TL;DR
Zeno - Dragon Ball Super
Zeno is frequently mentioned as one of the most powerful anime characters due to his ability to erase multiple universes on a whim. This cosmic-level power places him above many other characters in terms of sheer destructive capability [1:3],
[5:1]. Despite being a child-like figure, his authority over the multiverse makes him a formidable presence.
Saitama - One Punch Man
Saitama, also known as "Caped Baldy," is a unique character in anime due to his status as a gag character. His defining trait is that he can defeat any opponent with a single punch, which has led to humorous situations where he effortlessly overcomes seemingly insurmountable challenges [1:4],
[5:4]. His strength grows when facing opponents close to his level, demonstrated by his battle against Cosmic Garou
[1:4].
Rimuru Tempest - That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
Rimuru is another character noted for immense power, particularly in the light novel version. He possesses abilities like "Gluttony," allowing him to absorb others' powers, potentially making him stronger than even cosmic entities like Zeno [1:9]. Rimuru's versatility and adaptability make him a strong contender in discussions about powerful anime characters.
Simon - Gurren Lagann
Simon is celebrated for his role in "Gurren Lagann," where he pilots the titular mecha to achieve feats of universal scale. His progression from a timid boy to a confident leader capable of altering reality itself highlights his strength [1:6]. The series culminates in battles that transcend typical physical limitations, showcasing Simon's potential.
All Might - My Hero Academia
All Might is revered not only for his physical prowess but also for his symbolic role as the "Symbol of Peace." His presence alone maintains peace and order, demonstrating a strength that goes beyond mere combat ability [4:1],
[4:4]. His influence is felt worldwide, emphasizing the impact of his strength both physically and ideologically.
Other Notable Mentions
Characters like Griffith from "Berserk," Sinbad from "Magi," and Mob from "Mob Psycho 100" are also recognized for their unique strengths within their respective universes [2:5]. Additionally, comedic or unconventional choices such as Kirby and Kotobuki Tsumugi have been humorously suggested due to their unexpected capabilities
[5:7],
[5:8].
Yeah but he solos quite most of fiction he's pretty strong granted it looks like they just picked some random strong people the question is strongest of all anime
Powerscaling gets funky here, because of gag characters.
Saitama is effectively a gag character, who's whole shtick is destroying anything and everything with a single strike. You think a guy is gonna get one over on him? Nope, he'll just get a little more serious.
Zeno can erase multiple universes literally on a whim. He's the supreme god of the multiverse.
Dragonball Super had a crossover episode with a little robot girl (Arale) from another of toriyama's works, and she just cartoon-logic'd her way out of everything, lol.
I mean Saitamas enemies are not particularly strong either. No one out here comparing Anti Spiral to those weird ass bugs
Empty void can exit the universe and go to a higher dimension where he sees all infinite universes and possibilities and his attack ignore energy and distance
Saitama being gag is irrelevant. In the anime, Beerus is about to destroy Arale, a true gag character, unlike Saitama just being effectively a gag character. Goku then states that gag stuff is irrelevant to Beerus.
Whis and Zeno are much stronger than Beerus, so they are immune to gag nonsense too.
When Saitama fighting someone who is close to him in power he grows even stronger, cosmic Garou was at his level on beginning of fight but then he wasn't even close, and c'mon man, he sneezed and FUCKING JUPITER EXPLODED
How can you bring up the strongest and not bring up the goat simon
Because he isnt. When asking for the strongest of all time its probably someone like najimi ajimu
The strongest normal human being is of course Kirilin
No but Rimiru can use gluttony and eat zeno and take his powers none of y'all know about slime and how freaking powerful LN Rimiru is.
Saitama is a gag character how do we truly know for fact?
From what I saw from the powerscalling subreddit, he is about 5D, which isn't nearly enough to be on this list, but Saitama is universal, so...
1.Saitama 2.Griffith 3.Luffy 4.Almight 5.Aizen And co. What are your comments?
3 of those people aren't even the strongest in their own series.
I doubt Griffith is stronger than the rest of the God Hand.
Almight wasn't stronger than AfO, even in his prime.
Aizen got beat by ichigo, so....
Are we considering their relative strength compared to the rest of their self-contained world? If not, my top five would just be some random gods from all those isekais. I mean Saitama is strong, but omnipotence is just that.
