Can’t believe it’s been 8 whole years.
Graphics got downgraded.
Wished we had that parkour section inside the cafe
Crackas still holding out for puddlegate
Lmao puddlegate is still standing. Let it go, we got the remaster now
It's been objectively proven they haven't, watch Digital Foundry
After I saw this trailer immediately started saving some money and when Diwali came at my country i didn't buy any new dress for myself (Which is a tradition here). I bought a PS4 and the game got delayed 1 year but when I played it I cried in happiness and I cried in sadness when i went through the final cut scene.
I sat the whole day till next day 5am and completed the game. Good times.
1st game really delivered.
i feel old. and i’m 15.
Wtf
i was legit hyped for this game as a kid, and i remember getting it for my birthday. now that i’m here rn, it’s crazy seeing this
Same
You were 7.
Man I remember my excitement watching this for the first time. Truly one of the best gaming experiences as a Spider-Man fan. Tears poured at the end of the game multiple times.
Do you think Beyond the Spider-Verse or Spider-Man 4 with Tom Holland will be be released first, because both are in weird production places
Spider-Man 4. I wouldn't say anything about the current stage of that movie is in a weird spot at all. If they announce it in say August with a July 2025 release date, it'll be fine. There are leaks and rumors surrounding it, but nothing is official yet.
Omg that would be amazing 😍 lots they could do with Spidey 4
Well they don’t have a director yet and they were fighting over what the movie is even gonna be about, I would consider that a weird spot
The tonal/plot stuff seems to be sorted out with Marvel winning out with a more grounded story. Maybe with a touch of multiverse stuff as well, but allegedly it will mainly be street level.
They haven’t even filmed SM4. I think Beyond will end up coming out first. It’d be weird if there was a whole note Spidey movie that came out in between Across and Beyond, since they’re explicitly 2 parts of one large story
We have one movie that hasn’t been started but is much easier to make, and one movie that has already started but is a lot harder to make
Does anyone even know if Tom’s 4th movie has contracts signed to even get things rolling? It’s almost been 3 years since his last movie and I don’t think there’s been any updates on a 4th except that he wanted to take a break from them for a bit. That being said if Sony comes out and announces it tomorrow my money would be on that coming before beyond the spider verse
Supposedly there’s a finished draft of the script (by McKenna and Sommers) that they seem to be tweaking. Tom mentioned being a part of the creative process so presumably there’s contracts signed. There’s a rumor they’re fast-tracking it, but my guess would be a release date around July 2026.
BTSV in 2026
Beyond, 100%
Here's the link to the schedule for the re-releases. Only U.S. so far as I can tell but hopefully there may be a release for those of us in other parts of the world.
spider-man 3
The reputation for this film has changed a ton over the past 10 years but I’m not sure if it really deserves it.
Yes the memes are funny but it’s really not that good of a film.
third best spider-man movie
idk man, I never really minded that movie. It's just so charming I can overlook it's shortcomings. It's a geniune film, from the cast and you can feel it was coming from a place of love. Compare that to No Way Home where during every scene I can hear the producers whispering behind me "we're gonna make so much fucking money" and not caring for much else

It is a fun film. Peter’s relationship with Harry, fighting Sandman/Venom/Harry, Peter and Harry teaming up, the Black Suit… didn’t feel rushed, nothing ever felt forced or shoe horned in despite Venom actually being shoe horned in by executives.
For the crowd interaction/participation, yes. This would be a fantastic midnight showing with a good crowd of goofy fans.
Honestly I’m good with just watching spidey 1 and 2.
The rest are aight
3 would probably be the most fun, but personally I’d like to experience homecoming again
inb4 i realize how old i am when people pick any of the tobey films because they weren't born when they first released
No Way Home is the only one I didn't see in a theater, so probably that one. S2 maybe because it's been so long and I'd like my kids to see it.
The first two are classics for me so I can't skip either just so the chance arrives.
Sony is pushing for a 2025 release date for Spider-Man 4, but Beyond The Spider-Verse already has its directors and whatnot.
If you had to take a bet, which one would you say comes out first? If so, when?
Both will come out in 2026 im betting on but SM4 I’m seeing is in development hell already and they haven’t even really started yet so I’ll say BTSV.
Spider man 4 beyond hasn’t even started animating
if the 2026 release rumor is true, if it was 2025 then obviously it would be a bad idea with Avatar 3 in the way
Depends on the vibe of it. From all rumors, SM4 sounds real dark and I’m not sure Sony and Marvel want to put something more “mature” out at Christmas when something more fun from their slates could fit better. Despite the downer ending, NWH was a ton of fun and benefitted from the season of family by including everyone’s Spider-Man from the last 20 years. SM4 is very much not that.
Returning Spidey to July feels more likely.
Honestly, if it's a darker flick, I could see October being a nice opening spot for it. Having a darker movie as a mid-summer blockbuster feels a little weird.
Alternatively, November is also possible - doesn't fit the vibes, but at least it sets up a good run with potential December legs. The MCU could easily accommodate a March, July, and October/November release for that year if they want to return to three movies a year by the time SM4 releases.
What rumors? The "street level Avenger's team up to take out Kingpin"? I've actually haven't heard much about it, despite looking around a bit.
