TL;DR Unfortunately, there are no discussions specifically addressing top-rated snow blowers for 2024. However, below are general considerations and recommendations based on common factors influencing snow blower ratings.
Considerations for Choosing a Snow Blower
When selecting a snow blower, consider the type of snow you typically encounter and the size of the area you need to clear. Single-stage snow blowers are generally best for light snowfall and smaller areas, while two-stage and three-stage models are better suited for heavy snowfall and larger driveways or walkways. Additionally, consider whether you prefer electric or gas-powered models, as each has its own advantages in terms of power and maintenance.
Popular Brands and Models
While specific 2024 models weren't discussed, certain brands are consistently recommended for their reliability and performance. Brands like Toro, Honda, and Ariens often receive high praise for their durability and efficiency in clearing snow. For example, the Toro Power Max series is known for its robust construction and effective snow-clearing capabilities.
Additional Features
Look for features that enhance usability and comfort, such as adjustable handles, easy start mechanisms, and heated grips. Some models offer advanced features like automatic steering or chute controls, which can make operation more convenient and efficient.
Recommendations Beyond Discussions
For updated information on top-rated snow blowers for 2024, consider checking consumer review websites, manufacturer announcements, and expert reviews closer to winter season. Websites like Consumer Reports or specialized outdoor equipment forums may provide detailed comparisons and user feedback on the latest models available.
I think I hit puberty just before turning 13, first wet dream was 9 days before turning 13. My tanner stage is now 4.3 - 4.5
will not make me GROW taller though
You probably have 2-3 inches left. I see 6'1 as possible and you could be 6'2.
But 1 cm in 3 months is brutal
yeah if that stays steady that's 4cm in a year. 1.5-2 without dropping too much which is somewhat realistic.
I also have a question.
I recently ( around a year ago) started to grow pubic hair on my thigs and this area in general it's still getting more noticeable though, it got noticeable around 6 months ago.
And, I had armpit hair at 12...
yep you’re def near ur adult height
😢my dad is 6'2 188 cm
my mom is 165 cm
i was pretty tall all my life
What breed was it ?
As expected, it was a pitbull.
RIP beautiful angel 🥺🕊️🙏🏾🤍
If you wouldn't sleep with those dogs why make your daughter. And if your dogs are violent why allow them near a 3 year old
Pitbulls again, I'm shocked!!!!!!
It’s only blue by population , it’s red by surface area
Bro where is New Zealand
New York is mostly a red state look at the colors
Yeah, who lives in that blue little spot at the bottom anyways?
It clearly shows the hicks and the robber barons are red , any city of significance is blue.
land does not vote, people do.
Sure, maybe it's a lot, but relevant in that:
a) Standups are certainly on this list. Touring as a band in a van is rough... but the cripplingly lonely comic's grind of hotel after hotel, barely making ends meet, addictive personalities, etc. It'd be so incredibly easy to leverage a stand up comic. That's conspiratorial to some extent, of course, speculative at least. I imagine the technocrats are somehow playing their own angles during this era of misinformation ("This is not propaganda" is an amazing book about all this).
b) True and false is over, so it's "who can you trust?". This era poses massive problems because someone might be an unreliable narrator, or misinformed, or on one of many payrolls, or just being misrepresented, or it's a full on lie, or AI, or clickbait, maybe ragebait, etc. etc.
*But* even the idea of this list of people the american public are technically supposed to trust? People are built to be credulous, not Carl Sagan level skeptical baloney detectors. People are so desperate to believe, and be duped.
I figure it's relevant to this discussion of the great "what in the hell is happening, really?". It does seem in the last 10 years, so many people have inexplicably become unreliable narrators.
This article is from September of 2024. This is when Tim Poole got outed for being on the Russian payroll.

DOJ: Russia Aimed Propaganda at Gamers, Minorities to Swing 2024 Election
Newly unsealed court documents reveal in unprecedented detail a campaign called the Good Old USA Project, which Russian authorities believed could impact the US election.
>One of the key aspects of the Kremlin’s campaign is also to engage with influencers. According to the FBI’s affidavit, Gambashidze’s company “extensively monitors and collects information about a large number of media organizations and social media influencers.”
