I would check out r/fragrance and look up niche brands! Most are unisex. My favorite brands are boy smells, etat libre d’orange, diptyque, byredo, le labo, and imaginary authors!

My partner used Salt and Stone fragrances, if she wasn't already using them and I didn't want to smell just like her I'd use them too. Super ambiguous, not overly scented, not too flowery or anything like that but also not that super-masc "tobacco and whiskey" nonsense.

Replica and Jo Malone are both fantastic. Replica is super neutral and unique. While Jo Malone may label/market certain scents for a certain market, they have a lot of options that are pretty neutral.

I would recommend Lattafa. Not only are they (most of them I think) unisex, but they are also some of the best value for money clones:)

It's expensive as all get out, but Tom Ford's fragrances are unisex and smell really good.

Marmite but the obvious one is BR540.

I’d also probably say LV afternoon swim for summer - though it doesn’t last long at all.

For other times of the year - by the fireplace.

My personal favourites that fit in that category:

Guerlain: Spiritueuse Double Vanille, Neroli Outrenoir

Creed: Silver Mountain Water, Virgin Island Water, Jardin d'Amalfi

Tom Ford: Neroli Portofino

All of these are equally wearable by men and women, although Guerlain SDV and Creed JdA while awesome on a man would be absolutely amazing on a lady :)

If you're asking if a perfume is worth it, worth a blind buy, worth the hype, etc., no third party/internet stranger can determine that; only you can decide. Until we get the digital smell feature, the best way to know is to sample them and compare them, as well as comparing them to other perfumes. r/fragrance also recommends reading/watching reviews.

For help visually identifying a perfume -

• Try Google Image or Google Lens search
• Go to Fragrantica and link to their color search tool which also shows shapes of bottles
• If your photo is blurry there are apps that help you sharpen it up.

I'd say about 90% of all fragrances are "unisex"... There are very few fragrances that are clearly masculine or clearly feminin in the classic definition of the word (don't start a fight pls lol) Soooo... What are the best fragrances out of about 90% of fragrances ever created? Uhm... Hmm... Uhhhh... When in doubt... Shalimar?

Try Serge Lutens Chergui and File de Joie

I just tried House of Bo Casa Blanca, and it is so good! It's a beautiful blend of mostly tea, fig, tobacco, copal, and bourbon vanilla. Don't be afraid of the tobacco, suede, and white oud as they are very softly blended in. I sprayed the top of my hand at noon, and I can still smell it at midnight!

Try buying discovery sets or samples online. I recommend Etat libre d'orange for the start.

Toy Boy. I love my bdsm teddy bear juice so much- such an interesting, gorgeous scent, especially for the price. I consider it not only unisex but actively androgynous- it doesn’t ’work’ for me on either a very classically masculine man or classically feminine woman. But I think it would be very interesting and beautiful to smell on a butch woman wearing leather or trousers or on a man with elfin cheekbones and long elegant fingers wearing an almost-transparent silk blouse
