Haunted House Secrets
In the Golden Saucer section of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the Haunted House is a treasure trove of secrets. Players have discovered that the statue on the table will always look at Cloud, and if you put a book back on the shelf, it keeps returning to the ground [2]. Additionally, sitting on the bed can cause spiders to fall from the ceiling
[2:2]. These small, atmospheric details contribute to the immersive experience of the game.
Character Interactions and References
The game includes numerous subtle character interactions and references to past games. For instance, Cloud's mannerisms in flashbacks are reminiscent of Zack's, hinting at their intertwined fates [5]. In one scene, Claudia's final words to Cloud are echoed by Sephiroth in a later part of the game, adding depth to Cloud's PTSD episodes
[5:6]. These narrative choices enrich the storytelling by creating connections across different parts of the series.
NPC Stories and Side Quests
The game features evolving NPC side stories that change as players progress. Some alternate versions of these stories appear in Zack's world, where dreams come true [4:3]. This dynamic storytelling approach adds layers to the game world, making it feel alive and responsive to player actions. The inclusion of unique voice moments, like Elena muttering insecurities while asleep, further enhances character development
[4:9].
Nostalgic and Humorous Additions
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth successfully incorporates nostalgic elements and humor from the original game. The cross-dressing scene with Cloud, initially thought to be at risk of being cut, was instead masterfully reimagined [3:5]. The developers leaned into the campy and humorous aspects, such as adding a massage parlor scene, which delighted fans
[3:6]. These decisions show a commitment to preserving the spirit of the original while updating it for modern audiences.
Environmental and Visual Details
Attention to environmental and visual details is evident throughout the game. For example, Aerith's interactions with Chocobos and the way she swings her legs when mounting them from different sides showcase the developers' dedication to realism [4:4]. Similarly, the haunted hotel room contains a magazine referencing Stamp and its creator, Reeve, suggesting deeper lore connections
[4:6]. These meticulous details enhance the game's authenticity and player immersion.
So, I'm playing through Final Fantasy VIII (doing the Remastered version on my Switch) for probably the tenth time since I first played it on the original PlayStation decades ago...
...and I just realized that when you are getting ready to put on the show at Fisherman's Horizon, you can 100% just leave the stage with Irvine, go back into Garden and get a ton of unique dialogue you wouldn't otherwise see. And even go see Squall asleep in his dorm.
Looking online, it's been known for a long time, but it's such a weird little easter-egg, I just never found it before. I never knew you could do that.
Anyone else make any "discoveries" like this on a second... third... fifth... tenth or more playthrough? Even if it's something that's fairly common knowledge, I think it's fun that I'm still finding things I didn't know about.
This is the sort of thing that 16 is missing. Just small things that people can discover decades later.
I'm still learning things about 7, even though I've been playing since launch. An 10 has a whole bunch of things like this. (For example, when you fall through the lake, Sin catches you. You're actually standing on Sin when you're under the lake).
Wow you mean Sin is just waiting underneath Macalania Lake? I always thought that lake was shallow + all players can now breathe underwater
Raijin doesn't attack if only female characters are alive. However, if he's blinded, he will still attack.
There’s something similar in FF7 in the fight between the Turks and Tifa in your party, where one of them never attacks her.
I have played this game +20 times and I don't think I will ever know everything there is to know about it.
If with Squall and Irvine earlier you went to the Grease monkey's house in Fisherman and found the Elite Soldier then if you go with Irvine alone you can go again and get some ammo rewards, including some Pulse Ammo which is the best one.
It took me 20 playthroughs to realize that the game starts at the end. Sorceress Rinoa stands in the flower field, waiting for Squall to return from the future. But Squall is actually stuck in the past, where Ultimecia is giving her powers to Edea. So Rinoa grabs a petal from the wind, turns it into a feather and sends it into waning Time Compression. Feather traces events of the game starting from the duel between Squall and Seifer, and falls into Squall's lap in the final cutscene.
I think she sent the feather directly to Squall where he's trapped in time compression. That's why the gunblade falls from the sky and makes the exact same 'clank' hitting the ground as we hear when he surrenders into the white in the final cutscene.
On the other hand, if you die in battle, game over screen shows you Squall's broken gunblade and the feather lying beside it, implying that the feather was not able to find Squall, and that it was there, when the battle happened.