Yes, I choose characters based on their power in their own world. I'm glad to hear your thoughts.
Sinbad/David from Magi.
Mob from Mob Psycho 100.
Elizabeth from Gintama O_O
Get Backers has reality/destiny warping people in there. Including someone who, if he doesnt believe in something, it doesnt exist for him. That way he was able to cut though an indestructable blade.
We listed out who we think are the top 10 strongest anime characters of all time. Obviously this is an opinion piece, so we're really excited to hear what you all think. Who do you think should be on the list? If you have a compelling argument, we may add them and give you credit :)
https://vgkami.com/top-10-strongest-anime-characters-of-all-time/
Goku isn’t even the strongest in his universe yet.
Some sailor moon characters are stronger than him
Alucard is too low
There are other characters like Haruhi and Nagato who could twist/alter/erase entire universes to their will, one of them could do it subconsciously as well.
Giorno at fucking four??
weird
Lol who puts Jotaro above Alucard. Alucard is a metaphor for death caused by war.
I'm a die hard One Piece fan and don't particularly care for MHA all that much.
But I'm still giving this one to All Might.
There's just something about keeping absolute peace by your very presence that's so f*cking badass.
I'm a bit surprised you didn't pick Whitebeard by your logic then considering he became the strongest to protect outcasts and considered them as his children
I adore Whitebeard as well and he's a close second! I just think the way All Might keeps peace almost all by himself is cooler.
I’m in the same boat as you. I love ONE PIECE but All Might wins this one.
It Is Fine Now. Why? Because I Am Here!
Just this sentence alone gives so much hope to anyone listening
Haven’t watched One Piece so can’t comment on him, but out of the first three it’s easily All Might. He’s known worldwide as the Symbol of Peace, to the point where even kids who don’t know Japan know it as “All Might’s country” (from S7). Gojo is known as strong by jujutsu society, and Jinwoo to my knowledge is not world-renowned.
Actual power is a whole other can of worms that I refuse to open, but in terms of being known as strong, it’s All Might hands down.
Jinwoo is world renowned. Huge Spoiler don't click if you don't wish to get spoiled >!He beat Thomas Andre. A national level hunter. Hunters from All over the world wanted to sign him!<
>!Jinwoo talked to all the biggest Hunters and said if y'all against my dad I'm against y'all, and nobody said shit, he definitely known as the strongest lol!<
I've watched all of these and I think this belongs to All-Might.
I AM HERE
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA SMAAAAAASH!!!
I’d say Goku, Naruto, Yato, and Kaguya are up there
Speedwagon
Yes
best girl too
that one baldie
Even dodoria can beat him lol
ahem that's Caped Baldy to you
Kotobuki Tsumugi.
Zeno from DBS or any other cosmic level character who could sneeze the multiverse out of existence like it's nothing.
Completely forgot zeno
Kirby
Sukuna, Tanjiro (With his sword held in one hand), High Dio and the other white Dios, Gojo, both the Yorrichi Tsugikuni one is faster but the other's flame abilities last longer, Awakened Yhwach, Aizen (theres a variety of em but theres only one that actually doesnt spam their abilities and is actually good and counters most hits and while I was testing characters, I found another Aizen who took only rare fighters he fought against to take off his glasses then he became op. Mugen is so comlicated cuz most fights they dont transform and sometimes they do or they only transform against specific characters then fight normally with others. So my solution was to do a turn based where I make them first fight the chaarcters they usually transform against then kill that character as soon as the fight starts before making them 1v1 a character I want. This worked the same way with blindfolded Gojo who kept his blindfold on when he fought sukuna but toook it off when he fought characters like dio k1 and high dio or Tanjiro (with one sword who can awaken) so I put Dio as the first turn, killed him when gojo took off ther blindfold, then made him fight Sukuna shibuya incident to see who was stronger. For once, Sukuna was dominated by gojo. I finally got to see the true fight in the mugen ver cuz Gojo kept getting bodied and I kept getting mad he didnt go all out cuz the other guys infiniite vulnerable and the other one one was extreemely fast but couldnt hit Sukuna and the other was just plain slow but had infinity. The Blindfolded gojo was both fast strong, had 0.2 domain and could use all his abilities. The downside is that characters can still move when he uses purple and it just begs me to ask what the point even is
Holy yap 💀✋
Oooh the accelerators are my most fun fights to watch. Theres 2 in particular which are kinda op I call them the thunder duo. Lmao but its fun to see them fight each other
These are mostly JUS characters at most with somewhat playable levels of op. Then there's characters that corrupt your computer and counts it as a win.....
oh wow not a single SF character
my strongest character is shaggy.
