subway system.

One of these weapons had the power to reduce a human to dust.
No sells an explosion that leaves no traces of human bodies.
Unharmed from an orbital cannon. A second hit at closer ranger gave him a nosebleed.

This is an excellent RT thread, and not just because of that header image and the Miscellaneous section. I will say I think there’s enough material in the show for a small intelligence/intuition section, and maybe consider the Flaxan planet rampage for Durability - given he seems to be no worse for wear after flying so fast that he begins glowing from the atmospheric drag and doesn’t seem to be injured by the city-level explosive collisions he causes.
Now just me nerding out: Viltrumite immortality deserves more attention, cause ‘aging slower the older you get’ seems to just spit in the face of entropy. I guess technically it’s not as crazy as the ‘frozen at age 30’ variant, but it still sounds crazy cool phrased like that.
I mean.. Mark will live for THOUSANDS of years. His body fucking spits in the face of general physics with power output, flight and space worthy biology. Also I guess it’s the equivalent of just deep sea diving to them if they bring some air?
I was curious so i did the math for its kinetic energy.
Width of texas: 1185.47km
Length of texas: 1173.23km
volume:8.54×10^8 km^3
mass: 2.8609e+21 kg (3,153,602,429,423,581,184 tons) (meteors/asteroids are made from chrondite which has a density between 3-3.7 grams per cubic centimeter. I used 3.35 as an average)
Velocity: 20km/s (Meteoroids moving through Earth's orbital space average about 20 km/s)
kinetic energy: 5.7218E+29 J (136.75 exatons of tnt) Thats enough energy to destroy the moon.
Edit: Its arguable how well this scales to his actual destructive power but he’s still need to at the very least cancel out its total kinetic energy.
Edit II: He would only need to match its kinetic energy, if forced it into a complete stop. Without seeing it, no way to tell if did. Entirely possible he only altered its trajectory to miss earth. Impressive regardless.
> Its arguable how well this scales to his actual destructive power but he’s still need to at the very least cancel out its total kinetic energy.
No he doesn't. Omni-Man only says he diverted it, not completely stopped it.
honestly, imo the most impressive part is his ability to withstand all of that energy and transfer it into the leverage he generated out of thin air.
It boggles my mind that there are some people who can watch a show and go "you know what, I'm gonna do the math on that."
I, on the other hand, am dumdum. Math make brain go boomboom.
Well, you already have him completely bypassing the Guardian's security in the Misc. feats, which I guess also includes him hijacking their emergency beacons to lure them to their HQ to begin with. That implies some non-trivial level of technology expertise.
Besides that though, I guess I was just thinking of Nolan's overall ability to figure out when people are on to him/infiltrate Earth for several years. But thinking on it, I can't identify any clippable moments. Ignore me - great job!
> 1v7s the Guardians of the Globe.
Jesus. Well, I guess that’s why I don’t watch these kinds of things. Seeing actual superheroes get their fucking skulls crushed is not my idea of a good time.
It’s a good feat, though.
I don't usually have a problem with it but I didn't have a great reaction watching that when I first did. I've seen/read injustice but that was next-level. Yeah the show has a lot of gore but that was definitely the goriest scene.
How different is he in the comics?
I don't know exactly as I am not familiar with the comics but here is comic version's RT.
The biggest single thing is probably him blowing up a planet with help. There are also things like the Guardians fight in the comics being him basically instantly killing them all rather than an actual fight.
IMO something in the title is more clear and visible (particularly on PC). Rule 7 also states that the version of the character should be specified in the title. Though if that is a relic of the past and needs to/should be changed it probably should be brought up in the Symposium.
This is a long ass list of Omni-Man's feats, from both comics and show, feel free to add anything or what not:
Omni-Man Feats of Strength:
Based on Death Battles Homelander vs Omni-Man, the Invincible Handbook Volume 2, and Trick Theory’s How Powerful Is Omni Man? (With Science) Season 1-2, plus feats from INVINCIBLE seasons 1, 2 and 3 I noticed while watching
- Radius: 646,570 meters
- Volume (Sphere): 1.14 * 10^18 M^3
- Density (chondrites): 3,700 KG/M^3
- Diameter: 1,293.14 KM
- Its mass would be 4,608,763,590,974,865,408 tons, which is moving at reentry speeds up to 11,200 M/s! It would hit with enough energy to destroy the moon twice over! And he said it CASUALLY like it was catching a nice fish! AGAIN, CASUALLY! He could, theoretically, stop a bigger asteroid.
- To add onto Viltrum's destruction, one, he wasn’t as powerful as he was by the end of the series, before he died. Second, he, along with Mark and Theadus, were weakened due to the fighting, and even then, they survived the explosion. Third, the planet had 1.25 times the gravity of the Earth, and also, space racers' gun DIDN’T DESTABILIZE THE CORE, it was already destabilized and what was mentioned by Theadus was purely baseless as he had no idea how the weapon worked, quite frankly, no one knew how space racer’s gun worked except Nolan, but even that wasn’t sufficient enough.

All of those feets, just to be a Goku victim
Um, ok? Thanks for stating the obvious, but we all know Mr. Beast solos
All this effort just for most people to either not notice or not read them
I respect the effort
Damn
I would put them into sections. Omni Man beating Bardock is just imo, especially if we use his high ends. I see some people want Omni Man vs Rose and I get the connections. I even watch Steven Universe at its peak but Omni Man vs Darth Vader would just be so much better.