Fisherman's Horizon is a nest of secret scenes and dialogue! It's a fantastic area of the game.
On the gameplay perspective, I was amazed a few years after playing the game numerous times that there were A TON of rare drops from monsters that you kinda have to go out of your way to get. Many used to teach all kinds of abilities to GFs. Not game changing or anything, but I thought it was neat at the time.
I remember finding that one screen in Fisherman's Horizon for the first time like last year. Blew my mind. Really is the best area.
Maybe that's why. But 8 was in development for 2 years, where as 16 was in development for 7.
7 years is plenty of time to include Easter eggs. I understand that 16 was far more complex to develop, but I don't believe that it wasn't enough time to add those kind of things.
15 was incomplete when it launched, but even then, the world felt more like a Final Fantasy than 16. Even more so if you include the DLCs and what not.
To be fair, I haven't actually played the DLC for 16. They're a bit too pricy for me at the moment, and I have other games to spend money on. So I can't really comment on if the DLCs improve that aspect.
No, there isn't. To my knowledge, at least. And she is waiting in the present, not past. "The past" usually refers to the era we play as Laguna in.
Many people probably skipped the Haunted House secrets when cloud returned there by himself after getting sick. The Haunted House is located in the Golden Saucer section of the game. I hung around the house and documented all 10 secrets in this video: https://youtu.be/rp0MKL3drTw
Some of the secrets I found...
The statue on the table will always look at Cloud
The book will keep returning to the ground even if you put it back on the shelf
There are giant spiders on the ceiling
The walking footsteps outside of the room where Tifa is, is triggered by Cloud location
The mist ejecting from the pumpkin
The spiders above the bed actually fall down if u sit on the bed
I personally like the NPC that says to buy from her quickly because she's going to turn into a zombie. When you go back later in the game...
Imagine if she stood there in a hooded cloak repeating «Reunion…» during the second visit.
Not going to lie, the player experience in the golden saucer is some of the most impressive attention to detail and immersive RPG storytelling I’ve played in a long time
reopen the chest enough times for 1 Gold Saucer Point.
Title kinda covers all bases, but I've been replaying through the OG FF7 to get the platinum for it, and I was surprised to see the tiniest little things show up in the playthrough that ended up getting a lot more depth, like the happy turtle fliers, Johnny, or hell, an obscure debug enemy encounter in a well at the dustbowl (okay that one wasn't in my playthrough, but that's a crazy deep cut to show up in rebirth).
So I was curious what obscure OG surprises you noticed while playing the remake games
I definitely didn't expect as much Vincent content as we got. I loved that they tied him into Queen's Blood, and goddamn that ending with Regina was so over the top ridiculous and absurd it has me wanting to replay the whole game fresh to be able to experience that cutscene again. I was dying laughing. Then getting to head Vincent's theme in the Mansion was 🤌.
I also thought Cid would get toned down considering how problematic he was in OG, and when we meet him I was kinda bummed that I was right. But then I started to see the little glimpses of real Cid, and got excited. Him getting frustrated with everyone when the plane is crashing "Shaddup and sit down like I told you!" Him and Barrett bickering at the start of Ch 12 "An' I don't take kindly to that tone of yers!" If you drive the Bronco to Junon and try to dock next to the big Shinra ship he gets super pissed and says "I ain't dockin' at no Shinra port!!" Our temper tantrum man-baby is there - he's just been hiding under a used-car salesman-esque facade. The man date was hilarious.
Zack - I don't think anyone was expecting him. As someone who didn't play CC, I really had no feelings about him. But I'm really glad they added him in, it's a great storytelling device and really >!highlights the parts of Cloud that...aren't.!< I liked the interludes and think they're a great storytelling mechanic for the bigger picture, while providing new mystery to a very well-known and beloved story using existing canon mechanics (Lifestream).
Chocobo Sage - was very surprised to see him in Nibelheim, and the fact they made him a stoner was hilarious. Yuffie called his BS before we even started the quest haha, and the whole time I was like am I just getting drugs for this guy? Wtf is chocograss. Girl has a good BS detector.
How risque Tifa's outfit was for Wall Market, and then the swimsuits for everyone were a great surprise in Rebirth. I didn't expect them to deliver so. much. fan service with them.