For me 100% Itachi uchiha badass strong smart a really interesting and sad past for me he is just perfect
Honorable mentions: madara pain levi escanor hisoka killua meruem zenitsu askeladd yammy(black clover) Akashi (kuroko no basket ) jiraya sasuke and benimaru waka(fire force
I know long list lol but i would feel guilty if i didn't include all of them. But ultimately my favourite is itachi what do you think?
Sakata Gintoki from Gintama
Koyomi Araragi
reinhard from logh
Erwin Smith
I thought about a lot of good picks before it hit me like a bolt of white lighting-Seto Kaiba. God damn Kabia is fantastic.
All might the symbol of peace . Stopped crime in Japan and beat all for one .
Benimaru shinamon the strongest fire soldier . One shot the collective consciousness regarding humanities view on the strongest , by simply being stronger .
The honored one GO/JO satoru . Was born and changed the balance of the world , he forced curses to become stronger . Born with the god abilities of the limitless n the six eyes .
Meruem the ant king . Prodigy beyond many , bested humanities strongest nen users with moderate ease .
Saitama the caped badly . Needs no introduction other than he beats Goku .
Yoriichi the strongest slayer in history . Best Muzan so bad it gave all of his subordinates ptsd
Yujiro hamna the ogre / strongest creature on earth . Is the undisputed strongest in the Baki verse , made the American army his bitch .
Edward Newgate / whitbeard the worlds strongest man . Equal to the pirate king and the man that never wanted the throne but ruled in front of it .
Red the Pokémon fan OC . Captured mewtwo ?
Tbh, out of this list it might just be Yoriichi.
He may not be anywhere near the best written but from straight portrayal, he genuinely is the strongest in every sense of the word. This man didn't take a single L in the entire series and absolutely steam-rolled everyone.
For Muzan to be defeated, he had to be bullshit poisoned, and then weakened by multiple Hashira, and then Tanjiro ( with literally every slayer buff ) 1v1 him with sun style, and just then did they barely beat him.
Whereas, we see Yoriichi shitstomp Muzan with literal negative difficulty. And like you mentioned, he does it so bad that Muzan gets PTSD for the rest of his life, and it scared him so much that literally anyone with his blood is scarred by the encounter too.
With Gojo, technically Sukuna is stronger than him, with Saitama he doesn't get the rep for his saves except for a very small circle of protagonist, All Might has his injury so he's fallible. (Obviously, in the long run all of these are actually good things because it allows for all of the above to make infinitely more interesting and better written charcters than Yoriichi)
But, when it comes to us being shown who's the strongest, Yoriichi might just take it, since he literally shows us with his feats, his statements, his impact, his prodigious nature and his reputation. He's literally infallible as the strongest in Demon Slayer.
OTOH, King, the man known as the absolute strongest human in the world, who has even Tatsumaki's open respect and praise and has super high level beings paralyzed in terror from just the sound of his rampaging heart beat, is just some random schlub who had the good/bad luck to keep getting credit for some of Saitama's casual feats.
Yorrichi Tsugikuni is imo the best representation of being "The Strongest" The strongest are the strongest so they can protect the weak. (That's what my mother always told me) And he fits it best. Ofc people like Newgate do literally the same but that mf Yoriichi was a diffrent breed of dude in his verse.
With the "strongest protect the weak" fact, rengoku would take that spot because he's soully fighting because his mama didn't raise no bi***
Yoriichi isn't just the strongest slsyer, he basically created demon slaying and a whole new system of martial arts to allow people to fight them.
He was so powerful even the bloodline of his cousin are prodigies.
And best of all, he got to live to an old age, and die happy.
No contest. (all might is second tho)
Exactly. Arima is probably the most accurate depiction of "The Strongest" in his verse. Cause the only person capable of killing him is himself. Although it might sound edgy but it truly shows what it means to be The Strongest.
To be fair, he was the still-imoroving pinnacle of a weak New World species when he died, so it's possible that there exists something stronger than him that we haven't seen yet.
