Hidden Items and Locations
Ghost of Tsushima is rich with hidden items and locations that enhance the gameplay experience. Players have discovered various secret masks and helmets, such as the Tengu Demon Mask found behind a waterfall [5:1], the Raider Helmet acquired by playing the flute at a specific mountain location
[5:2], and the Jinzo Hat located behind a pullable wall on the coast
[5:5]. Additionally, the Helm of the Lower World can be found in a chest on Fune’s ship
[5:4].
Easter Eggs and References
The game includes several Easter eggs and references to other titles. For instance, players have discovered a Sly Cooper mural hidden in the waterfall cave where the Tengu Demon Mask is located [5:6]. On the mountain with the monkey shrine in Saruiwa, there is a painting of Cole from Infamous [[5:9]](#sr-5-c-9]. These nods add an extra layer of enjoyment for fans of Sucker Punch's previous games.
Mythic Tales and DLC Content
Exploring mythic tales marked by blue quest markers is highly recommended as they provide valuable gear [3:5]. The Iki Island DLC offers additional secrets and content, including new side missions and insights into Jin’s past
[4]. It recontextualizes Jin’s father’s death and elaborates on his transformation into the samurai known in the main game
[4:4].
Tips for Discovering Secrets
To uncover more secrets, follow gold quest markers to quickly obtain weapons and tools [3:1]. Engaging with shrines can also yield charms that provide bonus resources, aiding in gathering supplies necessary for upgrades
[3:3]. Observing leaders before defeating them can grant additional points
[3:8]. Lastly, keep an eye out for golden birds, which often lead players to hidden treasures
[5].
I currently have 60 hours in this game and I only have two side quests/tales left. They aren’t anywhere is my journal and I can’t find any more undiscovered locations on the map. is there any way to see what trophies you are missing??
Search it up on Tsushima wiki. You have all the tales listed there and its locations
This game has 77 trophies: 59 bronze, 13 silver, 4 gold, and a platinum.
They are easy (3/10) and take 32 - 50 hours to complete.
Price: $19.99
OpenCritic: 85 / 100 (based on 176 reviews)
Other region prices, wishlist, or buy | Trophy guides: PSNP, PS3T, Pyx
I am a bot. More info about me

Imagine if you can travel to tsushima just like how iki was in GoT and you unlock the ghost mask and or the storm of clan sakai as a nod to him and maybe it would be a mythic quest and might bring in some lore to what happened to Jin and all his companions after GoT
A Tsushima DLC could be cool, but it really needs to be executed correctly. If the story is bland and the environment is just the same as in GoT then it would suck. I would have faith in Suckerpunch to pull it off though but there is probably something better they can do for a DLC. Something Jin related has to be included in Ghost of Yotei though. Maybe a mythic tale or something
it’s more likely it’ll be in the game than not, in GOT all you did was steal Legends Armor and claim it as your own lmao😂😂
Almost certainly will be
Taking from the trailer where the man says “People come here to hide… but you…are here to hunt”
I bet Jin fled north to Hokkaido to escape the shogun and at some point we will find his armour, mask, or at least hear legends of him and be able to learn the ghost stance.
At least I hope because that would be bad ass
Just got the game wondering what kind of tips and tricks you guys have.
stance swap a lot to chain attacks together while fighting it helps a lot or just go full puss and go stealth mode
Thanks and nah id rather stay with the samuri code and face em head on.
its not a hard game even on hard it was pretty damn easy going to replay it on lethal but yeah its a pretty easy plat good game though
Do the shrines. I can't remember the exact shrine but there is one that gives you a charm to get bonus resources. It is a big help in gathering supplies which you need to upgrade anything
Follow the gold quest markers to get the weapons and tools quickly.
I've spent more than 20 hours in the game and only just got the grappling hook.
The mythic tales( blue quest markers) also provide pretty good gear
If you jump and do a heavy attack while in the air you will do a jump kick. Aslo works with light attacks while jumping to do a cool sword attack that has the chance to do some great damage or break a guard.
Observe the leaders then kill them 2 points!