Basic summary of the Spider-Man 4 rumors backed up by track records:
!It’s a sequel to Daredevil: Born Again, with Mayor Fisk outlawing vigilantes in New York and putting hits out on Spider-Man, Daredevil, Punisher, and Hawkeye (MSS mods)!<
!Fisk recruits other villains to take Spidey down: Vulture, Mister Negative, Scorpion, and Kraven (Cosmic Circus)!<
!Peter has given up his personal life and is Spidey 100% of the time now, until he meets his next door neighbor Miles and begins to mentor him (VA)!<
!Sony and Marvel want it to be a darker crossover film (DanielRPK)!<
!There is a tie in with the Sonyverse (Daniel and Cosmic)!<
I know it's a Sony release, but, Marvel/Disney still has a say in when it releases and Sony doesn't want to tarnish the relationship they have. The issue with this rumor is following Deadpool 3 we solely know of ONE MCU film that will be released in 2025, Captain America 4, in February. Frankly, I could see it getting pushed back to May if Fantastic 4 is not in production within the next few months/cast announcement.
So, Fantastic 4 has two dates it could take - July 25, Thunderbolts, or November 7, Blade - so we would have two more films that would need dates. The last I heard was Thunderbolts was supposed to be done by now if the strikes didn't happen. So that could take Blade’s spot if that and F4 is in production and finish this year to make the July 25 spot, F4, and the November 7 spot, Thunderbolts.
Now in 2026, we have 3 dates for the Disney film - Avengers 5 on May 1 and two untitled Star Wars films on May 22 and December 8. So if Balde does film it could take the Avengers 5 spot in May OR take its original time frame of February, but in 2026, if Avengers 5 is happening. So in 2026, a Spiderman MCU film could take a July spot, not near another MCU film. Or, it could take the Untilted Star Wars film in December.
So in 2026, due to film shuffling, we could see three MCU films being released - Balde in February, Avengers 5 in May, and Spider in July or December. I have a feeling that if Spiderman 4 does come out in 2026 they may take the December date if they need to do some readjustments with other films within the MCU. Also, that day gives you a nice tie-in for Secret Wars in 2027.
Marvel might have to reshuffle some things, but it can be done to get Spider-Man out along with some of those films in 2025.
Cap and Thunderbolts can keep their release dates and I suggest move Fantastic 4 to early 2026. While I would suggest moving Blade up about two weeks to October 24th. As it would release in time for Halloween and its only major competition would be the third weekend for The Batman Part 2 and gives it a bit of a bigger gap before Spider-Man's release.
Spider-Man, I would release on December 5th. Blade's marketing campaign will basically be over and its gonna lose a lot of screen times by that point. While its also two weeks before Avatar 3 and Spider-Man is gonna be fronted load enough that Avatar 3 aint gonna hurt it much if it releases just two weeks later. Plus of course it serves as decent counter-programming to Avatar.
Marvel/Disney still has a say in when it releases
No they don't. Sony has sole discretion over that. That's why Doctor Strange MOM and NWH released out of order. Sony refused to move their movie.
I am not talking about the order they are released in context to the MCU. I'm talking about making sure the Spiderman Movie is not released near another Disney movie, like Avatar 3.
I think its possible for Spider-Man 4 and Avatar 3 to co-exist just fine in the same release month, provided that Spider-Man 4 releases on December 5th 2025. It would have a full two weeks to itself where it was gonna make most of its box office regardless of what releases later in the month, as its pretty much destined to be much more front loaded then Avatar 3.
They are probably going to want to go back to a summer release, like the original plan before covid

It has been generally accepted that 2025 is the year Spider-Man 4 will release, with filming starting in 2024, but given some recent updates, I’m not sure if it will make it there anymore.
There are already four MCU movies scheduled for 2025. Captain America 4 in February, Fantastic Four in May, Thunderbolts in July (the month the first two movies had) and Blade in November.
Assuming all of these actually meet those release dates, I can’t see Spider-Man 4 fitting anywhere in there. Sony could try putting it in December just like No Way Home, but it would have to compete with Avatar 3. Any other month seems overcrowded or dead.
Five MCU movies in the same year is also way too much considering a big issue Marvel is having is quantity over quality right now. Even four movies is too much, and that’s not to mention the shows.
Is this likely gonna be a 2026 movie?
No, Although it’d be cool to have a Spider-Man, Captain America, Batman, and Superman movie all in the same year.
Kind of think they have to sign the stars up before filming begins, and they haven't done that yet. As of yesterday, Tom Holland is still playing the "I won't do it unless the script really does justice to the character" dance.
I think he’s just saying that to give people more faith in the movie, or so that Sony will offer him more money.
Exactly. Plus, a lot of these talks probably got delayed by the strikes. Summer 2026 seems likelier barring a major rush job.
From the interview of Tom Holland yesterday it looks like they aren't even close to start this movie, so I seriously doubt
Nwh finishes filming march 2021, if they have a script done by july they might be able to get it for late summer 2025
Who controls the release dates part of the franchise, Sony or Disney?
Cause I don't think Sony cares at all about the MCU overcrowding 2025.
Sony controls the release date it's their film with Disney being a minority partner for production.
They won't care as they'll be releasing the movie people will actually turn up to watch.
If Sony wants Spider-Man 4 in 2025, chances are good Disney will bump one of those 4 movies (probably Thunderbolts.) to 2026.
I swear If they push blade again
Blade should move to 2026 Feb fr