Tomura Shigaraki had a body with comparable physicals to All Might even while his quirks were under the effects of Erasure. Additionally, Deku, who already has a stronger One for All than All Might on account of the quirk growing stronger with every transfer, has two other damage boosting quirks from One for All’s second and third users. This allows him to fight at 120%.
Regarding One Piece, Joyboy is definitely the strongest. I won’t spoil the reason we know this.
>Gojos has always been the strongest
Sukuna
>Prime all might was the strongest I believe
Shiggy/AFO
>Whiteboard in his prime was the strongest too
Roger
It wasn’t really intended to be the strongest , more of a general thought of how they’re perceived in story.
Exclude Saitama tho
Red isn’t agreed benimaru isn’t agreed. Gojo isn’t the strongest there is a reason he’s dead, prime all might is one of the strongest but not the strongest, yujiro is weird he is and isn’t.
Honestly I like it more when, even if their power is simple, the "strongest" is explicitly not in that position because of pure physical might, but rather in spite of it. Probably my favorite examples of this (outside of Jojo) are King Bradley from Fullmetal Alchemist and Sato from Ajin: Demi-human.
Bradley's generally considered the strongest character outside of the literal final boss and the spiritual embodiment of natural order, yet he's just a fast, skilled swordsman who's trained all his life. He's not the physically strongest, because there's Sloth (basically Hulk but lazy), multiple chimeras, and even a few humans who'd beat him in an arm wrestling competition any day of the week. He's not the fastest because Sloth can speedblitz characters in a similar manner but with way less effort. And he's not the most durable because he's not only "just" an exceptionally hard-to-kill guy but also lacks the invincible skin of Greed or even the regeneration that any other Homunculi has. His Ultimate Eye grants greater visual acuity akin to a Byakugan but is limited by a normal field of view, letting him quickly analyze situations visually and react accordingly, yet it's up to himself to react, unlike the more blatantly broken powers of the others.
When he gets shot, it matters. And even his weapons are nothing to write home about, being regular military spadroons interspersed with the occasional knife when necessary. They're disposable and more than capable of breaking under the right stress, and without them he loses a lot of offensive capability against characters in a similar weight class like other homunculi. Yet despite all this he's one of the most feared because of his merciless, no-nonsense approach to fighting and his sheer skill and adaptability.
Sato takes his own unique approach to being the strongest for a sci fi manga, because he, a regenerating, immortal human known as an Ajin is operating on the exact same powerset every other character does. Every Ajin has the ability to regenerate upon death and a good chunk of them can summon a black "ghost" called an IBM with minor superhuman strength. This is all Ajins can do, nothing more, and the same is true with Sato.
He doesn't have any secret technique or OP Stat that puts him above everyone else, and this isn't a world where people can train to the point of dodging bullets or lifting cars, he's just human. Despite this, he manages to be a one-man army because of his gunfighting skill, ability to improvise and adapt with basically any tools on hand, out-of-the-box strategies, and sheer madness.
The man will literally game the system of his own powers so hard that he'll figure out entirely new applications nobody's considered, like turning himself into a friendly fire risk by diving in the middle of a squad of police or turning grenades into close-quarter weapons. And those aren't even close to the craziest things he does. Because of all this Sato is on a different level any other one person in the series, even when working with the same tools.
I find this type of "Strongest" character interesting because they manage to dominate despite not having abilities that allow them to completely breeze through situations like others might, having to not only put the work in to become as feared as they have, but constantly adapt and respond to situations that let them show of their skill and tactical ability rather than simply bulldozing through with higher numbers. Multiple characters could snap Bradley like a twig or dice him up if he gave them the chance, yet he never does. A well-timed car bomb with followup tranquilizers could easily put Sato out of the fight, yet he makes sure to never put himself in positions like that. It's not sheer that allows them to dominate their opponents, but rather how they use what they have.
Yeah, V is the strongest, but Blackhand is THE strongest (copyrighted)
Ajin's "power system" basically revolves around death and taking risks. A madman like Sato, completely unafraid of death, is bound to exploit it as much as possible.
When you think about it, he's smart, but he's not some crazy master planner playing 4D chess with his abilities. Instead, he is completely deprived of any subconscious blocks about self-preservation, and thus comes up with plans the average sane guy wouldn't even consider possible.
Chief among them, >!sending his hand in a box through security and then tossing himself into a woodchipper to completely regenerate from the hand, past security!<.