Similar to RDR2, this game felt like it teased a conclusion several times and kinda drug along. BUT. I really enjoyed the dichotomy of Jin’s samurai upbringing vs the reality of the mongol invasion. Great characters, beautiful landscape. Doing the DLC now and definitely recommend as it recontextualizes Jin’s father’s death and elaborates on how he became the samurai we know him to be. Great stuff, don’t skip out.
Very excited to platinum this (again) before Yotei next month.
Congrats OP.
Online trophies kill 100%
Yeahhhh think I’m stopping with the story dlc. Probably won’t do those
Love it! Congrats!
Congrats!
I never even knew there was a DLC but i remember loving the game and the Plat, can’t wait for the sequel
I’ve found the tengu demon mask (hidden behind a waterfall, thank you golden bird), raider helmet (followed bird up mountain and found flute sign so I played it, lightning struck the ground and a chest appeared where it struck with the helmet inside) and the jinzo hat (pirate looking hat I found behind a pullable wall hidden on the coast). Anyone else found any secret masks/stuff?
Just as you commented this I discovered a chest at the fort which contains a new ronin attire appearance called Eagle’s Chosen, it’s hidden under some scaffolding so drop by there too when you get the chance!
Question on a "Records of Iki" scroll at the Vipers Den (small fishing village south of Shattered Cliffs)... the scroll title is 'Hidden Treasure' talking about hidden loot "Follow the coast up to the nearest watchtower, When the sun touches the horizon.." Anyone follow the clues & found it? If so where's it at?
There’s the helm of the lower world in a chest on fune’s ship
Where exactly on the ship is the chest?
There's an entire hidden side mission that involves you building a house with some guy. I started it by bumping into him while exploring.
I can’t find the guy! I got him once but after completing the DLC I can’t find him anymore
Did you pick up the scroll near where his original house burned down?
Yeah! I just found him in the forest. So are we supposed to find him at other spots or does a quest start?
Tengu demon mask in the waterfall cave also has a nice Sly Cooper mural waiting to be discovered too.
Damn I didn’t even notice. I just grabbed the mask and went outside to see how it looked. Loving the secrets in the dlc.
On the mountain that the monkey shrine is at in Saruiwa there's a painting of Cole from Infamous!
Where can i grab the jinzo hat?
For me, I didn't know that you could >!parry attacks until NG+, I'd pressed the buttons a few times during the playthrough and assumed it was a taunt of some kind!<
I also didn't know what the >!scavenger mask!< did until I had already activated the >!heroes' grave in the monastery!< so I (and I pretty sure I'm not the only one) had to do the Miasma run OHKO
That's pretty insignificant, but >!I didn't get the point of the changing room until NG+!<
I did not find this until my (recently started) second run and I was amazed there were still things to uncover
!Did you find the room inside of the room ?!<
Wait there’s a changing room!!!??? I’ve played through this game like 5 times 😭
I found the room relly early, there is an arrow on the map, but I didn't realise what it was for. It's near the little fountain with the >!tile puzzle!<
I used that room literally moments before >! Getting turned into ghost form the first time, and I didn't understand what was happening and had turned my fox into very pale muted colors. I thought ghost form was the reason my fox ga's changed colors permanently 🤣 !<
Like the fact that you could change your colors or is there a deeper advantage to doing so?
Hilariously, I changed >!my skin to be a super dark shade of purple!<, which matches >!the weak clones in the cathedral!<, so suddenly when >!strong clones started attacking and dodge rolling!< around me, and I couldn't tell the difference because >!my skin looked the same!<, I thought it was really unfair just to >!hide a few strong enemies but make them look identical to the weak ones.!<
It was only after watching a let's play that I realised >!the strong clones take on your skin colours!<, and I'd accidentally fucked myself about 10 hours in advance lmao
I'm at end game and I just discovered that you can change the day/night time once you have the laurels... But I already restarted a game + (to access treasure in Atoll)...
I didn't know I could run untill after finishing the game 💀 would have been useful for the siege engine
I didn't figure that out until 3/4 through my run
Not really. Page >!26!< mentions reducing usage of something, but i could understand somebody guess its some kind of emergency action when the bar is low.