Ghost train section - this was such a short blip in OG that I figured they'd skip it for brevity, or keep it short. I wasn't expecting a huge dungeon area with two bosses, and Eligor fucked me up a few times. I had AC vibes big time here - and while the chapter felt long and wasn't my favorite, now that I've placed Rebirth and see they're adding in a lot of AC nods everywhere I see why they did it.
Corneo being as gross as they made him - I also thought they'd tone Corneo down, especially the whole "ripping off his dick" thing implied from OG. Nope, just changed it to balls lmao. I loved that they spread Corneo's influence beyond Wall Market with his cache's everywhere, and enjoyed seeing him in Rebirth trying to claim a new domain. It makes sense now why he's going to Wutai a lot more than in OG. Also the Corneo cactuars and Tonberry were a riot.
The hangman from Haunted Hotel - I definitely thought they'd leave that out - but they just reversed it to be less problematic. The haunted hotel was AMAZING. My jaw dropped the first time I went.
Scarlet shooting off Barrett's arm - holy shit this scene was far more horrific than I was ever expecting. I did not think they'd recreate that specific part with such detail. And for Dyne, I was expecting a change to his scene since his OG death would have been difficult to portray, but they really did a great job with highlighting his madness.
Gus being such a shitbag. Mr. Coates really doesn't do much in OG, nor is he all that bad. I was not expecting a gaudy ass mofo like Gus.
Midgarsormr battle - I loved that we had to fight it no matter what instead of being able to skip it in OG. What a great boss fight, and I liked that we get to see how it gets on the tree. And how it doesn't respawn like in OG.
on a couple notes it was interesting to see that instead of Gus/Coates working for Dyne, he had him prisoner.
Also that we got Midgarsormr's infamous Beta attack as a scene transition
but yea i agree with 99% of all this
Nope. Though at least in Rebirth, there's some indicator that you should go there, as you'd need to in order to gather all of the soldiers. In the original, there's no reason to go there unless you're just exploring every room in Junon.
First thing that comes to mind is Red XIII disguise during the ship section.
The chapter was nearing its conclusion and my expectations were mostly gone when he entered the scene moonwalking. I laughed so hard that I've almost fell off my chair.
Definitely not obscure, but when Remake was announced, even before news broke out about the multi-part strategy, people were wondering if they would've made the cross-dressing Cloud scene, how it could translate to a modern, high fidelity setting, while also trying to cater to a more modern, more LGBT-aware audience
I remember the discourse being that the scene would probably be scrapped, nobody could envision a good way to make it.
But no, they went and did it, in a masterful, fantastic way.
They not only did it, but added in a dang massage parlor!! They went full ham. I was howling when I got to that part. Like - is Cloud getting a handy rn?! Wtf am I watching??? Hahaha it was great.
They leaned in so hard with the LGBT and campy stuff - Jules and Andrea, Cloud dancing at a burlesque club, making such an impact on the Wall Market patrons that they fawn over the blonde girl even in Rebirth! There's 2 guys in Kalm at a table who are talking about it.
Then there's the 2 girls who slap fight that later decide to date each other!
I was pleasantly surprised at all of it considering Japan isn't particularly progressive on LGBT stuff from what I understand.
Maybe in Wutai Cloud will have to be a Geisha this time to take down Corneo again lol. I'm also expecting a dance with Andrea at the Saucer.
Yeah, I think a lot of us were worried that the sillier stuff of FF7 would be cut in lieu of super serious cool badass stuff - I mean, compare the tone of Advent Children vs FF7, and all Compilation portrayals of Cloud. The Wallmarket and cross-dressing scenario were one of those things that fans were really worried would be on the chopping block.
But nope, they included it, but reinterpreted it in such a funny, positive way.
The special club in Junon that is just for bald people.
Undoubtedly a bored programmer just needing to make a room not empty in the original. But it gets a whole song and dance in Rebirth.
such a blink and you'll miss it spot, but gets a song in rebirth
still wild they turned that into a whole minigame sidequest in Crisis Core.
and then again in Remake
This had me dying of laughter more than it should have. I love Cloud and the entire arc so much.
I loved this line, Cloud is such a fucking dork that's trying so hard to be cool, he knows he's nailed it but it goes against the image he's trying to create so he's just sweeping it under the rug as quickly as possible.