Sato is one of my favorite villains precisely because he understands how to game the power system. And it never feels cheap, or like an asspull. Every time he comes up with a new scheme the viewer is left thinking "huh why didn't anyone else think of that"
Its entirely as you described, he just lacks any sort of self-preservation, he sees life as a video game almost.
The fact that every plan manages to be more reasonable to figure out than the stuff you see in jojo's while still being utterly insane due to the sheer insanity required to consider them is part of Ajin's magic. One of the best parts of the series is seeing how Kei Nagai slowly becomes more like Sato in terms of what he's willing to do to himself for a plan, to the point of shooting himself mid-chase to keep pace with Sato despite fatal injuries.
Madara Uchiha to Might Guy.
Granted, Guy still needed a bit of backup, but Madara was coked up on every broken hax ability in Naruto from the Sharingan to the Rinnegan, Byakugan, and the entire goddamn TEN TAILS yet Might Guy was able to damage and nearly kill him with nothing but raw Taijustu skill via the 8th Gate--something that everyone can make use of, but choose not to.
He earned the right to be called the strongest.
Everyone could use the 8th gate in theory, but nearly nobody even has the GUTS and the POWER OF YOUTH to open even the 1st, Might Guy alone is the one who was willing to sacrifice his OVERWHELMING POWER OF YOUTH to lay the smackdown.
Huh, i'm pretty sure Kaguya is far stronger than even both together?
In Cyberpunk, Morgan Blackhand is considered THE Legend in a city of Legends. No one has ever compared to him, no one will ever compare to him.
Dude is running basic, run of the mill chrome. The reason he's such a force that even Adam Smasher, the Boogieman of Night City, can't lay a finger on him is because he's capable of calling in favors from everyone and is king of coming at people sideways.
Isn't V the strongest by the end? Especially after taking on the entirety of Arasaka AND Adam Smasher by himself?
He also countered tranquillisers by committing suicide if he gets hit by one, so he will revive without falling unconscious.
Altair Ibn-La'Ahad from the first Assassin's Creed.
A remark that is often repeated by fans: where other protagonists have health bars, Altair had a synchronization bar. The way the Animus works (machine that lets you relive your ancestor's life), you get desynchronized when doing something that your ancestor didn't do.
Meaning, outside of scripted events, Altair never got hit.
I'm emphasizing Altair's comparison to other protagonists here in consideration of him having Eagle Vision, although that didn't really have any effect in his other abilities as an Assassin.
He literally moves so fast nobody can keep track of him and eats almost everything like it’s nothing. His only weakness seems to be that his great strength comes at the cost of having less lives than the other homunculi. Perhaps because he needs to consume a bunch to revive once?
Imagens meramente ilustrativas, a "discussão nal se limita a eles
Regras:
strongest anime characters of all time
Key Considerations for Strongest Anime Characters:
Power Scaling: Different anime have varying power levels and abilities, making direct comparisons challenging. Consider the context of each character's universe.
Abilities and Techniques: Look for characters with unique abilities, such as reality manipulation, time control, or immense physical strength.
Durability and Resilience: Characters who can withstand extreme damage or recover quickly from injuries often rank higher in strength.
Versatility: Characters with a wide range of skills or those who can adapt to different situations tend to be more formidable.
Fan Consensus: Popularity and fan discussions often highlight characters considered the strongest, but opinions can vary widely.
Notable Characters:
Goku (Dragon Ball Series): Known for his Super Saiyan transformations and mastery of martial arts, Goku is often cited as one of the strongest characters in anime history.
Saitama (One Punch Man): His ability to defeat any opponent with a single punch makes him a unique contender in discussions of strength.
Zeno (Dragon Ball Super): As the Omni-King, Zeno has the power to erase entire universes, placing him at the top of the power hierarchy.
Madara Uchiha (Naruto): With his mastery of ninjutsu and the Rinnegan, Madara is one of the most powerful shinobi in the Naruto universe.
Alucard (Hellsing): As a nearly immortal vampire with vast powers, Alucard's abilities make him a formidable force.
Recommendation: When discussing the strongest anime characters, it's essential to consider the context of their abilities and the universes they inhabit. Goku and Saitama often lead the conversation, but characters like Zeno and Madara bring unique strengths that challenge traditional notions of power.
