For your case I recommend using a separate app like Parkopedia.

Viggy (viggy.io) is also a good parking app

I like it because it helps me find individual parking spots, not just parking garages

"parking app"? Sorry, but what functionality would this app have please? There are pay for parking apps, apps to help you find an available parking space or apps to help you remember where you've parked your vehicle.

Parkopedia is helpful as it also has data from underground/multi-level carparks. But as with anything, street parking restrictions can and do change.

I usually just go on Google streetview for wherever I need to go and sus it out.
Bottom right corner, you'll be able to see when the image was captured so you know how recent it is.

WeTap… finds water fountains

Google maps terrain view to find dead ends & streets that are out of the way then satellite view to confirm & look for gaps between houses, to see which way houses face, fences etc. Sometimes I will pull up street view but that's rare. Sometimes if I think the neighborhood is hilly I will use Gaia GPS (free subscription from my brother) and look at the topo map to find streets that are level but that can be difficult to decipher and is also rare, mostly use it when I'm in a new area.

iOverlander is nice when I'm in a new area and just want to find a quick spot but I like quiet residential streets and a lot of spots I find on iOverlander are noisy sub par spots.

google maps. satellite view and street view can let you do some recon ahead of time and mark potential spots and rule out others. it can be outdated, so you still want to check it out in person, but its a big time saver.

"Onx" is a lot better as it will also include property lines. This allows you to know the borders of private and public land, but also gives you the info of the land owner. This can allow you to go and communicate to ask permission.

Favorite app for scoping out parking... Doesn't show example of scoping out parking, only for Apple, shilling own app and not genuinely sharing a helpful resource.

I'll stick with Google maps satellite and street view.

SpotHero and the DTLA website are pretty good. Maybe not always accurate for every lot, but pretty good at giving the general price.