Mine is that when the party reaches Nibelheim regardless of who is in your party Tifa will stay close to Cloud after she tells Cloud to stay close and that being back is hard
The ending when Cloud asks Aerith if she's going to be okay then Aerith asks "And if I said I wasn't?"
A reference to an interaction of theirs in Remake in the park right before they see Tifa in the chocobo wagon headed to Don Corneo
If you did Cissnei's quest, Spice of Life I think it is, there's a call back to Language of Flowers. In Remake he tells the flowers "Learn to talk to her". In the Rebirth quest he asks "They finally learn to talk back?" after she tells the farmer what the plants are "thinking/saying". When I heard it the first time I did the Leonardo Dicaprio point at the screen move.
The only other reference to remake I've caught besides yours and what I mentioned above is also in a Gongaga quest for Barret. It has to do with that ingredient Jessie talked to Cloud about which is revealed to be used in Love Potions. If you didn't choose the option where she says that in Remake, that reference flies completely over the head in Rebirth. It's been so long since I've done the quest, but I think there's a moment where you see Cloud's realization.
In Loveless, the Fool references Remake when he says he's never seen a swordsman dance with such grace and skill.
The Fool usually tells the truth in a play, and he really hasn't seen it - it was just Aerith watching moves get bust between Cloud and Andrea.
For me it's all the NPC side stories going on, and that they progress and change as you get further into the game. Also, there are alternate versions of some of the NPC stories in Zack's world where the dreams they hoped for in reality come to fruition.
Main world there's a couple you run into that have tried for years to get pregnant. You see them in Cosmo Canyon trying to make peace with it and talking about adoption. Later in Terrier you see she did get pregnant and they say something like "I just wish we had the chance to meet her." talking about the unborn baby. It's bittersweet but illustrates that these extra worlds are for unrealized hopes/dreams/desires.
Outside of that subplot, there's tons of fun details all over:
Kalm: The two girls fighting over the same guy get into a slap fight, then start dating each other.
Kalm: A guy commenting about the "hot blonde with pigtails" or something back in Wall Market.
Kalm: The whole farmers market alley is a delight, same with the vendors in Costa Del Sol.
Gold Saucer patrons fill all the stereotypical tourist tropes; the over-organized itinerary person, a mom trying to corral her whiny kids, guy forcing his GF/friends back to races to keep gambling, person trying to do too much in one day, etc.
Love that all the weapons from Remake adorn Johnny's hotel, and the descriptions on all the trophies are great - the Loveless ones hint that Chadley runs a fan club lol.
All the posters and pictures all over the place, but Tifa's room is the best. On her bed wall she's got pictures of all the locations the party visits in Rebirth (up until ToTA/FC). Love the Zell reference, the weapon posters, Dumbapple juice posters too.
Chadley dressing up as a Tonberry wizard was so cute!
All the music for even small things like optional side quests or optional NPCs - the guy playing blues on his guitar in the Crows Nest was awesome and he has 2 songs, who doesn't love Bow Wow Wow, One-two Sabo, the Gus battle area version of his theme, they made unique and amazing music for everything. It's incredible.
The Cloud Jr. questline: once you finish it and go back with Barrett to Corel, the chicks and the mama bird follow Barrett around everywhere. It's adorable.
Devs trolling us with the chicken quest.
Vincent enjoying the decor of the Haunted Hotel
Vincent being a QB god and the aftermath cutscene of beating Regina was fucking phenomenally absurd over the top anime Yu-Gi-Oh level ridiculousness and I absolutely loved it.
Cid and Barrett bickering, and Cid showing his true colors if you put around in the tiny bronco enough. If you try to pull up next to the Shinra ship in Junon he gets pissed and says "I ain't dockin' at no Shinra port!!"
Cloud straight up hitting on the storybook author in Gongaga made me laugh so hard.
The Yuffie graffiti up Mt. Corel
There's so much I could keep going forever!
Vincent being a QB god
If you visit the Gold Saucer after the QB quest has concluded, you can battle Red who is a QB Supergod.
Cissnei also has a magazine on her bed talking about fashion in Midgar, and the page is flipped open to people wearing suits! Her kitchen also has a punching bag and a wall rack with several of her shurikens ready to go, she's still keeping in shape and up to snuff.
There's also a girl in Corel who talks about that Shinra executive that visited town all those years ago. Basically lusting after Scarlet. In Corel!
