Foreshadowing and Thematic Continuation
A significant aspect of predicting future developments in "Miraculous Ladybug" involves analyzing past episodes for foreshadowing. Fans have noted that the show often lays groundwork for future plotlines, as seen with the parallels between earlier episodes and the Season 5 finale [5:1]. For instance, the episode "Illusion" featured elements that mirrored the final battle with Monarch, suggesting that similar narrative techniques might be used in Season 6.
Character Arcs and Development
Lila's character arc is one to watch in Season 6. Her ability to disguise herself, as shown in previous episodes, suggests she may continue to play a deceptive role, potentially stalking Marinette or other characters [5:1]. Additionally, her rivalry with Marinette, hinted at in the London special, could become a central conflict, leading to more direct confrontations between the two.
Role of Chat Noir
Chat Noir's role in the series has been a point of discussion among fans, with some noting his tendency to be sidelined during critical moments [5:3]
[5:4]. In Season 6, it will be interesting to see if this trend continues or if there will be a shift towards giving him more agency and involvement in major battles.
Narrative Themes
The show's use of redemption arcs and moral reasoning, such as Ladybug's attempts to reason with villains like Gabriel, is likely to continue [5:5]. This thematic element could play a significant role in how conflicts are resolved in Season 6, possibly leading to unexpected alliances or changes in character motivations.
Speculative Plot Developments
Given the show's history of integrating foreshadowing into its storytelling, viewers can expect Season 6 to build on existing plot threads while introducing new challenges and adversaries. The balance between maintaining consistency with established themes and exploring new narrative directions will be crucial in keeping the series engaging for its audience.
Duisburg and 1860 going up would be wonderful.
Nah

1860 looking good so far, about time the "second" team of Munich had some success. Union Berlin and St. Pauli have been a breath of fresh air, now time for these.

this is real and true lore as the chess club man is the godhead
I read this shit like the be movie script 😭
This is really random, but I’m just curious between who would win, I have my reasons but I wanna know what others would think
What does Daryl do in season 4 that’s that crazy if we’re adding characters prime I would prolly put season 9 Daryl since he one a fight against beta
Actually that makes a lot of sense. Either season 9 or 10 Daryl would be better, I was thinking season 4 Daryl because Daryl basically took out most of the governors army and destroyed a tank. But season 10 Daryl was stronger and had more combat
Early season 6 Carol or moody later season 6 Carol? This is important
Both are badass, early season 6 Carol took out all the wolves, moody Carol took out 3 separate different groups of saviors and actually locked one of these groups in a room to be burnt alive
Reapers lose
Depends on the battlefield?
At night in a forest, Reapers would win
I mean, yeah I agree with that last point. Just curious why OP thinks season 6 specifically is the reason it won't happen.
I feel like Doomsday was a good season. But people woulda appreciated it if it was an earlier season lile maybe S3 or something.
Rewatching the whole show right now and honestly it’s not as bad as I remember. I think the DDK murders/crime scenes themselves are excellent - some of them almost top the ITK murders.
But ITK worked better when we didn’t know who the killer was. The crime scenes were so much more intriguing when we had no idea who was responsible. Not only that, but the whole fight club ending is dumb. It’s still not the worst season tho
I honestly have no bad seasons. I get that people hate S8 because of how it ended but I think hate is a strong word. I also know Saxon wasn't developed well but I like him being pure evil and he was decent imo. S7 i really liked because of Sirko dude and S6 was really fun for me. The other 5 are all great too. I just can't complain much about this series at all man I am sooo in love with it. (NB ending was ass but hey theres good theres bad in everything lol)
I love that season, even though I had to suspend a little disbelief at Dex helping Travis. I guess that's Dex's unavoidable hubris tho that makes the show what it is.
I mean, fair and I agree the books wouldn't really work if adapted but that seemed obvious from the second half of season one onward. I'm just curious why OP said specifically season 6 is the reason it wouldn't work.
I loved season 6. Colin Hanks did a good job.
Religious themes appear pretty subtly in the show though in almost every season. There was just much more of it in season 6.
Why is this specific season the reason the novels can't be adapted?
I'm sure fans would hate that adaptation, yeah.
I guess I just don't see Season 6 as an adaptation of that, though? Because Season 6 didn't involve any of that. It involved a Christian with schizophrenia who delusionally believed he had to bring about the end of the world by killing people to create signs. (And it was counter-balanced by the witness of a mentally healthy Christian, Brother Sam.)