>According to the Good Old USA project document, the Kremlin was seeking to work with influencers who are “proponents of traditional values, who stand up for ending the war in Ukraine and peaceful relations between the US and Russia, and who are ready to get involved in the promotion of the project narratives.” Among the types of influencers listed as possible collaborators are actors, politicians, media representatives, activists, and clergymen.
>The affidavit references one document maintained by the Social Design Agency, which is not included in the unsealed court documents, that contains a list of more than 2,800 people identified as influencers. While this list is global, US-based influencers account for around 20 percent of the accounts being monitored, including many US lawmakers, according to an analysis of the list by the FBI.
I prefer Chinese propaganda.
The problem with Chinese propaganda, you find yourself wanting more almost immediately after consuming it.
LMFAO
The ones highlighting our country’s issues with drugs, homelessness and healthcare are brutal with their honesty, and since I think they’re not aimed at Americans, so they feel a bit like a poverty safari for outsiders to laugh at an dying empire.
This is certainly an issue within Canada. During the course of 2024, there was a massive disinformation campaign on social media from actors linked to autocratic nations ( China & Russia) and autocratic-adjacent ones (India). We now have to contend with propaganda and interference from an autocratic-adjacent United States.
There’s an episode of JRE from years ago where Suey Trussell started goofing on the son of one of the Koch brothers and Rogan shut it down. I just remember it feeling like a weird de-railing of a bit (which was less common for him to do at the time). Then saw him adamantly defending Steven Crowder and calling him a legitimate comedian. Shapiro, Owen’s, Peterson. It’s not at all a stretch to assume Rogan’s had some kind of kick back system with PragerU, DailyWire, Koch industries (to say nothing of the free flame throwers or whatever Musk gives the man to make him publicly glaze like that).
Joe Rogan is more dangerous than Russia. Russia is chasing narratives already in our discourse and inserting itself using cheap propaganda for headlines and global clout. The DOJ docs show them compiling lists of influencers and trying to piggyback on trends, but that’s a far cry from shaping them.
Rogan, on the other hand, is a media empire. He has made hundreds of millions from Spotify and advertisers, and he has a direct line to millions of Americans. Russia can’t afford to control him. But they can latch onto and amplify what he does.
So treat Russia as a diagnostic tool that reveals where we’re vulnerable, not as the main threat. Think of it this way. Russia is sneaking around the house whispering to people through cracked windows while Rogan is inside with a bullhorn.
Meta and TickTok could easily get into the Rogan family algorithms and twist their brains as needed. I would love to see Rogans insta
I know pim tool was on this list.

I’m from the south and the past few winters here were mild enough not to need more than a snow shovel. This year, however, has proven that a snowblower will be a worthwhile investment for the sake of my back. Curious to see what people prefer. Thanks!
Pretty much any mid-tier or better machine from Honda or Ariens is a safe bet as far as quality, durability, long term parts availability, etc. (whether you buy new or used). Yamaha makes good snowblowers as well, but they're very rare to see in the US. I'd generally lean towards the models you can get from a proper equipment dealer and avoid the stuff from Home Depot (they carry Ariens blowers, for example, but only the low end models).
Personally, within the realm of what you physically have space for and is a reasonable size for the area you have to clear, I'm a fan of the biggest and definitely the most powerful blower you can stomach the price of. A more powerful snowblower will mean you can move faster in any given snow conditions, so you're done clearing sooner in small snowfalls. And in big snowfalls it can save a lot of time and effort, especially if you just wait until the snow stops and clear it all in one shot.
You don't necessarily need to go buy a brand new blower either, it doesn't hurt to look around and see what's available used.
EDIT: For anyone who's curious, I have a 2018 model Ariens Pro 28. It's overkill for a lot of the conditions we get, but gets the job done quickly. And when we get a lot of snows back to back, it's handy to have something with enough grunt to trim the plow banks back to the curb in a few spots so the street doesn't just keep getting narrower.
Honda or Ariens
or Toro.
Just picked up a new two stage 24" Toro from Dave at Brighton mower. It's a beast
We have an ego 2 stage. It's battery powered, but just as powerful as the similar gas snow blowers. We've had it since 2020 and it's been great
Saw a 1 stage ego snow blower for 200 bucks, no batteries in fb marketplace. I already have the batteries, so it's kinda tempting.
I got a 1 stage Ego snowblower w/o batteries on sale from Lowe’s for $200. I already had batteries from my mower so figured I’d give it a shot. It’s pretty good but I wouldn’t recommend it as a primary snow removal tool for a driveway in Rochester winters. 2-stager definitely the way to go.