And no matter where you go in Chapter 13, Cid is standing at the dock next to the Tiny Bronco. Vincent is nearby, but often hiding behind boxes or shipping containers or on another dock across the bay. It was fun hunting him down at each location. He also talks shit about you if you try to leave during the Shinra Manor side quest before taking the elevator downstairs. "Fear is natural." I'M SORRY I WENT INTO THE LIVING ROOM, MY BAD VINCENT, CUT ME A BREAK DUDE
I'm pretty sure you and I have talked about these details before, nice to see you again lol! It sounds like you went back and were able to confirm that the intermission pregnant couple was the same one from the Cosmo Canyon therapy session. Very cool!!
Omg this reminds me! In the haunted hotel room, there's a magazine open to an article about Stamp and (seemingly) its creator - Reeve. If he's really behind Stamp, and Stamp was a helpful marker in Remake for the party to follow in the sewers and stuff, it seems Reeve has been double agenting for longer than we think.
Interesting about the Shinra exec - was she explicitly talking about Scarlet? There's a theory a female Turk rescued Tifa from Nibelheim and took her to Doc Sheiran in Corel - maybe that girl is talking about the mystery Turk.
I loved the Vincent side content, he's so funny!
I'm sure we have. Yea my kid was doing his playthrough and was on a Zack chapter and I took over the controls to check haha. It's too hard to get to those points in the story from Ch select you have to play so much to get to them!
Great catch on the weapons from remake in Johnnys hotel. You are the only person besides me that I’ve seen so far that’s noticed this.
You don’t notice it if you don’t stop, but as you’re running to safety as Aerith after the black materia is removed, Cloud sticks by Aerith wherever she runs. If she runs back, only he follows her. I guess that’s their way of writing in that he could be out of his mind but he still remembers his instincts, protection being one of them.
When Aerith gets off of a Chocobo she pats its head, which many people know by now, but something I also noticed is if she gets on the Chocobo from the right, she swings her legs to the left. They could have just animated her on transport sitting on the chocobo’s left all the time so it’s a neat little add in.
A subtle thing I with they didn’t remove from remake was Aerith waving goodbye to Bahamut. It would have been cute if they kept that for Bahamut Arisen.
Dude there are SO many unique voice moments that they totally didn’t have to add but did. Like if you put Elena to sleep in battle, she mutters some insecurities while dreaming, something like “did I do good, boss?” Like the smallest most obscure moment, and they manage to inject some personality traits.
When Bugenhagen says that the Cetra are not a religious people, Aerith is visibly disappointed. Her favorite place in the world is a church.
The extra quests that open up after Ch 12, one has you helping a woman write a children's book. But here's the video if you don't want to play it.
https://youtu.be/pIsaVCnmNNo?si=m664sF6r6SQezrgV
Barrett straight up blocking lmao I love it.
What Easter eggs and secrets did you find that hints did you find
Like cloud having Zach’s mannerism in the flashback sequence or how the real cloud was portrayed
The food bowl for Tifa’s cat, who appears in Before Crisis and Traces of Two Pasts
I missed that! Dammit!
The grunt on the ground near Cloud's house starts to mutter "Mom" as you get closer.
I like that it says “mo…” which can be interpreted for monster, but we know is mom.
When Cloud opens up the door to Claudia's house and it explodes, she says, "Run away, Cloud. You have to leave... you have to live." That is the exact same line Sephiroth said in Remake to Cloud after the Bombing Mission during Cloud's PTSD induced panic attack. So Sephiroth saying that to Cloud is what triggers Cloud to call him a "Bastard" Sephiroth repeated Claudia's final words to Cloud.
Holyyy crap that is amazing, I never picked up on that lol and makes that scene in Remake soooo much better! - I didn't think I needed a replay but now I think I will have to at some point!
Bro when I saw that in the trailer I was like sephiroth is a fuckin savage
Did he say anything else?
Dude, I'm rewatching it, and Cloud is even limping just like he does in the flashback in Rebirth! Literal chills! And the scene of him crawling after he opens the door and the fire blows him down!
!They survive the destruction by being scooped up for the Jenova Project. They become clones for the Reunion.!<
Haha I noticed that in the first game it always cracks me up
The two kids behind the counter at the General Store.
IYKYK.