While religion was a topic in Season 6, nothing supernatural noticeably happened (except possibly Dexter's heart moving a bit with Brother Sam). The show kept its treatment of religion purely mundane, never bringing actual God (or actual demons) into the picture. Which is actually unusual for serial television of that time period; it used to be common for even non-supernatural shows, like House MD, to include a few episodes that hinted to the possibility of supernatural things being real. And those were always well received. They just played it in a way where the level of mystery left things feeling possible, just like how it often is in real life. Dexter didn't even go with the 'divine mysteries are possible' angle, it just Scooby Doo'd it and caught the guy with schizophrenia. A boring plot, and not a supernatural plot. So I think people disliked it for other reasons, like being boring. So I don't agree that the reception to Season 6 has anything to do with why they didn't imitate the books; they'd already not been imitating the books for years, and Season 6 wasn't imitating the books either.
Also, that book plot always sounded so dumb to me, lol. Really, the author picked Moloch as the demon to associate with Dexter? Moloch is infamous for child sacrifice, and Dexter is extremely protective of children.
No. It's because the doomsday killer book very much personified the Dark Passenger. These two entities are literally enemies since the dawn of existence.
Ok but that doesn’t explain why season 6 of the tv show prevents adaptations? Your only argument is that book 3 wouldn’t translate in your opinion to the show. Your argument against book 3 has nothing to do with season 6
I was rewatching Season 5 and I realised the clues for how the finale would play out were right under our noses the entire time.
The parallels between the final fight with The Collector in "Illusion" and the S5 finale when Gabriel makes the wish are uncanny, and almost certainly intentional:
a) Chat Noir being immobilised - Adrien being locked away in isolation
b) Ladybug reasoning with The Collector ("Reject the akuma. I'm sure your son loves you and will forgive you.") - Maribug trying to reason with Gabriel for Adrien's sake
c) Gabriel falling down into the sewers - Gabriel sacrificing himself
This makes me wonder, the foreshadowing for Season 6's finale could be revealed in the upcoming episodes in a similar way. Maybe those are the hidden clues the writers hinted at? The ones that are hidden in plain sight throughout the current season. Curious to know what you think!
The finale fight was also foreshadowed in the episode of season 4 Gabriel Agreste with the fairytale of Marc and Nathaniel ! ^^
Oh geez, I think you're right
Chat noir being useless happens every episode lmao
yeah but even if we didn't consider Chat Noir being immobilised, with the other two parallels, it's hard not to connect the whole scene to the S5 finale given how similar the two are
Cat Noir being sidelined is common and isn’t just in the Collector and the final battle. In’s in a lot of the episodes. But overall yeah, when I went back for a rewatch, I noticed quite a bit of foreshadowing in the show.
I can't believe shitty redemption fanfic Gabriel wrote for himself became canon.
Well they even foreshadowed lila’s arc in episode chameleon
Where lila get akumatized to chameleon and transformed to any person she kissed (just like in s6 she is putting a disguise to stalk marinette or any other character ) Also ladybug saying that she will discover who really is chameleon and lila said that she will discover her identity first (which is similar to the end of London special where lila said lets see who finds out who first)
My personal opinion: I think we’ll end on a cliffhanger after Lila does a public broadcast throughout all of Paris revealing the fact that Ladybug had lied to Paris, and that Monarch was actually Gabriel Agreste.
I think she'll only reveal that Ladybug knows who Monarch is, but not actually reveal his identity. Then it'll be everybody in the Miraculers knowing she should tell them but she won't. Betrayal and distrust.
I wonder how long it'll take for the mods to delete this post too, since they seem to delete posts for random reasons even when they aren't breaking the rules.
If she doesn't reveal his identity (with proof) how can Lila prove Ladybug was lying. If she just says "Ladybug knew who Monarch was and lied to you all because I said so" it would be very easy for LB to just say she's lying.
I have approved this post, it is staying up I just added a spoiler tag to it.
Why spoiler? All the body text is speculation, and the image is a poster for the current season
I agree with you Lila needs to use this against ladybug ASAP
I think we will see Lila first akumatization and maybe we will also find out what happened to Alix
something happened to Alix?
Yes.She doesn’t appear in season 6 episodes
Mari: Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster...
Lila: Justice.
Good thing
in 2027 due to the repetitive hiatus.
Nah well be lucky if then, 2030 at the least
Sup gang! As you know season 6 is right around the corner so why not hype up by talking about perdictions! It can stem from ideas of what's going on with macaque powers to how that turquoise haired dude is showing up!
(P.S imma flip if yall mention Macaque dying he's my fav character T-T).
EDIT: mb guys I lied, I thought season 6 would come out this June but it turns out it was just a prediction. But still that does mean there's a possibility of it coming out this June!