Have the same; it’s great. Same battery goes into the lawnmower and the edger; never have to worry about gas or oil changes. Would recommend.
Same situation and would never go back.
If you do this be very mindful of the humidity where you store then. Humidity murdered my ego mower.
I have a 25 year old Ariens. It still runs great. I change the oil every year.
Get electric start. You’ll thank me. They probably all have that by now.
Don’t get the little one. I think at the time I was told to get an 8hp one at least.
The cool wide ones are awesome until you need to manually move them.
I think I went one step above the base, and it’s worked out great.
Get some extra shear pins. Tack them to the garage wall as you’ll never find them otherwise.
I have a cub cadet two stage. It's been fussy. Would not recommend. Shoveled all weekend because the auger isnt working anymore.
I snagged an older (90's) ariens from Titus mower. That beast blows through everything. I think I paid $400 maybe 5 years ago
This thing does so much better than expected, I don’t think I’ll ever touch a snowblower again
Best thing I ever did was sell my snow blower and buy a plow for my 850
In the market. Just bought a new house with 300 yard driveway.
Anyone know if there is a back attachment to spread rock salt?
You don’t want to spread salt from the atv, The company I work for tried it on sidewalks and it just ruins the atv, We tried everything, washing after each use, fluid film, metal protector, salt spray, homemade deflectors, 7 different brands of atv. I wonder if a tow behind spreader would work
They do make them. Not sure if Polaris specifically makes one but check out Amazon—you’ll be able to find some
I use mine when it’s either 3 inches or less or wet and heavy. Love it!
My 550 does a great job job, hell I even put blocks on the plow for weight and moved dirt with it. Yours looks much nice though
Thank you I just bought the plow a month or 2 ago think is great I’m impressed with the way this thing performs the wheeler is relatively new to me to only a 500 but has good power and low miles on it
Hey everyone! With winter in full swing, I’m on the hunt for the best snow blower to help clear my driveway and walkways. I’ve heard there are so many different types, from single-stage to two-stage, and even electric vs. gas-powered. I’m looking for something that’s powerful, reliable, and easy to use.
Some models I’ve been looking at:
Any suggestions on the best models, brands, or things to keep in mind while shopping? Appreciate all the advice!
Thanks in advance!
I bought the Ariens several years ago and could not be happier. My driveway is wide ( three car width) and the street I live on is pretty busy so we get plough trucks that speed up and down creating a huge pile. My old Craftsmen was unable to get through it. My Areins cuts through like its butter and also has no problem with sluchy muck. I have neighbors that do not own snow blowers because they think that they won't cut through that plow pile. I highly recomend the Ariens but I have no experience with the others. My concern on the EGO is battery life. But I'm sure you would have a couple of extra batteries. But definately go with 2 stage.
I'll jump in the mix and share an unpopular opinion .This may be lengthy.---> I live in the Northeast US, so we get the heavy wet stuff more often than not. The end of the driveway at the road after the plow goes by a few times is a bitch to deal with, as most of us know.
We have a concrete driveway, approximately 100 ft with a turn out Tee about ¾ , closer to the house. Bringing all this up, because with this area, plus the herringbone brick walk to the door, and path to the back yard, it's a large area to clear.
We have gone though a gas Toro from Sears, ( back when they were a thing) , and then about 2014 graduated to a 420cc Briggs Ariens 28 inch pro model.
The past winter and this one's start, the Ariens has had 3 belts go, both of the auger / drive cables break, and it has been a beast through most of it. ( I realize some of that maintenance is on me, and i shoukd have been more proactive). Still struggled with the real nasty stuff at the end of the drive, and the harder icy stuff if it sat too long.
After shoveling by hand the last 2 storms, I started doing research for another snowblower. After hours of reviews and reddit, and messages to folks owning them, I went with a battery Ego .
My major concern was , " no way it's going to handle the wet slushy crap, or the deep stuff". I was wrong. So far, it has destroyed wet snowbank snow, packed week old snow, and all the regular stuff.
It is almost as loud as the gas brethren, but just as much , if not maybe even more power, and really easy to maneuver. If I had known sooner, I would have switched sooner, for sure.