Hi everyone! Ff8 is my favourite in the franchise (tied with x) and right now me and my partner are finally getting around to ff7 rebirth. I’ve already spotted the reference to Zell in Tifa’s room, and I have done every ‘Queen’s Blood’ minigame so far just because it reminds me of triple triad.
I thought I’d hop on and ask if anyone knows any other references that I might pick up on? We’re not too deep in game. We’re at chapter 3.
What reference to Zell? 👀
That's funny because Zell's 'Dolphin Blow' is actually a reference to Tifa's limit break, Dolphin Blow, so this is like a circular reference lol.
AHHH!!! I totally missed this!! So sick!! 😁
Just wait until you beat the final Queensblood oponent, it's a heavy FF8 reference
Technically I think there’s a part 3 boss in there too.
And it's variations are in intermission and rebirth
To the right you can see the normal Valkyrie you fight in Remake but to the left, thats clearly the Custom Valkyrie, the Boss from the Mount Corel climb! Both games are filled with amazing tiny details all around. There are a few more obvious bosses in the Advanced Weaponry like the M.O.T.O.R Ball and the Pride and Joy but this one stood out to me because thats a boss from Rebirth already being built during Remake. Its also just a fascinating little peek into how connected the development of those 3 games has to be, this Rebirth Asset was already done by 2021 if not already during the development of the DLC which probably was 2020. I'm always thinking that the making of these games is similar to how they shot LOTR.
I'm currently doing my second playthrough on PC after a year of waiting since the PS5 release and I will go at it way slower this time looking at things in Photo Mode and listening to the ambient Dialogue. A small thing I also found that was really cool is that you can find the dad of Akira, the Midgar Blues singer in Wall Market in Kalm. So many fun little details in these games.
It's crazy how this 1 hour demo had too many references and easter eggs, I just can't wait to see what the full game has to offer https://youtu.be/aWGA2jHy-8w
The Stamp/Zack connection is a major stretch, but otherwise it's a fine enough video. Stamp is a Shinra mascot. That's why Barret refers to him like that, asking if Cloud is scared to bite the hand that feeds him.
Correct, no Zack connection. The memory split he has during that scene is because Barret is grilling him about the reactor layout. As a real SOLDIER First Class he probably would know but since he's not, when he goes to recall the layout he discovers he doesn't have any memory of it and brushes it off with the generic "Different reactors, different layouts" comment.
Cloud has been in a reactor before
Great video! I didn't realise how deep some of these are haha
I have this same VHS. Its basically just a promo advertising FF7 and other popular games at the time. When you bought the original game, you could mail in for your free copy of this promo tape. Its like the "extras" you get at GameStop for reserving a game in advance.
Naw, secret code that stops Aerith from being brutally murdered and regrows barrett hand. Also fixes Cids relationship with his common law wife, god, and himself. Reunites redXIII with his father's spirt so they can play catch. Sends Yuffie to rehab for kleptomania. Introduces Vincent to a big brother charity for saving misguided youth where he learns the value of self and helping others. Replaces cloud with zack. Leaves Tifa alone, because they should do the same in the remake...
Shhh you're spoiling the bonus episode of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
I still have the $5 off coupon that came inside apparently but sadly it expired in 1998.
Lol that's awesome. Had no idea they made this.
VHS - Very Hot Stuff. Hot used to mean cool or rad. The usb inside that box should have some very good gameplay.
I wish anyone that owned old promo VHS tapes like this would digitize them and upload for all to see.
I love checking this kind of stuff out. I remember watching the DKC tips and tricks VHS as a kid when one of my friends had it mailed to them. It’s how I learned to throw a steel barrel against a wall then jump on it.
I’ll give it a watch and see if it is worth digitizing it, at the very least a crappy cell phone vid.
I have the hardware and software to digitize it if you want to send it I could easily have it done in a day and send it back along with a digital copy. Let me know if you are interested.
Please keep me updated.
When Cloud and whichever date partner are entering the auditorium to watch Loveless, there's an announcement calling "Maycolb Blume" to see the staff. I have no idea how I missed the fact that this is "make em bloom."
What other fun details did it take you all a bit to catch?
I had no idea. I was wondering about the name she chose. Thanks OP!
In Japanese it’s “Flower Keeper-sama,” probably because that’s an unfamiliar term over there so she still stays anonymous. They had to change it in English to make the ruse work.
Well she stayed anonymous to me so it worked.