Every single season since the start of the third I’ve been preaching for Macaque to show up with six ears and it’s been to no avail, BUT IT’S THE SIXTH SEASON!!! SEASON SIX = SIX EARS!!! I SWEAR I’M NOT DELUSIONAL!!!!
I hope the writers for season six actually consider this. I NEED FOR SEASON SIX TO INTRODUCE THE MONKIES WITHOUT GLAMOUR (or whatever magic they have to hide their appearances). I’m hoping we get a bald Wukong next season ❤️
Bald WuKong and bald tang ultimate combo
It would be an interesting idea to show the monkeys cut off from their power, we know that the nine headed demon got cut off from the chaos, thus it wouldn’t be impossible to assume the same could happen to them. This would cause mk to have the hope of humanity relie on his shoulders and it would mean he would need to face it on himself. Or if he got cut off as well, it would make him devastated that he’s unable to protect his friends, however this would give an opportunity for a side character focused season!
Nahh it would be so cool to see him with 6 ears although I’m not confident it will happen cause in his first episode macaque took his galmer off and only had 2 ears and canonical in jttw the 6 ears is a reference to one of his abilities or what he represents.
Although this could have implications that macaque has more power then we think. Maybe his galmer got remove was because he was only using a certain amount of his own power. After all we’ve seen him basically explode himself to stun the 9 headed demon dude
True that, I mean my personal headcanon is that he just never FULLY revealed himself in his first episode, but I’m never going to forget about his S3 character design sheet because of what we could’ve at least had 😭
Okay here's my prediction. We get a bigger glimpse at what happened between wukong and Macaque not fully revealing now but probably the biggest we will have so far.
Seconds macaque turns evil again not out of Will but because the chaos takes over him. He steals MKs staff to try and protect him from getting "infected" by the chaos aswell.
People will learn to handle their new powers better and MK will get overwhelmed and feel useless as now people can just protect themselves and he has lost his "only reason to be there"
Redson opens a dojo to train fire wielders that Mei often visits to help and train herself.
1. lowkey I feel like their gonna kind of have too do it, there’s just so much unanswered questions about their past if I remember correctly during season 5 When macaque and swk were bickering macaque mentioned being on this mountain as long as he has, indicated that he’s possibly borned there so I would love to see that explored. Also how swk and macaque first met, I have a gut feeling it’s gonna be a wild story.
I feel like this one will definitely happen as well. Like we can assume that the 9 headed demon was a normal before getting involved with the chaos because on the wall drawings it’s him looking like everyone else, but after being infected by the chaos he has a more moster figure maybe representing how he had not only physically changed but mentally as well(Ngl in his scenes u can tell smt ain’t right).
This is one I’m really excited about, although I disagree with the idea of him being usless as a major plot point in his character right now, perhaps later down the line it would be explored. But for season 6 I think it will be mk learning to live with his choice of changing destiny and adapting to the new line of hero’s, I like the idea of red son opening a dojo, however I think we could in theory extend it to the rest of the cast as well, maybe sandy will have meditation classes to help ground people’s warrior powers, or tang will have study sessions to teach people how to use their teleportation powers. I also think this would be a good opportunity to introduce new villians with everyone having powers I can imagine them having to start a new organization to deal with the smaller villians while no and his gang will handle the big baddies
I just want to know we’re getting a Season 6 🙏🙏
I’m sorry I accidentally lied it turns out it was a prediction for the next season to release in June :( although I’m pretty confident they’ll be a season six especially considering that they have 2 sets ready for it(hopefully not another lie !) Also china is one of the biggest markets unless the Chinese government disowned it then it’s probably gonna make a comeback
It’s fine it happens 👍
🤞 fingers crossed for a season 6 to come someday
I'd like to assume Erlang Shen will have some kind of presence/speaking role in season 6.
Oh yeah from the sets! I’m lowkey worried it might be something bad tho, yk with nezha helping gang while they were the prisoners. I wonder if he’ll get demoted or put on some detention, or even worst stripped of his title!
I'm calling it right now, miraculous will soon finally live up to its name.
A lot of fans complain about how Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, doesn't really focus on "Cat Noir" as much as "Ladybug" beyond season 2. Some people might suggest that Cat Noir was once even just an annoying side kick that gets his ass kicked while Ladybug defeats the villain and never gets involved in big plot points. This finally came to a peak in season four, when Ladybug literally dumped Cat Noir, so Cat Noir eventually gave up.