I'm trying to record all the secret encounters, "treasures" and places in the game. I haven't found any complete list around, so I'm doing one myself. Some of these are already noticed on reddit comments, others are also noted on websites like https://mapgenie.io/ghost-of-tsushima/maps/tsushima and some of them I haven't seen noted on any comment nor youtube video. I'm having trouble to find a couple of them and I ignore if some "treasures" are lore related (places referred in any recod scroll), so any help in that regard is appreciated.
I've tried to be as vague as possible, but spoilers are unavoidable.
Hakutaku Forest has a small farm overrun by boars. Jin makes a comment about them and you get a surprisingly good xp reward for killing them.
Where in the Hiyoshi is this man from act I ?
The closest elder you break free from Azamo is the same one that tried to manipulate the mongol leader into killing Taka. In his dialogue he mentions there was one other blacksmith there but he had escaped.
I checked every hot springs, haiku, inari shrines and bamboo strikes, I just cannot find any others. Checked the whole map and guides but somehow im still missing something. Can anyone help me understand
So first I'd look at the collectables menu to see which of the three you're missing and once you know that I'd activate the guiding wind for that particular one with the traveller's attire. I personally missed one Inari Shrine on the map and needed to 'aim' the wind at it to guide me there.
Have you bought all the wind skills? Try equipping the travelers attire with the wind skill and follow 😀
I haven’t played in long time but pretty sure you can set marker from the map and let wind guide you there
Have you checked the menu where it says how many you’ve got
Try mapgenie for collectibles
So I'm 190 hours into my save and I only JUST discovered the earthwake ability... 🤣 so I was wondering is there any other "secret" things like that to find or obtain. And yes I know its not really a secret but you know what I mean. 190 hours later and this would have been so helpful, wish they hinted at this unlockable earlier in the game..
Hell, somebody missed that in BotW, you can increase your equipment slots! :o
When I referred to people missing the battery upgrade I was referring to myself ;) In my defense I took a big break after the intro so forgot about the explanation, and never happened to check the forge outside lookout landing. So I just never ran into it
Thank you! Are you able to store weapons and shields in your own house like botw?
Specifically - you have to do a quest in tarry town to unlock the house, but then YOU build the house and buy whatever rooms.
You are NOT stuck with only 3 weapon mounts, you could make the entire house weapon storage rooms if you felt like it.
Personally, while I will likely never do a no-teleport run, I dislike always teleporting to Lookout Landing for a bed and cooking pot and goddess statue... I realize those sound unrelated to a no-teleport run, but it just seems off to me that Link would leave a dungeon to go to lookout landing for a cooking pot. So I tend to put those in the house plus a weapon room. I dunno, makes sense to me that Link would have his own goddess statue.
First point is important. Use up one of your travel medallions right outside your house for quick and easy healing. I do it quite often while grinding down in the depths
Do the Lurelin village side quest of cleaning out the pirates as soon as possible, then help the interior decorator rebuild all the houses. Also go to the island and get the merchant a boat.
You get: free bed at the hotel, free gambling at the casino that randomly gives you blue lynel parts and boss bokoblin horns, a chest that randomly gives you a 50 rupee payout, and an octorock eyeball from the merchant. You also get free random meals from the restaurant that are usually good for five or six hearts and there are lots of roasted porgy, mighty bananas, arrow crates, etc around.
I spend more time recuperating in Lurelin Village than anywhere else.
This! Plus, once you unlock the free gambling, you can get ALL the prizes there by picking up the roasted porgies near the treasure chest on the beach and giving them to the guy there. Great way for free parts. And the hotel there is free to stay in, plus you can do the salt spa (cost 5 pieces of salt) to get 3 bonus hearts in addition to full health. I wished I had done the Lurelin quests earlier in the game.
They didn't misspell it :) Earthwake is an ability you get from >!the Yiga clan!< by >!infiltrating their base and passing some tests!< after >!obtaining the full set of Yiga armor!<.
Dusk bow randomly sitting in a hole in the tallest spire of the castle.
Rock Octorok repair durability of your weapons and shield and apply buff.
Yes, I would check youtube or Google if you cant find it. I guess it could be easy to miss, I'm proof of that :P