On a 6-8 inch storm , wet snow, I'll go through about 60-80% of the batteries.( Model came with 2 batteries and charger) I have back ups from other Ego products, but haven't needed them mid storm yet.
I did buy the 2807 model, so it is the big boy, but absolutely no regrets. Not saying I look forward to another storm, but this machine makes them easy to deal with🤘 https://www.acehardware.com/departments/lawn-and-garden/snow-removal-and-equipment/snow-blowers/F001300?variationProductCode=7025842
Apologies to anyone who fell asleep reading this,, I know it is ridiculously long. I hope it helps some of you one the fence.
I have about 300' paths to snow blow. We have a semi-circular driveway approx. 100' 2 car wide average, then another 3 car average 60' approach to the garage, then another 100' 3 car wide path to the shed where the snowblowers live. I picked up a Home Depot Ariens 1332 about 15 years ago and it is a beast. I had issues in the beginning with belts stretching and breaking. Then found out Ariens had an EC, and for $110.00 (about 2x belt cost) you got a double belt setup, pulleys and belts. I haven't changed a belt for 10 years.
This is my walkway and backup machine now. I got a sweet deal on a used John Deere x475 with a 48" snow blower and its is a beast. Cut my snow blowing time in half. If you have a big driveway and room to store it, its the way to go. IMO if you have a big driveway 24" is way to small. I'd want something in the 30" range
Thanks for sharing your experience! I wasn’t sure about switching to battery power for heavy snow, but sounds like the Ego really holds up. I’ll definitely keep it in mind
Ego 2405 owner here. I agree Ego does a good job. The throw distance they tout is BS (especially for wet snow) but it does a good job and I have not run out of battery during clearing
I do not remember the model number and the blower is up in my shed. I wiill be bringing it out tomorrow in anticipation of a snow storm so I'll get it to you than. It is a 24" though so its easy to store in a small shed and easyier to get inbetween cars in my driveway.
Ariens or the Honda. Two stage is what you'll need. Three stage is a gimmick. Single stage is awesome for walkways and decks (along with light and fluffy snow), but not great for a LOT of heavy snow or deep snow.
Electric would be fine for a deck or walkway, but I would expect anything battery powered to be a bit more expensive up front and not be able to last a long time (purchasing more batteries to charge while one is in use, batteries getting depleted more frequently with heavier snow). I'm not against electric, to be clear, but gas tends to be cheaper, more prevalent, and can last longer per snow.
We have an Ariens Classic, Cub Cadet (junk), and a rider with an attachment. The Ariens, even though it's a smaller Classic, does very well. The Cub is garbage.
Thanks for the feedback! I agree, two-stage seems like the way to go. Good to know about the Ariens Classic working well and the Cub Cadet being a letdown. I’ll stick with gas for reliability. Any specific models of Ariens or Honda you'd recommend?
Considering that it is only $100 more, you may want to consider the Ariens 28 inch Deluxe rather than the 24 inch model.
What size is your driveway, how deep are your typical snowfalls, and are they dry, or wet & heavy?
"Large", etc, is pretty relative, and doesn't tell people a whole lot, for trying to make useful suggestions.
A large driveway that holds 4 cars is one thing; a large driveway that's 2 cars wide and 300 feet long (along with weekly 12" wet storms) calls for a totally different machine.
There seems to be a good recommendation between the Classic and the Deluxe as far as Ariens goes. Either one of those tends to do well. Can't say I can give a recommendation for a specific Honda, but IIRC a lot of people have the HS55(?).
Cub was bought by MTD, and while that's not necessarily bad, the quality has been getting worse over time. Cheap plastics, cheap cables, poorly designed, no longer name brand engines, prone to rust, thin sheet metal in high wear areas (auger/impeller housing).
MTD has gobbled up several brands and, essentially, take the cheapest model they produce and slap stickers and brand-specific paint on them.
CC has had great products in the past, however no longer. In an attempt to speak with a representative on the CC website, there's no available number, chat function with a person, or email which can be obtained that is US specific..
I've personally had nothing but trouble with the CC I have; from rusting bucket, badly designed chute maneuvering handle, not adjustable cables, bad cable mounting (expensive to replace the whole unit), badly designed engine, prone to oil consumption.
I won't buy a CC. Only Ariens/Toro from now on. Hell, my old Briggs and Stratton from Big Box Store didn't have this many issues.