Then, he came back, and when Ladybug needed him most, he delivered. They worked their way together in season 5 to get the miraculouses back, and then they did, except Cat Noir was literally imprisoned while Ladybug fought Monarch, which is why most of us dislike season 5's ending.
I do believe, however, that we're finally going to get more Cat Noir, especially with the main plot being around a secret involving his dad. Eventually the secret will be out — whether by his friends or enemies — and he'll probably get akumatized or away from Mari/Ladybug, or both at the same time. So we're already getting more Cat Noir. But how does that issue get resolved?
Well, Mari could simply tell him the truth; his father wanted him to remember him as a hero, and, as bad as his dad was, he kinda was a hero by saving Nathalie, even though that was a consequence of his own actions, he at least realized he's done wrong and tried to fix as much as he can. It will take a while, but eventually, Adrien will accept the truth and be back with Mari.
Marinette will learn to always tell th truth to everyone, even if the truth was sad/painful, and her relationship with Cat Noir/Adrien will improve significantly, and Adrien will finally be involved in bigger plot points, instead pf being tossed to the side every. single. time.
Thoughts everyone?
I have a feeling S7 will give Adrien a more protagonist role. S6 probably build towards something which cant be said right now because it angers the same way as the "Sentimonster Theory" in the past.
I hope so — we need Adrien to be main character for once😭😭
Don't use "literally" when it's not literal.
Ladybug never dumped him.
Technically the main plot of the first five seasons was about a big secret involving his dad too and he was still sidelined. So, I don't expect much but hoping anyway.
Also, I think him learning the truth from Lila would be more intersting to watch because you know Lila is going to twist things around to make LB look worse than she was. I just hope they don't make Adrien do something he is going to apologize for and make it seem like what Marinette did wasn't so bad after all. I just want people to face the consequences of their actions.
With the way the writing's going, I doubt they'll just play it off. Bunnix talking about facing consequences in the Re:Verse special, the emphasis on Marinette's inner conflict about lying in s6. It has to be leading to something big
That’s asking a lot of the writers who only view him as a side kick.
As long as Sebastian's with them not all hope is lost
Yeah I don't think he's really ever gonna be used as anything more than a way to make Ladybugs story shine
I said it was a bold prediction for a reason — even though part of it is coping ngl😭😭
You should watch it again and haw many time Ladybug told him to get lost.
We're not going to get more cat noir. Literally everytime someone asks Astruc on twitter for more cat noir stuff he goes, "I just don't understand why people have problems with a show meant to empower 12 year old girls."
She didn't. Cat can show up whenever he wants, he doesn't Need LB call, he was only crawling for attention, the whole point of his development in S4.
He will try to fix thing but find that the sacrifices won't be worth it. Like he tries to wish in many ways but finds himself unable to live with the burdens. In the end, he must accept what his father couldn't: an uncertain future over an all too certain past.
We already know from the Paris special that he considered using the wish to fix his home problems and bring back his mother but decided he could never sacrifice anyone else no matter how lonely he was.
True but that was before Gabriel dies and who knows if learning of the true circumstances would push him over the edge. Like I can see Lila doing it as a last resort.
I'm pretty sure lila will akumatize herself and it'll be an all hands on deck mission with all the miraculers and especially cat noir. But other than that, what are your hopes for the episode, Nemesis?
I have a theory that in the last 2 episodes we will see Lila first akumatization
(Edit: wow I completely forgot about the London special 😂)
First Third self akumatization, since she was already Volpina and Hoaxer and the two in the special 😉
I think that’s an interesting plot! I hope your idea comes true.
Didn't see that in the London special?
Wait actually, seeing her side of the London special would be fire!!
Like in Origin’s? Wouldn’t that be underwhelming though? We wouldn’t have any Leading plot or know what to expect for the next season.
were going full circle
I think "secret protocol" is probably about the secret society we see in episode 7, nemesis would be fun for it to be a nathalie akumatization beause she refused to be part of the society and her father got super pissed
That Marinette finally faces the consequences of her actions.
The lie blowing up in Marinette's face, with Lila revealing it to least Adrien, probably the other heroes, maybe even to the whole world. It's been too much of a focus this season (which is a good thing imo) for that not to be the case.
Adrien finally figuring out who he wants to be and changing outfits and maybe even hairstyle. Maybe as a consequence of the revelation.
help, the first thing I thought of when you said hairstyle was BALD. Adrien goes bald XD maybe he learns about his dad’s punk rocker stage and gets a green Mohawk or something
I’m rooting for everything you’ve said 🔥
all i know is that i want to see a transformation for granny bunnyx
What if we called her Grannyx?
